"Kirlia?" Axel questioned before giving a smile. "Sure, we'd love to take her. It's going to be pretty lonely here without the kids around, you know? Maybe she can liven us and the other Pokemon up." He saw Roxas nod, agreeing with his husband. "I'm sorry to hear about Pigoet though. She's an old bird but she had a full life. I'm sure she's happy even if her health is failing. Has he asked a Rescuer or Nurse Joy to put her down yet or will he let her go naturally." He nodded at the obvious answer. There was nothing wrong with the bird except for old age and Sirocco would let her die naturally. It was a good call but sometimes painful to watch. He knew from experience...
The grim conversation suddenly took a turn though when Sora changed the subject and asked a question that was aimed to his younger brother. Something about moving their father to a far away resort...
"What a pain..." The dark hair boy growled but it didn't slow his thought. "Fly high and twist!" The dragon was quick to listen to the orders, swooping over the crowd and shot up to the sky at an amazing speed. As he reached higher altitudes, his body started to circle around, surly making the normal type dizzy. The poor beagle had no idea what kind of wild ride he had gotten himself into but he yeld as the dragon made a sudden dip before twisting again, finding this treacherous ride enjoyable as the rain fell down over them.

"See, Riku - Well, Umbreon really - spotted this brochure to this resort." Sora said, opening it up for them to be able to see the pictures, the beautiful, oceanside shots making it look quite fabulous, blue eyes peeking over the edge of it. "But I don't think dad is going to agree too well about moving from here - or if he'd even consider it it would be in... well, in one of the towns we live in."
Roxas frowned some, nodding slowly, understanding what Sora meant. "That's true Sora... But even if you do get dad to agree - who said I or Ven would?" "Ah...Well..." The blonde chuckled softly, not meaning to give his poor brother a hard time. "If it's where dad wants to go, I'm fine with that. But you know how Ven is going to be." "Eeeeeh......" Sora looked away, imagining just that. Ven was always the one to react the most sensitively. He might even over-react more than DAD will. "THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN YOUR MAKING HIM LEAVE HOME?! THAT'S WHERE WE ALL GREW UP! AND NOW HE'LL BE A MILLION MILES AWAY?!"
The black-haired boy watched what Gunnar was up too, watching those fast turns enough to make his own stomach clench. But even still, he smiled, his original plan replaced by another.Thank you Jolteon. "CHARLIE!" Tensai yelled to be heard over the sound of the rain hitting the ground and sound of wind in his friend's ears. "THUNDER!" "SMEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR!" Came the cry, no chance for escape with foresight still in play - and so close to his target.
Down below, Roxanne was looking a little more confidant, as the Dragonair withered some in her confusion. "Borva! Flamethrower!" Lucina's eyes narrowed and she scoffed. "Saphira! Wrap!" "Draaagon..." Magenta-colored eyes opened before the Dragon-Pokemon jumped from the dirt and just as quickly curled her body around the silver fox, her tail wrapped around her mouth and holding her mouth closed. "Mmmls!?!?!" Borva cried, shaking her body this way and that as the snake-like body tightened around her.

"THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN YOUR MAKING HIM LEAVE HOME?! THAT'S WHERE WE ALL GREW UP! AND NOW HE'LL BE A MILLION MILES AWAY?!" A disgruntled blonde frowned on the other side of the screen, looking through to see his older brother sort of wince at the yelling. The man crossed his arms and huffed, looking away as he thought in pure disgust. How could he think of moving dad to some island in the middle of nowhere!? It was bad enough they hardly got to see him and the man wasn't getting any younger! "Sora, there's aren't gyms in Porta Vista so now that all our kids are out on their adventure, he's hardly ever going to see them. However, since it IS near Vermilion City, they can still stop by. If we move dad to Oblivia, we'll never see him again!"
"Peeeeeeert." A large cobalt blue–colored body with a wide mouth voiced behind the blonde but he went unnoticed by his master. Ventus was in Rustboro City at the moment, the actual call having to be transferred by Terra to get to the Cool Choreographer. "Why would you want to subject him to that sort of environment anyway? Sure it's nice and pretty but what did you say? 85% of the population is elderly? So.... all that means is he'll make friends who will die in a few years. Everyone around him is dying anyway! Mom's dead and now Pigoet is on her way... I think he's dealt with enough, Sora. We'll just find a nice retirement home in Vista for him... or maybe even aunt Nova will take him in."
A cute little ship that read S.S. Happy Sails - obviously named by their children- was sailing towards the dock by the cliffs of Canalave City. "MOMMY!" A little girl cried happily as they saw their mother waiting from them on the dock. "You should a seen the big Seaking we saw! She was HUGE!" "Mimemime!" A little pink and blue pokemon sang behind her, seeing as happy as she. "That's great sweetie!" "We caught lots of magikarp too!" Another little girl smiled, her own little pink pokemon jumping up and down. "Yes, they're going to taste delicious!" A man smiled up at his wife as they came closer, becoming a little absentminded from her beauty as she was still young and fair and easy on the eyes.
Unfortunately, he left his wheel to go see her, hoping his Ambipom would take over for him but he too was happy to see the woman, hoping down from his station to wave to her as well. With no one steering the small boat, it began to drive off course.
CRASH!
"AAH!" "YIIEEEE!!" "WHOA!" "OH NO!" The boat crashed, it's bottom being ripped up by the rocks underneath and though all the passengers seemed alright, the horror of the accident was actually in the water as oil started to seep from behind.
"STEEL WING!" Gunnar cried the moment Tensai got his call out. This was bad but he was hoping he could make it backfire. As the beagle started the attack, the wings behind him started to glow bright. Lightning shot down from the cloudy skies and due to the 'metal' that appeared, it was conducted. The electricity ricocheted off the dragon's wings and shot out to the next highest point. The beagle itself.
OOC: I probably won't be on again tonight. I have to still wrap and take a shower and I'm still pooped from last night. Hope this post will be find until then! Can you leave me your address again? I can remember everything except your house number. D: Miss ya and thanks again for winning me that plate! ♥

Wow. Ventus really WAS predictable.
"Ven I'm not making him go anywhere." Sora said as kindly as he could. "I'm just going to offer it as a possibility. And whats the difference for him if he goes to a retirement home here or somewhere else? He'll still only make friends who are elderly. And Aunt Nova isn't exactly a spry Torchic herself."
The blonde huffed starting to further his argument - which he was discovering was very easily knocked down by his brother, before Sora finally cut in, "Oh just admit it Ven. You don't want him to go anywhere because you'll miss him."
Orange eyes widened, seeing the lightning being reflected from the steel wing. What?! How was that even - oh no! "CHARLIE! WATCH OUT!" "Gle?" The poor beagle glanced back, seeing the electricity racing back towards him. His hold scrambled some, and could only thing of one way to get out of the way, before he did something daring and crazy, as he let GO of the dragon and suddenly disappeared from the top of him. Hanging upside down and only by his tail, the beagle stuck out his tongue at the dragon yet again. The dragon's eyes widened only to get hit by the electricity after all.
The battle wasn't meant to last much longer, though, because down below, a fox valiantly trying to force her attacker off, suddenly started to panic. "Mmmn! Mnnn!!!!" Borva called, shaking her head and running around in circles, whining loudly. Unlike the humans, who didn't quite understand the behavior, the dragonair holding onto her did. She carefully unwound herself from the fox and bouncing away from her. "SHAPIRA, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! We have her right where we want her!" Lucina called, sounding none too happy at being disobeyed. "Draaag..." The other called nervously - but Borva didn't seem to care she had an opportunity to attack as she turned and ran over to her master. "NINE! NIINE!" "Borva, what is it?!" Roxanne asked, dumbstruck by the fox's strange and panicked behavior. What was wrong with her? She yelped in surprise when the fox bit the edge of her shirt and tried to drag her forward. The commotion was enough to make even Gunnar and Tensai pause, and Charlie and Sal were looking curiously from the air. "H-Hey stop it!" "Taaails..." Borva growled in frustration, letting go before barking a few more times and turned, running off into the buildings.
Lucina found this hilarious. "She's running away!! Haha, what a coward!" Roxanne scowled at her, but for the most part didn't have time for her. What was up with her? She was acting like Absol wo- "You know, the babies of two different Pokemon can adopt either parents abilities." Axel was saying as he patched up the leg to a kitchen chair. "Huh, really?!" The twins asked. "Yep. So maybe when he gets older, Zan will be able to curse someone." Roxas put in from where he was helping the red-head. "Haha, or maybe Borva will sense a natural disaster!" Axel laughed. Roxas pointed to the broken chair. "Anytime she's around IS a natural disaster." Her eyes widened. That was it!
"Something's wrong." She said, glancing to her brother, before she started to run after the wayward fox - ignoring Lucina's calls. She didn't have time for Ribbons right now. "H-Hey Roxanne, wait up!" Sanyi called, her friends running after her. "Yeah, we're coming too!"
"Gllle..." Charlie was saying as he held onto Salamence, but it was his dismayed tone that made the dragon look down at him, before looking towards the way he was staring. So high up, they could easily see what was wrong. An inky blackness was slowly spreading over the distant sea. "Charlie!" The beagle glanced down, seeing his master standing below him. "Come on!" "Gle!" He unwrapped his tail, letting himself fall, and Tensai caught him easily, not minding as he got splattered by a bit of paint. "Guess we'll have to have a re-match sometime." The black-haired boy said the siblings pair, before he turned and ran after his friends who were vacating the area. And just like that, they were gone.
.............................. "What the HELL was that?!" Lucina cried, throwing her arms out in the following silence of a once intense battlefield.

Ventus paused, sighing as his brother finally cut in between his bitching. "Of course I'll miss him. Dad and I never really saw things on the same perspective but he's my dad... and he helped so many people by aiding with a cure for Pokerus. I miss him even now, when he's ON the same continent. But it's not about me... I mean, he'll have to drop and leave everything behind, like when you and Riku moved to Mirage. We all missed you and it's not going to be much different with dad moving all the way down there."
"Swaaaaam!" Orange fingers pulled at his master's shirt, telling him they were going to be on soon. "Right, I gotta go. I just don't think it's a good idea, Sora. We'll find a nice place for him in Porta Vista." He gave his brother a small smile before he waved off. "Talk to you later~" When the screen went blank, the two men on the other side could hear some whimpering on the bed where Bre pulled his paws over his head. "Haha, don't worry Bre..." Riku soothed, reaching his hand out to run it over the black and yellow fur. "You had a good idea. You know how Ven is."
"Borva!" Roxel cried as he saw her rush off. Sure she was spunky and adventurous but she wouldn't run off on her first fight... would she!? However, knowing that she was an offspring of an Absol, he had to think this behavior was more than skin deep. "Let's go!" "Torchic!" Melody's eyes narrowed in determination and she quickly jumped onto Roxel's backpack and held on tightly as he rushed after his twin sister. "Hey! Wait up!" Bonnie called, collecting her things and headed off down the road with Sanyi at her side. Even now, the nervous boy still wondered how she could run so fast in high heels!
As the group disappeared after the stray fox, the large dragon landed, a little fried from the thunder attack but would be alright. "Return." His master called as he and his own sister watched the peculiar display. "Well, that's a new way of torchicing out." Gunnar grinned, taking their situation as a victory. "We better head to the Poke Center again to heal them up." They nodded to each other and as they headed back towards the building they had just came from not too long ago, the boy glanced back, seeing the trail was empty. "I have a feeling we'll bump into those losers again."
"Where is she taking us!?" Bonnie had to call at the back of the line, trying to get by people who were stopping in their place to ask her for an autograph. She had no time for that now! The question was answered relatively quick when the white fox began to bark and ran across someone's yard. "Borva! This is private property!" Xel cried in alarm, almost stomping through the family's flower bed. Still, the fox continued down a small path in the back that brought them to a dock where a family was watching the waters below. "Ah!?" A young woman looked back, seeing a large group of teenagers suddenly running towards them. "The water!" One of the little girls pointed out, showing them the spill that was gradually getting larger.
To all of their horror, they saw just what Borva had sensed. "THE POKEMON!" Both Xel and Roxy gasped, knowing quite a few pokemon lived close to these docks. Where were their dads when they needed them!?

"Yeah Ri's right." Sora said confidently as he set the phone back on the hook, before walking over to the fox, picking him up and nuzzling their noses together before laying down beside Riku, setting the fox on top of his chest and scratching behind his ear.
"We should at least still ask." The brunette said, glancing up at Riku as he pet the fox. "And if they don't like it, then we will find them something closer. We could even try Sunyshore. That would be closer to all of us and still by the ocean."
"If we're unlucky we will!" Lucina huffed as they stepped inside, her hair still dripping from the rain storm. She scoffed in distaste, knowing her ribbons were no doubt messed up, and cursed those stupid idiots for making her fight when they were just going to run off!
Where the heck were they going, anyways?!
The beach, apparently.
But it wasn't to so pleasant things like sunbathe, or build sand castles, or even to swim - oh, definitely NOT to swim. It was to stare and watch as oil seeped through the water, spreading quicker and quicker by the minute. It was Sanyi who, staring at it, felt his heart stop. Because there was a small, dark secret they all knew about the poor blue-haired boy. One that, on occasion, caused Aqua to joke with Terra about how maybe he should of raised him instead.
Sanyi was terrified of the water. Or more specifically, terrified of dirty water. He was never a kid to play in puddles or in the sprinklers and never drank tap water, and seriously considered it a setback to water plants with a hose. It was a fear he often could never hide, and though as he grew older his parents - and Draco especially - had weaned off of most of these fears, there was nothing in the world that could stop this spark of panic and fright.
Because for once, this contamination was deadly.
"Ah... um... Errm... What do we do?!!?!" Roxanne started to panic, Borva sitting down on the dock and looking at them imploringly, as if they were supposed to know the answer! She knew oil spills were really bad, especially for Pokemon, because the water became toxic. "Uh...Uh.. we could burn it!" Oil burned, right?! "No!" Tensai cried, hugging onto Smeargle and shaking his head vehemently. "If we burn it it'll turn into toxic gas. We uh... We need to stop it from spreading. Oil and water don't mix, so all of it is on the top of the water." But how would they make it not GO anywhere...? "Oh, why don't we try freezing around it - create a barrier around the oil so it can't go anywhere?"

"FREEZE IT!? Do you really think that will work!?" Xel worried, only thinking that it would contaminate the ice. "What are you kids doing here!? We need the police or the Pokemon Rescuers!" The man began to panic, knowing that this was all his fault. If he wasn't so stunned by his wife's beauty, he would have docked safely. Not only did he put his children in danger's way, now innocent Pokemon would get injured. There was a sudden flash and everyone looked to see a small sea slug, pink and brown in color. "Gastrodon, use ice beam around that oil!" Bonnie gave the order, making the slug open it's mouth and an icy-cold beam of energy shot out, circling around the oil to make a barrier.
Thanks to Tensai's call, the oil did seem to pause as it touched the ice wall. "YES! TEN-CHAN IS THE BEST!" Roxel cheered, even Melody began to jump up and down. Tensai really was smart. It was shocking that he wasn't Terra's kid, not saying Riku and Sora were idiots but he nearly had as many books as the tough gym leader. "Yea, but not what...?" Bonnie frowned in concern, knowing there had to be some pokemon under the surface since it spread quite far. "Does anyone have a poison pokemon? Maybe they can suck up the toxins?" The woman suggested, truthfully not knowing all too much about pokemon and their abilities.
Everyone glanced at Roxanne, seeing how flustered she was getting. Everyone that knew her knew why too. Because Axel and Roxas were once great - and still were- rescuers, Roxanne had a self-esteem issue that if she couldn't match or be better at helping Pokemon...
THUMP, THUMP, THUMP
Eyes of all colors glanced back to suddenly see a young boy heading straight for them. From what they could see, he was wearing black overalls with a red jacket that had yellow flaps. Only a certain kind of person wore these kind of clothes! At his side raced a Monferno that looks almost as determined as the blonde. "A POKEMON RANGER!" The small family cheered, knowing that their issue would be solved. Unfortunately, it was solved rudely as the blonde boy pushed his way through the crowd and paused at the edge of the dock without a word. They watched as the blonde pointed to the pollution and to their horror, the Pokemon shot a blast of fire down towards it.
"OI! What are you doing!?" Bonnie growled, wondering if this kid was for real. He was going to get them all killed! It didn't take long for the smoke to build and thicken the air around them. "EEEEE!!!" One of the little girls gasped as she saw another pokemon from the boy's shoulder JUMP off and started to glow.
"MIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIN!!!"
"Wha-WHOA!" Everyone stumbled when the ranger turned around, spreading his arms wide to collect everyone and began to push them back. Over their shoulder, a bright light came from the water and began to reach out across the small dock. The Monferno oddly began running away faster, heading up the bank and out of the way. There was no time to ask what was going on when a sudden explosion behind them sent them all flying across the dock.

"I don't know!!" Tensai called back in sudden panic, his eyes suddenly unsure but they didn't have time to argue! A plan was a plan - and bonnie, luckily, DID have a Pokemon who could use ice attacks. And because they were well-trained for contests where the biggest and flashiest attacks often got the most notice, the Gastrodon handled making the barrier all by itself.
Which was good - but now they stared at what they had done and realized they didn't know what to do next. How were they going to get the oil out OF the water? And dispose of it safely? And what about all the Pokemon?! Roxanne gripped a strand of her hair and tugged on it, furious at herself for not knowing what to do and thinking she could handle this.
But their solution came just running down the dock. But, his solution was the same one Tensai had just disagreed about. "Hey wait!" He cried, but is was no use as flames scorched across the oil in seconds, the liquid highly flammable. Dark, black smoke started to rise in the air, and the ranger was quick to start shoving them away. "H-Hey! What are you doing?!" Tensai cried, looking back over his shoulder, "What about your friend -" Orange eyes widened when he saw the white glow started to surround the 'pool' of oil, before he found out why they were being pushed away as an explosion made them all topple over.
"Ugggh... what happened?" Roxanne groaned, rubbing her head and trying to lift her head, finding her face covered in tails. "Borva, get off!" "Tails!" The silver-colored fox barked, jumping off of her 'trainer' and shaking herself out. The other humans were slowly picking themselves up off the floor and glanced back towards the water. The ice was gone, burnt by the flames.
And so was the oil.

There was some coughing as the gas was pushed away, the small family and large group slowly getting up from the explosion. "Sis, are you alright?" Xel had to ask, looking at his sister whose hair was all over the place thanks to the explosion and her pokemon landing on her. He got a grumble in returned and knew she was fine. "Ah, Melody!?" He suddenly called in fear, glancing around to look for his own pokemon but she was no where to be found until-- "CHIIIIIIIIIIIIC!!" Wild eyes looked up to see that she had FLOWN back to the small woods and was stuck in a bush. "Hang on!"
"Roxy..." A concerned model helped her girlfriend up but was pushed aside out of pure rage. Oh boy... where we go again. She knew the Ranger was doomed, getting in the way of a 'Rescuer'. The blonde stomped herself down the dock to the boy that had come out of nowhere and began to give him a piece of her mind, not seeing the relief on the faces of the small family as they looked over the dock and water. Everything was clean and clear and it didn't even look like anything had even happened! "Wow..." The girls giggled, the family wanting to thank everyone who came to aid but it seemed like there was no chance in talking to the two blondes, so instead, they walked over to Tensai, Sanyi and Bonnie.
"Thank you so much." The man began, hugging his two children to his sides. "I really need to be more careful. I forgot just how delicate nature really is." "Mimemine!" "Happiny!" "Pom!" Before the three could reply, there was a sudden voice in all their heads. "And who do you think you are, talking like that!? Yea, we saw you do something: A whole lot of nothing!"
Heads turned again, this time, seeing a pokemon perched on the ranger's shoulder. That was where the voice was coming from!

"What the hell were you thinking?! You could of hurt someone doing whatever you did!!" Roxanne was crying as she stomped over to the other blonde, her eyes blazing. Her temper was just like her father's, unpredictable and uncontrollable. "We had everything under control anyways!"
That was when she got a snap back - but not from the boy. No, his lips never moved. In fact, she couldn't even really say she 'heard' it. Well, not with her ears at least. It was more like an echo in her mind, as if she was thinking in stereo of something. But it certainly wasn't HER voice talking in such a scathing way. "Well what do you kn-....oh........?" She snapped her eyes glancing to his shoulder where she saw a bit of movement as a Pokemon jumped up their, and then her voice cracked and got a little higher before falling away completely due to pure... shock.
Her mouth opened and closed a few times, staring at the white and green Pokemon on the boy's shoulder. "Is that......Shaymin?" Came a call from behind her, only dimly aware that it was Sanyi. "Ut...wuihd..." She spluttered out without words. Was she dreaming or something wild like that?!

The blonde ranger suddenly looked rather bashful, glancing at the legendary who was sitting on his shoulder. He didn't seem as shocked as the others because the truth was, this Pokemon was his partner pokemon. Still, his face had a different kind of expression. It was like what the Pokemon was saying, wasn't exactly what the ranger wanted to say. "Oh, but they just wanted to help!" The youngest of the little girls pouted, not liking how very mean and rude this little pokemon was. "Well, if they wanted to help, they should have found real professionals!" The little hedgehog gave a sure nod and patted her little paws against the boy's shoulder.
"MIIIIN! MINMIN!!" She suddenly cried when the boy took her down and push her inside his carrying case. A hard blush ran over his cheeks, bowing some before rushing off back the way he came. "HEY WAIT!" The small group called, finding the whole thing rather strange. Just as the Ranger sped off, Xel fell flat on his back, having forgotten gravity since he put all his weight on his butt to pull out the chick. "Torchic!" Feather flew and they both watched as the blonde raced by, even if he was upside down.
"What a strange day. I'm kinda glad it's over~" The red and blonde hair music lover sighed, pulling his hands behind his head while his colorful pokemon walked besides him. They were headed to a nice looking hotel, of course, thanks to Bonnie, they could stay in such nice places. They still needed to stick around so Tensai could get his badge. "We should train tomorrow, what do you think?" He asked, glancing over at his best friend who seemed rather preoccupied, seeing a nervous glint in his eyes. He knew that look. Tensai had the same look every time he came over to spend the weekend. He remembered that look even when they were having so much fun.
He was getting homesick.
"It'll be ok, Ten-chan..." Roxel suddenly paused, letting the rest of the group catch up some. Slowly, he reached his hand out and took the other's making sunset colored eyes look up at him. "As long as we have each other, we'll be ok."
"Come now, Roxy.... you aren't gonna let that little thing get you all flustered, are you?" Bonnie frowned, her own attempt to hold Roxy's hand failing time and time again as they headed to their hotel for the night. If she didn't know any better, her 'time of the month' was around the corner but she knew this behavior reflected her own father. Full of self conflict and depression. She couldn't save everyone... she didn't even dub herself as a Rescuer and she was trying to carry the motto of one. "Let's just get our room and relax, huh? Tomorrow will be a bright, brand new day." Of course, Sanyi had to but in that tomorrow it was suppose to rain. "SAN!? Do you mind!?"
Or maybe it was just a girl thing.

Tensai looked at his best friend, a shaky smile on his face. How did Roxel always know what he was feeling? He supposed thats what best friends did. "I know it's just..." He sighed, looking at the concrete. "When I saw the oil spill... all I could think about was how much I wished my parents were there to tell me what to do. And then that kid just comes out of nowhere and saves the day like it's nothing! And then battling Byron and losing... and then Gunnar defeating him so easily... and keeping me on the ropes that entire battle..."
He scowled just a bit, feeling his anger returning at how the Mine Badge was just shoved in his face like a trophy he fell short of, but sighed. "I just want to be a great trainer, like my dad. But, all I feel like right now is a big failure, and that I wasn't ready for this journey." "Smeaaargle..." Came a said call beside him, a tail wrapped around his neck comfortably as Charlie nuzzled him. He didn't think that! They had stood a great chance of winning!
"Hmph." Roxanne just scoffed, kicking an abandoned soda can in the road with such force it banged up against a mailbox and came sailing back only for her to kick it again. "Stupid creature. What's he mean, professional? I've been handling Pokemon since before I could ride a bike!" She growled and grumbled, acting as if she hadn't heard even a word Bonnie said. "All he did was clean some stupid air - big whoop! A fan can do that too!"
She stomped down on the cracks in the road, hoping the saying 'Step on a crack, break a Pokemon's back' was true, and that stupid little green fuzzball was WITHERING IN PAIN.

"Ten-chan...." Roxel sighed, knowing how easy it was for Tensai to get so down. He must have gotten it from his daddy Riku because there was no way he got that from uncle Sora! "You know no one's born to be a great Pokemon master. It takes years! Even centuries! And... you're not the only person who feels like they're under someone's shadows. I mean... look at my dads. They're both successful heroes to people and pokemon alike. How do you think I feel.... when I can't defeat a grass type with my fire type...." "Torchic...." Melody looked down at the ground, feeling suddenly shameful but perked up when she was picked up and cuddled. "It's because I don't want to see my friends hurt. All our pokemon are going to have to get hurt through the course of time if we want to be great trainers... and let me tell you, Gunnar and Lucina have been training since they were like five. Their father is a big wig trainer himself. You're not the only person they made feel like crap."
He glanced back at the rest of the group heading up the sidewalk. "I mean, look at uncle Venny. He tried for years to be a great pokemon trainer and only through a wrong choice, did he find the job he was successful in. And even my daddy Axel... he didn't want to be a Rescuer, or a trainer... he wanted to be a Pokemon Nutritionist, which he is now. We're still young, Ten-chan.... the world is so bright and vast... maybe being a trainer isn't what you're meant to be... but if it is, things can only get better." His arm wrapped around his cousin's shoulder and they continued on to their hotel. "Come on, let's get some ice cream!"
The next day in Canalave City, it did rain like Sanyi had predicted but it didn't rain in another city, which didn't see rain all that much being located on an active volcano. It was bright and sunny as always and like everyday after a fresh batch of coffee, Axel was out, making his runs over the acres with the help of Rapidash to feed their Haven. In the middle, the blonde Pokemon trainer had his own hands full. After discussing the idea over breakfast, Roxas decided that he needed to get the fox and his mother some fresh air. He quickly worked on setting up a fence near the exit by their room, putting up a field that would absorb Dark type attacks. When it was up and steady, Roxas headed back inside to check on the mother and baby, seeing they were up and looking for some food.

OOC: I'm probably not going to be on tonight, I don't feel very good
There was a sigh, the blonde staring through the window at the two, before he went over to the door and punched in the code. He stepped in, balancing two bowls of pokefood carefully, seeing both of the strange Pokemon looking at him imploringly. He gave them a smile, and pointed to the door opposite the room - one they had never been through before. "How about having a meal outside today?"
The slate-colored fox's little ears twitched and he looked at his mother, looking excited, "Mama can we?!" As he often was after the shots, he was doing much better. Roxas had come in that early morning before the sun was even fully up to give the fox a quick check over and take his temperature. And he found, to his pleasant surprise, the fever had broken. It was a good sign, meaning that the infection was wearing away and he was starting to get better. His energy even seemed to be better.
Roxas looked between them, seeing the mother's eyes narrowed dangerously, as if she expected some sort of trick, but her son's excitement melted her heart some. They had seen them putting up the gate earlier, and now she knew why it was there. Slowly, she agreed. And one door was shut, but another was opened.
The fox giggled running out and rolling onto the grass. Finally, no more tile! Further away were there bowls, but the fox paid them no mind as he, like his mother, inspected their bounds. But more curious than any of that was what was happening on the outside there gate. They didn't even come running to their food immediately when Roxas set the two bowls down. One of course was for the baby, and the other for the mother - he hoped today the tiny Zorua would be able toe at most of his meal. Axel had made both dishes specifically for them, mixed with vitamins and minerals to fight off disease, boost the immune system, and give them the nutrition they needed.
"Mama, look at the funny birds!" Zorua said, seeing a silver bird and a blue-and white cloud bird flapping their wings, talons buried into hay, as they flew it over to the ranch area for the pokemon there. Further away, they spotted Zan, the smaller of the two Absols on the ranch, refilling holes that the ground types had dug all around their area. And, over by the pond... "Flaaaaar!" Came a happy call as the fire-fox dove in, once again ignoring her chores in favor of having fun. From the surprisingly deep pond, she was lifted up onto the head of a large red serpent, Riot not seeming to mind his near-constant visitor. She chuckled and rode down his back like a slide, splashing back into the water.

Red clawed paws reached out hesitantly before lowering, feeling the green blades of grass tickle her pads. She, unlike her son, was still on high alert. Still, she let the boy be himself, relieved that his energy was coming back. Nothing made her more happy than to see him run and frolic in the grass, his black fur sticking out like sore thumb. Seeing her baby so happy, she tried to relax and expose herself to the world outside the building. The sun was bright and hot here, and the open space made her a little worried. It wasn't until she heard a metallic cry overhead that made her duck against the ground, her belly brushing up against the dirt. Again, her son called happily, making her raise slowly and made her way over to him as he gazed at the birds.
Bright green eyes watched the birds fly off towards a barn, completely ignoring them down below. Together, they scanned the area, seeing all sorts of new Pokemon for the first time. It was overwhelming for the mother but to her son, it was a brand new adventure. Large Pokemon with fire coming from their necks and rear circles around and around a wooden fixture, odd little brick mice were popping up from the ground, making the white and blue wolves growl.
White and blue wolves...? Her black hairs rose when she spotted the other dark type, their claws matching perfectly if it wasn't for their color. The mother sniffed the air, trying to pick up their scent but so many mixed in, it was hard to distinguish which was theirs. Her boy continued to run around the barriers of the pen, looking at all the new creatures and sights. His voice was yelling and laughing in her head but her gaze was still on the wolves. She was so preoccupied, she didn't notice the little Kecleon walking up to the pen, peering inside due to curiosity. It was a bad idea and sad day for him when he stumbled backwards and scrambled to his feet as a vicious snarl shot out at him, the cage being ferociously clawed at, nearly giving the other a heart attack. "LEON! LEON!" The little pokemon called as he rushed away, suddenly changing the colors around him to blend in.
