Green eyes lowered as she nodded, knowing no voice was meant to be heard anymore. When had it turned to this? She knew once where people of the city could speak their questions and they would be heard. Now everything is so secret and everyday folk are treated as servants themselves to the high ranks.
At the question though, she smiled a blush before nodding. "A slab of mutton would be fine if you have some round. Your sauce is the best of the land and it always warms my core~" She spoke highly of his cooking, for a chubby man these days spoke of well eating habits.... or slothish ways of life. She knew it wasn't that latter for this servant.
At the voice, ears perked and a bloody snout rose in the air before vicious eyes glared at the new comer. Some skin of the vampir was hanging between his sharp teeth as he started to growl low in his throat. Heavy paws pushed against the body to keep it secure as he slowly turned to face the golden wolf. "Not a chance..." He growled, snarling to show his bloody teeth. "Stop being so lazy and pick a meal on your own! You haven't found something for yourself since you came."

"Anything for you mi'lady~" The man said with a bow and a kiss to her hand, obvious adoration in his tone before he hurried off to get her meal, seeming to float upon the floor with with joy. Luckily hardly anyone but Olette and Sora saw the silly display, or it would be the talk of the mansion by tomorrow. But Sora saw no use in gossip and did his best never to spread it.
Yet he had a feeling who the topic of tomorrow's words would be. As long as it did not find it's way to Master Evard's ears however it would be fine to let everyone know of his sibling. Servants were not allotted to live with family or it was a harsh punishment... luckily they were so different in voice, face, and color most would never guess anyways.
Ge hesitated at the sound of the growl, his tail going in-between his legs. He slowly lowered to his belly, whimpering some as he inched forward. "As you know I am learning... but I'm a much better messenger and it is trying work and you can not finish that whole bit by yourself." Months ago, he couldn't even stand the idea of eating another creature and he was still squeamish over killing one. All of his food he had scrounged from others, always getting the last of the pick because he was the youngest of the pack.
However, when he got close, he had to jump away quickly when teeth flashes and snapped at him. The gold wolf whimpered before laying upon the ground, his head on his paws as he watched the other eat.
Both their ears raised though when they heard a howl - the scent had been tracked once more. The yellow wolf sighed - last pickings again it seemed. The gray wolf hardily had time to clean his muzzle before more of the pack was upon them, a dangerous gold eyes of the gamma leader, his body large and strong and his fur glorious shades of brown and black, narrowed in on the catch. "What is this defiance?" He snarled, his snout scrunching as he showed his teeth. Astride him, was a grey-blue wolf with softer eyes - but at the sight she seemed surprised. "Sai? What are you doing?"

There was a mighty snap and growl, not caring if he ripped the other's snout right off. Luckily for the young wolf, he was eager to back off before the larger wolf slowly turned around and went back to scarfing his food. He knew that if he ate any faster, he would up heave it all and the point would be lost... but he wanted to eat as much as he could before he hear---
HOWL
That.
His ears perked as he pulled away from the open rib cage, his paws quickly going to clean his snout and licked off what he could before he felt eyes on him. Slowly his own golden amber eyes looked upward to see his sibling and the gamma of his pack. Uncontrollably, his tail pulled between his legs but he still stood over the vampir body. He glanced at the gamma before his sister. "I haven't eaten for days and my mind hurts more than ever to fight for food. Never had I gotten the chance of food for lazy dogs eat what is left." He snarled as he glared behind him at the golden wolf.
His gave moved back to his sister before he let out a huff. "I cannot afford to miss another meal and even if the dhampir did my job, it would still be a waste for lesser being to feast upon!"

The tall wolf waited for the answer that Sai quickly provided, and beside him in her feminine sympathy he felt his right hand swoon to his words. "Sai..." He jerked his head to look at her and growled. "Don't you dare." He looked up his eyes meeting the other's before he stepped forward. The rest of the pack hung back watching the exchange take place. Even Aqua.
"So, you believe that picking off dead meat from the dirty ground is any better then a lazy wolf taking what is left of the meat? You're no better then a hyena!" The wolf stated, his growl reverberating deep from his chest. "If you can not even overtake a pup with a bone, then you are no use to this pack at all." "Terra-" Aqua tried but was halted. "SILENCE!" He snapped before focusing back on the other wolf. "We have kept you around because we are a pack and injured or not we must continue to act as such. Unlike those bloodsuckers, being one is what keeps us stronger. But actions such as these will not be tolerated. Keeping the meat for your own gluttony is not a sin I will allow in this pack." He showed his teeth again, this time his eyes deadly.
"B-But..." The golden wolf stuttered, inching forward and braving to come near the furious gamma. "T-Terra he did little harm. Just a few bites is all. See? There's much left for all here." His nearness was his mistake. Fangs flashed and there was a wild yelp, unable to get away as Terra was twice as fast as Sai. Teeth clamped around his shoulder and bite hard and Demyx lept back, sharp canine sticking in like fish hooks and making them slice down his skin before they yanked free. He hurried as far away and as quickly as he could, his tail drawn in as he quickly laid on the ground, shaking and whimpering. "And what were you doing? You had not alerted us either, yet your presence was here? Hoping for a 'snack' as well?" Terra growled before licking his teeth before looking at Sai. "Both of you are despicable." He hunched down, about to charge the silver-blue wolf to the ground when a whisper came through their minds.
'What is occurring here?' The whole pack froze and in moments when two wolves came racing into the clearing they were all quick to distance themseleves from the meat, even Sai and Terra. The glorious black wolf, a head taller then them all - so large he could almost be a pony - with strong shoulders and a sharp gaze, took a look about the scene with a sweep of his eyes. "Speak!" Terra sat up from where he lay, and did so. "Sai here found this vampir carcass ridden down by a hunter. Instead of rising the cry for the rest of us, he was hoarding it for himself, already having chewed into it's ribs as you see. Demyx trailed upon him and too did not bark a word possibly hoping for a share all his own." "I see..." The dog's father said, before he walked over looking down at the meat, before turning his gaze on Sai. He walked over to him and his jaws closed powerfully around his scruff. With a great amount of force he lifted the other right off the ground and tossed him into a tree watching him fall in a heap. Shaking and in pain - but alive.
"If I hear another treason such as this, I will personally close my jaws around your throat. Learn your place or leave and hope you can survive both us and the vampir." He looked to the shaking golden wolf and huffed, seeing he had already gotten a good slash on his shoulder. At his mere gaze Demyx trembled more. "As better you, young one. Do not fall to the whims of the wicked or you will meet a similar fate. As further punishment, you both are going without any further supper tonight. If I see you sneak even a morsel, I will make sure you will not rise in the morning." The leader warned, before turning this time to stare down his son. "Hold your temper Terra. Do not be so quick to take down our numbers. Free killing is something we can not afford, if we are to keep our hold on our territory strong from our enemies." The boy said little more then a whimper and a nod.
"Very well." Hatori said and walked over to the meat before indicating to his mate. She came over and together they came and ate their fill. When finished they moved away only for terra and Aqua to do the same. After that, the rest of the wolves freely ate what was left, ignoring the hungry gaze of the little golden pup or the famished sighs of Sai. Once it was done, many became to travel back to the clearing, Demyx keeping a fair distance from the rest, his head lowered in shame as he limped along.

The gray wolf huffed as the gamma came close, showing no fear... or what they would call respect as he stared back down at him. He was almost the same size as the younger and felt no need to buckle his legs for he was once an elder too. His sister would keep her mouth but he didn't respect her for that. They were turned by the same wolf... and he still held his pride. It was one thing to stay as a pack so they could rule this woods and hopefully the city and manors but it was another to make silly rules on how one should eat.
He was ready to stand his ground as Terra was about to attack but they all paused and quickly moved as two larger wolves came into view, both black but with different eyes.
Saix watched and listened as the alpha spoke before being effortlessly thrown into a nearby tree. With a hard blow, he slid down the bark and onto the ground, his golden eyes closing as he heard the sounds of bones break and flesh ripped by the others. This were not what they once were...
When the pack left, Saix opened his eyes and peered at the vampir that was now nothing but flesh and bones. Not one piece of meat was on it's bones... Still, he walked over, sniffing the remains before he started to clean his face again. At least he got enough for now. However, he paused and so did the golden wolf as they heard a chuckle from above, both looking up to see another wolf with peculiar markings of black and silver.
"They say you're not better than a scavenger when all they do is fight over raw meat like vicious mutts!"

The pup of the group tilted his head skyward as he heard the new wolf. He stood still carefully, keeping one paw completely off the ground. "Do not speak as such. Your tongue is vicious for little reason." He heard the other snort, but Demyx looked up, his ears perking some as he spoke his thoughts. "Times are rough as I've heard. Their are disparity and worry over the movements and increasing strength of the vampir which creates chaos among them. I have seen it before. Though they are estranged from humans, the story is no different."
He turned his head and mumbled, "And the only solution I see is to keep peace among each other. what good, what advancements can you make, fighting amongst each other or others? It leads only to suffering and death."

"As if." The older wolf laughed as he jumped down some branches to the forest floor and shook out some mud and dirt from his fur. "It's easy to see that you're new. You don't need to be treated like rats for things to be good amongst you. You were human once, had a mind of your own. If you're hungry, you eat." He spoke before he looked over at the gray wolf.
"Be gone, Xigbar. You have been banished from the pack and lucky to even have your skin." Saix growled as he walked away, now side by side with the golden wolf. "I'd rather be dead than live as some mutt. I am to be feared, not fear others over needs of survival. It's not hard out thereon your own, the life is better!" The one eyed wolf called as the others continued to walk away.
It was morn when the sun rose and the forest settled, the rays of light shining through the trees. There was some alarm out at the Quinsin Manor as a servant had gone missing during the night. Men went out, searching the fields and forest in looks of the white boy with blonde hair but all was gone empty. Not even the hounds could pick up the trace, having gone so far into the woods but had been disturbed by manic horse hooves.
Even the scent of the large working horse was lost at top of a hill were some blood still stained the grass in the field below. Other calls were from the city, seeing yet another vampir head on the city's gates. It was the fifteenth this month that had been slain thanks to the hunter. With the number, those who were thinking of moving to another city started to pack their bags to leave early.
This place had become too dangerous.
In the Evard's manor was up early for things needed to be done. Only two lazy figures still slept under the warmth of the cellar boards as the other two that had accompanied them the night before were gone, getting breakfast served.

In the warm rays of dawn, a young man wandered his way to a nearby stream, tugging off his shirt with such care and favoring his arm so apparently, it was easy to see it hurt him. With the shirt gone, the puncture wounds were easy to spot as he washed away the blood. It was very similar to the ones he had, hidden underneath his slacks, circling the lower thigh and having scarred. The bite that changed him.
They never ate humans, Demyx had learned. They changed them but they did not eat them or kill them - unless absolutely necessary. Instead they stole their livestock, ripped apart their dead and most of all hunted the vampires. He found it all... very odd.
Once the blood was washed away he sat, crossed-legged as he hummed and took some rattling items from his pocket. when he opened them it was easy to see they were beads. He continued his hum, stringing the beads into his hair with care. He had been a gypsy... now he was a werewolf. His change in career unfortunately did not change the amount of meat he was given.
At least they tried to sleep. On the bed, Roxas' brows were pinched as he tossed among the sheet, his brow wet with sweat and slight fever. "Mmm.... no...." "BURN THE WITCH!!" Were the screams from outside, his mother crying loudly but it was as if everyone had gone deaf and could not here. Hands grabbing him, lifting him - "If you both want to stay with Roxas, you better come along!" Away, they fleed. Faster and faster, the sound of bullets and shouts behind him, chasing them like demons from hell. His brothers struggled to keep up. They were hidden behind a canvas, taken away, the rocky floor making them bounce. BAM. The brave soldier fell.
"NO!" The blonde shouted, rising from his bed and panting some, sweat falling from his face. His heart was racing a mile a minute and he gazed around the unfamiliar area, having no idea where he was. "Roxas!" Came a call, and his head turned seeing a brunette in the doorway, carrying a tray full of what must of been the leftovers of breakfast. He set it down on a barrel though and rushed over. "What ever is the matter? You're shouting like a demon is on your heels." He reached out, running his fingers carefully through blonde hair then frowned, feeling the warmth. An illness from the blow no doubt. Blood was stained in his hair. "Rest brother. I must clean and care for that scrap before it becomes deadly."

Some branches shifted as they were used as a bedding. The soft ferns were well to sleep on but it was no bed. The sleeping pits in the camp were much warmer than a cave but he didn't feel like being stared down for the rest of the night. Instead, he strayed about the blonde wolf until morning came when his eyes became heavy and he looked to rest.
It seemed the golden one didn't.
Blue eyes opened, looking thrown blue strands of hair as he glanced down at the river where a very naked, skinny fellow was washing up. Slowly he pushed the branches off him, revealing his own naked, pale skin before he walked down the bank on the other side. Crouching down, he put his hands in the water before cupping some and drinking. On his forearm was his own bite mark scar, showing where he had been bitten.
"GET OUT! GO!" A young boy called as he smashed the wolf with a broom, making it break from the strength of it. The little girl behind him screamed as she and her brother were pushed back... but he would defend her for as long as he took breath from this earth. The wolf suddenly jumped and the boy's instinct was to press his arm up, and powerful jaws pushed down, releasing the potent saliva that made the boy fall to his ground.
He only stayed conscience long enough to see his sister tackled as well, jaws going for her and---
Blue eyes flickered as he looked over at the blonde before frowning. "You humming brings me headaches..."
"Ahh!" The woman sleeping on the other side of the room awoke, having wrapped around in horse blankets. She sat up, her chest bare as she was when she was born but gave no thought as she looked over at the two brothers. He was starting to look fairly awful... She grabbed her shirt, pulling it over without mind of her corset before she walked over to the two, her hand reaching out and feeling his cheek as well. "A fever..." She spoke softly before looking up at Sora. "Maybe I had ought to left him back at his manor to get aid..."

"Or maybe," Demyx spoke curtly, still stringing up the beads, "It is your bad attitude that harms your mind." The man's head jerked to glare at him, and the blonde stared back, not cowed as easily as his thin frame seemed to imply to. He knew the motions of beign a wolf - how submissive one must be to one elder. But he also still remembered his convictions as a human. He held strongly to those.
He chuckled softly then, shaking his head, "You should take a gaze on your visage Sai. Have you never learned how to smile? To enjoy what life you do have?"
"NO!" Sora shouted, louder then he meant to because it startled Olette and made Roxas wince. He coughed in embarrassment. "Apologies. I meant no harm to it. Simply I would rather he here than there." "They would not care anyways. Less then for a sick horse." Roxas said before settling back on the bed, shuddering lightly. He looked up at Sora staring at him for a time then smiled. "Brother... this truly happened? You are here?" "Moreso... you are here." Sora corrected. "Now stay put. I will fetch water and bandages." He hurried from the room but paused at the threshold, pointing to the tray on the barrel. "Breakfast is here miss Olette. Pence will supply more if you still hunger!" Then he was gone quick as a rabbit. Roxas watched his sibling before smiling, looking up at Olette. "It appears I am even further in your debt."

The older man frowned as he looked away, not liking the younger's tongue. "If only it were that easy..." He said before he suddenly stood, a bit wobbly on his feet. His head... it was hurting so much more after that slam in the tree. A hand reached up, running over his old scar. "I don't know if I should be glad that my life is not to submit to a dog and having to share a rat with a whole pack." He turned, about to head back to his makeshift bed. "I'd rather be de---"
He paused before a sharp pain ran through his head and he suddenly fell backwards, into the river.
Green eyes blinked, looking at the food that Sora had left her before smiling. "I believe it that Pence wishes me fat as well." She chuckled before looking down at the blonde. "Well, you are handsome and I'm sure more so without a swollen head. A dinner, you owe me! One of fancy settings so I feel like a rich snob~" She teased before getting up and walking towards the tray. She picked it up and walked back, sitting down besides Roxas once more before the fork was pushed through some fluffy eggs. "Here, I'll feed you. Open wide!"

The blonde sighed as the other got up to leave shaking his head, hearing how dismal and sad his words were. He really never had been happy had he? He blinked when the other stopped mid-sentence and in the barest hints of his vision saw the flash of blue falling fast before-
SPLASH!
His head jerked... seeing the man had fallen into the river. "AI-YAH!" He cried before he was on his feet, the beads falling all around as he dove into the water, the rest coming untangled from his hair and floating downstream. He didn't notice, swimming quick towards the man before he reached him. It was only his life as a gypsy that taught him how to swim - needing to know how if in case a getaway by water is needed. His arms curled about him and dragged him from the water and onto the bank. He panted softly, shaking his head. "Sai?!"
"Uhhhhh...." He stuttered, his cheeks flushing at the idea of bringing the other out to eat. Well she was quite lovely... but he knew nothing of table manners and where would he find the money? He hardly had time to express this worry before she was back, placing food about his face. He did as he was told, eating the food she gave him.

The coldness of the water was all the blue hair man could feel as his mind escaped him, not being able to deal with the severe pain in his head any longer. He didn't care if his lungs were not suppose to fill with water, his meaning on this life no longer mattering. All he lived for after his parents had passed away was to protect his little sister... and now that she was in the best hands possible in their new situation, he no longer had the need to continue.
Though still having being won by that creep Xigbar didn't make him feel very well at keeping her too far.
But arms wrapped around him nonetheless and pulled him to the surface. He coughed violently, his head starting to pound more and more as water escaped his lips. Even the worried voice above him made his head throb and he was sure it would surly explode. Fingers twisted, his nails becoming sharp as some fur started to cover his body. "The...the PAIN!" He cried as he snarled, fangs slowly growing. He only became like this once a month... signifying that tonight would be a full moon. He was the only one in the pack that was not adjusted to their most powerful night but all he knew was that he wouldn't be attending the attack on Azazel Manor tonight.
Olette continued to feed the blonde until the plate was entirely gone. "At least your appetite is with you." She smiled as she ran her hand through his hair gently. Her green eyes met his blue, her soft smile seeming to ease his pain before they both jerked, hearing the door open as Sora returned with supplies of aid. "Ah, it seems as though I might be needing more food as your sibling deemed it delicious!" She chuckled before standing, slowly going to the door and glancing around to make sure no one was in the hall before quickly moving into the kitchen where some servants were placing empty trays on the counter and Pence was putting away the knifes.

Though he'd only been here a couple months, Demyx too had learned quickly of Saix's condition - mainly because he too had experienced it. Newborns always had trouble with the full moon, some even up to an entire year before they could handle it's ray without the burn heat of fury and feverish hate burning their guts. Demyx had only had to survive past two of them before he was under control. He amounted that to his personal nature.
But some, like Sai, never got better. And he do wondered if it was because of their nature.
The human whimpered some, wishing he could call for help. He knew little on what to do but he did know like this the other wasn't too much of a danger... but once night fell and they could turn he would be much harder to contain. "Saix... keep calm you are alright..." He soothed gently, carefully untangled his fingers from his hair to prevent further harm.
Luckily for Roxas, Sora could not tell the blush upon his face was not from fever as he came over, all happy smiles and kind words. "She is a pleasant lady, no?" He dipped a cloth in some warm water ringing it before pushing some blonde strands back and dapping at the graze. "'Suppose... ow!" "Sorry. So, where have you been all these years brother! Please tell me all." "Q-Q-ow!" "Well stop fussing!" "You sound like mom!" That made both boys pause, both their minds turning to the days long past. Happier times... so many things left unknown. Unsaid. Whatever happened to their father? Under what ground did they choose their mother to kill that night? And why did Gin save them but not her?
".... I've been at Quinsin manor." "But that is a-" Sora was already saying, well-knowledge of the many families around her from his prestigious masters. They never saw him when he eavesdropped, their eyes blind to his presence. When he remembered their words about the slaver who found enjoyment crippling his crop his lips pressed together, realizing why someone would want Roxas for such a place. Like his brother had concluded, he knew the time not spent and fortunes saved looked like gold to such a cruel man. "I am... terribly sorry. But I suppose there is favor in you living in an otherwise impossible situation." He started to bandage the other's head with care. "It was not too terrible. The living conditions were not favorable, we had little, and the nights were cold and dark. But we were not punished unless deserved." "But very harshly!" "I believe the whip is a harsh punishment as well." Roxas noted mysteriously but his eyes were on the other. "I spotted some marks upon you brother when you were dressing thus this morn..." "Oh, those long past." Sora brushed off with a smile. "I have not felt that rough leather for at least a year. I am still treated much better then you were." "Possibly so..."

Lips quivered as the pain continued to push through him, now being more than just his head. Claws flexed before slowly fading back to normal as so did his fangs. His fur started to melt away, leaving the pale flesh once more. Half gold and blue eyes opened slowly, looking up at the other who seemed so worried. Why would he care if he lived or died? He was once a gypsy, was he not? Those people never seemed to care much about other people's feelings except... they own kind.
Demyx hadn't changed. His 'own kind' were now the werewolves and he was watching out for them. Was it true that their personality didn't change because of what they were now? Though... Saix believed in peace when he was human and now all he was was a killing machine during the full moon. Hatori would put him and others who couldn't handle the strength of the moon to lead in attacks for they 'berserked' and were the most deadliest of them all.
He leaned against the blonde, sighing softly as his eyes grew heavy. "I do not wish to kill anymore...."
The day went by like any other, servants hard at work as their masters did their daily activities. Roxas was able to rest for most of the day but towards evening, he became restless. That was when Sora found some time to visit him once more, telling him that Ventus was planning on helping them escape. Of course, there might be a problem now: Horses usually carry a max of two people.
As the night came over like a blanket to the world, tucking those who lived on it in, the lanterns in the winery were all lit one more. However tonight, the door was not open to welcome any strangers of the night. It was a full moon and bad for any sort of travel. That was why the discussion in the warm room stocked with barrels was full of chatter.
"But we must leave tonight! The ship for France is leaving by dawn and it will be out only escape from these parts." The woman explained as her chubby admirer seemed to disagree with her idea. "We can't wait any longer, we might be killed before another chance! Sure France has seen better days and the revolts are strong but it's the perfect distraction to keep masters off their tail." She shoved another piece of potato into her mouth before sighing. "If you wish not to come, Pence, Roxas will ride with me but I warn you... if you fancy me so, you will never see me again once I am put across the channel."
