The Tale of Seven

[Reno]

Aqua was laughing as well, getting a good kick out of the ridiculous scene.

Terra's eyebrow raised when he saw the attack and heard the squeaks bowing his head, shoulders shaking. "God what the hell is this?!" The battle went from intense to hilarious!!

Beside Axel Roxas was just as quiet, biting his lip. Something seemed ominous here...

"This seems more like a game then anything folks as Staraptor tries and tried to break the substitute!"


Sora was watching intensely as well, his fingers curled around the bars of his gate, knuckles white both as an attempt to keep himself composed and just because he knew... he KNEW something bad was going to happen when that substitute broke. It made him angry in a way because he knew he was walking right into the trap and Staraptor was probably going to get hurt... "Come on..."

Jolteon's ears flattened, making a whimpering whine of a noise, sensing his master's distress and worry. His ears rose though when he heard the pop.

Sora heard it too and reacted instantly. "Steel wing!!"

Staraptor trilled in surprise as the Pokemon appeared with a pop, almost missing the call of her trainer. Her wings glowed as she tried to draw them around her but her reaction was slow, she was tired and her size was a lot less than Hariyama's large hand. The glowing hand hit half of her wing and half of her body and sent her flying backwards through the air, rolling like a ball. "Staaar!"

"Aerial Ace!" She heard the yell. She forced her wings to open and corrected herself by twisting in the air and doing a little flip. It put her low with the ground, her wings making her soar forward.

Sora's eyes narrowed seeing how uncertain and wobbly her flight was and cursed. Even though steel wing had protected part of her and halved the damage... she must of been poisoned. But then he noticed a little bit of something else following behind his bird and grinned. It was time to give Hariyama a bit of a crutch as well.

"Staraptor go as quick as you can and pull up! Go over Hariyama!"
"Raptor!" She did as he asked swooping over the fighting Pokemon's head. In her wake a brown and black cloud of dust and ash had risen behind her furious flight and hit Hariyama full force. The ash of course was the charred ground that Raichu had left behind when it had attacked.

Staraptor flew overhead, circling like a vulture as she looked down at the dust cloud. She winced falling a few feet when the sharp pain of the poison hit before catching herself, flapping hard to keep her aloft.

Axel made a fist in Ninetail's fur as he saw the quick attack. How sneaky! He would of called it unfair... but it was just a crud strategy. It was along the guidelines... so there wasn't much to do but hope that Staraptor was ok... but in moments after the attack, he could see that she wasn't. "Come on, Staraptor!" He cried out but knew that being exhausted and poisoned, her chances were looking slim.


"AH! THAT DIRTY FUCK!" A blonde growled and people around him looked at him with wide eyes.
He glanced around then fluttered his eyes. "I mean,"his sweet voice arose, "That was a naughty trick!"
"Spiiiiinda~~~"


"UMBREON!" The black fox cried as he watched the attack, his ears twitching a bit as he saw the poison take affect. That's what they got from laughing at Yama!

The large sumo wrestler stomped his foot on the ground as the bird flew off. "HIRA!" He grunted before his eyes caught the bird flying over head. Where was she---
"HIR-HIR-HIRA!" The large Pokemon cried as ashes and dust flew around him, getting into his eyes and blinding him. He rubbed them as his feet pounded on the ground.

The hooded man growled as his fist clenched but his eyes glowed once more, calming his Pokemon down. Even if Hirayama couldn't see Staraptor.... he could.
Rocks around the arena were picked up once more as the Pokemon blindly reached out his hands. They were the broken and smaller rocks that had been thrown before. Now that they were smaller, they would be quicker and more in volume.

"YAMA!" He called as he threw his arm towards the direction his master had told him too, the rocks heading straight for the poisoned bird.

[Reno]

Roxas growled angrily. "Damn him!" He was starting to get the urge to go down there and punch this hooded bastard's lights out!!

"Hmm...." Terra hummed softly in curiosity, leaning over and cupping his chins in his hands, watching the battle as close as he could. Staraptor's speed had fallen thanks to the poison and they were both at a disadvantage now that Hariyama was blinded. He wondered what would happen now.

Aqua blinked, as suddenly everyone around her looked surprised by her male counterpart's explosive yell. Then she looked at him and remembered why.
"I mean... that was a dirty trick!"
Aqua put a hand over her mouth tears forming at the corners of her eyes as she tried to hold in her laughter. She got a kick in the shin. "Ow!"


Sora was looking towards the sky, seeing his struggling friend, then he glanced at Hariyama, noticing how angry the other was now that he was blind. But he saw Gethin's eyes glow and slowly the Pokemon relaxed... and started to try another rock slide. In the background he could hear the announce still narrating everything. He saw the rocks flying upwards towards the sky... towards Staraptor.

She wasn't going to be fast enough to dodge anymore and she probably didn't have enough power to use many more attacks. And with the rocks so small now it'd be easier to hit her body.

Sora frowned but nodded. "Staraptor! Dive!"

"Raptor!" Was the crying agreement and she fell from the sky her wings drawn in, flying straight for the rocks!
"Whats he doing?!" Roxas panicked. Was he trying to kill Staraptor?!

Wait for it.... Wait for it... Sora's eyes narrowed. "Brave Bird!"

"Staaaaaaaaar!" Came the whistling cry as suddenly the bird was encased in flames, leading once to think it was a fire attack. As she met the rocks though, the flames faded and suddenly she was covered in a blue aura. She ran into the rocks and to the crowd's surprise the rocks broke or were pushed away from her and broke a straight path down. The bird went flying faster with each second she fell until she collided with Hariyama.
"RAPTOR!"
The force of the impact shattered the ground around them, making it break apart or rise just like Hariyama's earthquake had and rose up dust once more.

Axel glanced at the blonde next to him and smiled. "Don't worry, I'm sure Sora has something up his sleeve. If not, he still has one Pokemon, right?" Axel wasn't one to push Pokemon... he knew better and of course being a part of the Rescue Center, he learned never to try... unless the Pokemon wanted to.

He could tell that Sora's Pokemon had the same will as him... so this battle might not be over as soon as it looked.


Ven's eyes darkened as he looked over, seeing the water around Aqua's eyes before kicking her and murmuring under his tongue. He quickly snapped up and smiled cutely so everyone would stop staring at him.. but the battle did that for him quite well.


Gethin looked up as he watched the bird go into flames and watched where she was going.
Right towards the blonde fighter.
Blue eyes glowed and instead of fleeing... due to his massive sizes and weight, Hariyama beared down and tightened all his muscles. "Yama..." He grunted before he was hit full force.

Dust and rocks rose from the impact, the two Pokemon disappearing from sight. The crowd went silent as the dust started to clear, everyone squinting to see if they could make out anything.

Hariyama's muscles had tightened so hard that hitting him would be like hitting a wall... and that's what the bird had done. A shake from the fighter's head made some pebbles fall off as he walked backwards a bit but fell down onto his bottom, a loud smash being heard and the ground shook once more.

A dusk ball was pulled out and the large Pokemon was called back, as was the one who belonged to the trainer on the other side of the stage.

[Reno]

Sora grit his teeth as the dust cleared, and his eyes saddened a little to see Staraptor on the ground, swirls in her eyes. But he smiled when he saw Hariyama fall as well. It wasn't knocked out but Gethin recalled it anyways. She had battled well.

He recalled his bird as well smiling down at it, hearing the judge calling them both out and two dings, signifying they had both lost one more. "Great job Star. Take a long rest and I'll get you to a center soon." He gave a kiss to the Pokeball before returning it to his belt, looking across the way at the hooded man.

"Now both trainers only have one Pokemon to choose from!" The announcer was saying before Sora let his voice fade in the background again.

"Jolt Jolt!!!" His fox growled, scratching his paws at his pant leg.
Sora looked down and finally smiled and nodded. "Alright, Alright." He kneeled down and held out a hand and obediently was given the other's left paw. Carefully he removed the crown bracelet around his leg and nodded. "Go and get him!"

"Jolteon!" The fox said before worming his way through the bars and landed on the ground, taking a few steps onto the stage. He stared across towards Gethin and growled angrily, showing all his teeth.

Sora smiled fondly. Jolteon was the only Pokemon he had who didn't just protect him from physical harms but emotional ones as well. And though Gethin's rejection was only slight, his fox had sensed it and he wouldn't take that sitting down! "Stay calm Jolt."
The fox glanced back but nodded.

"And Sora has chosen Jolteon, the lightning Pokemon! It's fur is made up of very sharp needles that can be over-charged with electricity when pushed!"


"Yeah go Jolteon!!" Roxas cheered.
Terra sighed and shook his head, betting Gethin would chose something bigger. Didn't Sora have any Pokemon bigger then three feet tall or did he just not want any of them to be taller than him?


Aqua sighed beside Ven and tilted her head as Gething started to make his choice. "Let's see if he gets lucky."

[Rikugurl]

"See, I knew that bird was shitty..." Ventus grumbled under his breath. "If Hariyama didn't fall back on his butt, he so could of kept fighting... not saying that my brother should lose though!" He added quickly before looking down, smiling as Jolteon got on stage.

The crowd also went wild as the lovable Eevee evolution came onto stage.

The redhead smiled as he saw the yellow fox as so did Ninetails. "Tails!" She cried happily, hoping her new friend could hear over the roar of the crowd.
"Yea, your brother is definitely going to win now!"


Gethin didn't react much as he saw the Jolteon run on stage... or even growl at him.
This wouldn't be the first Pokemon to do that but suddenly his eyes did glow for a moment.
Don't worry... just do your very best.

Another dusk ball was thrown, this time releasing something SO heavy that it buckled the stage and instantly crushed all the rocks it formed over. "META!" The chosen Pokemon's sharp eyes looked out at the Jolteon, the red glowing with battling interests.

[Reno]

Aqua glanced over at Ven seeing him grumbling and talking down the poor bird Pokemon. She smirked and reached under her jacket and there was a burst of light. She held up the smooth red and blue duck with swirly yellow eyes. "PORY, POOOOORRRY!" It screeched loudly in Ven's ear.

"Yeah there's no way Jolteon will let him win!" Roxas said with a smirk, practically seeing from here how much distaste the Pokemon held for the man. Even as an Eevee though, the Pokemon had been like that. fiercely protective of the other two Eevees, his and Ven's, and then of Sora.
"I wouldn't be too sure of that." Terra said softly as the hooded man made his choice and they all felt the shake even up there. He knew it.

"Absol." The wolf rolled his eyes and looked away from the annoying fox that had no tail - only to get glared at by another with many. "Aaaa...." He looked to the field. "Absol Ab!!"

Beside Terra, Houndoom started to snicker at the very whipped Pokemon.


Jolteon continued to glare and growl at Gethin - until he felt the soothing voice in his mind. His ears perked and he tilted his head in confusion. "Jol...?"
Sora blinked as he was placing the bracelet in his pocket, noticing the other's reaction. "Hey what's wrong?"

The fox glanced back, his ears falling a little. "Eon..." Before looking back towards Gethin, silent.
Sora frowned, but didn't have time to ponder when suddenly their opponent was revealed. He stumbled a bit, catching the railing so as not to fall over. Jolteon had a much easier time, keeping his legs locked as the large Pokemon appeared.

"And Gethin's final choice is Metagross! This dual steel and psychic Pokemon has an incredible mass, intelligence and attack power!"

"Sora's dead." Terra said with a sigh.
"Don't say that!" Roxas snapped.

Sora sighed and straightened himself, looking at the large and heavyset Pokemon. Oh boy, what a choice!! This has to be the highest weight difference so far. Even still he smiled.

"Ready Jolteon?"
"Teon!" The fox barked, its spikes starting to stick up.
"Great! Use Agility!" He whistled then, three short and sharp bursts. Jolteon did start to run forward, being the faster of the eeveelutions was able to pick up its speed fairly quickly. He was closing the distance between him and Metagross quickly. "Thundershock!" Then another whistle, two sharp sounds. Jolteon suddenly took a left and disappeared under the shadows of the trees.

[Rikugurl]

Ven watched and flailed a bit as he could feel the weight of the Pokemon. "Holy SHIIIIIIIIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIE!" The girl cried as she jumped out of her seat, making everyone look at her again as her... Pokemon went flying through the air. "SPIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINDA!" The poor rabbit-panda like Pokemon went soaring over the heads of viewers.

When he finally did land... it was a soft one, seeing that he happened to land on.....a certain pink thing.
"SKIIIIIIIII!!" A small kitten looked up as she heard something coming her way and before she could move to safety, the flying pokemon fell right on top of her. Her legs gave out as swirls took over her eyes, looking much like the one on top of her.

"Spinda?" The rabbit got up and teetered around a bit before walking back in the direction of his master, leaving Skitty knocked out on the floor as if he didn't even see her. "Spindaaaa~~~"

Ven growled as he looked at Aqua and that annoying fucking Porygon of hers.
"Miss?"
"WHAT!?" Ven snapped at the man sitting next to him.
"Uh... aren't you going to go find your Spinda?"
"What!? Fuck no! That stupid, piece of shi---------" His eyes widened as he covered his mouth and giggled nervously. "Hehehehe, just kidding~~" He winked before skipping off down the isle.

When he turned and sigh, he saw his dizzy looking Pokemon walking his way. Shortening the distance, Ventus stomped over and grabbed the poor thing by the ear. "Come on!"
"SPIIIII!!"
He pulled up the bear and held it close as he went back to his seat, clenching his teeth.
Need. to. get. out. of. this. dress.


Axel frowned as he looked at the mystery figured Pokemon. What an array of types. All three he chose were different... which he supposed was a good thing. How couldn't help but feel like there was a far distance between Gethin's Pokemon and him. But maybe... he was wrong. Maybe whatever he was telling his Pokemon in his head was as hopeful as any other trainer.

Maybe he was just mute?


If Axel was even close to Gethin as Jolteon started to move, he would of changed his thought real quick. The hooded figure spoke quietly to himself...
"That whistle..."
The black fox looked up and frowned as well "Umbreon!"

Don't listen to the trainer, Metagross. Keep your eye on that Jolteon instead.

Red eyes quickly darted as the Jolteon turned and disappeared into the woods that weren't touched by Hariyama.
His eyes glowed as his trainer spoke to him more, one of his four arms glowing before he slammed it into the ground. It sent a wave of energy out, making tree get uprooted and start to fall from the force.

[Reno]

Aqua fell into a round of chuckles nearly falling out of her seat as her partner freaked out and THREW his poor bunny-bear into the air. She set her Porygon Z on her arm rest watching it balance on its tail and flap around so it was going around in circles, its unattached head bouncing around on its neck. "Por, Por, Por! Zeeee!" It said in a metallic-like voice, making the bluette smirk even more.

Out of all of her Pokemon, this was the one who quickly drew on her nerves but it was okay in short doses. Besides, it pissed Ven off just as much - if not MORE than herself. And that was worth it.

She looked up as Ven rejoined her and she smiled sweetly even as her Porygon started to dance on her arm, doing little hops until it was on her shoulder. "Have a fun trip?"


Sora's eyes narrowed, seeing that Metagross wasn't surprised like Seviper had been. Not surprising. Gethin knew his tactic, so naturally he was telling his Pokemon to ignore his words.

Sabrina had figured that much out as well. He looked towards the woods, the yellow coat of his Pokemon appearing every now and again through the lights of the trees. He saw some falling and took the chance. He whistled, low and light before it rose high and loud.

Jolteon stumbled from the shaking earth but quickly found his balance, ears perked and he rushed around a falling tree before jumping and running up the length of it, before giving a mighty jump and landed on another, more stable tree. Like Raichu had, he jumped from branch to branch until he landed on the ground, closer to Metagross. Another whistle, broke into little spikes of sound.

"Joool!" Its coat shined and then the spikes on its fur seemed to sharpen and yellow needles flew out, hitting against the metal frame of the Metagross. A Pin Missle attack.

[Rikugurl]

"Shut up." The boy growled as he kept his eyes away from that retarded bird like thing. He wished Haunter was out just so he could lick the bitch and shut her up. When he did look away, he was looking at the arena. Where had Jolteon go?

That question was answered quickly as he saw Gethin's Pokemon making trees fall down in the forest that was left. He leaned in and frowned, not being able to see the yellow dog anywhere but he knew Sora had everything under control now that he was able to use the whistles.

This Gethin guy didn't have a chance!


Red eyes dash, looking through the forest. Its four brains worked hard and was able to spot the fast Pokemon with ease. "MEGROSS!" The genderless pokemon moved as its eyes tried to keep up with Jolteon, the weight of its legs crushed the ground it stepped on.

When the lightning pokemon showed itself, the red eyes turned blue and suddenly Metagross jumped, its legs pulling back into its body and flew off, dodging the attack. While it spun, it flew around the Jolteon high and smashed into more trees, knocking them down towards the fox.

Its eyes glowed blue again before it opened the mouth in it's stomach, a bright light forming in it before it was blasted out towards the escaping Jolteon.

[Reno]

She just chuckled, letting her Porygon dance on her head before turning back to the battle, noticing she had missing some of it but not really caring either way. They wouldn't be able to steal from the telepathic and she wasn't allowed to steal from Sora so really watching the battle and gauging the Pokemon was pretty useless.

Well except for the fun of it of course.


"Jol!" Cried the fox in surprise as his attack missed and the bulky Pokemon was suddenly spinning like a top around him. His eyes widened just a fraction as the trees started to snap and fall and, listening to his master's whistles, started to escape from the trees.

He jumped and ran under plenty his path rarely being stopped by one of the falling trees.

Sora's eyes darted to watch Metagross and saw the attack forming. He grit his teeth, noticing Jolteon wouldn't have enough time to get away. He whistled loud and brilliant, and Jolteon suddenly slid on his paws to about-face and his spikes stood up and suddenly sparked. "JOOOLT!" The fox was encased in yellow electricity that shot up and clashed with Metagross' flash cannon. Thunderbolt.

[Rikugurl]

The crowd cheered as they saw the two attacks clash, exploding to make a huge noise across the arena.
"UUmbreon!" The black fox growled as his ears went flat, trying to block the horrible noise.

The explosion sent the Metagross back into the forest, its heavy legs finding a branch. Its claws dug into the wood, making him cling to it tightly and just let it fall onto the ground.
Dust shot up around the forest, trees all over and rocks thrown about.

While it was starting to clear, blue eyes flashed from the hooded man and in the matter of seconds, the heavy Pokemon was seen coming out into the clear, its X down the middle of his face starting to glow.
"META!" It called before he used Confusion.

[Reno]

The explosion sent Jolteon on it's feet and flying backwards started for parts of the forest that had yet to fall. "Jolteeee!"

"Jolteon! Watch it!" Its tightly shut eyes snapped open though and he curled in the air doing a flip. His paws landed hard on a trunk of a tree, feeling some of the bark snap under him. He braced his legs and jumped from that trunk to another, down a little farther, before jumping again and landing on the ground. It shook its head and its spikes shot back up and was, for the most part, unscratched.

He barely had time to really gain his bearings though, when abruptly there was more crackings in the trees and Metagross reappeared. Jolteon looked up, growling as the other started to glow.
"Jolt go south!"

The fox barked and turned around, racing into what was left of the trees behind him until he burst into a small clearing on the other side, his paws slipping a few inches in the suddenly very soft ground.

[Rikugurl]

Gethin growled as he saw the fox run off. Umbreon wasn't impressed much either. He didn't think his brother was one to run... or at least not what he had remembered. Though... they were so small when they were separated...

Blue eyes glowed nonetheless. The heavy pokemon pushed off the tree, tucking its legs in and started to soar though the trees after Jolteon. Metagross were known to be brutal predators so seeing one go after it's 'prey' so quickly and destructively. It did shock the crowd that the heavy Pokemon didn't seem to care as it smashed into trees, knocking them down as it flew into them.

When it came to the clearing, its arms popped out once more, all four of them glowing brightly. "MEGROSS!" Its two front arms slammed down at the fox, its weight making it fall quickly.

[Reno]

Things weren't always as they appeared.

Jolteon heard the smashing behind him and glanced back, ears and spikes raising in alarm.
"Keep going Jolt!!"
The fox nodded and kept going forward, having a hard time going fast because the ground underneath kept sinking.

Sora's eyes narrowed. Just let him follow you Jolteon...

It wasn't long before Metagross had broken through - jeez were the workers here gonna have fun fixing this stage - and Jolteon's ears flattened a little at the loud noises, the area around him trembling just as he reached the spot his master wanted him to be, finding the ground a little more stable at the edge.

He heard it then, the low to high trill of his master's whistle. The lightning fox braced his legs and then jumped high and far, the mud sticking to half-way up his legs suddenly easily seen. He escaped getting hit only by inches.

The noise of Metagross' legs hitting the ground was near deafening and, as he landed, found the ground still shaking under the weight even still and fell onto his stomach, though the impact was strangely... muted.

However, something else happened that surprised the crowd. Metagross' heavy arms had sunk far into the ground because of the soft, squishy ground and had absorbed most of the impact as well. Hidden water just inches in front of the steel Pokemon rose up in response and sprinkled down on the two like rain. Jolteon and Sora... had led him to the marsh.

"NOW!"
Jolteon's coat flared up. "JOLT!!!" A second, incredibly powerful, thunderbolt struck the area finding Metagross fast.
