Audace looked back and glared. his father was looking bored and eassily following them, "do you have anything i could throw Kuni?" Audace whsipered, "like a knife?"

Kuni reached into his pocket and took out a small knife and handed it to Audace. "I hope you know what you're doing..."

"not really but i think so...." Audace grinned holding the knife tightly and he watched Coeur. he didn;t let his father see the blade though just watched and then when Coeur started catching up took aim and threw the knife.
the horse Coeur was on fell, getting a knife in it's chest, and Coeur fell onto the ground in a heap.
"that was payaback father!" Audace yelled.
"YOU'LL PAY FOR THIS I SWEAR IT!" but that was the only threat heard as they disappeared deeper into the woods.

Kuni looked back and smiled. "nice aim."
They rode for the rest of the day and on into the night. The horse started to foam from the mouth around midnight and Kuni stopped it.
He could see a glow from a near-by house and he tapped the reins lightly.

Audace had let himself calm down during the ride but was still rather alert. he probably would be for the whole night and maybe he wouldn;t even sleep... but he couldn;t let his guard down....

The rain started up again softly as they approached the house. Kuni looked over at a tree that was next to the front of the house.
He dismounted and ran to the tree, unshething his sword. He climbed up half way and cut the ropes that hung 3 children and an older woman. Across their neck were the symbols of the tribe. Kuni looked down at them and sighed. This had to stop...

Audace looked away and sighed. he cursed lightly glad HE wasn;t a killer.... well except against his own tribe. but maybe the tribe picked the wrong position for him. distraction... an he learned thiefery from his brother plus cunning from his mother he could even speak french all day is he wanted to. his father was the only one who taught him to be cold cruel and uncaring though... he could use that to his advantage....

Kuni walked to the door and opened it slowly. The table was turned and a few broken glasses layed on the floor. The thing that bothered him the most was that there was a dolly in the hallway that was covered in blood.
Again, there was no food or water left in the house. Most of the metals that made the house beautiful were gone, stolen by the tribe.
He walked to the bedroom and saw that they had taken all the clothes from the closet. He sighed as he sat down on the bed.

Audace was looking around looking sickened and pale. he bnoticed a few bloddy slash marks made from swords in the walls. it made him pale worse. yes, he was used to it but it didn;t mean he liked it....

Kuni looked up at Audace and sighed. "I wish this would stop, so many people are dying for no reason..." He looked down. "How can i make a difference? I can't reach out and touch every person..."
He looked at the bed and made sure there was no blood on it. he didn't want to sleep in someone elses blood.

"everyone can make a difference," Audace said and smiled, "we will trust me. i swear i'm going to make at least half that tribe suffer...." his eyes narrowed and he scowled, "espesscally Coeur..."

kuni stood up and walked to the bedroom door and shut it. "I guess you're right..." He walked back to the bed and sat down. Kuni patted the bed and smiled.

Audace looked at him and walked over and sat next to him wrapping his arms around the older man and he sighed. he was content just sitting here with him.

Kuni wrapped his arms around Audace and the two boys sat there in eachothers arms. "i'm sorry if you had to see your father again like that." He nuzzled Audace's cheek and smiled. "Atleast we made it out alive..."

"well it was gonna happen eventually...." Audace said smiling softly, "plus Kuns, you're not too hurt are you? i didnl;t want you to fight since you were sick and Thunder is...." Audace chocked on the word frowning.
