The Tale of Seven

[Reno]

Flareon's ears fell a little as the large Pokemon yelled at her rather than greeting her back. This was not going to be a fun battle. "Flare..."
Roxas frowned some but shook his head. "It's alright Flareon! We'll get him back!"
The fox looked back and smiled before looking forward again as the judge said to begin. Saix called out right away and suddenly the ground was shaking making Roxas wheel his arms to try and catch his balance and Flareon grit her teeth and hunker down, doing her best not to slip and slide on the ice.

Jolteon was looking at the battle with rapt attention his eyes narrowed on Flareon's opponent. When the earthquake started Jolteon growled furiously. He already had a great distaste to ground attacks, but he definitely did not like the fact that someone was using it on his little sister.

The arms around the yellow fox squeezed lightly, as if to offer some comfort. "She'll be okay Jolt." Sora said softly, watching as well. Flareon was weak to ground attacks though. Come on Roxas...

"And Saix has decided to start shaking things up with an earthquake attack! Its so powerful the ice is breaking all around and Flareon seems immobilzed!"

Roxas grunted gripping onto the railing and his legs shook underneath him but the sound of the ice cracking and starting to fall made him look up. He saw boundlers of ice rolling from the hilltops down to the level stage some of it coming for his fox. He grit his teeth. "Burn the ice! Flamethrower now!!"

Flareon looked up, her eyes giving a gleam and it opened it's mouth. "FLARE!" A strong plume of flame shot out flying across the stage and burning the falling ice to nothing and continued to be fired at Abomasnow.


Aqua grinned evilly the second she heard the woman and looked at Ven who cowered. "Around the edges she said~" She gripped the blonde and threw him back to his chair and the tweezers came at him again. "Now hold still!!"

A few of the girls looked over as the screams started.


Houndoom tongue continued to lull and little hearts started to appear over its head as the Delcatty started to try and seduce him. If only his master had taught him charm attack he could really wow her!

He started to follow her, but an upset voice and a hand in his face made him pause and blink. He looked up and started to growl at the girly man, not likely that he was being interrupted just when he found a Pokemon willing to accept his advances. "Hooow..." The dog growled, a thin stream of black smoke coming from it's mouth as flame burned in its chest.


Terra looked back, seeing that the girls were started to purchase tickets and he groaned. "Damn it Houndoom!" He was going to KILL him. He sighed and slowly stood, his cheeks rosy as he followed the line searching in his pocket for money.

He got to the front and put down the cash a grimace on his face and eyebrows twitching in agitation.
"So... for one...?" The girl behind the counter said, trying to hold in her laughter. She hardly ever saw a MAN buying tickets for a cute contest... alone.
"Yes..."
"Okay here's your change..." The girl said, grinning. "And your ticket. Hehehe... Enjoy the show!!"
Terra took it and walked into the auditorium, grinding his teeth as laughter echoed from behind him. He was NEVER going to live this down.

[Rikugurl]

Axel frowned as he watched all the ice and snowballs heading for the little fox. Luckily, she was small enough to dodge most of it... With the rest, she was able to melt it quickly.
"YEA! GO FLAREON!" He called, Ninetails helping with the cheer. "NINE! TAILS! TAAAAAAAILS!"

Down below, the yellow eyes narrowed. "Dodge that fire, Abe!"
Even for the large Pokemon, he was able to curl up into the snow and do fairly well at camouflaging. The green parts of his body didn't help much though.
When the fire stopped, Saix called out once more. "Use Avalanche! Bury that fox!"

"AB!" The snowy pokemon roared as he popped back up and his arms spread wide. A power lifted up clumps of snow around the area, just like Hariyama did with the rocks. Instead of rocks falling all over though, large amounts of snow started to fall above the bright red fox.


The remaining girls who could perform that day kept staring at the short girl with the Spinda. They were shocked that she would even be able to sing after screaming like that. When the show director went out on stage, all the girls in the crowd cheered.

"Hello everyone and welcome to the Victory City's 10th Annual Cute Contest!" Another round of calls came from the girls and the three judges clapped, one being the rosy haired man who had picked up his Delcatty from that mutt and brought her with him to the judge table.

"This is a big year for us and I must say, we have found the cutest little girls and pokemon yet! Unfortunately, due to a mishap with a stole-away pokemon, many of our contestants aren't able to perform today." There was a sound of sighs and soft whines but the director waved her hand. "It's alright, dears! There is always tomorrow! That's right! We will be showing again tomorrow and the tickets you bought today with be good for tomorrow's part as well!"

More cheers ran though the room, some girls in cute dresses looking up at the single man next to them and giggled.
"As usual, the judges will be judging three parts of the cute contest! First off, the cuteness of the contestants pokemon, second will be the cuteness of the contestant herself and lastly, the cuteness of the outfit and make up of the contestant! And I would like to announce that this year will be the first year that we'll be having personal choice awards!"

More cheers came from the crowd as girls bounced and waved their hands in excitement. "That's right! A girl will be awarded thanks to your vote! They will get a cute accessory box full of the finest make-up products for them and their pokemon!"
A screen pulled down and she smiled as she looked up at it. "Alright, for this year's winner of the Victory City's 10th Annual Cute Contest, we will be giving away a very RARE and cute pokemon! Can anyone guess what it is!?"

All the girls cried out the names of cute pokemon, some screaming it and bouncing in excitement.
"Let's see!"
The woman smiled as a picture of the pokemon came up onto the screen.
It was a purple Lapras.

"AAAAAAAWE!!" The crowd cheered as Venita looked to see the prize, hearing the girls behind him.
"No way! I've never seen one of those before!"
No duh... that's why they're call--
"She's so cute!"
"I wanna put ribbons on her!"
"She'd look so nice with a necklace!"
Venita shuttered but grinned as the screen was put up.

"And now, without further wait, out first performer!"
That was him!
He smiled as he dropped his Spinda on the floor and grabbed it's hand before walking out onto stage.
The girls around Terra covered their mouths at how cute the girl looked! She still had a spinda hat on but her cute white dress had... MUFFINS on them!

"May I introduce Venita Troublefield and her Spinda, Mookie-Pookie Bear!"
All the girls clapped and so did the judges. The director smiled as she went off stage, leaving Venita with the mic and her Spinda.
"Um..." The girl squeaked into the mic but smiled. "Hello~~♥!" The girls in the crowd called back to her before she continued. "I'll be singing a song with my bestest pokemon in the whole wide world! I hope you enjoy~~" She winked to the crowd before twirling.

The beginning of the song started as the girl took the mic and let go of her spinda.
"Down at Victory City's fair~" She started as she wobbled like her Spinda.
"One evening I was there~~" She sang cutely and stiff as she kicked up her legs some.
"When I heard a baker
Shouting underneath the flair..."

She giggled as she twirled, her spinda doing the same.

"Oh, I've got a lovely bunch of muffins~~"
The crowd cheered and giggled as they sang along. "Doddley do do!"
"There they are all standing in a row!"
"Two, three, four!!"

"BIG ones, smaaaaall ones, some as big as your HEAD!" She giggled as she bopped around the stage with the dizzy pokemon spinning behind her.
"Give 'em a sniff!" She stopped, the Spinda slamming into her legs and falling down, rolling over itself.
"Pickoff the choc-chiiiiiiiiips~~~" She cooed as she got down and picked up her spinda, holding it close and snuggling it.

"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaawe~~" The crowd smiled.

"That's what the baker said!!!"
One last twirl and she dropped the spinda again, only for it to wobble to the end of the stage. "Spinda?" And bowed, falling over itself.

The crowd roared with cuteness as the music ended and everyone clapped.

"Catty!" The Delcatty meowed as her master clapped happily.

[Reno]

Sora grinned as Flareon blasted down the ice and her sleek body dodged the rest - unfortunately her attack didn't hit. All she really needed was one could hit with her fire and she'd probably win it - but Saix was making sure to make the fox keep her distance so the flames would be easier to dodge.

Jolteon squirmed some more, trying to get out of his trainer's arms. He wanted to jump down into the fight and help out his sister and his struggling grew more so as the large pile of snow started to come at his sibling. "Eon!!"

Flareon's ears perked at the next attack, her tail wagging excitedly as her dream came true, snow clumps falling for her. Roxas grit his teeth but blinked and grinned. "Flareon curl up and brace yourself!" The red fox barked happily and laid down, curling up and glowing yellow as all the snow fell ontop of her.

The crowd gasped in surprise and some people leaned forward.

"And Flareon's been buried by that avalanche folks! what could Roxas be thinking?!"
"Flamethrower!!"
In the little pocket of snow, where a protect attack was still around the fox, ears twitched and eyes opened before letting go another plume of flame. From the mound burst a great stream of fire and then, a few seconds later, Flareon climbed out, tail wagging happily. That had been fun!!! "Flare!"
"Ah! Amazing Flareon came out of that attack and appears to have taken little to no damage!"

Roxas smirked before nodded. "Alright Flare, charge forward!"
The fox barked and ran across the field towards her opponent. She could see the Pokemon started to clench up, getting ready for her as his master started to respond.


Houndoom continued to growl, even as the trainer scooped up his Delcatty and walked off. he did however cool his flames, not wanting to accidentally burn the cat he was infatuated with and sighed laying on the floor, looking miserable and sad.

Some of the girls, those that were still in the contest, around him started to 'Ahh' finding his puppy dog look adorable despite his mean-looking face. "True love is so cute and romantic!" One of the girls said as she walked over and knelt down, grinning. "You want to get that Delcatty huh?"
The dog just looked at her pathetically.
"I think I know how to help!"
The hound raised his head, tongue lolling out happily and he smiled. "How!!"
"Come on!" She chirped, walking back to her table. Houndoom jumped to his feet and ran after.


Terra sighed as he slumped into a chair holding his arms close to himself as if the cuteness was catching and crossing his legs irritably, tapping his foot. He started to scan the area, hoping he'd catch sight of Houndoom but there was no such luck.

It wasn't long however before the announcer was on stage - some bimbo who looked disgustingly cute - happily beginning to announce in this syrupy sweet voice that was making Terra's stomach turn. Even worse there was a day two - but if he was lucky he wouldn't have to spend more than five minutes here. He sighed shutting his eyes as the girls around him shot glances at him and whispered excitedly - did every girl have to gossip seriously?!

He heard one whispering that he was probably watching one of his girlfriends perform and another murmured how 'cute' that was and how she wished her boyfriend was so pathetic. He started to grow a tic in his eyebrow veins popping out in his forehead. He didn't even fucking LIKE girls because they adored contests like these and the fucking color pink!

His eyes opened curiously however as he heard the announcer say something about a rare Pokemon, getting a good luck at the purple Lapras. Ugh, he was wrong - purple is way worse than pink. He was glad he had no Pokemon in EITHER color. He shut his eyes, feeling an on-coming headache.

Aqua meanwhile looked at the prize with greed grinning maliciously. "You better win!" She hissed to Ven. Even if he didn't they were GOING to have that Lapras. He nodded as the two went out, keeping watch by the curtains as the performance started. And the minute it did she could not stop laughing. She was laughing so hard her sides hurt and tears streamed down her face.

Terra's eyes opened as the first contestant came on stage then his eyes widened and he smiled a little, leaning forward as he took in the sight. The blonde curls, the delicate make-up, the shapely legs and arms, and face that still had some baby fat on it. He didn't even hear the girls around him whispering excitedly, figuring the girl who just stepped on stage was his girlfriend. They had no idea the reason he was smiling... was because her dress had muffins on it.

The brunette rose an eyebrow at the name - Venita... Troublefield? He shook his head, but watched his rapt attention as she started to dance and sing on stage, the muffins on her dress swishing with her. Her Spinda meanwhile just danced dizzily after. The whole performance was incredibly foolish and stupid in his opinion and if it wasn't for the fact she was singing about muffins (and he'd admit she was fucking pretty) he wouldn't of cared at all.

Saix's gasped as he watched the fox curl up and let the snow... overtake her. He had heard about the fight the day before... about the Metagross that had almost died in a battle.
No one knew what exactly happened to the Metagross and its trainer... but the board said that after a few hours, the pokemon was fully healed and was back to being 100%. As for Gethin well... there was no news about his whereabouts.

He was hoping that this wasn't going to be the same thing.
"ABE! QUICK AND---" Before he told his pokemon to dig for the fox, there was a burst of snow and then... that smart little thing came up from it like nothing had happened.

"YEA! GO FLAREON!" Axel continued to cheer.

Saix growled and clenched his teeth but sprung into action as the Flareon was heading right for Abe.
"ABE! USE WOOD HAMMER!"
"Masnow!" The large Pokemon roared before bracing itself... and they rushed right for Flareon as well.

"Wood hammer?" Axel frowned as he bit his lip. "That's a super powerful attack. I hope Roxas knows what he's doing..."


"Even her name is super cute! Troublefield? I wonder if she's as cute in person!"
"Oh! I bet you she is!"
"We should invite her to our cute club!"
"OH MY GOD! That's such a cute idea!"
The girls around Terra giggled as the cheering went down.

The director came out and smiled, clapping as well as she took the mic from Venita. "Why thank you for the absolutely cute performance, Miss Troublefield!"
Ven smiled widely and nodded his head, letting the curls bounce. "You're so very welcome! ♥" She giggled as she picked up her Spinda.

"Alright judges, what do you have to say?"

The first judge was a woman with long, golden hair and a cute dress on. By her side on the table was a Jumpluff.
"I give a 9.5!"
The crowd cheered as Venita bowed and giggled.
The next judge was another woman with wavy brunette hair with a cute suit. By her side on the table was a Spoink.
"A 9.7!"
More cheers.

The last judge was a male with rosy hair and a very flamboyant outfit with roses on his shirt and tight black pants.
By his side on the table was a...
"Del! Deeeel!" The Delcatty meowed as she wagged her tail.
"I give her a---"

[Reno]

Jolteon, naturally, was also horrified as his sister was buried, his spikes starting to stick up. Sora couldn't help but wince as they started to poke them but he remained confidant, knowing what his brother had planned. Flareon, being the baby of Roxas' Pokemon despite being the longest one he had, got pampered often and worried over in battles. That was why Roxas taught her protect, so she would be have a strong defensive move when things got rough. He didn't want anything to ever happen to her.

Despite being so unsure during his fights, Roxas did have a lot of care for his Pokemon and pretty good strategy, though sometimes he lost it under pressure or when he grew angry. Sora patted down Jolteon's spikes and grinned as Flareon appeared and, without any problem, started to run forward. "Alright Roxas!!"

His eyes narrowed though when he heard the next attack and Axel's concern. He took a glance towards Roxas, noticing his stance. When Roxas was panicked his pupils would dilate and his shoulders would tense and he'd start grinding his teeth. When he felt he was in complete control he was relaxed, he'd smirk evilly and his arms would be at ease at his sides or on his hips. He was in the latter. "Don't worry he's got it."

And Sora wasn't wrong. Roxas was smirking even as the large Pokemon was barreling towards his own, the two closing distance every second. "Dodge left!"
Flareon barked and did so, still several feet away from the Pokemon. Though she wasn't as fast as her spiky yellow sibling she still had some speed on her side and quickly disappeared in the field thanks to her small size and the large ice rocks that hide even her bright colors from view.

"Strength!"
Behind one of the rocks Flareon started to back up before she rushed forward, her body glowing white as she pounced and crashed into an ice rock nearly three times her size without fear. The rock cracked and broke from its placement, drawing Abomasnow's attention towards that direction. The ice rock sailed through the air and flew for the heavyset Pokemon, though even as it hit and shattered against the Pokemon's left side of the body it did not fall over thanks to its strong, tree-like feet.
However the attack certainly took him by surprise and 'rooted him down' which was all Roxas wanted. "Fire Spin!"

Flareon's eyes glowed yellow as if she was using leer before she growled and her mouth opened, a spiraling twister of flames set lose. It followed the path of the rock and, just seconds after it was shattered and falling to the floor against the Frost Tree Pokemon, the fire spin approached and melted ice as it did.


Aqua was grinning at the scores her hands curled into fists and her body bouncing on her heels in excitement. they were awesome scores good enough to probably put her in the lead! "Yes... yes..." But she yelped suddenly as something RAN past her, hitting against her leg and making her topple onto her ass. "Hey!"
The black thing stopped on stage and threw back it's head. "HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!!"

Terra turned his head glad he was on the edge and started gagging as the girls around him talked. God his stomach couldn't take this!! As the director came back his eyes went back forward to watch Venita in her dress, practically seeing the modest blush rising on her cheeks as she started to receive near perfect scores.

He rolled his eyes guessing they were going easy on her since she was first and also because contests like these that focused on cuteness or beauty were very lenient unlike the tough or smart contest which was incredibly difficult to win points on. He sighed hearing the last announcer begin... but a commotion stopped everything and his eyes widened in horror and he started to stand from his seat as something else came onto stage. A FAMILIAR something. "Oh god..."

Houndoom had run onto the stage, his howl echoing around the auditorium and echoing well because of it's dome shape. Many of the girls in the crowd flinched and cowered backwards and Pokemon off-stage whined some in fright. Spinda was the only one too dumb not to realize he should be afraid.

Houndoom came to the center and then lowered its head and blinked, seeing everyone with wide eyes of fear or unease, almost everyone holding disapproving stares and even Delcatty wasn't impressed or happy looking. If he had ears they would of fallen in depression. Instead his tail did.
"Hoow..." He whined before a voice whispering off stage made him look over, seeing the girl who had helped him smiling encouragingly and making a hand motion for him to continue. "Come on you can do it!"

His tongue lolled and he looked forward towards Delcatty. Everyone in the crowd was starting to calm down and whisper fervently, mixed feelings being sent across the crowd.
"What's it doing?"
"Is he part of Venita's act?"
"No one someone as cute as her wouldn't have a Pokemon as ugly as that!"
"It's so scary!"
"Ahh, look at him, he's all dressed up!"
"He's kind of cute."

And Houndoom was 'dressed' up. He had a blue bow tied around his neck like a bow tie on a tuxedo, hiding the skull-collar. At the point-like tips of its horns were tied red ribbons that spiraled and fell to either side of his body so long they nearly touched the ground. On about the middle of his tail were three miniature bow ties in two colors - purple, tan, purple - to match Delcatty's coloring. At the end, his devilish, pointed tail was curled around the stem of an orange tulip to match her own tail.

Terra was so shocked he fell back into his seat, mouth gaping open.

He started forward proud and certain as he approached the judges' table and calmly turned his body sideways, his tail coming up and setting the flower on the table in front of Delcatty where she stood. The crowd watch the act in near silence, but the minute the flower was laid out, their was a rounding 'AHHHHHH HOW CUTE!'

Houndoom grinned triumphantly, and ran away a few paces, turning to face her again and threw his head back once more. Everyone quickly covered their ears, afraid of another howl. Even Terra who knew better than to listen to two of those howls in one go because even his strong muscles would get weak and shaky.
However... it was not a howl they heard. Now exactly. More like a barking-howling... song.
"Hooow.... hooow hound..... Hoooow hooow dooo!" The dog sang in a loud, scary voice swaying its head back and forth. "Hooooooooooow dooooo hooow, hooow hooow, hooow doooo! Dooooo hoooo! Hound! Dooooooo!"

"Ugh!"
"Ah make him stop!"
"Okay enough!"

Houndoom's eyes opened and he lowered his head, his song stopped and he looked around, seeing everyone STILL covering their ears and Delcatty's ears down, looking mighty displeased. He frowned unhappily before his growled and showed his teeth deciding he'd have to impress her another way! His way!

Terra's eyes widened and his hands dropped as he jumped from his chair and raced down the steps, knowing EXACTLY what was about to happen. "HOUNDOOM NO!" But it was too late as the fire Pokemon pulled back his head and opened its mouth, letting out a powerful fire attack that flew across the tops of the ceiling.

The heat of the flames had a very unfortunate effect... of turning on the sprinkler system.
Girls started to scream as cold water came down in torrents on them.
"My make-up!"
"My clothes!"
"My poor babies!"
"That monster!"
"We need to get out of here!"
"Move move! This dress was expensive and it can't get wet!"

Houndoom's head slowly lowered as water became to pour all over him as if it where raining and he looked towards the judge's table only to see them all rushing off with their Pokemon - even Delcatty who looked incredibly furious at being wet. "How?" He whimpered and hung his head in shame. However he looked up in fright as angry stomps that vibrated the wooden stage came close and the dog's eyes widened, seeing his brunette haired master now wet with his brown bangs plastered over his eyes. The frown on his face was certainly not happy.

"Houndoom..." Terra hissed, pushing aside his hair so the dog could get the full force of his glare. His Pokemon only whimpered and laid down on the ground, trying to look as apologetic as possible. Terra stared him down angrily for a few more moments, before he expelled his anger with a heavy sigh and shook his head. "You're pathetic." He grumbled as he reached down, tugging at a horn.

"Come on." He forced his dog to get to his feet and walked him towards the back of the stage were the sprinklers were still off. He didn't need Houndoom getting too weakened or sick from the water.

[Rikugurl]

Green eyes narrowed but they glanced over at Sora, Axel's head nodding. Sora would know his brother... so if he said Roxas AND Flareon was going to be fine... he'd have to have faith. He couldn't help but bite his lip as he watched though.

Yellow eyes watched closely as well, seeing the little space left between his Pokemon and the other's.

Seeing that Abomasnow was a large and heavy pokemon, stopping quickly was not his best function. "Snow?" He blinked as the small pokemon suddenly took a sharp left and looked back. The large legs did stop but too late and too heavy to be quick to figure it out. Until of course there was a huge noise and chunks of ice was sailing right for it.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAB!" The pokemon growled and cried out as it was hit, getting rather pissed off. Before it could come back with an attack before his master could call one, he tried to pick up one of his legs but... it didn't budge. "SNOW!!!" The ice had pierced through his feet... though he couldn't feel it, and obviously he couldn't get anywhere.

He didn't even have the time to pull it out when he was surrounded by snow.
"AAAB! AAAB!" The large pokemon flailed, fire starting to engulf him. Hopping around on one foot, the large pokemon fell over into the snow, swirls in his eyes.

The bluette male growled before throwing his ball out and the Abomasnow was energized.
The crowd went wild and Axel smiled. "Alright!"

When the announcer ended his announcement, a Dive Ball was taken from the man's belt and tossed into the arena.
"Sharpedo! Finish that Flareon off!"
The energy formed a floating, rather large shark like fish that snapped her jaws a few times before glaring down at the Flareon. "Shaaaaaaaaar!"


Ven's eyes were growing wide as the girly man was going to tell him his total, seeing what awesome score he was going to have but... "Aaaah!" He was almost tripped by some stupid ass Houndoom! Where the FUCK did that thing come from!?
His eyes darkened as he glared down at it... but then he remembered that he had to be a cute girl.

He blinked and only puffed up his cheeks and made a cute looking mad face. "How rude!" She picked up her spinda and held it close as but quickly dropped him when she heard the... horrible cry.
He couldn't help but shake...
When the dog was done, he slowly pulled his hands away and watched the pathetic thing give the Delcatty a bouquet of flowers.

The cat blinked as she rose a paw as the flowers were put down in front of her.
"D-deell...." She lowered her head and sniffed them before smiling. "Catty!" When she rose her heard though... that was when the singing started.
"TTY!!" Her ears lowered as she shook, everyone covering their ears again.

When the so called 'singing' stopped though, everyone seemed to jump from their chairs as the cute houndoom started to snarl and show it's teeth.
"Oh no! We need to..." The howl made all the girls shiver... and even more when the water came on.

"NOOOOOOO!"
"BUCHIES!"
"HURRY! GET OUT!"
"I'M RUINED!"
The judges grabbed their pokemon and fled as did all the girls watching. The rosy haired man grabbed up the very wet and pissy cat. Her claws dug into his shoulder as he sped out of the room with her. "CAAAAAAAAAAAATTTY!!"

Ven's eyes widened as he water drenched him, his ears on his hat falling down into his face. He himself didn't mind getting wet but he had to act like a damn sissy!
"OH NO!" He shrieked as the director wrapped her arms around him and took him off stage with Mookie-Pookie Bear.

[Reno]

Jolteon's ears perked as the battle was won and he gave a foxy grin. "Jolt jolt!!"
"See I told you!" Sora laughed, hugging his fox close as he looked down on the stage, knowing Roxas was probably feeling much more confidant now that he had won once.

Flareon grinned as the large Pokemon was recalled. "Flareon!" The fox said happily, running around in a small little circle as if she was chasing her tail, making the crowd chuckle again.

"Oh and it seems that's it for Abomasnow! It seemed it just couldn't take the heat of that fire spin!" The announcer claimed while a chime echoed on the stage. Just as soon as that, the new Pokemon came on stage. "But this battle is just getting started folks and Saix doesn't look like a quitter! His second choice is Sharpedo, the brutal Pokemon! Flareon's ears perked as the next Pokemon came on stage her eyes curiously and friendly - but she quickly whimpered and started to back away as the shark appeared, snapping at her. "Flaaaare...?" She whined tentatively, trying to greet the other but only getting a glare from those red eyes that made her flinch.
Jolteon was growling furiously in his trainer's arms, his eyes narrowed on the shark that was challenging his sister now.

Roxas stared at the shark for about two seconds before shivering and shaking his head. "Flareon come back!"
"Ah what's this? It seems Roxas has decided to not let his Flareon continue!"
The fox slowly started to back away and once she believed there was a great enough distance between herself and the shark turned and ran until she crashed into her master's legs nearly making him topple over. Roxas looked down at her and smiled, petting her on the head to soothe her sudden frightened nerves. "You did great. Take a rest alright?" He grabbed her Pokeball, returning her.

He straightened looking at the Sharpedo who seemed even madder he didn't get his fox lunch and scoffed, trying to think what would be a good match.
"Absol, Ab!"
Roxas blinked but glanced over. "You want to...?"
Absol growled and nodded, knowing the rest of the blonde's Pokemon, sans maybe Skarmory, would only be ripped to shreds by the shark.
He nodded. "Alright."

Absol smirked and jumped over the railing landing on the ice with little trouble, his spread claws making it easier to not slip. He growled right back at the shark, looking just as menacing as the other.

"And an interesting choice! Absol, being also a dark-type Pokemon, might prove to be some trouble for Sharpedo! This Pokemon has been known for its ability to predict natural disasters, proving it has sharp senses and a rough behavior."


Terra sighed as he seemed to be the one of the last out of the never-ending flood that was no doubt turning the stage behind him to ruins. He opened his eyes, hearing the noise of the crowd still outside pushing and shoving and yelling in very non-cute ways as they tried to escape.

Back stage was chaos as well as the director began to yell for someone to shut off the sprinkler system and the girls who were ready had make-up running down their faces because they were too busy sobbing about their lost chance to perform. When he and Houndoom appeared, many heads turned towards them and glared viciously.

Terra was just beginning to wonder how sharp a girl's nails were when another approached him. She was a brunette with flipped out hair and she looked abashed and ashamed. He gave her a distrustful look when Houndoom whined and tore from his grip nuzzling the other.
She looked down in surprise, petting the dog tentatively before looking up. "I'm sorry this is all my fault! He was just so taken by that Delcatty and I couldn't help but help. True love is my one fascination!"
Terra stared at the other for a few short seconds then suddenly it clicked together. So THAT was why Houndoom was all dressed up. "Ugh," He hit himself in the forehead. "You shouldn't encourage him. He gets a new one true love every fucking week."
She giggled. "But it's so cute."
"Sure... cute..." He grumbled disgustedly before leaning down, taking off the ribbons and bows, stuffing them in her hands. "Save it for someone who fucking cares."

He grabbed Houndoom by the horn. "Come on you, we have a match to win." He started to drag him off, the dog trying to resist only to cause scratches in the wood paneling. Terra gave a growl though and the devil dog was suddenly following much more obediently, wise against angering him further. The two were just heading for the exit when he heard some yelling unlike the rest.

"Damn it!" A blue-haired woman snapped to a wet girl in a muffin dress, looking positively unhappy. "We were so close too!" She waved her arms in the air before pacing back and forth, muttering some things under her breath too low for anyone to hear except for maybe Venita. It was no wonder it was the latter of the two who was in the contest. The bluette looked more suited for a tough contest - maybe beauty if she could control her temper.

Terra hesitated, then finally sighed, dragging Houndoom with him as he came over. As he got closer he could hear the woman muttering Lapras and something about a Haunter but he didn't really catch much else. He cleared his throat catching both of the girls attention, making the elder jump and look a little frantic as if afraid she was overheard.

He looked between them before sighing again and turning to Venita. Wow ....she was a lot prettier close up. He visibly fumbled a bit, trying to find the right words. "Erm... I just wanted to say sorry about... Houndoom ruining your skit. It was uh... really good? And I'm uh sure you would have won..."
He looked down at Houndoom, giving him a vicious glare that said 'You better fucking apologize now or ELSE'. The hell hound panicked and whined looking at the blonde in shame and bowed his head.

Axel clapped with the rest of the crowd but when he saw the next Pokemon, he frowned and the clapping slowly stopped. He had a bad encounter with a Sharpedo once...

"Yea! You're doing great! You're going to be the best Vaporeon ever!" The preteen redhead called as he waved to the Eevee that was swimming in the shallows of the beach.
"EEE!" The little dog cried happily as she swam around, doggy paddling over the cloysters.

The redhead sat down on the sand, smiling as he took in the heat of the sun. It wasn't more than five minutes that his green eyes weren't on the eevee when all of a sudden.
"VEEEEEEEEE!!!" A horrible cry came from the ocean and the redhead shot up, seeing a fin sticking out of the water and coming right to the panicked dog.

"EEVEE!" The boy called as he rushed to the shore, his legs not moving fas enough.
The Sharpedo was coming in faster, its mouth open wide to swallow the poor dog in one gulp... until a beach ball hit it.
"PEEEEDO!" The angry shark growled as it hit the ball away, giving the redhead enough time to scoop up the eevee and rush to safety. He panted and looked back, seeing the red eyes pierce through him before he rush off the beach and into the woods.

He swallowed and shook his head, his Ninetails calling out to the Absol that so bravely was going up against the shark.
"NINETAILS!" She called, whimpering some as her red eyes narrowed at the shark.

Saix only grinned as he saw the absol.
"Alright Scar! Show this Pokemon out with Skull Bash!"
"STAAAAAAAAAAR!" The sharp snapped its jaws some more before lowering it's head... then shot out towards Absol at amazing speed.


Ventus growled as he was pulled away from the director by the hands of his caring partner.
CARING!? FUCK THAT!
His blue eyes darkened under his running make up as he plopped the stupid Pokemon down, trying to block the cries from the girls.

He rolled his eyes though as he heard Aqua saying something about how he should of called his Haunter to eat that Houndoom's soul and what not and now they weren't getting that ugly purple whale and---
His eyes widened as he saw the man walking up who owned the hell hound.

The water had drenched him as well, making his shirt tight and...
He looked away, blush running over his cheeks.
Was he...?

He bit his lip as the guy started to talk, trying to look sweet as possible before smiling shakily. He reached out and patted the dog before looking up at the brunette, his blush easily seen. "I-it's alright..."

[Reno]

Absol smiled a little, hearing Ninetails above the crowd and, had he had the chance, he would of looked for her. But he had no time for distractions, his eyes only on the battle.

At the call of the attack Absol tensed, getting ready to listen to his masters orders - but the sudden speed shocked both of the, "Sol?!"
It's fast! Roxas thought frantically. "Dodge it!"

Absol's legs tensed and he moved left - but he wasn't quick enough. He gave a bark of pain as his legs were hit and he went flying through the air, smacking back into the ice hard.

"Oh it look like that skull bash hit hard folks sending Absol flying and unfortunately for him and his trainer this battlefield isn't exactly the most forgiving for impact!"
"Jool..." Jolteon whined sadly as the attack connected and Sora winced making a soft hissing noise. That look like it hurt. Stay calm Roxas...

"Absol!" Roxas cried, his eyes wide with panic. It lessened some as his Pokemon raised its head, shaking it as it shaking water from his ears, and got back to his feet. Absol knew how to take pain, sadly. That speed was going to be a problem though.

The wolfen dog growled as he looked towards the shark, looking none too happy about being attacked like that.
"Absol get to higher ground!"
The dog nodded and quickly scaled up one of the ice rocks until he was looking down at Scar.
"Razor wind!"
The scythe on Absol's head glowed white and he tossed it, several slices of white energy came flashing down onto the shark, making a soft zinging noise.


Terra couldn't help but blush as well, though his was much less pronounced as he stared at the other and even with her make-up running, her dress limp and her once curly hair a mess she still outshone every girl here - including his rather attractive make-up artist. He smiled easily, a little more confidant and suave. He'd never met a girl who made him act like this before. "Well I hope they let you try again. Hell you don't even need to compete, you outshine ever other fucking princess here." Both of them were dutifully ignoring the gagging noises Aqua was making.

Houndoom blinked as he was pet tail wagging happily. Usually females were a little more uneasy around him - okay all females had been except for the one who had dress him up and this one. It was no wonder his poor master always acted like he had a Sudowoodo stuck up his ass, he wouldn't have a chance in hell to find a mate with him around.

However the dog blinked, getting a real whiff of the 'girl'. "How...?" He looked up at 'Venita' peculiarly, tilting his head. He smelt... testosterone. Terra nor Ven noticed - but Aqua did.
"Okay, okay!" She snapped cutting in the middle of the two and wheeling Terra around, pushing him towards the exit. "We have a lot of work to do and no time to lolligag! Come back later or something if you wanna gawk at girls!"
"Uh, o-okay." Terra stuttered in surprise looking over his shoulder back towards the blonde who was watching and smiled. "I'll see you around, Venita."
Houndoom, having no choice, ran after, but as he did they passed the rosy-haired man and his damp Delcatty. "How!" The dog barked in greeting to the cat.

It was pretty much in stone before it happened. With that speed and the few seconds that Roxas was off for calling out an order, everyone knew what was going to happen. And it did.

"NIIIIIIIIIINE!" The Ninetails called, almost jumping out of Axel's lap. "Hey girl! Calm down..." The redhead wrapped his arms around her and rubbed her fur, calming her down a little. She whimpered as her ears fell back, her tails having a hard time stay still as scarves.

A grin ran over the bluette's lips as he watched his fast Pokemon smash into the white. That'll teach him to make his pokemon look like a fool. The Lunatone continued to float next to her master's side. "Luuuune"
"Scar! Dodge it and get up there!"
"PEEEEDO!" The shark swiftly dodged the razor energy quickly almost too quick for the eyes to see as she raced up the snow bank that was against the ice rock to get to Absol.

A shiver ran down Axel's spine as he saw the Sharpedo dodge the attack like it was something it did all day. He knew that these pokemon had high attack ratings and speed... and even if he was confident in Roxas... he was very worried about the Absol.

Just as the shark got to the top, it seemed to fly up and above the white pokemon.
"Scar, use Water Pulse!"
As quick as the attack was told, the shark opened her huge jaw and three pulses of water rings shot down at the disaster pokemon. "SHAAAAAAAAAR!"


Venita blinked as she listened to the brunette and blushed more as she looked down and played with her fingers in a shy manner. "Y-you really think so?" She asked in a soft, sweet voice. Before the brunette could confirm, his eyes widened as he saw his partner turn him around and push him to the exit.

He watched, his eyes wide and hopeful as he caught Terra's glance back. "B-bye..." He squeaked out as he waved slightly.

"NEVER IN 10 YEARS HAS THIS EVER HAPPENED! I though something like this couldn't happen at a cute contest!" The rosy-haired man complained to the director as he squeezed water from his hair.
"I'm really sorry about this Marly but..." She stopped when she looked pass him at the woman kicking the man out the back door.

The Delcatty was shaking the water off her before she heard a call from a familiar dog. She looked up and smiled slightly. "Catty!" She called back with a meow but that was as far as she could go before her master scooped her up once more. "Don't you dare interact with that mutt, Buchies! He's no good for you!"

When all was said and done, the director went out into the lobby where the girls were crowded. "Alright girls, we are very sorry about what has happened but we cannot take the responsibility of this freak accident. We will be cleaning up the theater the best we can for tomorrow's performance so please go back to your rooms and homes to get into dry clothes, you don't wan to catch a cold!"

Backstage, some girls were sniffling as they had to get changed... and for once... Ventus slowly wondered if he already knew why he didn't get embarrassed being around girls who were taking off all their clothes except for their cute bras and undies.

Was he....gay?

He shook his head as he looked up at Aqua who was coming over, seeing a smirk over her face.
Oh great... here it comes.

[Reno]

"Come on Rox..." Sora whispered, one hand letting go of Jolteon to reach up and curl around his crown necklace as he watched the battle progress. Absol seemed okay even after that hit and he knew trying to get to higher ground was a good idea seeing that Sharpedo should have a harder time reaching him.

How wrong he was.

He cursed, not understanding how the shark could be so fast without water!

"Ab?!" Absol cried in surprise again as his attack was dodged. He grit his teeth, growling and looked up as the Shark was suddenly flying overhead, launching another attack.
Roxas heart was beating quickly, knowing that his poor Absol was in trouble as the fast shark went overhead. Like Sora he just couldn't understand how the shark was able to move so easily on top of ice.
"Use double team!!" He yelled.
"Ab!" The other glowed momentarily, and suddenly around the field about seven identical Absols appeared to the one on the rock. The water attack hit that Absol, but when it cleared nothing was left at all.
Roxas watched the Shark falling - it couldn't dodge airborne! "Dark pulse hurry!!"
Another Absol growled now on a rock in the middle of the field and opened its mouth, aiming for the shark, letting lose a stream of dark purple energy with waving black rings that flew across the field for the shark.


Houndoom smiled as he was given one as well, his tail wagging. however it fell sadly as she was picked up by her nosy trainer. He whimpered softly but continued on his way out. for now he;d leave it be but he still had a chance and he wasn;t going to let it go! Maybe tonight...

Yeah! He was a hound! He would track her down if it was the last thing he did!

Terra blinked as he was thrown out of the room and he glanced back. "H-Hey wait when-"
"Never. Pervert." Aqua said with gritted teeth before she slammed the door in his face. She sighed - that was a close one! That Hound almost gave them away. Damn dogs and their incredibly keen sense of smell. She hated dogs.

She turned around though and grinned realized things were about to get fun - for her that was. Torturing Venny time.

Terra blinked as he was outside and he smiled and sighed, thinking of her voice and face again. Then he blinked. "Shit!" He looked down at Houndoom. "Well great now you're not the only one love-struck."

The dog looked up and smiled, tongue lolling out. "Hound!"
"Oh don't look so smug. Come on we need to get back to the stadium!" He turned and hurried off down the street, his partner running right after.

But in the back of his mind he couldn't help be memorized by the fact that... he was actually straight?

The shark growled as her attack hit a decoy instead of the real deal... and now she was soaring right for the snow below... or so she thought. In the matter of minutes, a pulse of dark energy was shooting up at her.
"SCAR! DODGE!"

Yea, that wasn't happening...

The red eyes widened as she wobbled in the air but it was too late. She was hit on her side and went soaring across the arena. "PEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDO!"
The large shark hit a snow bank and was buried under her weight.

"ALRIGHT!" Axel called, Ninetails yipping happily.

It didn't take long for the crowd to stop their clapping as a very angry shark pulled herself from the snow and shook it off her before flapping her fins and floating once more. Those red eyes pierced through the Absol's. "SHAAAAAR!"
"Scar! Hurry and use Skull Bash again!"

The shark lowered her head before shooting towards the Absol once more.
"Wow, what a persistent Pokemon..." The redhead frowned.


Ven sighed as he just sat down in the nearest chair and listened to all the crap Aqua was dealing out to him. He rolled his eyes a few times, bitched when his cheeks were pinched and pulled and snapped when Terra was brought up.
"HEY! Listen bi---" He cut himself short as the director walked over.

"I'm so sorry about what happened, Venita. I knew I should of asked the security to find that Houndoom before the show started but I NEVER thought something like this was going to happen!" She shook her head and smiled though. "But that's alright. Seeing that you did your skit and your votes were cast, you don't have to do the skit over again! I received Marly's vote and he gave you a 9.0 so your score is 28.2!"

A 9.0!? The fuck---

With a sigh, the girl smiled and giggled. "Yay!"
"Alright now, you can head back to your room and get dressed. We'll see you tomorrow cutie!"

[Reno]

Sora's eyes narrowed not as excited even as he saw the shark fall. It was only one attack - it was far from over.
Jolteon's ears fell as the shark screeched, the sound nearly deafening. Underwater Pokemon had a tendency to have this echo-like voice that wasn't exactly meant for animal ears.

Absol watched the shark get back up after that attack, growling angrily. He looked across the way towards his trainer before he heard the attack and looked at the shark that was coming for him, his muscles tensing.

Roxas grit his teeth, "Razor wind towards the ice!"
Absol's scythe growled again and he gave a fierce toss of his head. The sickles of white energy flashed through the air and smacked into the ice in the shark's path creating large breaks in the ice. He knew what his master was doing - trying to slow the shark down maybe even trap it so he was doing his best to give it his all.


Aqua's eyes narrowed as the director walked away and scoffed. "28.2. I GUESS that's not bad." She glared at the blond. "If that stupid dog didn't come on and mess everything up, he probably would of given you a better score. Now you'll have to be extra good tomorrow." No doubt he gave a bad one because he was in a sour mood now.

She kicked Ven's chair. "Get your ass up we're done here for today."

[Rikugurl]

aix growled as he saw the breaks in the ice. Even if Sharpedo wasn't on the ground per say, it would still damage her flight across it. "Scar! Jump over those cracks!"
"SHAAAAR!" The Sharpedo cried as she did her best, watching the crack form.

At the second to last one, she did herself in. The ice had cracks from a powerful swing and when she jumped, her anal fin caught to a snag of ice and due to her speed, she was flung down into the canyon it made. The crowd gasped as they saw the large shark fall between the eyes and tried to see if they could see her somehow.

The announcer started to speak as Axel stood a bit and frowned as he saw her shadow in the ice. She didn't seem very happy.

"SCAR!" The bluette called as he stood over the bars, trying desperately to see where his pokemon had gone. "Come on! Get out of there! Bash your way out!"
"SHAAAAAAR!" The angry pokemon called before she reared her head and slammed into the ice... but it didn't budge. "PEDO!" Another slam. Still nothing. With growls and constant noises of her slamming into the ice, the shark started to get desperate... and worn out.


Ven growled as he crossed his arms and closed his eyes, thinking about the total. He, unlike Aqua, didn't think the dog had anything to do with his score. He knew that his skit wasn't that great. He just looked cute and sang a song. No talent or anything was needed for that. He was guessing this Marly guy was a tough judge... and picky as hell.

His eyes snapped opened and he growled more as his eyes narrowed at Aqua. He would of snapped back but he was still in his cute mode. With a sigh, he grabbed his painted over Rocket ball and slammed it down into spinda.
"SPI---" The pokemon flailed before he was sucked into the pokeball.

"Yea... let's go..." He said quietly before they were out the back door.... the same door Aqua had kicked Terra out of. When they stepped out, the blue eyes searched around... but the brunette and the disaster dog was gone.

[Reno]

"Well folks it seems Sharpedo's been trapped in that ice and no matter how much she thrashes it doesn't appear she's getting out anytime soon."

Sora leaned forward in his seat while Axel stood, frowning as he didn't see much at all. His eyes widened at Saix's order and shook his head. "She could cause a cave in on herself if she does that!!"

Absol watched quietly from his rock, sitting down, knowing he had won. He looked across the way towards his trainer once more. "Ab?"
"Go help her!" Roxas ordered before he quietly looking down towards the desperate shark and sighed, looking over towards Saix. "Recall her! She's going to hurt herself!"

Absol, listening to his trainer jumped from the rock and after carefully gaining his balance he ran over towards the crack. "Absol! Sol!" He yelled down, his voice echoing, trying to calm her. If anything it made her more fierce and the dog growled doing his best not the be overcome by the shaking in the ice that her skull bashes were creating. He ran around the crack a few times, inspecting it. How was he supposed to free her?


Aqua glanced back, seeing Ven's forlorn gaze and rolled her eyes. "Come on you." She grabbed him by the ear and dragged him off. "I don't know what you see in him, he was ugly as hell." She snapped unhappily.

Almost as if she were... jealous.


As for Terra himself he was gone. Already at the stadium the brunette sped up the stairs to the bleachers, coming out into the stadium on the upraised platform. He and Houndoom came to a pause and the brunette raised an eyebrow as the curious scene. "What.... in the world?"

His dog tilted his head as well, watching Absol running around a crack like he was trying to find a way into it. He grinned some, hoping the dog did fall in and never got out!
