The man did not hear the warning either, knowing from the feel of the beast he was feeding from wouldn't have much left to give... and he needed every single drop.
The blonde vampir nodded as his sibling came and announced it would be best that they continued what they were originally out to do. They left in haste, leaving the man be before heading towards Addlestone Town. When they arrived, Sora showed his brother where to climb for the watchman of the gates could not see, jumping down quietly and making their way to a house he remembered visiting. Seeing the town himself made memories come back to his head, some good but mostly of that night that they were taken away from it. The town was dark, both due to the time of day it was and in atmosphere. How many innocent people had been burned here?
Sora led him to the house, which he remembered the way quite fine on his own, seeing that no candles were on to light it up. The two moved around the outside of the house silently as if they were but shadows until they came upon a window and looked in. Only to see an empty bed, only a mattress. "Ah, what happened to them? Are you sure they sleep here?" Ventus questioned just as Sora started to panic. As Ven watched, trying to think of a way to calm him, a breeze pushed by them---
"OUCH!" He cried before covering his mouth, glancing back to see a pail... attached to a string that was attached to a rain catcher. His eyebrow rose before taking in, glancing inside only to see a piece of paper at the bottom with a rock over it. "Ah, a letter." He pulled it out, glancing at it to see that of a woman's penmanship. He started to read it silently, his blue eyes widening as he did so.

He disliked leaving not because he thought the dhampir would cause trouble but he just wished to verify with his eyes he would be able to get back to his feet. Yet even Sora knew that was foolish as the moment the man could stand they could not guarantee he would not turn his burning sword on them, despite their assistance. So they fled, both of them having little trouble to get to their hometown as they had both greeted it since their time as the undead.
Sora had to show Ven little, yet even still he put on the show he was leading the way, trying to keep his eagerness down as they darted for a home well known to them though it was a shame it was not their own. However it was to his mind's greatest horror when he looked within... and found no one inside. "No... this can not be! What happened to them?" He gripped his hair, thinking of the possibilities. "Maybe someone stated they were stealing and they have been arrested! Or maybe from their sudden riches they were burned! Oh how could I not of thought of this?! Oh what a fool I am!"
He continued to rant and rave over his own misgivings when his brother called out in pain breaking him from his own mind. He was mostly unharmed but he gripped the pail Sora remembered hanging just last night, words still carved into it. When his brother informed him there was a letter the other came closer peering at it over his shoulder. He started to read it, though some words were difficult and the handwriting none too good. "What does it say?" He finally asked.

Ventus glanced at his brother, remembering then that he hadn't learned how read or at least not very well. "It says," He started as he began to read.
To my dearest Sora,
You must be startled that I knew it was you, I have seen you well. You have done a fine job hiding from me but still I can see you. In my dreams. I see you placing a watch in my mother's hand and a pale outside the window with various items. I do not know where you have found these items, nor why you hide from us. I would be every so pleased to see you once more to confirm that you have become a handsome fellow. For all these years, we believed it that you were dead. Do not fear, I have not told mother of my dreams but I know it must be true.
When you return, you will see our home empty. It was mothers decision that I would placed on the next carriage to Stagwood City this morn and that she would now be living in the safety of her friend's home along with her husband. She will be well taken care of so do not worry your head on it. As for myself, I have been able to purchase a flat and a new fine dress. It is pleasant to be wearing such nice clothes.
Most of all though, my dear admirer, I thank you with both my heart and soul. I feel selfish to ask you to come to me at my new address for you have nothing to hide and I will not judge you. Just to see your face again would be worth more pound than that in which we received from the shop. If your brothers are among you, they are certainly welcomed as well.
For now though, I must go for the candle is burning short and we haven't another.
This is goodbye, but hopefully not a long one.
Yours, Lilo Harding

Beside him his brother was respectfully silent as Ventus read line after line, each one seeming to reveal a new wonder in the brunette. They were so artfully written with a woman's touch and he smiled fondly over them. When his sibling read the last line he sighed in relief. "Oh bless my unbeating heart! What wonderful news! Though Stagwood... was that not Axel's hometown? Perhaps he can show us... um..." He trialed off.
The blonde beside him seemed to become like an angry peacock, Sora practically able to see how his hair fluffed up more with his anger at the sound of the man's name. He snatched the letter with haste before he could get the notion to destroy it in his anger. "Take a breath brother." He said lightly, placing a hand on his shoulder. "It is not Axel's fault he has charmed Roxas' heart or that our brother has become blinded by this."

Narrow eyes looked away as a growl came from his voice, no longer needing to be as silent as a barn mouse. When he heard his brother's concern, he frowned even more, realizing that he did not see the truth behind his anger. It was not the mention of Axel that made him so angry... but the fact that a girl from long last had feelings for his brother who she had hardly met. Now it was not just Roxas but Sora who had an admire her and he was sure by the sound of her letter that she was a sweet as the queen's tarts.
Would he lose another brother? If she were vampir as well, the answer would be true.
Where did this leave him? Sora would visit Lilo probably every night and Roxas would be entertained by the lord in such variable ways. Was he to sit on the stoop like the statues, watching as people moved on their with endless life? Perhaps... it was time for him to take to the city to see if he could entertain himself. Master Kuku had already told them that this life was not for all... that loneliness would drive one insane after awhile.
It was already happening to him.
"Forget it now. She did not leave a address so he may not even know the way." He glanced at the note that his brother still had in hand before glancing up into ones much like his. "Perhaps her scent is upon the letter?"

The brunette spikes of hair tilted before the elder sniffed at the page of parchment. "It was... doused in perfume." He said, his voice wistful and dreamy seeming to sway on the air as a silly smile spread on his face. Even he knew the spraying of a woman's perfume on a letter meant she fancied the man she writing it too quite much. "Never mind it, I will find her even if I have to search every house."
This time, unfortunately, Sora did not notice the look passing his brother's face as he walked past, sticking the letter in his breast pocket for safe keeping. "As it is for tonight I think we should head home. I was foolish losing all that blood so now I need to find a new catch in the forest before we return to bed."

The blonde nodded, as they left the house, knowing that his brother did lose a good amount. He paused though, glancing around the dark town. He remembered coming here with his mirror to torture and kill the man who had done the same to their mother, though it seemed that his curse still plagued this once beautiful, surreal town. He wondered if the flowers bloomed like they had when he was but a small boy. "Head off then, brother for I wish to get my own air before dawn. I shall meet you in bed when the time comes."
And he was gone, appearing by the wall before he proceeded to climb and hop over it. He made his way back to the forest but before entering, he looked behind him, seeing the lights from the city. He still had many hours and what good would come to moping in the forest. Another deadly encounter, he was sure.
It was not long before he appeared on the trail that led through the gates, stepping inside the city for the first time. To his shock, it was still rather busy for this time of night. Women were but ornaments on their brother's, husband's, father's or fellow friend's arms as they walked along the sidewalks. He wondered as he walked if Axel and Roxas were somewhere in this place. The luck of finding them wouldn't be impossible for there was no smell like another vampir. Luckily is was much more pleasant than...
He paused as he turned a corner, a smell hitting him hard as he tried not to concentrate too much on the sound of heartbeats. Slowly he looked around, trying to find the source when he found it... in the window of a building that seemed to make his eyes widen. Of all the places, why would a--- But of course. He did say he read the bible...
Hesitantly, the blonde started to walk towards the building, up it's stairs and through it's door. There was a sign by it reading: Welcome to Stagwood Library.

To his brother's suggestion he nodded, and Sora took his leave. His feet found him back to the forest within another half hour and he was quick to find his dinner - a poor, unsuspecting owl - and just as he was about to head home, a thought of fancy occurred to him.
He sniffed out his brother's trial, now an hour old, and followed it backwards to the spot in which they had helped the hunter, curious to see if the silver-haired man was still about. To little of his surprise, he found the forest clearing empty, all that was left behind was the horse, it's body stripped of the human-made ornaments and it had signs of being eaten upon further.
The brunette frowned, looking about as if he expected the man to be watching him from the trees or such. What was truly unexpected though was the rustling in the bushes and when he turned his head, it was in time to see a large creature leaping at him.
Had his mind of frozen like a deer who experiences sudden bright light, he would of died. But he did not, crouching down low before his palms planted in the dirt and he rolled. The heavy body of the animal hit the ground and slid, just as Sora landed in a crouch to face him - and the hiss died on his throat.
"You...?! I spared you!" He snarled at the wolf. "And what favor am I to do for you?" The other said in jest, as if he was being quite funny. "Shall I make you some pie?" "H...How vile of you!!" Sora said as he got to his feet and backed away. The wolf seemed to grin, following him. "Let me give you some wisdom little Vampir before you meet your demise. Every being in this world is selfish for that is the way to survive. They will do nothing for you, only for one's self!" And then he pounced. Sora tensed before leaping to the side in a blue of motion. The wolf yelped loudly as it collided not with him but the tree that had been behind the brunette before collapsing to the ground.
The brunette looked upon the unconscious wolf, frowning and spoke even though no one heard. "I think you are wrong... any creature can have a good heart." He turned and left quickly, heading home without delay this time.
Page after page was carefully turned after a long enough pause, blue eyes concentrating silently on the text before him. Every once and the while he would scoff or laugh, seeming to be quite enraptured by the book. Yet even though his concentration was very much stolen by the black letters, he did not miss the sound of the door opening and closing.
This would not normally disturb him for more then a moment... except the scent that came with it made the hairs on the back of his neck stand on end. His first though was to think the Vampir had come with the intention of finding his weekly meal, but as the steps came towards his direction he realized that can not be it for surely they recognized his scent as well. When they stopped a mere pace away from his table before hesitating, Terra spoke without looking up. "I surely hope you came to read, not to cause a riot."

The vampir frowned as he heard the other, his eyes narrowing some. "Have I ever started a riot with you? I do remember sitting fine on my own when someone else came to the attack." He slowly sat upon the chair that was right across from the tanner man, trying not to much to stare. "I must confess, you looked better without your clothing..." How forward was he! God, please do not judge. He supposed it was no worse than how this man grabbed his private area without any warning.
To change the subject as quick as it came, he looked upon the book that was in the wolf's hand. "The Castle of Otranto... is it a fair read?"

An eyebrow rose high in surprise at the other's bold statement, unable to come back with a retort before he was asked a new question. His eyes darted down to the book in his hand, shrugging his shoulders. "If you wish for my honest opinion I believe it to be... over-dramatic." He glanced at the other, trying to gauge his true interest as he spoke, "There is a lot of... useless death and unrealistic turmoil involved and the king of the castle is quite a selfish man. Of course most of the Gothic novels are as such."
He laid his hands across the pages and stared upon the other critically, "Do you actually have the fancy to read Ventus? Or were you simply asking to break away from that uncomfortable statement of yours? What was it - that I looked more appealing naked?" The man grinned a bit wickedly.

The way Terra spoke of the literature was interesting. It had a grade of intelligence and pure talent for criticism. He wondered if this man had truly been born as a lycan or if he was once fully human. If he were at one point human, it was much a waste to be turn into some beast if he had been so proper. Still, unknown to him was the true fact that this man was son to the alpha and beta of the pack in which this battle was raging against.
But before he could think more of it, he paused and frowned, looking away as some blood started to raise to his cheeks. "I... I suppose I would have more fancy to read if I had the vast amount of books or source to pick one up when I was still a servant. There is but a library in my new home so I am sure when I have the time, I can start reading more and maybe even perhaps teach my siblings the the root of where most knowledge comes from. And of course you look more appealing without clothing. It is but a natural beauty that sometimes can be captivating over any covering. Adam nor Eve wore clothing, did they not?"

"Hmmmmmm....." The brunette seemed to hum in contemplation, before he smiled - a sight the blonde had not yet seem so he seemed a bit taken aback. "Wait here." To his surprise and curiosity the brunette stood from the table before he headed down one of the many rows of books. He returned shortly, but this time with a text upon his hand.
He set it down in front of Ventus and nodded. "You should find out for yourself. I highly doubt the library in which you speak has this in its archive." He moved his hand off the cover revealing the golden lettered words: 'The Holy Bible'. He headed back to his chair, sitting down and taking upon his book again, speaking even as he flipped the page, "In fact I am sure the library has nothing but the tastes of its master. In a library there is no such bias. You can easily find something you would like to set your eyes upon here where there your choices might be more limited."

The blonde blinked as he watched the brunette leave the table, only to walk off. He sat there but a minute before the lycan was back, a book in his hand before it was placed before the vampir. Blue eyes widened as the script was revealed. He gasped some as the man sat down, his words ringing true in his mind. His eyes did not stray from the book though, almost being hypnotized by it as a memory came to his mind.
"Nnnngh! UGH! OOOOOH!!" A little boy struggled as he got upon a chair, leaning against the back of it so it would tip just right as his identical twin held it as stay as he could, his leg shaking some from the deformity. Little hands reached out towards something shiny that had been placed on display upon the mantel. Just as his fingers were close to touching it, a strong arm wrapped around his middle and pulled him from the chair before it fell, almost injuring both of them.
"AAaaaaahahahahaahaha!!" The boy giggled as he was pulled close to his father, snuggling close to him as his other wrapped his arms around one of his father's leg. "You two must be more careful. I do not wish to return home to you both broken and have to be put back together much like a puzzle." The man said softly as he gave both boys some sort of affection. "But fafa!" The little one started, "I wants da book ofum God!" He pouted, glancing back at what was a golden plated copy of 'The Holy Bible'."
The man, his eyes as blue as his sons, looked up to see the book in display before smiling. "Do not fret, my sons, you will receive your very own when you become of age."
He never got that chance.
Ventus slowly reached out, running his pads across the book before he suddenly and violently pulled away, some steam arising from his fingers and book as he hissed in pain. "Ah...." Slowly he looked down at the pads of his fingers, seeing them burned but a bit.

A hand reached out and caught the blonde Vampir's wrist, his arm being pulled across the table. Blue eyes studied the reddened fingers with curiosity in his eyes, watching the color slowly fade as the body healed itself quickly. "How curious... you really can not touch anything Holy." What a strange weakness... of course it was no more strange then his own on silver.
"Perhaps I should read it to you." The lycan suggested as he let him go, the idea utterly insane and strange. Who would ever believe two enemies would come together over the words of God?

"Haaah!" Ventus gasped as his wrist was pulled across the table, making his torso shift. But he only watched carefully as the brunette studied his hand... and dealt the horrible news. It was heartbreaking enough that he could not come close to a church so he could not confess and repent. Now, he could not even read nor touch the book that made him yearn it so. What could be next? He would wither away at any lines he heard from it? He doubt it for this lycan had recited something from it before.
Slowly his eyes left his hand that had healed from the burns before looking into the blue of the others. Was he really... offering a service to him. One so sincere and well Christian?
When his hand was released, he pulled it close and rubbed his wrist some as his eyes strayed to the bible in front of him. "I.... I would enjoy that greatly...."
