"Yes... yes its me!" The servant eagerly replied, and that was all they needed to know as they were wrapped in each other's arms. Sora cried, his shoulders shaking as he dotted little kisses in his brother's hair. It was such a relief to see him again! Healthy, happy and alive!
"W-We could of never know what we never saw!" Sora said in return, his voice shaking as a smile breaking out on his lips suddenly. "B-Bollocks! A few more years time we probably would not even noticed each other if we passed coat tails on the street!" He removed his own tears from his face, "It is so good to see you... my thoughts have strayed every day to you and Roxas... not even having the comfort of knowing if life still breathed through you. If only hounds could track scents they never knew, I would of sent a million after you!"
He reached out, brushing his fingers through Ven's hair. "Are you at ease, where you are? Do they treat you handsomely?"
He did not immediately hear a response and for a moment he believed it to be a trick of his damaged head. Maybe Raijin was right He needed to have his mind checked for it's sanity. He did not fancy the idea of living within a mental ward.
His eyes narrowed minutely though when something came from the shadows - the form of a lady. Or she would have been a lady, if she dress appropriately. A ruffian then. Her overly cheerful voice knocked little nails into his head, making his brain pound with ferocity, and he could not complain for the helping hand that helped him sit knowing any longer would of found him upon the floor anyways.
What surprised him next was... how kind the intruder seemed to be. his mind rolled a bit, trying to remember if perhaps she had come upon the carriage of new slaves, but he doubted he would of forgotten another of his own skin. "Mm... Thank you." H said as the fingers running along his scalp became to feel soothing. "I am in your debt mi'lady."

Ventus started to smile as well as his brother spoke, not thinking that he would every hear the song again. He was sure he wouldn't of remembered his eldest sibling now that he was speaking so proper, perhaps better than him, himself. He slowly closed his eyes as he felt the fingers through his hair, not having felt such a gentle touch since their mother put them to bed at night. "Indeed, they treat me fair. A holster, I am for the most part. Even if I work in the fields and stable all day, they gave me my own chambers and two meals a day. I suppose I cannot complain."
Slowly his eyes opened and he placed his hand on his brother's holding it lovingly. "And you? Do they fair you well? I see that they have improved your tongue and you seem to have some meat on your bones."
The woman applied more aloe to the man's face before tilting her head some, a few mismatched curls bouncing before she giggled. "Owe me you don't~ Just don't sound for I need some horseshoes and a saddle and yours seem fine for my Buckley! I need to get out of this county, too much weird things are going on as of late. More deaths unknown and people with fangs kill on sight! You should think about getting out yourself before you fall victim. They will get tired of city folk, you know?"

"I am pleased you remember." Sora said with a larger smile. "Yes, Sir Evard would not stand for my tongue. He told me to learn how to speak or never speak at all. As for my adobe... I suppose I can offer nothing less than gratitude as well. I am fed and clothed nicely, and as long as I follow the rules and never speak out of turn, there are no punishments."
He sighed wistfully, "But I would prefer so much more that we could put away our working clothes and be together once more..."
"Do what you must." Roxas said, knowing he'd keep his tongue silent for her if ever inquired. He had a rather wrathful disposition to his owners. How was it this strange was so much kinder to him then her? "However, I can not. I do not have the freedom... or capability of that choice." He sighed, running a hand along his right hip where the bone was displaced. When he was in his youth, he was able to jog short distances but over the years the tissue had worn away, often causing him a great deal of pain. Walking was a chore, running an impossibility.

The blonde servant smiled, hearing that his elder brother was being well treated also. At least his mind could rest on one of his siblings, knowing he was alive and well... but still in the same situation as him. He should be blessed to have some more freedom. No one bothered him as long as he did what he was told and he could venture around the manor's property all day long without a care, training and speaking to the horses. He would curry them and file their hooves neatly, trim their tails and manes alone with keeping them warm in the cold months.
He could have it much worse, he knew it. But still, now that his dream of mapmaker was as far as birds fly, his new dream was to become a lord with the Lady Xion. If Hayner was right though, if he were to be laughed upon, his backup dream would be to be the lord's coachman. Then at least he could see more of the world and perhaps find his missing brother; the one that mirrored him.
Pure blue eyes looked straight into the other's, a sense of calm and yet dreamy. Ventus could only continue smiling as he leaned into the touch more. "I agree, brother..." He came to attention however, pulling away from the brunette's touch as he heard the call of Sora's lord. The horse, was it ready? "Ah, quick, we must hurry and get Verrill ready for the lady!" He cried as he passed his brother and started to sooth the stallion as his brother pulled the saddle on and the reins. Ven quickly fitted the seat and double checked the straps before smiling back at Sora.
If they were to be able to even work together, he wouldn't mind his life as a servant so much.
A grin ran over the stranger's features as she heard that he wouldn't peep a word, knowing that it could be so since this land was furnished with that of dark skin and odd tongues. They were treated the harshest of all the servants of this county, so much that they aren't even called servants but slaves. Her grin seemed to turn upside down as she watched his hand run over his leg and she could instantly tell that this was a 'Gimp Farm'. She had heard about it in the city and thought it was horrible... but now she saw the truth that it was all real.
"My Buckley! Certainly he can carry the two of us! A large wagon horse he is and he can still run like any of those fancy ponies. You will certainly not last with a gimp in your leg and on a plantation so cruel. You'll get down to the bone with ideas that it would be better off killed than live another day if it hasn't shown it's head yet! I know there must be a reason for you to still live on in these quarters and I am betting it has nothing to do with this place."

The servant smiled, feeling graced at his luck. Nothing could compare to finding his brother again - except perhaps finding his other brother as well. But luck like this, he had found, comes about a lifetime so very rarely.
He straightened when he heard his master call and swallowed. "In just a moment, Sir!" He called but couldn't help a boyish glee as he and his brother got the horse ready in the glittering saddles and reins. It felt like times ago, when he and and his siblings would cause all sorts of mischief for their mother or father. He could feel that despite the space between them, they had not lost the bond they had shared.
He gripped the reins as they finished, walking alongside the horse with his brother at the other side. He spoke quietly, his voice carrying only to the horse and his brother. "Now that we know where we are, we can visit one another all the time. In the dead of the night... on errands for our employers. We can make up for time lost. Oh brother I have so many queries! So much I want to know!"
He fell quiet as they reached his Mistress and Master, carefully avoiding his eyes from her as he produced the horse. "Here you are Mistress Kairi." "Very well." She stated, and let him help her upon it.
Roxas rose his head, hearing her words. She was very intuitive. But even still... he was a slave. Reduced to the status of those with color for his faulty leg. He could never be anything else. "I can't I..." He started to say looking away... when the words of his mother reminded him of something important. "We are all faced with a series of great opportunities brilliantly disguised as impossible situations." Another quote. His mother had loved to read and always knew the wisest of words from the most varied of sources. He remembered that one... because it was the last thing she had said to his Father before he left on his journey. "...How swiftly can we leave?"

The blonde glanced over at his brother as they walked the fine horse from the stable. "As do I, Sora... as do I" As they came up to his brother's master, he noted the look on Sora's face as he spoke to the lady of the manor before producing a little grin. It seemed him and his brother had something in common already. They both had eyes for their master's daughter. She was indeed pretty and highly sophisticated. The way she looked at him as well seemed to be mutual. Did Sora have relations with her as well?
Ventus pet Verrill's snout as she climbed up onto his back, making him shift a bit, most likely not use to it. "Be a good boy, now." Ven whispered to the horse before petting his neck and pulling away. They all watched as the young woman went off to ride, the horse seeming elegant, yet strong and powerful as he was pushed into a run.
"We'll be gone away far before your master gets word!" She smiled as he heard the hope in the servant's voice. Even as a common thief, she knew that just leaving him to eventually die would be on her conscience for years more. It was hard to sleep with those sorts of thoughts in one's head! "Though, it is nearing night and it is no time for travel. Yet, I have a connection, a hiding place in Evard's manor where a friend of mine was able for hire at in the basement winery. We will stay there for the night, enough time to let you rest and for his master thinks he is above them all, he would not care to search for a stray slave or another."
The blonde seemed to have to think of it some before he finally agreed and he was quickly helped up. With a frown, the young woman found out that the servant had nothing to even pack but she supposed it would only benefit them in their journey. She was quite the thief so she knew that he would have nice things soon. She climbed out of the barn first, fitting the saddle that was now hers onto a large brown workhorse before getting on and having him stand by the open window.
Roxas seemed to get the idea before jumping down onto the horse and they were off to the north.

The master of Evard Manor crossed his arms, watching his daughter as she rode across the plains of their large estate. He didn't even pay any mind to the servants behind him or how one of them - his own, seemed to have a lovestruck gaze on his face as he watched the mistress ride freely, fresh crimson trailing after her.
Sora smiled then glanced at his brother who had an eyebrow risen and was smiling in quirky way to him. His cheeks flushed and he focused on the ground instead. It was not how it seemed! He wished to say, but it was. He liked her.
It was too bad he could not act upon it.
"Agreed," Roxas said, quickly getting to his feet and showing her where she could find the items she sought. In the back of his mind he wondered about Raijin and Mikoto and the other slaves he had tentatively befriended. Could he ask Olette to bring them to safety as well...?
No. It was one thing to steal out a refugee of his color... another to help those of slave nation. Even if they got them away, nothing could hide who they were. They would merely end up the same somewhere else.
He sighed but followed the thief's example, quickly jumping on the horse (though from the roof as he didn't have the capability of actually mounting one) and with a snap of the reigns, they were off.

Of course, all good things had to end. The lady Kairi was finished with her riding after some time and returned with the handsome stallion. She praised the Singh's hostler on his training skills as she dismounted from Verrill. She even invited them to have dinner in which her father disapproved but no thanks to Hayner that their excuse to leave was better. It was almost night, the last of the sun showing its head and they were needed back at the house before the count arrived.
As Ventus mounted his horse, Sora helped steady him. The horse was well trained, not needing to be steadied at all but it was their last chance to speak. "Morrow will be another day and I'm unsure if I be free of my servant duties at last... but if it's not meant to be, I will come for you at night. Verrill can outrun any redcoat or bounty man." He reached down, rubbing his fingers through the brown hair before giving his brother one last smile... before he was off after Hayner. As he rode, he couldn't help but look back at the Evard's manor, seeing the lamps lighting the windows.
How he wished that he could live in such a place with no one by his brothers... and perhaps the women they loved.
When he and Hayner arrived back at their own prison, the manor was lite up as well, though the barn was dark for he wasn't inside. It worried him, knowing that the light scared away creatures of the night. He was able to convince Hayner to accompany him inside as they put their horses way. Luckily, no stray beast found their way inside but there would of been no excuse if one had.
He waited in front of the stable, his powdered wig atop his head. It wasn't long before an unfamiliar carriage came up the road. The guards stopped it and inspected it before it reached the stable. Hayner and a few other servants walked to the carriage as it stopped at the front door and a handsome man was escorted from it to the inside of the house. His coachman followed and he knew it was his turn to take care of the rest. He walked to the two white horses that were over decorated and brought them into the stable with the others.
If he didn't care so much for the animal, he would of made them irritated... but it would give the count an excuse to stay longer. Not long after he got the horses a stable, he heard the hooves of others coming down the road before quickly going outside to see his master and daughter return. They were in such a rush that both her out of the carriage by the time he came up to bring the horses in. A frown fan over the blonde's features as he watched Xion disappear inside so quickly...
The room was lit dimly with only one lantern as a woman sat by a large bay window that looked out over the Singh property. She was wearing an elegant black dress that contrasted her slightly pale skin as her short haircut shaped her face. A book was open in her lap bit it was easy to tell she was distracted as she looked out the window many times. It wasn't til she heard the sound of something unlocking for her to look back at the book... and a large tapestry hung on the wall started to shift before the blonde hostler appeared from behind it.
There was a secret door behind it that was hidden thanks to the woman in the room that led down to the stables. It was originally meant for an emergency escape but most were now sealed... except this one. Ventus slowly approached her before standing close, glancing down at the book. Unlike his brother, he was taught to read and was even taught French. It was because his master wished to have intelligent servants to show off to others. "There is no ring on your fingers..." He spoke softly, some hope carrying through it. Had she really declined?
But he was unsure when she didn't look at him but turned a page instead. "He was foolish enough not to bring it." She spoke, a bit annoyed. "Ah, foolish indeed! I would never think of such a lame excu---" "No one asked you want you thought and you have no right to judge count at your status." Ventus's eyes widened as he looked down at her. "M-my apologies..."
They fell in silence for a few long minutes before the book was closed and the woman let out a sigh. "I accepted his request." Ventus shifted, moving backwards as he was stunned. "You... you will be marrying him?" "Yes. And I will be moving to his estate once the ceremony is done." "But... Lady Xion...." Slowly, cold blue eyes turned to look up at him, her black eyebrow rising. "Yes?" "I... I thought you had spoken that I was the only man for you."
And that was when he could hear Hayner's laugh... as Xion herself started to laugh. "Hahahahahahahahahahaha! You really thunk that I would leave my life of royalty to betray everyone into having a wedding with a servant!? I thought you had a better mind than that. Now with a husband, I no longer have to dirty my dresses with hay to get any attention." She continued to chuckle, not knowing that every laugh she spewed from her vicious lips made a crack in the blonde's heart. "Though I did put in a good word for you to my father. He will think about making you his master groom."
Master groom!? He was already the master groom for there were no other hostlers on the plantation!
"Yes, you are right... I was foolish. Congratulations on your proposal, my lady. Good night." He bowed before turning, heading back under the tapestry and closing it behind him. He walked down the narrow, dark stairs to end up in a stable that belonged to Verrill. As he came around the horse, he leaned into him, gently petting him... as he started to cry.
The only thing women were fair at... were breaking men's hearts.
The sound of heavy hooves hitting the ground filled the forest. It was dark and hard for one to really find their way through if it wasn't for moon that was almost full. The rider was quite happy that it wasn't completely full for she knew it would be a nightmare to get through. More of a nightmare than it already was. "I do believe we're lost..." She said softly as she pulled the reins a bit and the horse slowed. Green eyes looked around, frowning as she heard no sounds around them. No frogs, no owls... not even nocturnal creatures that were looking for food... at least... not the threatening ones.
As her riding mate started to speak, she placed her hand on his mouth before looking around. "Did you hear something?" Green eyes scanned the forest around them but still it was hard to make out something. Except for a sudden hiss behind them. The woman looked behind them before screaming and the reins were hit hard before a man jumped down upon them from a branch.
"BUCKLEY! AS FAST AS YOU CAN GO!" She cried as she felt the blonde male hug her body close as the horse picked up speed through the forest. It jumped over fallen logs and other bushes, making them duck out of the way from low branches. The woman glanced back seeing the man who was after them actually catch up and.... showed his fangs! "WATCH OUT!" She cried as he leaped onto the back of the horse but the blonde seemed to kick him off. Who was this man!?
"AAAAAAH!!" Glowing eyes suddenly stared her down, the man suddenly appearing in front of their path. The reins were pulled hard before the horse rose on his back feet and quickly turned a different direction. The heavy hooves beat upon the earth loudly once more as they were quickly chased. Those fangs... they looked like the indentations that were left on the dead in the city. "HELP! VAMPIR!" The woman cried as she felt her leg tugged but she kicked it away again.
But as soon as the attack had dawned upon them it was suddenly gone. Buckley was stopped and the two riders panted as they searched the forest. "Did... did that really happen?" The woman asked, her eyes wide and fearful. They were only stunned for a few minutes before something shocking suddenly happened. They heard sudden hooves down the road behind them, making them look back to see a beautiful black horse coming down the path. It was kicking up a lot of dust and forest bottom, making it easy to tell that this horse was coming towards them at a ridiculously high speed.
The woman was quick to steer Buckley out of the way and only moments later, the horse passed them. It held a rider that stayed close to it, a black cape flying behind him like wings as a tight black outfit clung to his body. The only thing that wasn't black that flashed by them... was the pale skin of the passenger... and the most beautiful silver hair the woman had ever seen. It was like liquid moon as it flowed behind him.
"HYA!" She called, making her passenger cry out as they rushed after the odd man and horse. They came upon a hill where they could see the figure reach behind his cape, pulling out a fine bow before reaching back in one of his two quivers. Both of them seemed to be confused as he pulled out not a bow but what seemed to be a long piece of wood. Green eyes glanced at where the weapon was pointed to see the figure of the vampir that had attack them, seeming to be running for his life across the plain.
But the stake was shot, flying down and amazingly impaled the creature below. Buckley was stopped at the top of the hill as the man and his horse rode down into the valley, seeing the vampir only run a bit longer before he started to wobble. As the pale figure grew closer to the flank of the creature, his bow was replaced with a sword that seemed to be steaming with heat. With one mighty swing, the head of the vampir went flying into the sky and was caught by the hair. The horse was quick to turn around as the creature's decapitated body fell on the ground.
Eyes only grew wider as the two passengers on Buckley realized that the horse and man had turned back towards them and was coming back in their direction... and fast. Buckley was frightened out of the way just as the man and horse passed without a sound... and disappeared behind them in the darkness of the woods.

Unlike his brother, Sora didn't have a very devastating night. He did as he always did - was prompt to dinner, act quickly and quietly, and did not move before those of the family were gone from the room, hurrying about with the other servants to carry the culinary back to the kitchen to be cleaned. Afterward, they all went to their quarters, having a strict bed time.
Most, exhausted from the days work, seemed to be in a race to reach their dreams first. But two servants were wide awake. One was the brunette, still full of anxiety with the knowledge his brother was a mere carriage drive away, possibly asleep as well? Thinking of him? Would he see him again tomorrow night? Whatever did he mean by his words? It seemed his sibling had plans... but he knew so little he had learned naught.
The other who was up was a chubbier servant - having snuck many extras from the kitchen since he worked there most often. His extra weight seemed to of never alarmed their master, though the Lady Evard had often complained they treated them too well. Unlike the Singh family, they showed their servants off with how well-kept they were. Everything these days was about status and reputation. Sora had thought it strange. What merit were fancy clothes and heavy plates? How was a man a fool for rushing an inferno of a house for his child compared to a fool who spent pounds for a travesty of art?
"What bothers you man? Did dinner not accustom you?" Sora teased ever so lightly to the other servant, but when he shared his gaze, the man's grin grew. "Ah, she is riding thus tonight?" Not a man or lass here did not know of the brown-haired female who visited in the depths of night. It was a secret well kept, all of them knowing the comfort of a silent mouth allied them if they would ever need that same courtesy in return. Sora simply thought it was endearing. He wished his relationship could be so daring and adventurous. Yet, the biggest adventure he had ever had with Mistress Kairi was helping her put on her shoes.
She did have very fair feet though...
"Yes." The other said quietly, his long hair tied up in a bandanna he only wore at night. It was not allowed during the day but he wore it dutifully each night, stating it was once his father's and it reminded him of a time his life was not quiet like this. "She said she would be upon our gates when the moon met the zenith." "But that was some time ago." Sora observed. "Yes... But you know a woman's direction." "As poor as a man's sense of dress."
Had they known what REALLY kept the thief so long, they would have cut the mocking straight. The blonde behind her was shaking, his breath coming in short gulps as if he were a starving beast eating his first dinner in a week. He shuddered as the man in nothing but the colors of the dark flighted past them and disappeared among the shadows, blending into them like he was one of them. Had that truly just occurred...?
He peeked over the woman's shoulder then hid behind her once more, his forehead upon her spine. Yes, it was true. The body still laid there without a mind to hold it up. "I-I-I believe we should stay clear of the trees..." He murmured with a shaking voice. She swallowed and wordlessly agreed leading Buckley about and in the only direction left to them.
After some time of a careful trot he was able to find his voice once more. "Was it accurate... what you said? Was that truly a Vampir? They can not truly be of this world can they? The blacks, they had talk of the Obayifo, but it was merely reduced to another fear of witches though these ones did steal the blood of victims."

Silence rang not much longer as the woods started to come back alive. It wasn't as frightening as it was silent. The hooting of owls passed their ears and when crossing water, the frogs would sing. She now knew that when all goes quiet... that she must keep her head. However, when she heard the voice of her passenger, she glanced back, her hands on the reins still tight with a sense of fear. "Ay... that was a vampir all right. I told you beast have appeared in the city and people die from bites on their neck. When they are found, they are pale as ever and their skin is shrunken to that of nothing."
That was when they emerged from the forest, coming out to a large plain where another manor stood on a hill, its gardens beautiful even in the night as lanterns showed their beauty. "That man you just saw was the city's vampir hunter. He is the son of Judge Ansem but I fear the only time you see him is during his hunts. He is very peculiar..." She suddenly pointed out, a lit place against the dark manor. It was an opened door, seeming to welcome the horseback riders.
When they came close, she jumped off the large horse before helping the blonde down.

Behind her the slave was silent, his eyes distant but full of fear. Was she telling no tale? Was it no lie that... these creatures of the night were of flesh? Could walk and breath and kill? Then... was it possible witches too were no fib? Was it conceivable that his mother had truly been - no! If she were, would he not too be...? He would notice such an outer-worldly thing, correct?
He hardly felt the rough ride out of the area, the world barely registering around him as it changed from the harsh shadows of the forest to the clean, lighted areas of a warm home. "He sounds like a vampir himself." What better way to hunt one then to be one? No creatures were crueler to each other then their own.
"Alas, I believe she has finally found the door." Spoke Sora, his eyelids low as weariness finally crept around him. Pence however did not feel this as he jumped to his feet to go meet his maiden. the brunette listened with one ear as he started to curl up for sleep. "Whoever is this?" He said a bit tersely. "This is... Oh! How foolish of me. We never properly met did we? I am Olette and this is Pence. And you?" "I suppose we did not do a proper introduction." Blue eyes snapped open, recognizing that voice - since he had heard it just a day's time ago. No it could not be! And it was not - it was fair better then that. "I am Roxas."
The covers fluttered through the air as they were thrown off and bare feet rushed over the cold floor to hesitate at the door - but this time he had little trouble recognizing this brother. It was like looking at a mirror of what he saw this noon. The hair, the eyes, the face - everything was the same. "Roxas!" He called, making everyone turn to gaze at him, his feet scraping on the dirt as he hurried over and without a pause brought the other into a hug. The blonde stood there, tense, in his arms. It took him a moment's time before he started to struggle. "What madness is this?!" "Oh brother! Don't you see who I am?!"
....Brother...? The blonde froze again before tilting his head to look at the other. He slowly reached out, pushed away the wild brown locks to get a better look at the man's eyes. Then finally... "...Sora? Can it ever be?!" A grin split the man's lips and he nodded, laughing. "Yes! It is truly I!" "I...I can hardly believe it!" Roxas said as he was brought closer, too shocked to even think of crying. Though he could feel that Sora was. "God has shown some love to me today... to see not one but two of my kin. I will be happy to die tomorrow just knowing you both have made it out alive." ...."Two?" The brunette pulled away and nodded. "Ventus... He was here. Taken in with the Singh family." "Ventus is... and you are... I feel a little faint." Roxas said putting his hand on his head, his body rocking a bit like a boat and he did indeed collapse, though he was lucky Sora was near to catch him. The day had been much on him - the blow to the head had made him hallucinate he supposed. Vampirs and hunters and his brothers... all of this some wild fancy of his dreams!

The brunette thief blinked her pretty green eyes as the servant revealed his name. It was odd, one she had never encountered before. Before she could properly speak her own name, another man she had seen many times came rushing out in some mad hurry. Brothers he said? How ironic and unexpected! Two brothers, being servants and only miles apart? It was like something one would read in a book, if she could read that is.
As the two seemed to catch up, she wrapped her arms around the larger servant with a smile. "Mmm, how is it that every time we meet, I always have a hunger?" An innocent giggle came from her lips before she gasped, pulling away to steady the slightly fainted blonde. "We've had quite the night. We should hurry inside and get him to rest~" She said as she ushered them all in, pulling Buckley inside with her as well. The winery was awfully cold so when the door was closed, she made sure he pulled spare blankets onto her horse.
She smiled as Pence walked over, helping her with the horse as Sora and Roxas found a place to lay. "Sorry for the late drive, you'd never know what appeared to us in the woods!" There was a pout on her face when the chubby servant's mouth went off about traveling at night in the forest. "Ay! But you didn't hear it yet! We've learned our lesson well, have we not, Roxas?" She asked, seeing that he was now resting. "We were late for a Vampir attacked us!"
The room seemed to become silent and a bit more cold as all eyes were on the pretty girl as she looked back at them. "B-but the hunter came just in time. Slayed it down, he did and disappeared into the night."

With stained cheeks, the servant helped the new-found brothers inside, Sora automatically leading him to his bed and murmuring gently, "You'll find peace here brother." From the look upon Roxas' eyes both servants could tell he was not fully on their plane at current. The swell on his head had a lot to do with that.
Sora did not hesitate to lay beside him though, keeping him warm though he made sure to listen to the talk Pence's fancy was saying. A disturbing bout of curious silence filled the area at the end of her tongue, most staring at her aghast. "....Is it true brother?" Sopra murmured finally, "You really encountered a vampir?"
"Mmm... With this bump on my head, there is no way to trust my words. This to me is all another flight of desperate dreams which will be dashed the moments I awake come morning to the sound of my master's bugle." Roxas said, "But if what happened was true and sure, then yes. We had a run with one of those filthy abominations and it nearly had us, if not for that hunter."

A tilt of the head made the only lady of the winery curious to hear the speculation. Of course, the had-been servant still thought it was all a dream. She knew the kick from the horse's legs had sent him over and he would most possibly be back to his own in the morning... but even as a thief, she had the God's word on her tongue and only lied when in the act of thiefing.
"I still find it curious that the Judge would have a son who runs the nightly hunt and sticks the heads of his victims on the post along the outer rims of the city. I suppose it is to warn those who decide to venture at night but it seems to be barbaric in some sense. A judge should have better taste in teaching his son of appropriate things." The woman spoke as she found a comfortable crate of wine next to the fireplace.
In the forest, a dark silver, appearing blue, wolf walked out into the clearing where the headless vampir laid. It's blood from the stake had attracted him to this spot like it had many others. He sniffed the ground, being cautious of the area as he came upon the body. When he was close enough, his jaws opened only to sink his fangs into the arm of the man before dragging the carcass off. He knew it that the hunter cut off the head to make sure the creature wouldn't come back to life bit it made it hard to fool his clan that he had hunted it down on his own.
He was needing some points in his pack to become reliable and noticed for ever since he was caught by a human and whipped well on the brow, he gained many headaches and it ruined his sense of hunt. Now the large wolf was subjected to being a scavenger.
At least his sibling had a better life for the most part. As long as she was safe, he would do what he had to, to survive.
He pulled the carcass into the darkness of the forest and behind a tree before chowing down on his dinner, hoping no one would come for a little while to claim some as their own.

"Olette, you know it is best not to question." Pence stated as he stroked the fire for her, wanting to insure her comfort. "We have no voices that can be heard, whether we approve or not. So it only worries you unnecessarily to wonder of it." He set way the stroker and sat beside her. "Are you famished? I can dine for you, whatever you may like!"
Sora shook his head and chuckled, wondering how much more obvious his fellow could be, but his attention was drawn when arms wrapped around him and brought him closer. "Even if this chance is nothing but a dream, I am happy to be with you again Sora." Roxas murmured his head cradled against his sibling's chest. "As am I Roxas. Sleep now, we will speak more in the morn." Sora said softly, running his fingers through blonde locks. If only he could send messenger birds - send word to Ven of there other brother being found as well. How lucky their fates suddenly were! If only he could, he knew Ven would be upon their door faster than a bolt met the ground.
Unfortunately for the wolf, his meal did not last long as just as he was drawn to the scent of the blood, so were others. And the quick-runner of a small division of the pack found him first. His fur was a brilliant blonde color, shining like the sun's rays their wolfen forms could not touch. He was a new-turned one of just a few months ago and was still learning the ropes of being a good wolf. Few of them had patience for his lazy, laid-back attitude and his head always seemed up in the sky rather then on the task at hand.
But he still knew the scent of blood when he sniffed it, and with a twist he turned and shot off into the forest at a different angle. It took him moments to cross the distance - only a few miles - before he burst into the small clearing finding another of the pack chomping away on some dead meat. His ears perked and he tilted his head in confusion. Was he not supposed to howl at the catch of meat?
"Are we allowed this?" He asked as he walked over, his tail wagging tentatively and lowering his head a little for a hopeful bite. He was rather starving.
