She watched as the treees went by fast. "There!" she pointed to an opening in the treetops. A large wooden home sat ontop of the branches. Boards were used to keep it up high, away from the ground. It was the womans home, where hunters couldn't find her.

Gradd jumpe dup higher into the branches until he reached the top and he climbed onto the house porch. He set his mother down then glanced below " Are you sure you will be safe here mother? Damnit I dont get it... if they manage to get to you then I die."

"It's safe here. This is my original home. The last Guardian of these woods made it strong so it will hold us well." she looked down as the dogs sniffed about below. "I won't die. Remember, this is the past. I don't die until you are born." She held Memory close and opened the door of the house.

She looked back and put her hand on his shoulder. "I want you to come inside." She turned back and walked into the house. This house was a little bit bigger than the last. This one had three bedrooms instead of two. Again there was a main room which held a table in the middle. The woman walked to the first bedroom and layed the child down.

Gradd stood up as he let out a brief sigh walking towards the door. As he walked inside he glanced around then shut the door as he just stood there.

The woman came out and walked over to gradd. "You can have my room in the back. It gives you the view of the whole forest. Since you can't sleep, it will give you something to look at. I'll be here in the Main room. If you need anything I'll just be here. I can't sleep either, I have to poison myself to get any sleep. You must have gotten it from me."

Gradd looked at her oddly then shook his head " I would rather you tried to get your rest, I will just be outside." He sighed walking back towards the door " sorry I just prefer the outdoors"

Gradd smiled slightly as he opened the door " I doubt that there is anything out there that I cant handle, good night mother" He sighed walking outside closing the door. He stared up at the nights sky through the trees trying to think of the next day

She sighed and stood up. She walked to her room and looked out the window, over her forest. She looked at the sky and sighed again, rubbing her stomach. "Another hundred years...."

He walked over to the edge and just sat down, if anything he wondered why Moebius had not spoken to him of not being able to kill kain in the first place

She watched the forest till the horizon grew light. The clouds had parted, they were done with raining. The birds started to wake and clean their feathers of the water. The woman sided and left her room and opened the front door. She handed Gradd a towled and smiled. "Good morning."

"No, i didn't sleep at all. I was just thinking a lot." She dropped the towel on his head. "Get yourself dry." She then looked out ober the treetops. "I wanted to thank you for last night."
