The Tale of Seven

[Rikugurl]

His brother's cry even startled Ven some as he looked over at Roxas with and frown as well, seeing that he was almost squeezed to death.

He sighed and crossed his arms, feeling Terra wrap his arms around his waist now.
"Well... to be frank... it's not going to be easy at all. You see, the group that we use to work for wasn't just Team Rocket, it was Team Rocket elite station. We were transferred when Giovanni wanted us to go to Victory City for the championship. Unfortunately, being an elite section of the team, they wouldn't give us any new Pokemon. It was there at the Sky Pillar where they held the most rarest of Pokemon in hopes that Rayquaza would come and rescue them."

He sighed, seeing Roxas's gaze darken, knowing he wasn't happy to hear him explain all this. "The guy who runs the elite station is named Rufus and he has a shiny Absol. Under his wing is the Turks."
"Turks?" Axel questioned.
"Yea, it's the name of Team Rocket's uh..... elite four!"
Axel winced as he heard that. A team elite four...? That didn't sound...very good.
"They are the most dangerous members of the team."
Well, confirmed his thoughts...

"They're the ones that actually go out there and...." Ven paused and looked down. "kill....people or Pokemon...."
"You're saying that our stole pokemon are being captive in a place where violent members are!?" Axel cried in fear and Ven could only nod his head.

[Reno]

Sora shifted turned his head, able to hear them as well. An elite...?

Roxas jerked in surprise when he heard about the shiny Absol, his eyes narrowing even more. That poor creature... He could just imagine the things it was going through...

"You think that's bad?" Aqua asked softly, glancing towards Axel's pale face. "The Team Rocket elite... only have one Pokemon each, but they have to be some of the most ruthless and heartless you will ever meet. Rumor has it the members don't even give orders to the Pokemon - they just let them go wild." She glanced around. "It'll be nothing like a normal Pokemon battle, where the trainers and Pokemon will hold back out of respect of one another. You get in the way of an elite's Pokemon and they'll take you down - human or Pokemon they don't care. They'll kill you in a second."

Everyone started lose color at that idea. all of them, being such friends with their Pokemon, found it hard to see any trainer actually forcing their Pokemon to be a killer. Roxas shut his eyes and grimaced, knowing that the training for those Pokemon would of been intense and cruel until the Pokemon were nothing but mindless and aggressive. How could people do such terrible things?

"Pray we can do this fast enough that we don't have to meet them." Aqua finished, about to go back to her land search.

"What kind of Pokemon do they have?" Terra asked darkly, making her hesitate.
"To... be honest anyone who has seen them hasn't lived to tell the tale." Aqua said. She hummed softly, as if she remembered something. "Though... word did get around that one of the Team members had either lost or, more likely, gotten bored with his Pokemon and had taken one of the new captures just a few years ago. Mind you, no one actually knows if this is true or not, but they say he took a Manectric."
Hands dug hard into Riku's body and the body against his started to shake all over.
A blue streak.
Pain.
A scream.
A snarling growl.
Blood red cutting like daggers into him.
"Please... they're my friends..."
More pain.
And then... darkness.

"A... Manectric?" Roxas repeated in surprise, picturing the blue wolfen Pokemon. It was an electric type... maybe that one wouldn't be so bad. His head turned towards Gyarados, expecting to see Sora pissed off as hell - so he was shocked when he saw how terrified he was. A powerful wave of panic was rising in his heart that wasn't his own, almost overwhelming him.
"Sora?!" He called. The minute he heard his name the brunette jerked into attention and the panic left so suddenly it was almost as if he never felt it.
"Huh?" The brunette asked, confused relaxing his grip on the silverette quickly.
...What the hell?! Roxas jerked his head towards Ven. He had seen - no felt - that too, hadn't he?!

...Why did it feel familiar? Like a memory...?

Axel swallowed as he continued to hear about Pokemon who had turned into monsters. He looked down, pulling his legs closer to his chest. What...would he do if they did bump into them.
No, they would. They couldn't just STORM their secret hide out and NOT get confronted by those elite trainers that resided there.

God, he wouldn't even call them trainers... They were monsters too.

"I think... we're going to have to face them... seeing that we're trying to take back our pokemon..." He whispered gloomily but blinked when he heard the blonde close by calling to his brother on the other water type. He looked over, seeing Sora's dazed look and tilted his head.

The hooded teen also looked back in concern when he felt the fingers grip into his chest. "Sora...?" He questioned just as Roxas called up.

Ven stopped shivering suddenly, now feeling that fear....that phantom hurt was gone. He slowly looked up at Sora as well and frowned, knowing that something was wrong.
A Manectric...? Something about this Pokemon scared his big brother to death... and he wanted to find out why...

[Reno]

Terra and Aqua also looked back towards the brunette curiously at Roxas' yell, seeing the eldest brother's pale color.

Sora blinked slowly, noticing everyone was staring at him, and he blushed hotly realizing he had gotten lost in his memories. "It's nothing, I'm fine!" He called, laughing some. "Just uh was... thinking about something?"

Roxas growled at the obvious lie his eyes narrowing on his nervous brother. Behind him Aqua was rolling her eyes, murmuring, "Whatever helps you sleep at night." She saw through it too.

Terra frowned some. He had only know Sora a little while, but even he knew this wasn't normal behavior for the other. He looked down at Ven, raising an eyebrow.

Everyone slowly went to another subject, though they still had that curious concern in the back of their heads for the usually bouncy brunette. Another hour of sailing and Aqua finally called out, unfortunately in a wild blonde's ear, making him start screaming back in complaint and rub his ear and she just ignored him and pointed out.

Everyone looked at the direction she pointed, but the sun was setting and the night fog was starting to thicken, making it hard to see the city in the distance.

Luckily with Riku's guidance through the fog, the lights of a lighthouse and the red glow of a tower, they were able to find their way relatively close.
Unfortunate for them, Riku gave them some unfortunate news. They wouldn't be able to reach the city at this point, knowing that the water around the city's entrance was extremely shallow. Wailord nor Gyarados could swim them the rest of the way.

They would have to camp on the small island right next to the city for the night. Terra complained that they could just fucking walk the rest of the way but Riku took down that idea quickly when he told them of stories about people foolish enough to walk through the shallow fog at night.
Some people didn't return and all that was left of evidence that they disappeared was the blood on the rocks.
Sharpedo lurked in the close deep ends, waiting for prey to be stupid enough not to see them coming.

The island it was.

The group landed and quickly made camp around a fire, eating some cooked Magikrap. They weren't able to catch as many, probably due to the large fishery that fed the city. Two shared a fish and Aqua was able to get a whole one.
They quickly got into their respected bags, Aqua in her pink and fell asleep in the oddly warm fog.


In the morning, the group once again didn't decide to eat, being so close to a city anyway. However, Axel did have his coffee but made sure not to snap at anyone when they tried to talk to him.

They said their good-byes to the Gyarados and Wailord for the day as the group started down the shallow waters, only coming up to their ankles as the sunny sky beat down on them and Wingulls flew up above.

Ven looked at the city as they walked to the entrance, his eyes on something HUGE. A rocket...

[Reno]

By morning it seemed everyone had forgotten the incident the day before on the sea. Especially since the bouncy brunette was acting just as bouncy as before, kicking up his feet in the shallows so a little stream would flow out in front of him, glittering in the sunlight. Beside him Jolteon would laugh and hop beside him, splashes of water jumping up at him and collecting on his fur.

Roxas would merely roll his eyes, wondering if Sora was doing it purposely to make sure they didn't ask him what the hell was wrong. Of course, for Ven and him this behavior wasn't strange at all, having seen him and Eevee do it a million times at home.

By the time they reached town, everyone's feet and bottom half of their pants were wet, but everyone seemed in high spirits with the idea of food hovering just above their heads.

"Whoa!" Aqua called in surprise his eyes catching the rocket just as Ven's had - of course it WAS kind of hard to miss. "That thing is huge!"

Everyone else paused at the entrance, looking at the large contraption as well, some of them tilting their heads as if they could possibly get a better look at it. "Yeah, that's not unusual." Terra put in, walking up next to the two ex-rockets (ha, ha). "Mossdeep has a large space center. They've detected a lot of funds and research on exploring the universe or some sorta romantic crap like that."
"Tch, wonder what they're looking for." Roxas said rolling his eyes. Weren't people invasive enough as it is?
"Ooooh come on Rox!" Sora chirped, throwing an arm around his brother's shoulders. "Why do you always look at travel like there is some sort of purpose behind it? Maybe it's just for the thrill of the adventure! The journey itself, not the ends!" He sighed. "I'd look to go into space... be surrounded by all those stars~"
"And there's a fucking romantic right now." Terra said, jabbing his thumb at the brunette. "And actually they're trying to discover new worlds they can civilize into working communities. Or at least that's what the book said."
"New worlds!" Sora chirped sounding even more excited than before. "Jolt that be so cool?! Being on a whole other planet? Meeting aliens?!!?"
"Eon...?" Jolteon shook his head.
"Oh you spoilsport." The brunette pouted, but unable to keep the grin off of his face, obvious fantasizing about what another planet would look like.

"Terra, how the fuck do you read a book on SPACE travel?" Aqua asked. Did he read a book on every subject EVER or something?
"I... had a lot of free time on my hands?"
The bluette just shrugged and rolled her eyes. "Whatever. Let's go get something to eat."

Ven smiled as he slowly walked up the stairs, under the gates that gave a warm welcome to weary travelers.
He kind of ignored everyone until Sora grew all bouncy due to the mention of a new world. Ven rolled his eyes and crossed his arms. "Another world... yea right."

He looked back up at the rocket and frowned some, his eyes growing darker. "They probably want to find the source of Unown and maybe find some more legendary that might live up there... like Dialga...even with all the funds, they make it way to public for their own good. With all the teams out there, they could easily be overcome."

Axel blinked and he looked down at the blonde and smiled. "Well, they haven't managed to yet! Let's go eat!" He grabbed Roxas's wrist and pulled him after Aqua.
Riku looked up at the rocket silently before slowly walking after, Umbreon, Sora and Jolteon in tow.

When the group came up to a restaurant, they looked at the prices and quickly moved on to another one that seemed more...homey. Unfortunately, they were only seafood and seeing that they had fish for two days straight, they moved elsewhere.
It was by the rocket where Sora squealed, seeing a restaurant that had a space theme and was kid friendly.
With a groan from some, the brunette pulled Riku inside, making the others follow.

To Sora's disappointment and the groups excitement, hardly anyone, especially kids, were there due to school season.
They were seated and crayons were given out, Axel and Sora coloring in the place mats as the others ordered their food, including food for their Pokemon as well. It was actually... cheaper than the all you could eat in Victory.

[Reno]

A few of them turned towards Ventus at his words, a few of them sighing. whether it was in agreement or not no one really knew because pretty soon they were all following after Aqua who was on the search for something to eat.

Sora was in the back of the group, looking towards the sky with a fantasizing smile on his face, his mind completely elsewhere. At the moment he was up in the stars, running around on a little astro-ship with the others, on a mission to save the universe with just them and their Pokemon. Not to mention the beautiful sights... space halos, and galaxies, and asteroid belts...

Maybe they'd even have space battles!!

Where there any space Pokemon...? What would it look like...? He tilted his head, thinking of some large green blob with a million eyes. Ew...

While he was in la-la land...

"Look here's one!" Aqua said, walking up to the red and brown building with some Italian name she didn't understand.
"Eeer..." Roxas said the same second her hand laid on the doorknob, pointing towards the menu that was in the window. "I don't think we can afford it."
A few took some glances at the fancy looking menu that didn't seem to be made out of just regular paper but some special type of high-glass clothe with the words in a perfectly rich script, obviously trying to look like some fancy.
"Fourteen bucks for a plate of pasta?!?!!? Fuck this!"

They moved on quickly, a few of them hoping no one had been staring out the black-tinted windows, watching them. The next restaurant they came to has a large, old-fashioned wooden sign on it with a blue and yellow Pokemon in the middle of the name. It was a Seadra, holding it's head high. The place was, anturally called Seadra's Kingdom.
"Here?" Aqua asked, not seeming to mind the idea of more seafood, but when she turned around, the others were grimacing in disgust. "What?"
"I think we need a more varied option." Terra said, shaking his head and walking off, the others quickly following after.

"THERE!!" Sora jumped in so suddenly everyone jumped, even Jolteon. Half of them spun around to glare daggers at the petite teen but he didn't seem to care, grinning as he grabbed Riku's wrist. "That's perfect!" He tugged the silverette along as he ran for a restaurant, no one having even been aware he was looking. It was a very... colorful building, bright with spiraling pillars on the outside and a baby carousal - the type kid's paid a quarter to ride. Little rocket replicas had been built outside that someone small could easily climb onto.
"Ugh..." Roxas looked at the name, grimacing. "Blast Off Trough?!" Who the hell came up with that name?!!?!
Everyone wanted to argue - but Sora was already gone. A few of them groaned and followed after, walking into the dimly lighted restaurant that supposed to make the atmosphere more... mysterious. A few of them relaxed a little though, finding the ceiling pleasantly decorated and the windows darkly tinted. Instead of normal lights the whole ceiling was a decoration of 'stars' (small pinpricks of light about the size of a Christmas light) with a big planet of moon build every now and again to help create more light. It was actually kind of... neat. There was, of course, an arcade and play area in the back of the restaurant. Being a kid's place obvious got very loud and rowdy. Thankfully though hardly anyone was there - much to Sora's disappointment.

However he cheered up quickly when he asked the counter girl if they had any kid's menus he could color in and - to everyone;s shock - Axel asked for one too!

They sat in a big booth with a round table, sugar, cream and salt and paper all in the middle. Axel and Terra - the tallest and needing the most legroom, naturally sat at the ends.

Jolteon was sitting in his master's lap, paws on the table and tilting his head this way and that curiously as Sora colored over him.

"Man they really need to give you more than two crayons - or at least better colors!" Sora complained, raising his. "I mean how far an I gonna get coloring in a ship with black and purple?" He pouted before coloring the space black and some of the stars purple, working around the ship with little Pokemon inside.
Roxas rolled his eyes, hitting his brother over the head with his menu. "Dork." He glanced towards Axel who was also hard at work coloring with his crayons - orange and brown. He suddenly noticed he was between them - how did that happen?! - and sighed. "Should I order for you both of something?"
"Okay~" Sora said, his eyes lightning up. "Anyone got some quarters then?" He grinned. looking towards the arcade. Roxas hit him again. "Fiine... Look they've got a play place!! And a ball pit!" Another hit. "You just can't admit you want to go in too." The blonde twitched and start jabbing him with his fork.

When Riku was pulled in, he relaxed completely when he saw the atmosphere. It was...beautiful.
He smiled as he was pulled to the counter where a woman in a 'cute' space outfit was waiting for them. This place wasn't here when he was young...

He slowly pulled down his hood, letting his silver hair spill over his shoulders as the woman looked at the large group come in after them.
"Oh, are you all together?"
".....Unfortunately." The silverette chuckled, hearing Aqua complain in the background.

They were seated in a group table, everyone no minding who they sat next to. Axel, Roxas, Sora, Riku, Terra, Ven, Aqua and then back to Axel around the table.
Much like Jolteon, Umbreon was on his own master's lap, his red eyes looking out at Sora's drawing. Space ships weren't purple...were they?

Axel leaned over the table, not even bothering looking at the menu as his tongue stuck out like it was going to make his coloring any better as he made his space a dark brown. "Stop complaining Sora! At least you got a color that IS space!"

Riku glanced at the two before chuckling, seeing the scene between the brothers as he looked down at the menu. That of course was all space themed. Cosmo burgers that had green and purple ketchup and mustard, Asteroids nuggets, Beacon Bacon sandwich, Spicy BOT wings, Ecliptic spaghettic, Ellipse soup with a Galaxy sandwich.
Of course, you could also pick your sides of Mashed potatoes with Gravitation gravy, Heliocentric poppers, Meteorite onions and Parallel fries.

A bratty blonde rolled his eyes when he saw the Light speed Liquids which included Plasma; a green fruit punch, Quasar; a purple fruit punch, Reflection; water, ROM; Real Outer-space Milk, Satellite; an alcoholic beverage, Spectrum; an ice drink, Sunrise, Sunset, Twilight and Dawn; types of soda pop.

"So...what galactic meal do you want in your inner space, Terra?" He grinned.

[Reno]

Roxas rolled his eyes at Axel's words, continuing to prod his brother mercilessly. "Braniacs, did it ever occur to you to you know... SHARE?" He rolled his eyes before looking down at the menu agitatedly, trying to find the most disgusting looking things on the menu for the two idiots. There wasn't too much to choose from.

Terra was looking at the menu with a raised eyebrow. Unlike the others - probably sans Riku - he had never been to a restaurant like this in his life. His father had always hated 'childish' things and refused to take him to them and that limited his mother... so he had missed out on a good number of 'normal' experiences.

That was why he was trying very hard not to stare around the place in wonderment and excitement like Sora. Because if Sora liked it then it HAD to be cheesy. Ven's question broke him out of his trance and he laughed, looking up at the other. "I dunno it all looks pretty gross, I'm afraid I'll get space-sick." Honestly purple mustard?!

Aqua rolled her eyes at the two near her, trying not to gag at all the bad puns. She leaned back looked up towards the ceiling. She would of taken the seafood over this any day!

After the waiter came by - sporting a star shaped order pad and a spaceship-shaped pen - and with a 'What maybe I get to take-off your day?' she took their drink and food orders quickly, coming back minutes later with their drinks.

"Alright!" Sora, having finished coloring, jumped a little in his seat as he brought his drink close. That wasn't what excited him - it wasn't even the star-shaped ice or glow in the dark glass (both of which were AWESOME) - it was plastic silly straw (neon blue) that was in his drink. He hadn't seen one of these in years! He took a sip, watching the liquid going around in the circles of the straw. "This place is the best!" He glanced towards the arcade/play area again and grinned. "So since we're waiting for the food... who wants to go play?" He grinned down at Jolteon and pet him, before reaching over to Umbreon, petting him too. "Bet you two do~"
Jolteon grinned, the idea of jumping into the ball pit very tempting...

Riku ordered the Celestial Salad that had little Clusters fresh fruit. He always loved fruit salads.
He too had to gaze at his drink, smiling in wonderment as he saw the ice glow in the dark glass. Twilight. He smiled more before he took a sip of his own silly straw, the blackness turning purple as the cold liquid went up.

Kind of tasted like...a blend of 23 flavors.

Axel grinned as he got his drink. Sunset! It was a red soda that had a yellow straw that turned orange when the cold came up. Tasted like berry!

Ven smiled at his, a blue Spectrum that was wild berry flavor. He had a thicker straw, much like Sora's that he sucked on to taste the perfectly crushed ice in the artificial flavor.
His blue eyes widened and sparkled as he heard Sora, looking over at the arcade/play area as well.
"..............RACE YOU!" He called and he dodged under the table and rushed towards it. He grabbed a poke ball, letting Haunter pop out.

The ghost looked around, seeing all the flashing lights and clapped happily. "HAUN HAUN HAUN!"

[Reno]

Terra was still looking at his drink with a raised eyebrow, wondering if it was SUPPOSED to be glowing like that or if it had been doused in radioactive waste when suddenly he looked up at Ven's yell - and found the blonde was no next to him any longer. WHERE'D HE GO?!

"ALRIGHT!" Sora cheered. "Jolteon don't let him get away!" The yellow fox barked in excitement jumping from Sora's lap and skirting from under the table after the blonde and ghost at a fast speed while Sora had to struggled in-between everyone's legs before he was free and running after them. "Wait up you cheater!!"

Roxas groaned, placing his hand over his eyes, blushing in embarrassment. "Buncha weirdos."

"Jolt-E-ON!" The fox said as he jumped up the few steps before he gave a mighty leap, falling right into the ball pit, getting busied instantly. He popped out his head, laughing.

Sora came into the play area, his eyes wide as he looked left and right - where to start. "Man this is so cool!" He threw off his shoes, throwing them into one of the shoe cubbyholes before running for the play place. "I'm going for a slide!" He squirmed into the entrance, having little trouble with his petite body getting up the zigzag steps and through the little tunnels to the circular slide. Like his drink had, he slide down it, going in circles. "WHOO!"

Axel eyes went wide as he saw the two race off. "H-HEY!" He cried before he fumbled OVER everyone and raced out after them.

Twenty minutes later.

"EON!!" A black fox popped his head up, balls with planets and stars on them flying around as his red eyes looked around... but caught the sight of a yellow ear. "UmbreON!" He cried and he jumped/fell towards his brother, falling onto him and nabbing at his ear playfully when he saw a mermaid tail taunt him on the other side of the pit. "Vaaaa~~"

"HAU HAU HAU HAUUUUUUUUUUU~~~" A happy looking ghost swung back and forth on a swing, his detached claws holding onto the ropes as if he'd really fall.

"DIG! DIG! DIGDIG! DIG!"
Called the machine as mechanical diglett popped out of holes, a huge hammer coming down on their heads with competitive force. A blonde laughed as he tried to get in front of the larger teen, trying to hit the mole pokemon before he could.

"Wow, this is pretty~~"
"WILL YOU JUST THROW IT!?"
"Huh?" Axel blinked as he looked over at an impatient blonde and blushed before turning back to the game called Star Shooters. It was a skee ball game but the balls were suppose to be planets. He reared his arm before rolling the ball up, making it fly into a 20 point basket.

The silverette tilted his head as he watched Sora jump up and down while arrows went up the screen. It seemed rather difficult but he had to admit, the song was catchy.

[Reno]

Jolteon, who was attempting to ball a game of hide and seek with Umbreon, yelped in surprise when he was caught. "Jolte!" He cried popping his head up and smiling as if to say 'You found me!' the swinging tail however caught both their attentions.

The yellow fox grinned, jumping over through the pit towards Vaporeon.

"GLAAAAACE!"
"LEEEEE!"
"FLAAAAAAAAAR!"
Came three cries going down the slide. Flareon was in front, Leafeon right behind her, and Glaceon was behind them, her back against Leafeon's. She breathed in and blew out an icy wind and they SHOT down the slide faster than ever!
"EEEEEEEEE!" They all cried as the rocketed from the slide and landed in a laughing fox-pile on the soft mats.

Terra licked his lips as he rose the mallet, laughing at Ven's antics. "Careful or you might lose your hand!" He huffed before throwing his weight behind his swing, slamming it on top of a Dugtrio. He couldn't keep the smile off of his face - he never knew these things were so god-damn violent and FUN!

"Die, die, die!!!" Aqua was chanting not to far away, pressing buttons like a madwoman as she played a fighting game, her eyes intent on getting the high score and, at the same time, kicking her opponents asses! "Al-RIGHT!" She cheered as her character swung out her spear, a small water dragon rising and smashing into her opponent who was some old fart, making him faint. "BOO-YAH!"

Roxas tapped his foot at the skeeball ramp, waiting for Axel to stop staring at the ball like it was some sort of new aged thing. At his admiration at the aesthetics he sighed exasperatedly.
"WILL YOU JUST THROW IT!?" He cried. Axel seemed to snap out of it and did as he was told, throwing it and getting it in one of the baskets. He grinned. "Nice try, now watch the master work." He grabbed one of the space balls, taking Axel's place and, after watching his aim, reared his arm back and threw it. The ball rolled and hopped up from the force. It fly, hitting the edge of the 50-point basket and bouncing off it, only to land in the 40-point one. He grinned. "Not bad~"

"♪Someone who won't regret to keep me in his net, Yes I neeeed I need my samurai!♪" Sora sang along with a big smile on his face as he hopped with the beat, the chain of his necklace tinkling merrily with him as the song started to slow down only to speed up again. Sweat had plastered some of his spiky bangs to his forehead, laughing even as he missed a few steps from getting weary. "Riku you need to try this!" He stumbled against the back bar one the song finished, looking over his shoulder at the silverette, grinning. "It's great!"

Red eyes moved to look at his brother, a grin on his face as they nodded and slowly as possible swam through the balls towards their mermaid brother.
They got ready to pounce...and JUMPED but their eyes widened as the tail disappeared right in front of them as their slippery brother swam through the balls and popped his head up behind them. Vaporeon then quickly shot two streams of water at Umbreon and Jolteon's butt before laughing at their expressions.

Ven grinned as Terra was completely over him, slamming into a Dugtrio. He suddenly spun around and slammed his hammer into Terra's butt, making the brunette twist to hit him back only for Ven to scoop down and smack his hammer into a gold Dugtrio.
"FINISH! The winner is the BLUE corner!" The machine announced before spewing out tons of tickets.
"WOOOOO!" Ven flailed as he shook his butt.
