The Tale of Seven: The Summon of Sorrow

"Geez, I never saw anyone so eager to battle before..." The young nurse pouted, not liking the fact that one of these pokemon were going to get hurt or fatigued. Weren't they suppose to be saving their healing spray and supplies? Just because they were pokemon rescuers didn't mean they could fix up all the pokemon they break!
Of course, besides her, the brunette grinned something devious. He stood, eager as Roxel to see the battle. This was probably the only thing they had in common.
As for Bonnie, she again just rolled her eyes, knowing this was bound to happen. Their 'friendship' actually lasted longer than she expected.

The girls didn't take long to start the fierce, heated battle. "Come on Roxy!" Xel cheered, seeing that already, Lucina's pokemon was stronger.
"Nice! You show her!" Gunnar was practically standing next to the fire head cheering for the other side. Their eyes suddenly clashed and low and behold, they began to fight too until both Namine and Tensai pulled them off of each other.
"Knock it off, Gunnar!" Xel snapped, his teeth flashing at the elder teen.
"Or what? You and what army? The pixie league?" Gunnar taunted.
"Pixie army!?" Namine huffed, becoming a little flustered.

Dark exotic eyes turned slowly, seeing a pair of glowing eyes watch in silence. "Welcome to the team..."

As the arguing and battling continued amongst almost everyone, they all stopped when Lucina called a powerful, unforgiving move. Earthquake.
The whole area around them shook, making them all lose their balance when shards of rock shot up through the ground.
"Hey Luci!" Gunnar barked, asking her what the deal was but even though the attack finished, the ground began to shake again. This made everyone pause, even the girls battling as they all silently looked around. Roxel looked down at his feet, seeing the pebbles and dishes shake, like there might actually be a real earthquake below them! A sound erupted in all their ears just as the ground shaking increased below them and from what it sounded like, there was only one thing that would cause it.

"STAMPEDE!"

Bags and dishes are grabbed and stuffed into bad while the ones they had been using with food still in it were left. Pokemon that had been released were quickly called and just as bags were grabbed, they saw it. It was like an inferno opened up on the pathway clearing as a stampede of wild ponyta headed their way. Lucina must have frightened them with that attack.
"SHIT, SHIT, SHIT!!"
Instantly all nine teens were running for their lives, knowing they didn't have the time to call upon any flying pokemon to make a quick escape. These pokemon were fast, angry, confused and frightened and Roxel and Roxanne knew just how bad their situation was.

Worse part was, even if they did blend into the stampede, Roxy knew the flaming manes and tails would burn them.
"WHAT NOW!?" Namine cried while Sanyi was practically ripping her arm off to keep her moving, thinking that she was obviously too dainty to run fast.
"WE NEED TO FIND A BIG STRUCTURE SO THAT THEY PASS BY US! CAN'T BE SOMETHING FLAMMABLE!" Roxel informed, running close to Tensai.
Gunnar, naturally, had no problem running, already ahead of most of them except for Kadaj and his sister. Strangely enough for a sick kid, the silverette was incredibly fast. "GOT ANY TRICKS UP YOUR SLEEVE, FREAK?" The brunette smirked, his eyes darkening under the shadow of his hair.

"THEY'RE GAINING ON US!" Bonnie yelped from the back of the line, cursing that she knew how to walk OR run without wearing heels.
"AAAAAAH!!!" Namine screamed, suddenly being tugged to the right, behind a large boulder. She was pulled to the ground forcefully, making her lose her balance to land right on Sanyi's lap. The rest could only continue running, hoping that for some reason, another large boulder was up on the horizon. Namine held onto the bluette tightly, feeling the whole world shook around her as the horses galloped by, some even jumping over the rock and landing hard in front of them. "SANYI!!!"

Just when they all thought they were doomed and the next place they would arrive at would be the hospital to undergo painful burn operations, the sky darkened a bit, making Gunnar crank his neck up and blinked, not believing what he was seeing.
Charizards.
And not one, but two, flying overhead, looking down at their crisis. Funny thing yet, someone was riding one.
"LOOK!" He pointed, making more heads turn to see the sight of the dragons gliding down. Even still in impending danger, the group slowed their tired legs when they heard large stomps, looking back to see the charizards had landed close by, blocking the way of the stampeding ponyta.

"CHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARR!"
"ZAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!"
The two dragons stood about 100 feet away from each other, all hunching over and roaring at the ponies. Instantly, the hoard stopped, some kicking up their front hooves and neighing in fright. Fire was blown from the orange pokemon's mouths, and even though they were the same element, the horses knew they were no match for these two. Powerful tails that were ignited with fire at the tip, swung while the great beasts stepped forward, making the horses move back.
"CHAAAARZAAAARD!"

Slowly, one by one, the wild ponyta turned and headed back down the trail they had come from, calming and collecting themselves. The charizards continued to follow them, making sure they were headed back to where they came.
"Huh...?" Namine opened her eyes, seeing the horses walking back towards them in a more subtle manner, not paying them any mind.
Confused, the two stood, standing still to make sure they didn't frighten the timid beasts as they watched the charizard keep them in line.
"What the--- hey!" Gunnar pointed again, this time, to their left to see a figure standing on another large boulder.

From what they could see, he was wearing black overalls with a red jacket that had yellow flaps. Only a certain kind of person wore these kind of clothes! And if they squinted, there some something small and green on his shoulder. A fine styler was attached to his arm, glowing just slightly. In the breeze of the small field, his semi-long hair whipped around his face but there was no questioning the color of his eyes as the pure purple orbs looked their way.
"Wooow.... a Top Ranger...." Namine swooned, never actually seeing one before!

[Reno]

"I TOLD YOU GUYS NOT TO FIGHT!" Tensai was screaming over the sound of the hooves, the battle but a distant memory. He hardly remembered grabbing his pack - in fact, he wasn't sure it was even his at all. He had just snatched up the closest one.
"NOT NOW TEN." Roxy cried, trying to think under the pressure of it all. But wild Ponyta were some of the worst; they were fierce when riled up. Her dad always told her to keep her distance because a wild horse was not a creature to mess with.
She looked around, trying to find a place they could speed off of the trail and into a safer place.
Could this get any worse?! Lucina was too focused on running that she didn't feel the way the wind whipped at her hair and, slowly, her ribbon came untied. The red ribbon flew through the air, getting caught up between the legs of the rampaging horses as her hair flew freely across her shoulders.

Up ahead, Kadaj was wondering if this had been such a great idea after all. He never knew traveling was so dangerous. Well, at least he could run! Of course, as a thief, running had to be something he was good at!! He outdistanced all of them pretty easily, but just running wasn't going to be enough - Ponyta were some of the fastest land creatures and had much more stamina; they would overtake them eventually.
"GOT ANY TRICKS UP YOUR SLEEVE, FREAK?"
Glowing eyes widened at the shout behind him, looking back, and even in this moment Gunnar was smug as he glared at him. "Tch," He shook his head and just concentrated on the path ahead.

"Ah, there!" Sanyi shouted, but no one had heard or seen. Yet, he didn't dare not take the opportunity as he dragged Namine off and behind the boulder panting hard. Her yell made him hug her close, murmuring gently, "It's okay... we're okay..." His cousins though...

But just as soon as it had started, it ended with two roars echoing in the sky. They all watched in surprise as the two Charizard came from the sky as if sent by Arceus himself. With growls and fierce roars, they managed to make the Ponyta back up. Tensai leaned over with his hands on his knees, "We're saved!"
"How... how could that of... happened...?" Roxy was panting, when they all looked over at Gunnar's shout. Five pairs of eyes widened in shock as they caught sight of the boy. "Y-You!" She yelped, unable to belief it. It was that ranger from the oil spill!!
"Eh...?" Sanyi looked over at Namine as he heard her voice, and saw the heartbreakingly adoring look on her face. His expression turned from relieved to unamused as he glared at the brat kid who had 'saved' them.
Crouched low to the ground and still catching her breath, Lucina slowly looked up, brushing her now-free hair behind her ears as she turned her head and spotted the ranger.
...Wow... Her world seemed to melt around her as her eyes met those of a purple-shade. She swallowed hard, feeling her cheeks heating up.

Luckily for her, her own admiration was cut short by a very... unpredictable event.
There was a tap on Gunnar's shoulder, and just as he was looking around, his eyes hardly had time to widened as a black leather clad fist swung and struck him right in the face. There was a shout of pain as a hand reached up to cover the blossoming bruise, as green-blue eyes looked up at his assaulter in shock. Green glowing eyes were blazing down at him, as Kadaj hissed furiously, "Call me a freak again Almasy, and I swear you'll regret it."

"GAAH!!" Gunnar staggered back when he was hit hard in the face, instantly leaving a nasty looking bruise. Roxel's eyes widened, silently thanking the new boy for doing something he wish he had the balls for so many years ago. Even as the brunette hid his face, he was waiting for his older sister to avenge him somehow but as the moments passed, and she wasn't saying a thing, he looked over to her slightly, seeing that she was preoccupied with staring at the ranger. Looked like this was his own battle. "Whatever! Next time, pick some other guy to steal from. Sorry I'm not all hearts and rainbows over your recovery!"

He stepped back a bit, looking around at the shocked crowd. "Tch, fuck this and fuck all of you! I love my friends but their fur and scales are better off a little crumby than having to hang around you fucks." If his mother heard his mouth, he was sure he would be getting a package of soap down his mouth.
"Oi, what's your fucking problem, Almasy?" On the other hand, Bonnie wouldn't. If Terra and Ven were the people raising her as an infant, she was sure her first work would be 'fuck'.
A red beam shot out, revealing the Salamence they all knew pretty well now. "Come on, Luci... let's get out of here...." He turned, heading over to his dragon but again was surprised when she wasn't following, still just standing there, watching the ranger as he jumped down from the boulder, heading over to Namine and Sanyi to make sure they were alright.

As the boy approached, Namine giggled. "Aaaah! That was amazing! I never really saw a ranger in action! Especially not a Top Ranger! I'm Namine! I'm traveling around to get enough badges to become a Nurse Joy! Just think, we might be working together one day!" She smiled, about to reach her hand out to shake the other's, but was dragged away by Sanyi instead. "W-wha!"
The slightly shorter boy blinked, his head tilting slightly but turned, glancing at the ground to see a trampled ribbon in the dust. He leaned over and picked it up carefully, blowing away the debris that covered it before facing the group he had just saved.

Everyone was suddenly very quiet, seeing the ranger walk over, holding Lucina's ribbon like some delicate, important artifact. It wasn't that he was a top ranger, or that he had unnatural purple eyes. It was that fact that he had a LEGENDARY on his shoulder. The blonde stopped in front of Lucina and held out the ribbon and to the girl's surprise, a voice came into her head; one that was small but friendly.
"Here, you dropped this![/i]"[/color]

[Reno]

"Ah... my ribbon!" She said, not seeming too disturbed by the voice in her head as she smiled and took the simple piece of cloth. She looked up at the ranger with a gentle smile on her face and lent forward, leaning up and giving him a kiss on the cheek. "Thank you~"

Everyone else was staring with wide eyes. Somehow, Roxanne felt the most disturbed - since when did Luci like... ANYONE?
"Ah..." Tensai shared a look around, seeing even Gunnar had halted for the moment in his plans for escape. "Yes... truly thanks. You really saved us... again."
"Hmph, we had it under control," Roxanne was grumbling, crossing her arms.
"Yeah, if we were planning on being trampled." Tensai chastised, nudging her some, trying to urge her to be a bit grateful. This was the second time this guy had come out of nowhere and saved the day! Single-handedly, he might add. He, personally, thought it was pretty amazing.

"What's your name?" Lucina asked, practically batting her eyelashes at him. Ugh, it made Roxanne sick.

Was his sister.... love struck!? Gunnar couldn't believe his eyes, seeing a recap right in front of him, exactly how Sanyi acted when he saw Namine. Ok, a little less desperate but she was totally acting weird. Luckily, his focus on his sister's strange behavior clouded the pain in his face. Even the Salamence tilted him head some, looking down at the legendary who fit so perfectly on the human's shoulder. What was he doing there?

"Huh? Oh!" The little green hedgehog smiled. "How silly of me. I'm Shaymin!"
The whole group blinked for a moment, even the ranger began to blush even more. With a poke, the legendary looked up at the man he was grabbing a ride from, seeing him point to himself.
"OOOOOOOOOOOH!! Haha! Right! His name is Samael, but you can call him Sammy for short. He's a top ranger and I'm his assistant. Oh, and another thing: Sammy was born without vocal cords so he can't talk."
"Oh, how horrible!" Namine sympathized, not seeing the death glare the usual harmless Sanyi gave to the ranger.

"Tch, too bad that couldn't of happened to a few people I know." Gunnar grunted, getting some glares only to fuel his mind, remembering why Sal was out of his pokeball. "Now, if you excuse us, Luci and I are leaving." He announced, taking his sister's wrist but she still didn't budge. "Luci?"

[Reno]

"Now Gun," Luci said, not even facing her brother as she chastised him, "Don't be so rude. These two just saved our lives. We're in their debt. And an Almasy always repays their debts." She felt the hand on her wrist go a little lax - after all, these two weren't the only ones to repay.

She tore away gently, her hands clasping in front of her almost shyly. "I know it's not much, but how about lunch? My treat~" She ignored Bonnie's grumble of 'Oh sure now she has money.'

Tensai looked around nervously, seeing the mixed expressions all around. Kadaj, still glaring at Gunnar. Roxy, scoffing at the new pair. Sanyi, seething at Sammy.
Oh boy, not ANOTHER new person. Not that he wasn't grateful for the ranger's assistance. But... he had a feeling he knew exactly how this day was going to end especially with how Luci was reacting.
...Was it really so hard for people to be friendly?

"And how are we going to do that?" Roxy finally spoke up. "If you don't recall, have of our utensils got trampled. So unless this kid wants to travel with us to Oreburgh for a meal you're just wasting his time."

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
"Hehe, well, my stomach is kinda growling. Maybe we can help!"

Help. Sure, that exactly what Roxanne wanted. She complete forgot that rangers not only helped pokemon and people with the help of pokemon but they also finished any job that need to be done after a rescue, like helping with their trampled belongings.
"Huh... why is everyone acting so strange?" Roxel commented, oblivious about the fuming males and love stricken females. Both Lucina and Namine were hovering around the ranger while Sanyi and Gunnar glared at him with fire lit eyes. Gunnar was ignoring the continuous death glare from Kadaj while Luci and the ranger were doing the same with Roxanne.

This was just becoming one big mess.

Luckily...ok, it didn't get any better when they finally reached Oreburgh. Still, they all minded themselves when they entered the Oreburgh Mining Museum Restaurant. For being a city that was filled with oil slicked rough looking men and women, this restaurant was pretty classy. Of course, Bonnie knew it quiet well since her father Terra visited this place often enough. She remembered some lunches they would enjoy here. Due to her fame, they were able to get seats quickly for all of them and when the waiter asked if they would like a private room, she declined. Hopefully if they were in public, no one would have the balls to start something.

They were still seated in the back, away from the crowd. Another thing she enjoyed about this restaurant was that it was Pokemon friendly and allowed one pokemon from each person to have a meal for free. They were given a little side table to sit at for those who could fit.
"Torchic..." Melody looked at the food before digging in, getting crumbs all over the place. Shaymin next to her was chowing down as well, enjoying the flavor. "Mmmmmnomnom~~~"
"Rio~~" The little pup was smiling as he popped some poffins into his mouth, chewing them with delight.

At least someone was getting along.
The table where the humans were eating was silent, again, the tension so think someone could cut a knife through it. Gunnar's face wasn't looking any better, actually looking worse than before now that it was getting swollen. Kadaj sure could punch hard.
"Ok." Namine, as always, broke the silence, cutting up her greens. "I think we have the same question here... where did you get your shaymin?"
The blonde looked up, their eyes meeting for a moment until he shrugged.
Right... he couldn't talk...

[Reno]

Little mousy paws reached out, the tinier-than average Rattata glad for the meal. It sure beat stealing stuff out of the pantry! In fact, he was lucky to have his master, who had saved him from a cruel Meowth's claws right in their very own home.
Plate already clean, a tail was sweeping over the glass, creating a design in orange paint, unnoticed by his own trainer who might of scolded him if he had caught him.
Charlotte was watching her own trainer, mimicking her movements exactly as she ate.
"Spina~ Spina, spina." Came happily little calls, as the Pokemon ate the free meal, his trainer glancing at him from the corner of his eye every once and awhile.

Ah, that's right... we've never had a full meal before, have we Loz? Kadaj thought to himself, smiling faintly before going back to his own meal and the conversation around him.
"I think the better question is..." Tensai corrected with a gentle smile, "Is why Shaymin is with Sammy." He glanced down at the green, hedgehog-like creature. "I have a question for you actually. Are you... the same Shaymin my parents had known? There names are Sora and Riku. They said on their travels they had run into a Shaymin during the floods who was protecting the last of the Gracidea flowers."

[Rikugurl]

"Nnnnnnmmnnnmmmmnaaa....ahhh~" The little creature chewed up the last of his food before swallowing, it's green eyes looking up at everyone.
"No way! I wish I could boast about being the Shaymin that saved the flowers but I can't. He actually saved my flower."
"Your flower?" Roxel questioned, not really knowing anything about Shaymin.
"Mhmm. Shaymin are born when a Gracidea flower has an extra petal. That shaymin saved us all. He actually raised me along with Giratina."
"GIRATINA!?"
This time is was Gunnar and Sanyi who were pulled into the conversation, knowing about the great dragon ghost.

"Yep! So happens, Sammy and his parents built a house near our field. His dad is a researcher, and retired archaeologist. His mom was a herb and medicine brewer, and she also said she had some psychic knowledge. Sammy use to come out and play with us every one in awhile and he was just grateful to have friends because no one lived even close to their solitude house. Also the fact that he couldn't talk, we had something in common...ish." The legendary and master looked at each other, sharing a fond grin.
"I didn't want him to go when he left out to become a ranger, so I went with him to be his assistant. Being a, what you call legend, though I am very small, can get some pokemon motivated. Obtaining friendship is very easy for us."

Before Roxy could even THINK about starting a fight, she wrapped her darker fingers around her girlfriend's hand, squeezing it tight.

[Reno]

"Woow..." Now Tensai looked starstruck! Was everyone going to fall in love with Sammy?! "That's an amazing story." How many people could say that their first Pokemon was a legendary?

And he realized how much of an ironic coincidence this all was too. Had their parents not of gone into that forest to help Shaymin, this little one might not of been here right now to have saved them. Life was so... fragile. The littlest of actions could go so far. "Well, I'm really glad for that, if it wasn't for you and Sammy back there... things could of gotten a bit ugly." He glanced between the two, "You guys must be incredibly close, huh? You sort of speak for him, huh?" The little Shaymin confirmed this. "Wow, that is so cool!"

He smiled to Sammy, noticing how shy he suddenly seemed - though part of it might be due to to fact that Lucina was gazing at him like he was the most important thing in the world.

Dinner was finished not to long after, everyone thanking Lucina for her treat. Together, the large group of now ten headed out of the city and out into the fields around it. They could see the smoke coming from the chimneys in the distance, while checking their things to see just what they had lost in the stampede. Even if it was quite a few things, they at least got out of it with their life, much thanks to Samael. Speaking of which, the ranger had stepped aside for a moment but came back to the camp, where a nice warm fire was awaiting him. Quite a few members of the group, especially those who could stand each other, were getting ready for their big day tomorrow.

The purple eyed boy spotted the flame haired boy already nestled in his sleeping bag, his arms wrapped around a torchic while a growlithe laid against his flank, probably to keep him warm. Sanyi too was in his sleeping bag, faced away with a shadow over him while Namine sat at his flank, sharing some words with Lucina. Kadaj was there too, trying to get use to his new sleeping bag. Actually, everyone was around the camp except for the brunette, the one named Gunnar.
"Where's Gunnar?" The little hedgehog asked with a yawn, knowing Sammy's worries.
"Oh, he went to the river to put something cold on his face." Namine informed. "You look pretty tired, Shaymin, how would you like a message?"
"Oh, that would be lovely~"

Sammy walked over, slowly sitting down and allowing the Shaymin to jump off his shoulder, onto the lap of the nurse. As she began to rub his flowers, the blonde boy realized that he had just stepped into a trap because instantly, he was being stared at by both girls. A blush came across his face, wishing he had the voice to yelp for help!
"Hmmm..." Bonnie watched from afar, his fingers running through soft blonde hair as she brushed out Roxy's hair for the night. "Don't mind them. So, who are you choosing to fight tomorrow against Roark?"

While the group was cooling down after the full day, they all couldn't help but notice when the silverette stood, heading in the direction Gunnar did to find the river.

[Reno]

"Hmph," Roxy rolled her eyes at the two girl's display. Ugh, it was disgusting! She was glad she was into girls, because there was no way she'd ever swoon over some ugly guy! She smiled though when she heard Bonnie, and answered, "Sayen, Skye and Charlotte."

This surprised the other some. "I hate to say it, but Luci was right. I am at a pretty bad type disadvantage. But," This time she was cheerful, "With Skye, at least she'll be immune to any ground attacks, so that helps me a little." She winced a bit as a certain tangle pulled wrong, before starting a different conversation. "What about you Bon-Bon? Any upcoming contests? I wanna see you in action - and not through a television screen for once!"

It wasn't hard to find the stream. Like most trainers, they were smart enough to stay near to the water. It was not only because you never knew when you would need to stock up, but because if you happened to get lost, following the river will eventually find you to civilization.
Oh yeah, and Gunnar's piss, moan and groaning gave his position away.

The grass crunched underfoot some as the silverette emerged, his eyes adjusted quickly to the moonlit area, and he spied the brunette leaning over the water, as if inspecting his reflection, wincing as he touched the bruise.
"Don't worry, your face'll be pretty again in a few days." Came a scathing response.

[Rikugurl]

"Mmmm.... no. I actually canceled all my contests when I knew you and Xel were going to travel. I wanted to come along as your cheerleader." This was the first time Bonnie admitted this, making her girlfriend pause and look back at her. She'd do that.... just for her. "I didn't want to rush you guys, making you run all around the place for my contests. Maybe if they have a local one and we stick around a city or town for awhile, I might join, just so I don't get rusty." She smiled, feeling Roxy's warmth as she leaned into her, giving her a soft kiss. She didn't even notice that Tensai was looking their way. "Hmm~~ maybe you and I could battle one day. I'm not all that great with it but I can try, huh?"


Brunette hair shifted in the night air, the little hairs actually stinging his face when it brushed up against the bruise. He knew someone had come into the clearing and he was sure it was someone from the group, but he wasn't expecting that voice. "Tch..." Gunnar looked away, reached down and grabbing the bottom of his shirt, pulling it over his head carefully and dipped it in the cold water. With his bare flank exposed, the silverette could see the outline of a very large, old slash running across one shoulder blade, all the way down to beneath Gunnar's pant line. Sea green eyes rolled to catch Kadaj staring at the wound.

The brunette stood and faced the other, revealing a slightly scared up torso and a slender abdomen, the beginnings of a six pack forming. "Not easy capturing dragon pokemon~" He smirked slightly, wincing from the pain it caused.

[Reno]

"Not great? You're kidding me right?" Roxy pouted, tapping her on the nose, before smiling. "I bet you would have a good chance of kicking my butt actually~ Just because all those moves are for show, they're still battle moves, and it takes a lot of stamina for a Pokemon to build that kind of power. Not to mention the speed..." She giggled a little, leaning up and giving her girlfriend another kiss. "Your Pokemon are strong, trust me. I know, I watched your contests~"

Meanwhile, eyes scrutinized them carefully, watching as soft lips pressed against soft lips again in yet another sweet kiss.
"Ten-chan..." Came a needy whisper, legs straddling him as the boy descended, warm breath brushing his face as he came closer and closer-
Cheeks flamed and Tensai looked away, suddenly mollified with himself. He... He couldn't think those things! Not of Roxel! He was his best friend!


The silverette was surprised when Gunnar didn't automatically rise to his challenge, but blinked as the shirt was pulled off and - oh...
Well, he had to be grateful that Gunnar was scared of spiders when his wallet was snatched, or he would of probably broken in his skull with those muscles. He realized he was staring and tried to look away, when something caught his line of sight. A strange, oddly colored marking along his back. Before he knew it, he was caught.
Shimatta... He cursed, but blinked as the other turned around, showing him... more scars. But moreso then that, Gunnar was... tan. And well-built. And... had a very smug look on his face. He adverted his eyes, wondering what angle to other was playing at. Was he trying to scare him? Or just being prideful?
Maybe it was a bit of both. It irked him. A lot.
"And yet, despite you being the high and mighty trainer, I still got your wallet~" In retrospect, that wasn't really a cunning retort. But what could he say? He wasn't exactly what you'd call a 'people-person'.

"That sounds....exciting!" Bonnie actually smiled, liking the sound of battling Roxy. She was always so tough looking on stage, seeing her battle Gardenia was thrilling and hot! She was so confident and hardly lost her train of thought. Bonnie had never battled before, well, ok, she did once. When she was eight she brought her newly found buizel to her father's greenhouse and challenged a pidgy. Long story short, he water gunned the poor bird down, making her a victor. Only problem was, the rest of the little pidgy's flock didn't like their baby being KOed and they set off to attack her and her buizel. If it wasn't for Flygon and Moana, she could have been really hurt. Ever since then, after her scolding from both parents, she decided that she would never battle again.

"Maybe we can battle when you're done kicking Roark's ass."

"Grrrrrr~~~" A little purr came from behind Tensai, suddenly feeling a force against his elbow. It made the sunset eyed boy look back, seeing a happy, attention seeking growlithe. Jax was obviously not getting enough attention during their travels!


"Just cause I'm tough doesn't mean I have good ears." The smirk was whipped off his face almost instantly. Was stilling his wallet the only gain this kid had because if it was, that was pathetic.
He walked over to a nearby tree, making sure to distance himself from the other so if he tried that pretty little act again, this time, he could see it coming. "I'm gonna guess you didn't come down here to try and make me feel better about the nice piece you put on my face." He started, feeling the cold water run down from his shirt, across his arms and side. "I called you a freak because that's what you want me to believe you are."

Kadaj looked a little confused, making Gunnar chuckle. "Oh come on? Lab experiments? If you're going to be so testy, you should stop with the bogus lies. It's not like we were trying to steal your 'nii-san' away. I know what you really are."
He couldn't help smile, seeing Kadaj tense. "You have telekinesis. When I was a kid, my dad made sure my sis and I read up on gym-leaders to get us ready for our journey in the coming years. One gym leader, named Sabrina has psychic powers. Her eyes glowed when she talked to her pokemon telepathically. If figured if your eyes glowed all the time, your psychic ability was a little more general... not to mention that blown bold in the hotel."

He paused for a moment, thinking about something before locking eyes with the silverette again. "That's probably why you never got adopted. Everyone knows Sabrina turned her parents into dolls and being completely superstitious, they probably figured you could do the same thing, if not done so already since you were both orphans. Am I right?"
