he didn't hear a word. His head rested on gradd's shoulder. Memory had fallen asleep once more. his eyes couldn't handle being open anaymore. He laid between reality and dreamland.

Gradd stopped talking when he realized that the child was asleep. Slowly he walked into an inn as he looked around it was so quiet. When he came up to the inn keeper he took out a bag of gold " I need an room if you have any... one for me and um... my son" The in keeper nodded as he gave him a key " just pick any room upstairs we dont have numbers..." Gradd nodded " thank you very much"

Memory shivered in his sleep. his body was weak and cold from being out in the rain naked like that. The warmth of the inn colided with the boy's cold body, that made him shiver. He clenched onto gradd tightly as he tried to get warmth.

Gradd hat set the child down on a bed as he walked over to the fireplace and just sat there... seeing a town up like this was just amazing to him... he was used to everything being gone and destroyed

Memory opened his eyes and looked around. He sat up and walked to the closet, opening it and taking a towel. He dried himself off, all the water and mud. He looked down at Gradd's jacket and sighed. it was all wet and muddy.

Memory took of the coat and put it on a hanger. He then went to the bed and took a blanket and climbed up on the windowsill, sitting down on the ledge. he looked at the rain and sighed.
"I'm never going to find my parents am I? I'm lost in time." he stared out hopeless. "there's so many people out there, how am I suppose to find my parents? I don't even know if I'm in my right time period. My parents might not even be alive yet. Or I might not even been born."

Memory looked over at him and sighed. "The sky was different in my time. I can remember that it was green." He looked up at the sky and sighed. "It only rained on tuesday. " He sighed and looked down again. He wasn't home.

Gradd glanced over at him oddly " I have two symbols... one I dont understand and the other is a heart shape with a king in it. although im the only one of this symbol that I have ever known. Why do you ask? and why would you know about the guardians?"

A crack of thunder ran through the town and Memory jumped. He got off the window and sat down on the floor next to Gradd. " I'm a guardian." he said quietly. "I don't know what one I am, what I protect I mean. I don't rememeber how I got it but I got it when I was very little, a baby even." He looked down at his hand then back up at Gradd.

He held up his hand for Gradd to see. A sign started to show but was very faded, like it didn't have the strength to show anymore. "I'm the Black Jack, I think that's what it's called. I don't remember really. Do you know anything about the Black Jack?"
