Gradd rushed passed the arrows dodging all of them until one of them hit up against his back. But he continued to move... no matter what he wouldnt allow her to die... as he rushed his way through he could see the monastery in the distance the one place where vampires could not enter

Malice saw the monastery up ahead. She took a sigh of relief. She wasn't that far away from it. Why had she never seen it before? The baby started to cry again and Malice frowned.

Gradd rushed towards it and suddenly jumped up as he dug his claws into the wall hard, and began to climb upwards. "Just hold on mother they cant touch this place its got a strong seal on it to ward them off"

She held on as tightly as she could. She could hear the bones in her shoulder cracking slowly. The pain was unheard of. She winced as her teeth chattered. She could see over the top of the wall now.

As he reached the top he jumped over the wall and held his mother down then stood up glaring downwards. Then looking back at the place he once called home " I will help you find Thock he will help you but until then I beg you stay down"

She nodded and watched gradd walk off. A few arrows went over the wall but they hit the roofs of the small houses.
Malice slowly crawled to a shadow corner. She undid the strings to her shreaded shirt and held the baby close to her bare breast. she sighed as she felt her other shoulder. It hurt like hell.

Gradd Suddenly ran as he jumped off and over the wall then suddenly felt a jolt of memories rushing through his mind everything went blank and suddenly he hit the ground hard. This must have been it then... he had done what he needed to. Slowly he shook his head as he got up on one knee and looked ahead

The boards of the woodfloor creeked as Gradd fell. There was a faint cry of a baby in the background.
There was hard breathing coming from the closed door infront of him. "stay calm dear. Just breath."

Gradd shook his head as he saw the vampires there where to many of them for him to stop even if they werent the evolved type. Suddenly he rushed back up the wall and jumped over changing back into his human form as he offered his hand to his mother " I will take you to a certain point from there my body will probrably disapear.... It cant remain in this existence much longer I can feel it.."

Gradd nodded slightly and suddenly he saw his arm as it started to fade off " I wont be gone... youll see me again when hes older... just raise me well this was what I wanted mother..." Gradd suddenly dropped down to his knees as his body disapeared and his essence vanished into his child form

Malice looked down as Gradd faded. A small tear fell from her cheek as she looked down at the baby. "You're name is Gradd child. You have a mother now and I love you with all my heart." she nuzzled the child as she could see a man coming towards her in the corner of her eye. It was Thock.
"That's it, stay calm. The pain will be over soon dear."

As time progressed the years went by as Gradd was raised by his mother... few things had changed in him really. He had no memory of the things in which he had done of saving her but... it was almost he could feel that there where two souls in him and not one... it was so strange. Sometimes he would hallucinate about things that he had never done before but they felt so real... slowly he stood up from the large tower as he just backed away, he didnt really care anymore. His family was safe here at this human castle it was the best he could do to keep them safe.

A woman ran out of a door that was high up in the tower. She held her dress as she ran down the stairs.
She bursted into the dark coartyard and looked around. The red, dark sky was darker during the late hours.
Her gray hair was tied up in chopsticks. Even though her hair was gray and old, her face was young and smooth. She looked like she was still in her 20's. A long silver chain hung from her lip to her ear.
"Gradd!? Where are you child!?"

Gradd glanced downwards from the tower as he heard his mother calling him. He frowned at the moment he wanted to be alone... He sighed when he ran off and began to pace his steps further out in her direction
