The Tale of Seven: Kidnapped Hope

[Reno]

Suicune looked up at the other as he turned away from him and sighed, knowing the bird was not listening to him. He was however, surprised, when the new voice came to them. He turned to face the new legend who had come to greet them... and was further surprised by who it was.

"Darkrai...?" The dog barked. What was this nightmare-inducing dark-type doing here? Of course... Alamos town was possibly having it's only troubles...

[Rikugurl]

"What are you doing here!?" The rainbow bird cried as his tired complexion seemed to change as his wings flared out.
"You do not own this mountain, I can go where I please. Alamos is now flooding thanks to you and your ridiculous ideal of how to find your child. Mind you, Ho-oh, I can give you and your followers the same nightmares I do to humans! Is that how you would like to be stopped?"

The bird growled, not liking the ton that this legendary had before opening his beak, a stream of energy soaring pass the dog but didn't get far as a ball of energy hit it back in return.
The two started at each other again before the large bird seemed to sigh in defeat. "Alright. I won't continue but I will not aid them either... It's is all up to Lugia and her followers now for I will only search from above."


Down below in the ocean, the breeze made silver stands shift in the moonlight. Aquamarine eyes looked out at the sea, the moon reflecting off them as he steered the boat easily. He decided to take night watch with Missy and Umbreon, snapping the birds to attention as well.

A soft sigh admitted from his pale lips as he looked down, wondering why the waters were so calm. Was it the calm before the storm...? He could only hope that they didn't run into any more legendaries... at least not ones that wanted to KILL them.

[Reno]

The water legendary watched the two as they conversed, but barked in alarm as the attacks started firing, backing up some. It ended in a stalemate... but to his utter confusion his master backed down.

Well gee, maybe he should of tried attacking him!


Socked feet carefully walked over the wooden floor of the deck, two large yellow shoes hanging by their shoestrings in the figure's hand. Hurrying behind him was another Pokemon running on all fours. He left them by the stairs before scaling them as quietly as possible, making a motion to the scurrying Pokemon beside him to stay quiet.

He scaled the stairs, looking up at the three - no four now - birds keeping watch. He waved to them before also motioning for them to be quiet before he turned on his heels, sneaking across the deck towards the bow off the ship where two Pokemon and one human were looking out to sea.

He walked as carefully as possible, trying not to make any sound - but he noticed Umbreon's ears perk up when a piece of wood creaked under him and even Missy looked back. He smiled and held his finger to his lips, motioning to the Pokemon at his side to move. The small Pokemon smiled before nodding, hurrying across the floor before she moved in front of the helm, catching Riku's attention. From the way he addressed her, confused and surprised, Sora knew he had been left unheard.

"Furrret!! Ret, ret!" Margret said, holding up a pokeball and waving it about urgently. It drew Riku's attention and he moved away from the helm and to the Furret, taking the Pokeball but when he did - to his surprise - the ball opened on it's own.

But it wasn't a Pokeball at all... it was a music box. A cute little tone played as a Mawile figure danced in circles, a pink structure twirled around her, meant to be a ribbon. There were lights in her stage, making a soft glow. The silverette watched it for a few moments before he noticed a piece of paper stuffed on the top edge of the music box's top and took it out, reading it in the glow of the toy.

I don't need to be beautiful for you to dance with me.
You don't need to be brave for me to stand by you.
I don't need to be smart for you to understand me.
You don't need to be strong for me to-"
The message cut off as the paper ran out of room and Riku turned it around, expecting the end of it to be there - but was shocked when the answer came from behind him.
"For me to love you."
Riku spun around and Sora was there, leaning against the helm and smiling. "Hey~ I missed you."

Riku continued to daydream... well... nightdream... or... whatever you'd like to call it. He chuckled, remembering something in his thought.

"RIKU!? RIKUUUUUUU!? WHERE ARE YOOOOOOOOU!?" A chipper brunette called as he looked around the tropical house, looking under and over everything as some Pokemon ran by him. "HEY! HAVE YOU GUYS SEEN RIKU!?" Sora called but they growled in a negative before running after each other again.

"Huh.." With a pout, the boy walked into the house, his big blue eyes widened as a man hunched over the sink... with a big blue bird on his head, her feathers completely engulfing his head.
"Riku!? What are you doing!?"
"Heh... my head is in the clouds.... now... get her off!"

However, he was brought back to reality when a pink little rodent started to wave a pokeball. "Whoa! Where did you come from, Margret?" He asked before reaching out, taking the pokeball and... his eyes widened when it popped open on it's own, a little tune playing he knew well. A small smile ran ran over his face before noticing a paper stuck to the mirror inside. "Hmmm?" He took it and started to read it... or well.... tried to... but it was cut short. He turned the paper over, seeing there were no words but... they came behind him.

He spun around to see Sora and his smile widened some. "I should of known... you sap~" He smiled as he held out his arm, letting Margret climb up it and wrapped around his neck as he walked to Sora. His free arm wrapped around his lover, bringing him close in the moonlight. Leaning over, his silver hair spilled around the brunette's cheeks, their lips coming close before---

there was a horrid sound out in the sea.

Riku pulled away, looking around the dark waters. "D-did you here that? What was that?" He questioned, the other pokemon looking around as well.

Down in the living chambers, each couple found themselves a room, as well as the couch had a blanket for where Sora was suppose to sleep. Roxas and Axel were given the larger of the beds because of Axel's height... and sleeping habit as Fuu and Aqua and Terra and Ven got the kids room.
In the rescuer's room though, the sound came to them as an echo underwater and... green eyes slid open.

It was odd, you couldn't wake Axel up for the world... but if he heard an odd noise from a pokemon, he was up.
Must of been the rescuer in him that made him so alert.
He shifted before hearing the call again.
"Lugia...?"

[Reno]

Sora grinned at the other's teasing words, not really minding them. He had been having trouble falling to sleep, not being used to Riku not at his side or maybe because he was worried about what was to come... either way he had decided to surprise his lonely lover. "You like me being a sap." He mumbled as the other came close, his eyes falling shut as those lips came soooo close...

And then snapped open as he heard the strange noise. "Ah... I don't know..." He answered his panicking fiance. He frowned, walking forward, placing his hands on the railing and narrowing his eyes as if it could help him see across the dark sea.
"R-Ret..." Margret whimpered, shaking against Riku's neck. Umbreon and Missy were looking every which way and the birds up on the mast were twittering nervously on their post.

"Mmmeeh..." Roxas groaned as his pillow shifted, making him stir into wakefulness. "Errgh... what is it...?" He asked thickly, his throat clogged with sleep. He shot up though when he heard the call echoed once more, the sound so familiar... "L...Lugia?" He looked towards Axel who was also sitting up, looking worried.

But if they could hear her... oh god... that meant she was only a few miles away!!


"HOW COULD YOU!! HE'S YOUR SON!!!" Came the furious cry across the ocean, the dragon-bird's powerful tail swinging into the colorful bird and throwing him back. "GET OUT OF MY SIGHT!"


Fingers grasped the railing uncertainly, hearing more cries echoing, louder and louder. Blue eyes looked all over, heart beating hard before he looked back towards the mast. "Star! Nim! Do you see anything?!?!"
The birds called a negative, but just as they were, the ship rocked as it hit a slightly more powerful wave.

Axel shut up not too late from Roxas, both looking at each other. The redhead had to agree, it was Lugia that they were hearing... and she was unnervingly close. If she was in their waters...
He grabbed his glasses and pulled them on before getting out of the bed, Roxas following as they rushed up to the deck. The blonde almost fell over the redhead as they moved up the stairs for a wave hit a bit hard on their right but they scrambled and made it up into the cool night.

"Sora! Riku! What's going on!?" Axel called as he rushed over, seeing how they seemed to be worried as well.
"We don't know... but we heard some cries from the west!" Riku called, pointing to where the sound of coming before seeing flashes of light. That... wasn't good.

"Roxas and I heard Lugia..." Axel swallowed as he looked towards the lights... but those didn't seem right either.
"I think we should wake the others..."
"Breee...."


"HEY!" The rainbow bird called as he was hit with his mate's mighty tail, being thrown off balance and almost landed in her waters if a flash of light didn't appear, Suicune catching his fall before he regained his flight. He swooped around the larger creature, eyes narrow. "Shaymin was right! Maybe this isn't the best way to find our son! How can we all help if only you can search underwater!?"

[Reno]

Sora looked back as he heard footsteps on the deck, seeing Roxas and Axel were both there. He was a little surprised Axel was up at all but set it aside when something caught the corner of his eye. Flashes... his eyes narrowed, knowing without a doubt he wasn't looking at any light house.

Those were attacks... there was a battle going on!!

He looked back as he heard Riku, his heart hammering in his chest. It was time. "I got it!" He called before running across deck and disappearing under deck in moments. He snatched up his shoes, hopping about as he shoved them back on his feet before he hurried towards the rooms. "GUYS GET UP! COME ON!!!"


"Master!!" Suicune called in panic as the bird fell for the waters, before his tails glowed blue and a wind whipped out under the fire phoenix, catching his fall. He rushed across the waters, watching his master fly around Lugia, but he was having trouble keeping up, the waves getting violent as Lugia's rage grew.

"Fool! How can you listen to them! They only wish to deceive us! I will do what I must to save him, whether you are with me or not!!" Lugia barked before opening his mouth, the orange beam of Aeroblast flying from her mouth for Ho-Oh.


Though it had only been a few minutes, the waves were already getting quite violent... as was the wind. "Everyone recall your Pokemon!!" Aqua ordered as she walked towards the helm and quickly seven beams of red lights lit up the darkness, four towards the mast were three birds were struggling for balance and three on deck. "Ven, Roxas, Terra, Axel - YES I mean you two - secure the sail lines! Sora, Fuu make sure everything and every last person and Pokemon is accounted for! Whoever has Demyx and Saix's water Pokemon you are in charge of calling them out if this ship goes down!! It's time to put this crazy plan in action."
"Aye aye!" Came Sora's call as he and Fuu went to do their job and four men, two of them more tentative then the others - hurried towards the back of the ship to pull the sail out and tight against its wooden bounds.
Aqua stepped up beside Riku, glancing at him from the corner of his eyes. "Now it's time to be scared."

[Rikugurl]

"MmmmmmmmmmmmmmNNNNNOOOOOO!" Ven whined as he was suddenly awakened, looking back at Sora who was looking in on them then was gone. He sighed and was about to roll back to sleep when his BED moved under him and got up. "Dammit!"

The women, however, were more cooperative. They quickly got their things together before rushing up onto deck to feel the waves becoming more and more violent every time it hit the boat.


The bird growled as his mate yelled, knowing that she was even more stubborn than him at times. "LUGIA!?" He called as she sent an attack at him but he had no choice but to counter it. His own beak opened and a ball of red heat formed before being shot out as he used Sacred Fire. When the energy collided, there was a huge explosion, making large waves in the ocean around them. Since it was dark and the water matched so well, Ho-oh didn't see a large wave come up to his side, and hit him dead on.

He cried out in pain before slamming into the waters, falling from the surface as he tried to swim out... but his feathers weren't made for swimming.
"LUGIAAAAAAA!"


Fuu swallowed as she reached for her belt, grabbing the extra two pokeballs and holding them tightly before they rushed around, checking to make sure every pokemon was accounted for... and it was a good thing they did for Zan was under the table. "Zan!" Fuu cried before reaching under, grunting as she pulled the hesitant pokemon from the back of the table and carried back on deck.
"Roxas!" He called, rushing up to the blonde so he could recall him.

Aquamarine eyes widened when he heard his 'captain', his mouth gaping some and almost started to hyperventilate.
That was, until the whole boat slammed violently into a wave... and then again, the waters pouring over everyone, drenching them from head to toe.

[Reno]

"NO! HO-OH!!!!" Suicune cried as he struggled across the waves as he had wind help him rush over the rising waters, oddly mimicking the ship only miles away. He was so focused on getting to his master and helping him out of the sea, he didn't see the blood red eyes watched from up above. Didn't noticed when her body twisted backwards, falling underwater.

In the darkness of the night, he definitely couldn't sea as her fins pulled up against her back and she corkscrewed, water swirling around her before she arched back up, flying out of the water, hitting Ho-Oh and himself and making them fly up through the air with a cry before they went crashing for the water below.

"LUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!" Cried the enraged mother another Aeroblast attack flying down towards the ocean. Suicune tried to fight it off with Aurora beam - but he was no match for her power and the attack came crashing down on them both.


Sora hurried through the rest of the rooms, making sure no other Pokemon were called out. He paused for a moment, finding Jolteon and Haunter in Terra and Ven's room, both of them looking confused and worried. "Jolt, Return!" He called and the yellow fox disappeared in a red light. The ghost started to complain, but the brunette was quick to cut him off "Haunter get to Ven, hurry!!" As the ghost disappeared for the walls Sora made another run through, yelling for anyone before heading for the stairs.

"This is the stupidest ever!!!" Roxas was calling as he called back Zan, Axel and him holding onto the ropes of the sail, Fuu helping them to keep it secure. He heard Ven call out in surprise and glanced over, seeing his ghost had surprised him. The blonde cursed about it and recalled him, before going back to his job.

That's when the waves came up.
"BRACE YOURSELVES!!" He heard Aqua yell and then water slammed into them, fingers immediately tightening on the ropes.
"Oh FUCK!" Roxas cursed violently as the torrent passed, hearing Axel coughing beside him before there was another, this one powerful enough to knock him down.

"SHIT!!!" Terra called as he slipped, hitting the wooden deck hard. Luckily a third wave didn't follow or he might of been tossed overboard. He coughed sitting up, scrambling about and finding Ven grasping onto the railing for dear life. Across on the edge, all three of them had fallen, and Axel's glasses had been flung off but Fuu was able to reach out and save them before they went skittering off deck. The spectacles were returned to the other and they all were quick to get a hold of the ropes again.

"AAAAH!!!" Sora cried as the ship rocked and flung him about, falling into the table, feeling it fall over as he crashed to the ground. A few cupboards were banged open, dishes smashing into the ground as other items were flung about. The brunette groaned some as he was tossed about again, hitting a wall, hearing the TV come loose and smash into the ground, the radio soon following. He had to get out of here before he was killed!!

His eyes opened as things calmed just a little and was about to rush for the stairs again when he saw something that made him pause. Ah... of course!!

"Holy fuck!" Aqua coughed, having been brought to her knees from the water alongside Riku. She coughed before getting back to her feet, grabbing onto the spinning wheel of the helm. She grunted, struggling to steady the ship. "Come on Riku get up!" The silverette shakily joined her, his muscles flexing as he helped her twist the wheel.

"Ugh, this is fucking nuts..." Terra started to shiver as the air grew colder looking around the ocean but a yell from somewhere towards his left made him look, seeing Sora coming up from the hull, lengths of cut rope swinging from his hands. He looked about before hurrying over to himself and Ven and without a word wrapped a coil of the rope around him. "W-What the fuck are you doing?!"
"Tying you both together!" Sora stated pulling the knots tightly and making Terra grunt before he started to do the same to Ven, "So when we fall overboard you'll have someone there to help you!" He tugged on the rope between them, making sure it was as secure as it could be, before nodding looking up at them like he wanted to say something but there was no time. He hurried away from them, tripping as another wave blasted the ship up into the air before it came smashing down onto the ocean and the others were almost yanked down again.

He shook his head before getting up, running across the deck to do the same to Roxas and Axel, then to himself and Fuujin.
"Axel, Sora, you glasses!" Roxas called, and without much hesitance, the two pairs were torn off the men's faces and stuffed into the things as securely as they could, no time to find the cases. It was done just in time as a much larger wave came crashing on deck and there were calls and cries and splutters as everyone hit the ground, six of them feeling the tugs of their new lifelines. But they held, and that was what was comforting.

Sora struggled to his feet, coughing out the salty sea water as he scrambled on the wet deck. "F-Fuu! I need you to come with me." He called, his vision blurred and finding himself near blind now with the looming darkness. In his hand was the last length of rope. "I-I still need to tie Riku and Aqua!"

[Rikugurl]

The king of the sky flailed under the water as he tried to emerge, only hearing the echoes of calling and then suddenly... AIR!
"HOOOOOOOOO!!" He cried out into the night as he was flung violently through the night sky with his follower... before falling back down to the watery grave.
Narrow eyes widened, looking up to see the fierce eyes of his mate and then... a ray of energy.

Ho-oh's beak opened one last time, shooting out Sacred fire again to counter attack Lugia as his one wing hit Suicune hard enough to send him far enough away... so he wouldn't be swallowed by the blast that pushed him under the waters again. This time however, he didn't struggle to get to the surface. Instead, he used the rest of his power to cast Safeguard around himself...
At least he could breath for awhile...


"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH---Nnnnnnnnnnnnnnah!" Ven cried as he held onto the ropes...and was swung all over. He would of thought it was fucking awesome... if it wasn't so life threatening! They needed to make this sort of thing a ride at a park!
His eyes widened though as he was suddenly tied up, Sora explaining what he was doing. "What!? I'll sink with this anchor!" He cried, only to see a hand coming down to smack him... before another wave hit. "UGH!!"

"RIGHT!" Axel called, grabbing his glasses and stuffing them in one of his secure pockets that held berries. At least he could clean them off! "Remind me to get contacts or super glue these frames onto my face!" Axel called as he gripped onto his rope but on the next wave, he was thrown onto his butt, feeling the rope tie tight around his mid section.

It was Fuu who nodded reluctantly when she heard Sora's cries and followed him the best she could across the ship. She slid here and there, grabbing onto anything she could as she followed the blind. Wait... that didn't seem right.
Another wave hit, making the boat rock worse than it had yet and crates started to go over, beams that were place on deck as spares flung off.

But that wasn't the only thing... or body that fell off the ship.
"EeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeegAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!" Riku cried as he gripped onto the helm tight but was thrown off by it's power. He hit the side of a railing hard, knocking the breath out of him before... it gave way from the force.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!" Riku screamed as he fell off the boat, hitting the water below hard. He was able to catch his breath before he went under though and he immediately would of been able to surface... if it wasn't for a crate falling into the water above him, hitting him hard... and knocking him out completely.

"RIKU!" Fuu cried as she saw the silverette went over board before grabbing a spare Pokeball. "GARY! PLEASE HELP!" She called as she pointed the ball towards the ocean as it popped open.

"OOOOOOOOH SHITWHATISTHAT!?" Ven called in horror as he looked out at the ocean where the waves were coming, seeing large dark scales cutting the tops and was headed.... straight for them!

[Reno]

Red eyes dimmed as his aurora beam was easily swallowed by the Aeroblast, knowing they were in trouble... and then he was hit?! "CUUUUNE!!!" The water dog called as the wing smack him in another direction and he went spiraling in the water in some random direction.

When he surfaced again, he no longer saw his master in the air or even on top of the water. Lugia gave another cry, flying in a circle, random torrents of water bursting up around her. But still Ho-Oh did not reappear. No... his master could not be taken down so easily!!
The dog carefully climbed atop the water, his legs shaking some with the effort and started to run across the waves that were getting stronger and stronger. He wished his brothers were here to help him calm Lugia's madness... or Celebi to whisk them away to another time...

The dog blew out and a white smokey cloud blew from his mouth, the Mist attack settling across the water and obscuring the darkness further so Lugia could no longer see him. At least... as long as she did not go underwater...

The dog panted hard before jumping and diving under water, swimming around in a valiant search for the fire-bird. He could not of just disappeared!

Luckily for Suicune, now that she could not longer see the ocean surface, she was fine with leaving things well enough alone. Her large wings flapped and she took off towards the east. Unfortunately... she was headed straight for one very unfortunate crew.


"Fuck you!!!" Terra yelled at the anchor comment. WAS HE CALLING HIM FAT... AGAIN?!!?! Where the hell did he even come across SLIGHTLY as fat?! Or even pudgy?!!?!

His thoughts were cut off by another wave and he settled for just holding on for dear life.

Though he was certain he probably SHOULDN'T be leading, Sora did know the general direction of which to go. But because he couldn't see, he didn't even see the wave as it smacked down upon him and nearly threw him into Fuujin. Even under the rush and roar of water though pressuring him down so he felt like a pancake on the deck...

He didn't miss Riku's scream.

Aqua grunted, her feet slipping out from under her, but somehow, by some level of fate or luck or shit maybe Arceus' grace! she managed to hold on.
Her first mate was not so lucky. She spluttered and coughed, looking about but could see no sign of the silverette. "RIKU!?" She yelled, hearing the called echoed by her wife... and Sora.

Hardly anyone else had time to react to the horrible occurrence, all of them focusing on something across the ocean... flying towards them... fast.
And Roxas recognized her instantly.
"IT'S LUGIA!!!!"

"RIIIIIIIIIKU!!!!" Sora yelled and even though he hadn't seen anything, he knew what had happened. He gripped the railing, looking out across the blackness, the lifeline slipping uselessly from his hand. He couldn't see any hint of silver at all. "RIKUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!"
N-No... R-Riku was a strong swimmer! He...He was going to be fine. He....
"Oh god..." Sora started to shake as he heard Gary being called the serpent giving a roar before he went under the water. Tears were falling from his eyes, indistinguishable with all the water already on his face. This... this was all his fault... if he hadn't of come up with this stupid plan!!
Before his mind could even play with the idea of untying himself and jumping in after his lover... he heard his brothers' cries.

Aqua heard it as well, her hair all in her face as she looked up, breathing hard from holding onto the wheel that refused to move the way she want it. But that seemed to fade away as unimportant... as she spotted the great white and blue beast across the sea. "Oh...god..." Her hands fell from the wheel, the boat becoming a victim of the sea as it started to turn the way the currents wanted too.
And then she saw a glimmer of orange coming from... her...mouth?
SHE HAD SPOTTED THEM!!!

"EVERYONE ABANDON SHIP!!!" Aqua screamed so loud her voice screeched and left her throat raw. Whether anyone had heard or listened to her or not she wasn't sure because suddenly the blast was coming for them and the little boat was about to be no more.

Meanwhile, underwater and mostly unaware of the horror up above was Gary, purple eyes searching everywhere for just a hint of the silver-haired man he remembered.

"Ooohh..." The large bird whimpered in his safety bubble. When it would dissolve, he didn't know... but he could only hope it wouldn't be soon. Then again, the further he went from the surface, the less chance he had to fly again. However, his eyes opened a bit when he felt something nudge his bubble... and then he stopped. "Hooo?" His head moved slightly to look down, seeing two claws holding onto the bubble safely but securely.

What...?

A claw moved away, pointing towards the east before a blue energy shot out for a minute or so before it ended and the claw was back on his safeguard. Slowly, the bird was pushed up towards the surface. The narrow eyes lidded though, not having the power to identify what was helping him... but some hope came to his heart when he saw a blue and purple blur come towards him from above.


The blue energy that was expelled before had reached another falling body, that of a human. The energy wrapped around him and blew up the crate that was making him venture down lower. The bubble around him started to shine like a coin, allowing any water creature looking for him easy to see.

As for the people still above the ocean, for now, they looked at death straight in the eye.
"EVERYONE ABANDON SHIP!!!"
"WHAT!?" Ven called as his eyes widened... but as he saw the orange ray coming towards him, the only thing he could do was push all his body weight into Terra... making them both fall and go over the railing.
"THIS IS BULLSHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT!"

"SORA!" A woman called as he pulled the shorter male close before she too dived into the cold waters backwards, feeling the bubbles on her back and the rush of it all.

"NO WAAAAAY! ROXAS!?" Axel called in fear as he was PULLED towards the edge and YANKED off the boat. "AAAAAAHH!"
The cold water engulfed him... and it was like a nightmare all over again. His whole body went into shock and his organs seemed to scream. Not cold water again...

However, they were all pushed further into the water as the boat was finally hit, blowing up above them and for those who were looking at the service, it was quite a show. Planks and ropes, glass and furniture, all up in blazes and scattered on the surface as heaver things fell around them. Boards were kicked to the side as object were dodged.

Something was a little more scarier than that. Two sets of lovers were in fear as their mates bodies jerked and responded negative to the water.
Pale hands wrapped around a tanner on, trying to make his stop sinking as a redhead was pulled close to his lover for warmth.

But it all stopped... almost as soon as it happened. Terra stopped sinking... coming UP towards Ven until the blonde could feel something solid on his feet.. and he was pushed up as well. They came to level with Roxas and Axel... then Fuu and Sora... and lastly, Aqua.
They were pushed up and up, objects being pushed aside as the mass finally broke surface... and water jetted out of a covered hole.
"Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaail!" The wailord called as she watched Lugia fly off and disappeared into the night.

And I can't believe it... I got Suicune!!
Ah... you made me!

Red eyes narrowed in the deep darkness of the water a faint glow surrounding him, as if his body was reflecting the glow of the moon high in the sky. However, the further down he went, the less and less the glow was in strength, dimming the less light could pass down into the thick darkness of water. He kicked his legs harder, trying to ignore the jabbing pain in his side caused by Lugia's attack. He wouldn't give up so easily.

Just as his glow and his hope was fading completely, another bluer color lit up the waters like a father of Lanturns. It confused him some - until he spotted something that made his heart leap for joy. Ho-Oh! He kicked his legs quicker, a blast of Tailwind speeding him through the water as if he were cutting right through it. He spun around the bubble, easily seeing what his master could not - the Pokemon who had decided to help them.

Thank you... He thought, unable to say so for he was running out of air. He swum under the bubble, and the Pokemon let it go, knowing he could take care of the rest. His tails flowed quickly, wind pushing up under his body as he pushed his back against the bubble, and suddenly he and Ho-Oh shoot straight up towards the surface.


Under the water a few miles away, a poor small Gyarados was valiantly searching for an old friend still. His eyesight was better than most water creatures thanks to his life as a magikarp and having the ability to live even in the most polluted of areas, but even he could of skipping over the small form of the silverette half hidden under the crate if not for the mysterious power that lifted it off and made him glow like a miniature moon.
The serpent shot forward, easily getting underneath the man, feeling his limp body get hooked on top of his before he swam for the surface.

He never quite reached there however when a blast from above pushed him back down some.


Tan fingers gripped the railing, fingers shaking some as he saw what his lover had, his wide blue eyes reflecting the orange color of the beam, dying them almost an unnatural yellow. The hell?
"-ABANDON SHIP!!!"
"WHAT?!" He cried but he didn't even have time to react, gasping as Ven suddenly rammed into him and his legs snapped against the railing before he was falling back...
Wide eyes stared as they fell seeing only the sky before they finally hit the water. His body jerked at the harsh impact, feeling weightless and cold. His heart started to hammer in his chest panic nearly winding across his entire being as he started to flail desperately in the water, until hands caught his pulling him up some.

"Wha?!" Sora cried in confusion as he felt thin but surprisingly strong fingers grasping onto him. Next thing he knew he was falling... and he was smart enough to take a deep breath before he was engulfed in the water. Not long after he heard a muffled blast that pushed him down and he looked around, seeing a glow of orange up above as if the ship had been on fire! Had it exploded?!

"Fuck!" Roxas cursed violently, terror gripping his heart as he grabbed onto Axel's arm and pulled him towards the edge. "Hang on!" He yelled to Axel's incredulous cries, before doing as Ven did and used his body to push the lanky red-head over the edge of the ship. In moment they too made a splash on the sea's surface and sank under the water.
Moment later they were yanked further down by the wave of energy above, but though it was terrifying, all the shrapnel and damage flying past them he didn't pay attention to that, concentrating on the more frightening worry of his nearly motionless fiance. He reached out, bringing the other close, his legs kicking to keep them from sinking to far. But though Sora's idea had possibly saved Axel from being lost... how would he ever manage the strength to pull them both to the surface?!

"Shit!" Aqua snapped as she abandoned her post, running for the railing. She made it just in the time, her body flying off the edge just as she heard the scream of glass and wood splinter and shatter under the strong attack. Her body was flung faster into the ocean, and it was only luck that kept her from being impaled by the destruction of the boat that came cutting through the water around her.

She was just gaining some of her bearings, ready to start swimming for the surface when she felt something press against her legs and made her tumble against some more solid. Next thing she knew she was on the surface gasping in air and hearing coughing all around her. W-What...?
She slowly sat up, feeling the rumble of a cry under his body. A wailord? She looked behind her, seeing the others all sprawled out on the rubbery girth of the creature, noticing the lengths of rope tied around them.

"T-T-The hell?!" Terra stuttered, hugging onto Ven whose body had been pushed into his when they had been lifted. The cold air of the night breezed against them some making him shudder some. But they were... alive...
"Axel... Come on Axel it's okay..." Roxas was cooing, running his hands through his lover's wet hair, knowing he was in a state of shock.
Sora breathed uneasily, laying out along the creature's back in relief. They were okay they were all-
No, they weren't all here. "RIKU!" He shouted suddenly, trying to scramble to his feet but a yank remembered him he was still tied to Fuujin. "F-Fuck!" His wet, slippery fingers grasped for the knot of the rope, shaking as he struggled to undo it. He had to get back in the water... has to find Riku!
A roaring call across the ocean made him pause though, and most of them looked towards the source of the noise, seeing a sea dragon swimming towards them. He lowered his head to the whale's back, almost as if he were about to take a bite out of him...

but instead some rolled off the top of his head, landing softly on the creature's back. A very familiar but unconscious silver-haired man.
"Riku..." Aqua murmured, but scrambled to her feet hurrying over to him, checking to see if he was even fucking breathing.

Without much warning, Ho-oh was shot up and out of the waters, flying through the air just as his safeguard broke around him. His wings spread but he could only glide to the nearest piece of land before collapsing. His breathing was labored, his feathers all ruffled and a mess.
He heard a whine close by but the bird could only close his eyes. The sun would revive him a great deal... but what was he suppose to do now?

What if she attacked him again?
An unset mother's power was the strongest in the world.


Ven shivered against Terra was he held onto him, glancing around at the boat they once knew and were VERY happy on. However, his eyes widened as he heard his brother, seeing that he got his glasses out quickly and started to undo... his rope!? "SORA!? What are you doing!?"

Axel, on the other hand, wasn't doing very good. He was hyperventilating, wearing himself down as he leaned on his love... until his body went into shock and he became limp. Firi had told him to stay away from the cold for quite some time... and even now, his organs didn't regain all their heat again.

"SORA!" Fuu called as she spat out some more sea water before grabbing the rope, pulling him back on his butt. "Don't you think about it!" He looked over at Aqua, about to ask her how she was when... her lover was looking out at the ocean. She slowly looked out at well, hoping that Lugia didn't do a U-turn and was coming back! However... it was Gary and he didn't seem all too happy... and she soon found out why.

Riku's limp body was rolled onto the whale's back, silver hair sloshing onto the rubbery skin.
"Loooooooooooooooord..." The whale sang with the new weight and Aqua moved to his side.
As she checked for his pulse, it was easy to tell that he no longer had one, his chest not showing any signs of breathing.

Paws landed shakily on the surface, having to catch his own balance though he usually the most graceful of his family, next to possibly Articuno. He panted tiredly, but saw the faint glow off of Ho-Oh's feathers as they spread out and the bird flew a short distance. He hurried across the calming sea, scaling up the piece of land slowly.
"Cuune..." He called whining a little, but the bird didn't respond except for a tired sigh. He whimpered again walking close and laying down nearby, wishing his fire brother was here.


Though there was a lot of commotion around him, panicky, worrisome things he should have been aware of, Roxas heard nothing. His heart skipped a beat as his fiance passed out. "Shit!" He sat up, reaching for Flareon's Pokeball and in a moment the red fox appeared in a flash of light. The fox was about to yip happily but she hardly got out a little 'eon!' before Roxas was ordering her about. In moment Typhlosion appeared as well, and though he was not thrilled at Roxas commanding him, one look at his master made him realize why it was the blonde telling him what to do in the first place.
Flareon was quick to jump on the red-head's chest and nestle down, her warmth spreading from her stomach. Though heavier, Ty also laid down at the red-head, trying to keep himself from crushing his overly thin master.
Roxas watched them for a few moments, before the noise of the others finally registered and he looked over... and his eyes widened at what he saw.
Not far away, Terra and Ven were silently watching as well, unable to wrap there minds around it as they hadn't seem Riku fall off the boat, hadn't even heard Gary being called or Sora's yells over the sound of the roaring, storming waves. What had happened?

Aqua knelt over Riku, turning him onto his back easily and tilting his head to the side, the excess water spilling from his mouth, checking his pulse at the same time.
She felt nothing.
She lent over, listening for a whisper of breath from his mouth.
Still nothing.
"FUCK!"

Sora shook as he too saw Riku, seeing him get tossed onto the whale as if he was nothing but a carpet! He started to scramble back to his feet, but Fuujin pulled him back down again as she saw her wife hurrying over, checking Riku's pulse.... then his breathing...
And then she cursed loudly and Sora felt his heart shatter.
"Oh god!" The brunette wailed, trying to move to his lover when a call from Aqua had Fuujin holding him back. He jerked around in her grasp, sobbing "No! Noooo let me gooo!!!"

Aqua glanced back hearing the noise, "Fuu keep him back!" Once she was certain he was somewhat restrained, she went back to Riku. Living on a boat... these situations weren't unusual to either of them. She's performed CPR thousands of times, or watched Fuu do so, all the while keeping back worried family members and friends.

But this time... she felt like she was a beginning once again and knew nothing. This time she wasn't just saving some irresponsible kid's life... this was a friend. She couldn't fail here.
She quickly tilted Riku's head back, taking a breath before leaning over, sealing their lips together and breathing out. Once. Twice. His chest rose a fell with the two exhalations. "Come on Riku..." She whispered as she placed her palms over his sternum, and started to mentally count as she pressed down on his chest, all the while ignoring the sound of Sora's weeping behind her or the audience watching her.
She found no pulse or breathing once again and went through the motions all over again.
