Daron smiled a little and shut his eyes falling asleep easily. he only hoped he had proved to Kei that he WAS better then Sho and willing to do anything to keep him alive. even die...

Kei laid back in his chair and sighed. Daron's blood was in his veins now, giving him strengh. He closed his eyes and growled. Stupid boy.

The next morning Daron awake feeling very groggy and a sharp pain in his head. a sheen of sweat covered him and he groaned, "god... i feel horrible." he shut his eyes. he just knew he had a fever....

Kei walked into his room with a bowl of soup. "here's something that might make you feel a bit better..." He sat down on the bed and blew on the liquid. "Open up..." He picked up the spoon and put it in Daron's mouth.

Daron blinked and drank the soup. when Kei took the spoon back he smiled, "its good."

Kei nodded. "I'm glad." He looked at the curtain and frowned. The light was hitting the fabric which made the room quite bright. It was another sunny day...

Daron swallowed staring at ther ceiling. he needed to know something though. was his sacrifice in vain? or... maybe it wqasn;t the blood part but the kissing part. Daron felt his stomach twist at the thought that Kei would reject him as both a friend and lover. after all, it has crossed his mind and he felt like he may be slowly falling in love. bad thing... but does not only one in love sacrifice everything for that speacial person, even life? he really had to dwell on this later.
"kei... do you hate me for what i did last night?" he unconisously tensed. he wasn;t ready for the answer.

Kei looked at him. "I wish that you hadn't done that...but I can understand why you did it." He smiled as he shook his head. "You will never let me die will you? You'll never give up." He sat up and sighed. "You will die someday...then I will have nothing."

"i know Kei but..." Daron whimpered, "you're all i have. you rescued me from death... and i paid back the favor i suppose but..." Daron shut his eyes and sighed, "let me ask you something.... would anyone else from your past have done what i did for you last night...?" terror struck his heart. would Sho have? would Daron still be compared to that boy! one that seemed royally ungrateful and felt like he was some immortal being. Daron's mind raced with rage.

Kei stopped and looked at the boy. He looked away as he started out the room. "no...no one else would have done that for me." He walked to the kitchen and put the bowl in the sink. He looked back at the room and sighed.

Daron smiled secertly. he made a name for himself. he sighed turning on his side feeling the warmth of the fever come back with avenege. he whimpered shivering and curling up feeling his head throb. he shut his eyes. he's been sick before. he would be fine. didn;t mean he had to like it, but if this is what he had to take to know he had saved Kei, well he;d say he;d gotten off pretty easily.

Kei sighed as he looked at the window. The sun was shining and he could hear people down below. He looked back at the room and frowned. He couldn't live like this much longer. Feeding off people's life, hiding in the darkness...saving human children...He was getting to old for this...too sick to live anymore.

Daron sighed feeling weary and fell into a deep sleep.
a few days passed, and Daron had expected to be better by now, but for some reason he just felt worse. he had been coughing up blood and throwing up and eventually refused food. his worst day though was between his second and third of the sickness.
it was midnight when it happened. Daron was dozing feeling himself slipping into sleep when a sharp pain ran up from the cut, speacifically the bite marks within throughout his arm and up his spine. Daron stifled a yelp behind his hand trying not to disturb Kei, wherever he was, most likely in the next room. he blinked curiously not understanding what had just happened and let his hand go inspecting the bite creases he made.
he had pulled it away to soon. a second one danced around his nerves like hell devils. Daron arched his back and screamed. a third made him screech again and his body shook as if Lucifer himself where shaking him.
distanly Daron understood what was happening. a seizure. but he was far from an epileptic... and then his mind registered nothing else but pain.

Kei suddenly heard the screams from Daron's room. Quickly he got off of his chair and ran to the boy's room. "Daron! Daron!" He ran to the boy's side and paniced. "fuck, hold on child." He reached down and took the boy into his arms. Kei ran to the window and opened it up with his vampiric powers. "hold on..." He flew out of the window and onto another rooftop. He jumped from rooftop to rooftop, at the speed of light. Soon they came to a hospital. Kei landed at the ER entrence and ran in. He held Daron closely even as the bright lights blinded him. "Someone please help!"

the people in the hospital looked up and suddenly went into slight panic. orders rang out across the halls for a streatcher.
Daron meanwhile was twisted, turning, screaming. oh god it hurt. he wanted it to stop. he wanted Kei to make it stop. Tears poured down the boys face and his hands were clenched so tight that they were bleeding. Daron suddenly felt his air supply cut off and he gasped no longer being able to scream, to breathe. the spasms stopped and his whole life froze and he saw stars then nothing. he wasn't breatheing.
"get him to the ER!" the docter screamed. the nurses took Daron from Kei and laid him down and rolled him off quickly.
