Audace glanced back at Kuni and frowned and continued to keep hold of his wrists. he looked forward and continued at this pace, he knew kuni wouldn't last long.

The day passed by as a cloudy and misty day. The sunset was just a small faint glow over the hills. During this time, Kuni though about his situation. Audace never said a word on their long trip. Kuni knew that what he was going was crazy, but he also knew that he had made a new and first friend.

Audace was glancing around and he smiled. even through it was barely light he could see the town that was close. hopefully Kuni was alright. he glanced back at the older boy and let the tired horse trot, "Kuni?"

Kuni looked up. "Yes audace?" he could see the outline of the dark town over Audace's shoulder and smiled slightly. He took a deep breath and sighed.

"we made it...how are you feeling?" audace grinned at Kuni then looked forward. they were close. Kuni was goung to be just fine and Thunder would get his rest.

"I'm fine i guess. If i'm still alive......i'm fine." he blinked slowly as they entered the town. The guards looked at them and frowned. They new that Audace and Kuni were of no threat due to the writing on Thunder's seat. It was the writing from the royal family.

Audace kept his eyes downward. anyone would know that his family in the tribe had their marks on eyecolor. violet or golden were both to be carefully watched. it was just his luck if every town knew of his family's unnatuailties. damn his father to actally be high ranking in the tribe!

Kuni's eyes grew weak and he closed them slowly. His hands slipped away from Audace and he fell off the horse. The guards quickly rushed over to Kuni to see if he was ok. One stepped back as he saw the tattoo on kuni's wrist. It was the royal sign. "It's the prince! bring him to shelter quickly!"

Audace stopped his horse and looked at Kuni and frowned, "damn." he jumped off of Thunder and walked over and kneeled down checking for injury to his head. Audace guessed he was gonna have a hell of a headache when he woke up.

One of the guards took Kuni to the nearest shelter. The other guard turned to Audace. "You, what business do you have with the prince?"

Audace stood but kept his eyes to the floor. he walked over to Thunder taking his reins, "i'm his bodyguard really... he got shot by an arrow by he tribe when we were split up and his horse was stolen as well as his erm... clothes so er... i've been trying to get him to the nearest town. we've been riding for hours so he;s probably lost a bit of blood..."

The guard bowed. "I'm sorry if I was a bit snappy. I'll take your horse and put it in the stall, please follow the man and you will be given a good bed and meal with the prince." He took Thunder's reins and walked it to the local stable.

"um thank you!" Audace called after the man then followed the other one the the 'shealter' he took Kuni to. hopefully he was doing alright. it worried him a bit that he had fallen off the horse but he did a good damn job of staying awake. Audace couldn;t have asked for more.

The guard brought Kuni inside and gave him to the ladies that ran the place. They brought him to their finest room and placed him on the bed. They took care of his wound for an hour then let him to sleep. They gave him a white cotton gown and a band over his head.
One of the ladies walked up to Audace and bowed. "I'm guessing that you'd like to stay with the prince. You must be tired and hungy." She handed him a gown and a cup of rice along with chopsticks. She then left the room and closed the door behind her.

"er uh thanks?" Audace blinked setting the gown down and started eating. he sighed. he was keeping his eyes to the floor just like he was taught. he rolled his eyes growling a little. like he was taught. damn his father.
other then thast he was worried half to death about kuni. he didn;t protect the boy like he was supposed to and look what happened. Kuni was hurt and he was still fine. that prince didn;lt have nearly enough experience or battle plans to live! he'd have to make sure the boy was safe or else he;d be dead meat.
