The Chasers: The Key to Memories Past

Gunnar frowned when he too looked at his hands, feeling the phantom pain in them healing before looking back at the two, seeing Kuku's body leaning against the other. It was ironic. They were both finally living the world...almost the same way...they had met. Namine covered her mouth as tears ran down her cheeks. The power of their hearts... it was like something she had never felt before. They were so strong and each word Eskel spoke was nothing but truth.

Fuu even looked away, tears running down her eye as she rubbed her arm. She really had hated Kuku...for taking Axel and Roxas way... for damaging her lover's home world and...everything but... his story...there was an exception.

Olette sniffed as she grew closer to her husband, laying her head on his shoulder as she watched the two slowly fade.


Golden eyes grew more and more dim by the second as more majick flew from the feather, reaching for things that he had hurt in any way.
It even reached his mother. The Divine Dragon. The tears running down her scales were gently brushed away by a warmth that could not be seen, but she knew...who it was.

"I promised... that night....that I would change. I will not do it for you. I will.... do it for us.... so we can be together at last... and not just for a night, but countless hours.... like before. Tonight, Eskel....our time has finally come...."
His golden eyes slowly closed and their bodies glowed so brightly, like the gem in the trials, that everyone had to look away. Orange sand quickly fell down the small tube until the last speck hit the sandy mountain...and the hourglass disappeared.

Sammy stumbled back a bit before the light faded and every looked back to gasp, seeing something in the bricks that were now put back together, the castle behind them restored. A symbol was carved in the white stones, easy for everyone to see. An crest that was not like any that anyone had seen before. It was of a crow, it's wings spread out with a lightning bolt going across it and in the ribbon on the bottom, the words spelled out:

Someday, It Will Be Like It Once Was.

Tensai gasped softly as his magic broke and the hourglass, as well as Eskel and Kuku, faded from their sight. Faber Horologia disappeared in a brilliance of light. There time was up.

There was silence among the group as they stared at the symbol left behind, the words nearly breaking some of their hearts.

Pointed ears perked hearing the gently crying of Miss Namine. Sanyi followed his ears to move closer to her, reaching out, his fingers brushing against her elbow gently. He stubbornly kept his eyes closed, but he knew it was her. Only she had skin so soft. He tugged her close and hugged her, "It is okay Miss Namine..."

Seifer sighed as his wife fell for all the romantic tragedy shit. He silently drew her closer, rolling his eyes. It wasn't that big of a deal was it?! At least the damn gay porn fest was over. "Come on Olette... don't be such a sap."

There was a curious hum before Kadaj started to carefully tear off the bandages from around his hands staring at them in surprise. White skin, completely unmarred, clear nails all in place. It was as if it had never happened. He reached out suddenly his fingertips running along the other's cheeks and smiled, pleased that he could feel it. "I missed this." He murmured, hands running delicately through dirty brunette hair.

Am arm drew around shaking shoulder of a lovely silverette, drawing her close in a hug. "Hey~" Aqua murmured softly, kissing the one tear-stained cheek. "It's alright now."

Lucina walked up next to Samael, taking his left hand in hers. She rubbed it gently, as if trying to replace the empty feeling that was left by Eskel's vacant soul. "You did a really good thing Sammy." At least... whatever happened to them, they finally found peace.

There was only one, silently staring at the blank whiteness, who still felt unsettled. He took a few steps forward than hesitated wonder if their souls still sat there. It would be kind of rude to walk over them. But, maybe they weren't maybe they were...

But.. souls can't die could they?

"W-What happened to them?" Tensai whispered a bit fearfully. Did they move on or... or was it something worse that would haunt his nightmares?

Roxel ran over to Tensai, his arm wrapping around his waist as they looked at the symbol together. The question however, startled him.

Namine blinked as she felt claws at her elbow...and the warmth. She sniffled and looked over, seeing Sanyi with his eyes closed. She could only giggle, wiping away some tears as she chuckled softly. He was so cute. "Thank you, Sanyi..." She said softly before leaning into his warmth, her arms hesitantly wrapping around his waist but... it felt right there...pervert or not!

Olette pouted as she wiped her own tears away and looked up at her husband. "Is there anything that makes you teary eyed!?"

Gunnar's eyes widened as he flinched a bit, feeling soft, cold finger on his cheek. His mako eyes shifted, looking at the silverette and seeing that smile. He smiled too, feeling those fingers through his hair. They were... lovingly. The man reached up, cupping the pale fingers gently before pulling them away but only to kiss them softly. A strong hand reached out, grabbing a thin waist before bringing the figure closer. The lips left the pale hand only to lean down and press against pale sensitive skin, bringing Kadaj into a sweet kiss.

Fuu smiled softly as she looked over at her wife, leaning into her warmth. "Yea... " She whispered before nuzzling Aqua's jaw.

Sammy smiled as he felt Lucina's hands on his. He held it tightly, leaning over and nuzzling his fiance. "I am only doing my job...as the last Thym..." He spoke softly as he pulled her closer. "But I couldn't of done it without you..." However, he pulled away when he heard Tensai's question. He smiled as he snapped his fingers; something he had learned that would draw people's attention.

Roxel and Tensai looked back at Samael who smiled at them before signing.
'Their souls have calmed thanks to one another. Eskel had made things right and Kuku's finally finding peace. They are now were they should of been centuries ago...but this time together.'

OOC: Sorry lovely I feel asleep on you... again. And almost slept through my shift too~ I was hoping the chime would wake me up but I guess not

Sanyi smiled laying his chin on her shoulder, "No problem Miss Namine. I told you I'd protect you." He wondered what made her smell so delicious as well. His planet had very few perfumes and those they did were expensive and smelt pretty terrible. But she didn't...

Seifer chuckled softly. "Use some pepper spray and I will." She punched him for that. "Ow! Okay, okay, the fact that we will never have any normal grandchildren might make me cry." She stomped on his toes. "Ow woman!" He looked towards his side and gagged seeing what his son and that... man were doing. "Ugh or that."

Kadaj smiled his eyes shutting as he wrapped his arms around the other's neck to bring him close, returning the kiss contently. They broke apart softly when the heard the snap and glanced at Sammy reading the sign. It made him wonder if Yazoo was there too and he made a mental note to ask Sammy later.

Aqua chuckled softly and when her wife pulled away gave her a tiny kiss on the nose, smiling down at her.

The young 'princess' smile at her fiance's words, about to tell him that even if he was a Thym and it was his 'job' he was doing it with a lot of heart - but she too caught Tensai's worried question and read Samael's answer.

Tensai smiled then and nodded sighing happily. "That's good the Sammy, did not think it was fair that a soul who killed himself didn't get to move on. Maybe his dad and Roxel's dad could like make an angel rally and change the laws and stuff. He was just conjuring up a picture of Sora and Roxas rallied in front of a court of angels when he realized it was a weird thought and he probably was hanging out with Roxel too much.

"So now what?" He asked again, breaking everyone else's concentration.

"Now we're done." Aqua said plainly, her arm loosely wrapped aroun Fuu's shoulders. "We go home, decide where we want to live and what were going to do and that's that."

Sammy would of explained why those who committed suicide weren't accepted to pass, even if he too did not believe it to be a good reason but... he was tired even though all his strength was given back times two. It was a hectic day and there was something he was looking forward too much more than signing for hours.
Something called 'wedding arrangements'. He was really looking forward to those.

Olette looked back, smiling softly at her son. She honestly wasn't expecting her little man to be gay, though he HAD enough influence, but especially not gay with a clone. But it was love and it couldn't be stopped. She was just glad they had shared a paopu so now Gunnar didn't have to worry about Kadaj dying out of nowhere. They would live together for as long as they could.

Gunnar smiled as Kadaj pulled away but kept him close. Maybe...it wouldn't be bad to just...settle down. Kdaj could learn so much and...they could spend more time together.
Alone.

Namine smiled as she nuzzled the boy softly, enjoying his warmth but enjoying Aqua's words better. It was...over? Really...?
No....
Her hazel eyes opened before she pulled away from the berserker, hearing his concern as she looked around the alter. "Something still doesn't seem right..."

Everyone was just starting to relax - when Namine spoke up. There was a collective groan hoping it was just Namine's fear that was getting the best of her - but she was a Princess of Heart, rarely were they ever actually WRONG.

"She's right..." Tensai finally said, feeling something unsettled in the air.
"Great what the hell do we do now?" Lucina groaned in annoyance. She, like Sammy, had bigger plans.
"Either of you fuckers want to elaborate!?" Seifer growled irritably. He just wanted to go home, fuck!
"Don't yell at my kid jackass!" Aqua growled right back.
"My, I never noticed, but a lot of you have very atrocious language..." Sanyi murmured.

Tensai cracked a grin at his little brother's words - he was so right - but he looked at Namine and shrugged then up towards Roxel. "Can you tell?"

Kadaj simply sighed as he leaned against Gunnar but his eyes opened, searching the area attentively. There was no presence in the area he could sense. Nothing except... "Everyone hush." They did and silence fell, not even the sound of wind in the air.

His ears sharpened and he straightened up eyes narrowing at the buzzing in his ear. This faint, familiar whirring. A noise that was only recognizable because he had heard it merely an hour ago though it was hard to hear, so many levels down, he was sure Gunnar could not catch it.

"The elevator is moving." He finally announced.

Roxel pouted and shook his head, the keyblade inside not picking up anything and god knew his hearing was going due to the loud music. "I don't feel a thing."

"Dumb like a rock, no doubt." Gunnar mumbled before the man next to him told them to be quiet, no one asking why but all their heads turned to him in wonder. Gunnar's eyes sharped and he looked around... but he heard nothing.

Eyes widened however when they heard the announcement. The elevator? But why? Was someone....coming for them?
"Let's go!" Namine called before rushing down the stairs. The rest of the Chasers were dumbfounded. Namine of all people...LOOKING for trouble.
Fuu sighed, rubbing the area between her eyebrows before nodding, following after the real princess. The group shared a look before weapons were drawn again and quickly followed.

They rushed down the room that had been in shambled a second ago, Kuku and Eskel obviously restoring it. That meant that the stairs would be restored as well and they were no longer trapped... unless their new friend had some tricks up their sleeve as well.

[Reno]

"You've got to be fucking kidding me!" Seifer and Aqua practically yelled as one as they hurried right back down the stairs. They were getting tired of this shit!

Even Kadaj couldn't help a slightly annoyed sigh as he glanced and Gunnar and shrugged before following after. So much for peace and quiet.

Lucina hung her head some but as Sammy started to move she trekked behind. "At this rate we'll never make wedding plans!"

Sanyi stood there blindly as the others started to move, wanting to follow Miss Namine but afraid he'd fall flat on his face. "Um!" And it was Tensai who grabbed him by the arm and helped him down the stairs and told him when he could open his eyes again. Roxel was on his other side, there as a support in case he fell. He was started to feel exhausted and it was starting to show.

They traveled from the largest room, down and around the castle once more, through the graveyard of the organization and stepped out onto the balcony. That is where Namine froze, and, like her mother so many years ago, she was perched on the edge of the balcony and looking down, almost ready to jump! - but unlike her mom she was not yelling for Sora. She was completely speechless.

And as the team lined up beside her on this balcony once so special to two men they had lost long ago, they could not find words either.

For at the bottom, where the battle that took Xigbar's nothing life took place, was one person they thought not even a day ago was dead.

Cruel blue eyes looked up at them and a smile fluttered across her face. "Why do you all seem so surprised?" She stepped forward a few paces, the metal on her black coat ringing, until she was in the middle of the room, easy for them all to see.

Xion.

"Because you should be fucking dead!" Aqua was the first to find her voice and snap back.
"Oh please, I'm not as pathetic as the keybladers you have known. Such trivial means wouldn't kill me." She tilted her head then grinned. "You all made it down here rather quickly didn't you? Now tell me..." A black portal waved into existence behind her. She started to step back into it.

"How fast can you run right back up?"

Then she was gone, leaving the Chasers gaping. Back... up?

"KINGDOM HEARTS!!" Tensai yelled and then he was gone, the taste of magic left in the air. Haste. He was moving faster than they could catch up to him.

"Ten- Oh, shit!" Aqua cursed. "MOVE!" The rest of the Chasers, Roxel particularly, did not hesitate to follow that order.

Namine didn't break her run as she shot down the stairs, through rooms and towards a balcony that was calling for her. She leaned over, panting as her body ached for her to stop. Her hazel eyes looked over, only to widen when she saw a familiar figure.
No.....NO!
She felt others come around her, looking down. Their reactions were all different. Some sighed, some growled...and some were just in pure shock as they saw the keyblade master once again.

Namine could only frown, looking down in guilt. She should of known that the master still lived.

Everyone was pulled out of their thoughts however when Aqua finally snapped. They listened to the wench before some eyebrows rose.
Back up? What the hell did that---

"KINGDOM HEARTS!!"

Gunnar's mako eyes widened, his head turning to see Tensai gone in a flash, Roxel quickly following behind. "OH FUCK!" The young man growled before quickly following the new orders. No wonder none of the Chasers were fat!

Olette sighed as everyone turned and started to run back up through the rooms. She glanced at Seifer before smiling softly. "I guess we ARE getting too old for this!" With that, they rushed after the others.
Namine was the last to pull away, seeing that Sanyi had stayed back for her. She gave him a weak smile before her walk became a run. "Come on!"

As Tensai and Roxel rushed up the last bit of stairs, the ones they were on just 5 minutes ago, multicolor eyes darkened, seeing a woman heading up a flight of stairs towards the large moon. "GET AWAY FROM THERE!" His keyblade suddenly shined to appearance, hate in his blood. That, for all he cared, was his parent's moon!

[Reno]

With Roxel's anger, Tensai felt his own blood burning, his lips pulled back in a snarl. He wasn't sure where this second wind was coming from - he should of been down for the count after what Kuku did - but he had a feeling that she had a lot to do with it. Good or bad, the presence of the Keyblade Master was vitalizing.

Xion did not even look back, as if they weren't worth showing more than her back too, as she walked along the alter, stepping all over her ancester's symbol of love and standing before the moon.

"Hey! Are you listening?!" Tensai snapped as he and Roxel stopped across from her, both of them ready to jump into the offense. There were footsteps not far behind them - the rest of the Chasers.

There was a sigh from the woman and she still refused to turn. "Your fathers were weak fools."
"What?!" Tensai growled. His silverette mother had to hold him back from attacking. Rash moves could get them killed.
"So much they could of down, so much power they had to change!" She laughed spreading out her arms. "They could have done anything! Xemnas understood so little about just what Roxas had! Yet they wasted everything on such trivial things like love and family!"

"What are you jabbering about?" Aqua growled the handle of her spear blocking Roxel from jumping right at the black-haired woman and trying to take her head off. She had a feeling he would not be successful. "Sora opened up paths and brought back worlds, Roxas was able to help bring back hearts to thousands of Nobidoes - Nobodies like you!"

She scoffed, waving her hand as if they meant nothing. "Those are little accomplishments. Nothing in comparison of what could of been." She turned around finally, her looked rather mad as she grinned. "I'm talking a real change. A change of everything!" She spread out her arms. "Keybladers are the most powerful beings in the world. We can take the light and turn it to dark if we willed! Destroy entire connections as if they had never been!"

"You're insane!" Lucina claimed.

"Oh no, this is what is meant to be. The blades are destiny - it is MY destiny to throw the light from the throne its held for so many millennium! It is time for darkness to rule once again!"
"You are fucking off your rocker! You'd think we'd let you?!" Seifer snarled.

"How will you stop me?" She laughed her blade appearing in her hand. She held it up, and power radiated across the alter. There were some grunts as the pressure came over them and almost like it was a gravity spell they started to have trouble standing. "With this, I am the god of all. I will sit at a throne over Zeus!" She turned her eyes to stare at the two bladers. "And you two... you may either be under me, or be destroyed. Your choice. Either way neither of you are worthy of any blade." She stepped onto the railed then stepped back again but did not fall. A crystal bridge lit up under her, going up towards the moon where the doors to Kingdom Hearts appeared. There was a loud click and they started to swing open, welcoming her.

Roxel grit his teeth as he stopped next to his lover, panting hard as his different color eyes darkened easily. The rest stopped behind them, feeling a power over the three as they glared...well....two glared at their 'master's' back. Fuu's eye widened before she wrapped her arm around her adopted son, holding him back before he did anything stupid...even if this bitches words hurt her too.

That was when Roxel had it too. There fathers were.........WORTHLESS!? FOOLS!? HIS FATHERS ALONE SAVED MILLIONS OF NOBODIES AND SORA HAD CREATED SO MANY CONNECTIONS. Aqua seemed to have the same view before he could lung out, seeing the staff placed in front of him.

"Who would want a universe full of Darkness!?" Namine called, feeling Sanyi next to her. "They didn't change anything because nothing NEEDED to be changed! They understood the balance that this universe needs to stay alive!" Her blood was boiling, fists shaking as she saw how careless the black haired woman was.
However, as the space majick was placed over them, the crest below them started to shine and light sparked from it, lifting the spell only minutes later.

Everyone watched as Xion turned, opening the doors to the Kingdom and...saw the hearts fly out. Roxel quickly snapped his fingers, calling up Nobodies all around. These hearts wouldn't be wasted! Not over his parents or his own dead body. As the woman started to go up the stairs towards the doors, a large, strong gust of wind came out of no where, slamming the doors shut in her face.

Everyone's eyes widened before looking at Fuu....but even she seemed to be surprised.
Purple eyes saw it though. "Ven..."

Tensai tensed up as Xion made her way for Kingdom Hearts knowing if she got inside it was all over. She'd have the power to change anything inside of there - and since she was master she could keep the door closed on them! "No!!" He was about to call another haste spell - to run in after her and hope that he could do something...

When a force of a different kind stepped in first. A force of wind that shut the doors with unreal ability. His jaw dropped, looking towards his mother in shock but she seemed just as befuddled. It... hadn't been her?

Xion was frozen on the bridge, staring at the doors, aghast. What...? The land started to shake suddenly, almost seemed to growl and it made Xion back up nervously. The bridge started to crack, half of it breaking off completely, leaving a wide gap behind the Nobody.

The next form Sammy spotted was on four legs, his grin menacing as he sat on the railing.

Then three stunning sounds echoed - a chain rattling, a soft yipping and a sound like song - and three winged creatures fell from the sky. Two lands in front of the doors, wings spread protectively while the third, this one on four legs, perched at the top of the threshold.

"W-What's going on?!" Xion snapped as she looked all around. She could feel the presence of something there but... nothing was to be seen.

Sammy's eyes widened as he saw all the bouts of light, coming into view. A familiar Savior... well...three actually. Two pets who he was sure were animal Saviors. They guarded the doors as if it were Heaven's gates, not wanting to let the devil pass. He looked down, seeing the wolf that had died only a few years ago. Ven however had disappeared but reappeared up above, seeming to force the hearts that escaped towards the Nobodies in waiting...and the moment they became humans again, a black portal surrounded them before sucking them in.

"NOOO!" Roxel called as he looked down, seeing the new human's falling into the Darkness but Sammy put his hand on the boy's shoulder. Roxel looked back, eyes wide and panicked but Sammy only gave him a soft smile and a nod. They were alright. And they were too.
Back in Delshad, the portal reappeared, making the new Somebodies look around curiously.

A fire started to glaze the doors, seemed to be hottest around the invisible keyhole before it started to inch its way towards Xion, making her back up towards the gap.
"Burn, BABY!" The fire seemed to flare out suddenly making her steps back quicker.

[Reno]

The Chasers were all gaping as they watched the power struggle that seemed to be going on - but unlike Sammy none of them could see who it was. Even Lucina, connected to him, had no idea what was going on - but she could feel in her heart that Sammy was content. He could see - that meant there were souls out there? "Sammy what is going on?!"

Just as she asked, their enlightenment came. Roxas stood on top of the door and spread his wings.

"Oblivion." A purple heart framed the fire and around Xion, bringing them close around her. It wasn't as large as before but the glow was unforgettable. It was a spell they had seen used again and again.

The wind the earthquake the fire... and now the heart.

Ven. Terra. Axel. And Roxas.

The fire and heart exploded and there was a scream, Xion shadowed behind smoke and the bridge breaking the rest of the way. This bothered those in front of the door none as their wings spread and they hovered instead.

There was a desperate yell then Xion jumped through the smoke, her clothes tattered and her skin burned. She was making her way for the altar - and couldn't see the wolf waiting for her. She didn't even touch down before she was tackled, her body being pinned to the altar floor. The keyblade in her hand went spinning up through the air.

Another savior flew through the air, his pristine white wings spread as he reached out and caught the blade. He seemed to hover in midair, drawing his wings around the blade and shutting his eyes. "Light" And from his call white light spread outwards, lighting the sky more so than the moon. He spread his wings and the keyblade was revealed again - different this time. The darkness that had been poured into it by Xion's evil heart was gone. Though it's shape and properties had not changed, it's color had, just like Ultima or Bond of Flames did when it 'died' and 'lived'.

The wires, once an ugly black, were now a beautiful gold and the barbed wire a stunning silver, showing off a craftsmanship no jewelry could master. The handle, once grey and rat-like, was now brown and resembled that of a money and the once dark purple crescent moon keychain was now a light blue. Sora spin the blade on his fingers then threw it and it landed right in front of Tensai.

The time blader jumped in surprise, looking at the blade with wide eyes. He heard his mom, even distracted, telling him to take it. So he did, reaching out and the blade disappeared when he touched it, the name whispering in his ears.

Thief's Honor

Sammy's mouth opened but before she could them them that souls and Saviors of their relatives and friend were aiding, Roxas gave them the idea of who were there.
Roxel's eyes opened wide, the fire that had flared out feeling familiar....and that heart. "DADDIES!?" He cried but still Aqua held him back and they all pushed backwards as Xion came flying back to the alter. Gunnar growled before blue shards started to whirl around the woman, the ten blades appearing before slamming down. It cut close to her body but they did nothing but pin her as the rest of the Chasers looked up in awe as the floating Keyblade.

Some covered their eyes when the new spell was cast before looking back, seeing the new blade. It was now and oddly beautiful than it had been before. It was suddenly thrown out, sliding to Tensai's feet.
"TAKE IT!" Fuu called quickly, her son not hesitating as he picked up the blade.

As Xion tried to get up, another forceful blow of air shot out towards her, making her stay down on the ground.
When hazel eyes saw the woman struggle on the floor, she knew it might be their last chance. Namine left Sanyi's side before running in front of the group. She took her Blitzball in both hands before holding it in front of her heart. Beautiful eyes closed before she hummed, her body suddenly starting to glow bright and her hair and clothes shifted from an invisible power.

The blitzball started to glow as well, light shimmering it around it before she let the ball go. Instead of falling, it only hovered, glowing more and more until it was a pure white. Her hands slowly moved outward and the ball started to travel across the alter before stopping over Xion who was still struggling.
"Hearts....GLOW!"
Namine called before her eyes opened, all the light around her shooting out like shooting stars towards the glowing ball before a large burst of light shined between the blades, covering Xion in the light and warmth of a pure heart.
