The Chasers: Darkness' Fold

Gunnar snapped out of his trance when he heard Aqua. He blinked and followed behind. The rest of the group followed and lined up at the shore.

The brunette boy sat down on the blue rocks, watching intensely as Terra pulled up the knife. This was really different...
He smiled a bit as his sister joined him along with his mom. Olette had explained that this was the last Blood Bonding ever... and they were all going to be able to see it.

Aerith sat on a near rock, watching silently.
She knew how special ancient customs were...

Fuu only watched silently, her hand still joined with Aqua.


Ven looked down at the water rippling as Terra joined him and stood right in front of him.
"So i put it in my left?"
"No, your right?"
"Does it really fucking matter?"
"Yes it really fucking matters! Now shut the fuck up and listen!"
He watched the water under the bowl in his right hand and smiled.

When Terra stopped moving and the water settled, he looked up into another set of blue eyes.
He felt something touch the bowl, seeing the bracelet and ring. He cocked his head slightly, not understanding. He never saw Terra wear anything like that before.
He looked back up but got a grin from the other.

He looked back down, seeing the knife press through the skin, making a phantom pain in his own arm. He clenched his teeth as the feeling ran all the way up, seeing the blood slowly accumulate. He watched the red liquid run down his lover's arm, his blue eyes widening as he saw what was going on with the jewelry. He would of exclaimed... but he wanted to keep this silent...

For silence spoke louder than words...

He watched the bowl filling up half way and Terra pulled away.
He smiled softly as the other smiled at him but blinked as the bowl was taken from him... and the knife handed over.
The blonde studied the knife, seeing the balls of light in the blade's reflection.
Slowly he placed his fingers on his left hand on the rim of the bowl and raised the knife.

On his own finger, he wore the ring that he had given to Terra. It too had a purpose. It was Terra's engagement ring... and he wanted it to be a part of this too. Instead of having two separate ways of 'marriage', why not combine them?

Where the phantom pain had been, he started at the same spot and slowly punctured his skin. He winced softly before drawing the knife slowly up his arm to where the phantom pain had stopped.
Blood slowly seeped from the cut and ran down blonde body hair.
The red liquid ran over the engagement ring and down into the bowl, ripping slightly as it met Terra's.

Blue eyes watched the bowl fill and when it almost got to the rim, he pulled away.
He wiped the blade on his clothes softly and when he looked back, Terra was holding the bowl in both hands. His blue eyes looked up at the other's, a soft look in them before he looked back at the bowl. He took the knife and dipped the blade into the bowl, slowly stirring the blood inside.

After a moment, he pulled the blade up and tapped it softly on the rim so the remaining blood would drip down into the bowl.

Lucina sat down with her brother, watching the two in the water. She grimanced slightly as the two cut themseleves, but was surprised when none of the adults around her seemed to panic. She shook her head - she never would of guessed there would actually be BLOOD.

Aqua rolled her eyes at the sight of the blood. Gosh did Atterians have to do every little bit of everything with some slash of violence in it?

Seifer rasied an eyebrow watching curiosly. Heh he figured it;d be something like that.


Terra shivered again as he felt the knife ghosting over his cut a second time - but this time it was because Ven was cutting. It felt odd because they'd never had wounds in the same places before.

He smiled however, watching the blood run down, coloring his engagement ring Ven wore. It was an odd way to combine the rituals but ingenious too. Only Ven would think of something like that.

He watched the rest of the bowl become full, the design almost pretty as the two bloods met. After that the blade was cleaned once more and Terra let his other hand join his first. The undiritied silver met the bowl once more - the symbol of the 'female' mate giving her consent to the full ritual - and stirred the two bloods. Once Ven was finished, Terra slowly rasied the bowl to his lips, meeting Ven's eyes over the rim. He smiled and then slowly tipped his head back and drank, careful not to spill a drop.

The blood was sweet and still very warm, and it tasted nothing like his or Ven's did alone. It was a surprising and shocking difference. He pulled the bowl away slowly, still half of it full and his lips red. He licked them absent-mindedly as he smiled and carefully took the knife so Ven could take the bowl in both hands like he had. It was his turn.

Fuu tilted her head as she watched. How interesting. It was hard to believe that the creatures that were explained to them while training could do a ceremony that seemed so close... and symbolic.
And still with the two biggest assholes she knew.

Olette covered her mouth. It looked like it hurt!
Sure her marriage was small... but OUCH!

Gunnar winced, his face twisting as he stuck out his tongue. How could they drink each other's blood!?


Ven watched Terra bring the bowl up to his lips, his blue eyes watching the blue over the rim. He swallowed slightly as Terra tipped back. Terra was use to drinking blood.... him.... not to much.

He blinked as the bowl was handed over to him, watching Terra lick the rest of it off his lips. Slowly Ven reached out and took the bowl, looking at his reflection in the blood. He slowly pulled it up to his lips and glanced at Terra over the rim before closing his eyes and tilting the bowl.
When he felt liquid on his lips, he opened his mouth, letting it in. The taste of iron filled his taste buds as the blood ran over his tongue and down his throat. It was unnerving... but he drank every last drop left.

He pulled the bowl down when he was finished, sucking at his lips to clean them off. He looked down at the bowl, seeing no blood left, only the stain it left. He smiled softly before looking back at his mate.

He slowly pulled his hand from the water, minding the knife as he pulled off the blood stained ring. He took Terra's hand and slowly glided it down his lover's right ring finger. He looked back up at the other as he stepped forward, slowly leaning up and pressing his lips on Terra's.

Gunnar smiled and looked up at the others.
"Is it ok to cheer now?"

[Reno]

"Ew." Lucina said, but her voice was such a low whisper that it wasn't even heard, except by Gunnar.

Seifer glanced at Olette, smirking at her expression. she had always been a little squeamish around blood and stuff.

Aqua just smiled. This part actually hadn't surprised her. In her culture blood, especally dragon's blood, was sacred. Back in the past to give potency to the dragon's power, there used to be sacrifices made each year to each dragon. An eagle for strong flight, a human for sensitivity, a horse for speed and so on and so forth. The drinking of blood had been something only Beserker's used to partake of. It had also been their duty to drink some of the blood of the sacrifices - so that they would also redeem the qualities given to the dragons so that, each generation a Beserker is reborn, they become stronger in that next life. Luckily that tradition ended when Damia destroyed the sacrifical tower they had built in her region. Obviously she had been strongely opposed - and to keep balance every other region stopped as well.


Terra couldn't help but grin as he saw Ven's slightly reluctant look as he stared down at the bowl. It was kinda cute... and he'd be getting a LOT more used to the taste of it after tonight.

When Ventus was done, he smiled back at him, his look happy and proud but he blinked as Ven lifted his hand. His cheeks warmed just a little at the sight of the ring - and when Ven leaned in to kiss him, he easily returned it, drawing his arms around the other to bring him close. They could still taste the blood on their tongues.

Suddenly he heard cheering erupting on the shoreline and slowly they pulled away, glancing down the way towards the small Chaser group and he couldn't help but laugh slightly. He rolled his eyes glancing back at Ven, smiling widely. "Not bad huh?" He murmured, brushing his lips across the other's forehead tenderly.

"You know... this healing spring is rumored to cure any wound, no matter the age." Aerith said, almost suggestively, glancing up at Seifer and Fuujin.
The blonde in question tilted his head at that then scoffed, looking away. "Forget it. I wouldn't be myself without this scar." He grinned suddenly maliciously. "Besides, one day I hope to run into the bastard who gave it to me... and then when he sees the scar he'll recognize me and i can finally kick his ass."

Seifer sighed sitting on the bed, watching his wife getting ready for bed. Sigurd was on auto-pilot for the night, the whole ship's power turned down to conserve energy. the lights were dimmer then they were when everyone was awake. By not pushing the ship too hard at night it was meant to keep from crisis happening like over-heating and loss of fuel that were harder for the alarms to detect right away - but were usually avoidable if someone was nearby the control panel.

"You don't... think it was a bad idea to turn her down do you?" Seifer asked suddenly, sounding unsure.


"You think..." Lucina murmured from her side of the room, glancing over towards her brother. "We'll ever see that world again?" Her voice was full of wonderment and joy. She had had so much fun just exploring the place while Ven and Terra took care of the cuts on their arms. Actually that took about three seconds since the spring had been there. Terra had mentioned that they didn't need tos car or anything cause tradition didnlt need for them to since - well okay he went on talking about stuff she wasn't sure she understood or anything (marks?) but that didn't matter. The two took longer to give all of them a chance to enjoy the world while they had it around them.

Then it sadly was all back to business. Dinner was made and eatten, and then the their leader and co-leader announced they were not to be disturbed for any reason that night and that Aqua was in charge and then they disappeared into their rooms. thats when Seifer and Olette suddenly decided it was their bedtime which so wasn't fair because she SO wasn't tired but...

Lucina was going to turn out to be quite the talker.


Aqua ran her hands through her hair. After everyone decided it was time to turn in for the night - for obvious reason - she of course found herself back in her room with her one and only. She stretched her arms out high and yawned. Terra and Ven didn;t get a honeymoon - oh well she supposed they could have taken one but both of them refused. That lovey-dovy crap really wasn;t for them - besides Ven would probably die more then once due to blood loss if they did.

One night was all they needed.

Well, that meant tommorrow it was back to business.


Terra licked his lips a little nervously watching the bracelet and ring come off as it was carefully set atop the dressor next to the ceremonial bowl and knife. His engagement ring, of course, did not leave him. He looked up at the own who had removed him of the jewelry, staring into the blue eyes of his lover.

This... was it.

Shapely arms wrapped around the other's waist as they kissed... but he blinked and pulled away as he heard the cheering. He blushed softly and shook his head. There went the silence...
He looked up at Terra and smiled, nodding softly.



"You know... this healing spring is rumored to cure any wound, no matter the age." Fuu looked at Seifer then shook her head as well. "I don't think I could manage with two eyes... I've only had my one for as long as I can remember. Besides... I like my variety of eye patches." She chuckled as she watched the balls of light fall around them.

She yawned as she sat in their bed. She pulled off her eye patch, placing it on the nightstand. She looked up at the blue haired woman and smiled. "So... what do you think the next world is going to be like?"
Neither Terra or Ven had briefed them on the Connection they were headed to. It was a bit strange not to know... but she knew so much had happened in the past few months. Christmas, their wedding, the funeral, the ceremony... it seemed that so many events had occurred is so little time...

It sort of seemed that there was something on Ven's mind... and Aerith had been more quiet than usual. She wondered if there was something going on that they didn't know.


Olette blinked as she pulled on a bra and snapped it, then pulled it around. She looked back at her husband and grinned. "No way! I wouldn't even recognize you!"
She looked around, seeing to be lost and scared. "Help! Help! Has anyone seen my husband!? Oh where could he be!?"

She giggled as she sat down on the bed, crawling over to him then flopping down. "Besides, I think it makes you look more handsome... and brave~"


Gunnar pulled his blanket about him, not too tired either. It had been a busy day though... so he could probably fall asleep in no time. He looked over at her and smiled, shrugging a bit. "I'm sure we will. We'll be genuine Chasers... so we can go where ever we want to." He smiled as he looked out the window that was between them. "We'll collect keyblades as see all sorts of different worlds... maybe even ones prettier than that!"

He doubted that there would ever be a place nicer than that... and no other world as yucky as Midgar.
He sighed as he leaned back into his pillow. He really wished he could of brought one of those blue stones back with him for memories, but Aerith said that wasn't a good idea.
"You shouldn't take things from rare things.... for they will no longer be rare anymore."



Ven moved his fingers gently as he pulled off the bracelet and ring, setting them aside.
He was only in his hakama pants as he laid on their bed, the brunette under him.

He had wanted to wash his mouth from the taste of iron... but he figured he would only have to taste more.

This was still a part of the ceremony.. which made Ven a bit nervous. He had done this before... but it had been a long time.

He was on a mission though. A side quest that had to be done. He had to mark his mate back and.... confront the wolf.

"Will..... HE ever go after me?"
"Who--- oh.... no."
"Hmm? How is that?"
"Because... you're his mate too. He loves you as much as I do."
That had been a bit unnerving as well... but... since the wolf was a part of Terra... he couldn't reject it.

He slowly leaned down and pressed his lips on the other, pushing his tongue in softly. His hands ran down a firm chest and then down to strong abs. His eyes closed as he brought the other into a passionate kiss, tugging the strings of the hakama.

[Reno]

"Hopefully..." Aqua said in thought. "Safe." she joked before turning around and walked over, sitting down next to her. "Of course nothing we go to is ever safe but it is nice to dream huh?"

She laid her head on the other woman's shoulder sighing a bit. "It's hard to imagine how much has happened in the past few weeks huh?" she murmured softly. So much gained and so much lost. She was worried about Ven especally - he and Sora had gotten so close... as if their seperation of their childhood had made no difference.


Seifer laughed at his wife's display, smiling. He grinned, layin down next to her. "Mmm... handsome and brave eh? I could deal with that." He started tickling her sides.


Lucina grinned, trying to stifle a yawn. "Yeah..." Daddy and the others were already talking about training! She couldn't wait to get to choose a weapon to start 'training' with.


Ven wasted no time.

Terra hummed softly, shutting his eyes and kissing back. He could feel how nervous the other was - and it wasn't really helping to boost his confidence any.

He reached up, running his hands through the other's hair and shivered a little as the hands ran over him. It was odd, willingly giving up his control - and the oddest part was the wolf was making no objection either.

Fuu smiled as she felt her companion laying on her shoulder. "Yea... but... good things will happen soon. Gunnar and Lucina will begin training... and things will go back to the way it was.." She said softly as she slowly laid down with Aqua.
"Until... whatever killed Sora and Riku comes around again..."

Olette blinked and giggled as she was tickled. "Hehehe! Yea!" She smiled as she wrapped her arms around her husband and nuzzled hs neck.
"So.... you're thinking about training the kids soon? What do you think they'll pick to fight with?"


Ven wasn't use to Terra being so submissive... He felt a bit unsure... like a female who was finally given her right. Even if he was a macho man who had a mouth on him... in his private life, he had become very submissive to the large wolf.

In a large field, a large, black and brown wolf stood in solitude.
The wind blew gently through the long grass and fur.
In the distance, a golden wolf was trotting towards the other.
When it grew closer, it was noticed that the golden one was smaller than the other, blue eyes shinning.
It pulled its tail between its legs as it gave small yips as it lowered itself.

It grew closer, nuzzling the other's fur. A red tongue ran over the fur, licking the other lovingly.

He felt a small boost of confidants though as Terra ran his hands through his hair.
He brought the kiss deeper and slowly pulled the strings down.
The white hakama fell softly, his bare body healed of all scars once again.

He ran his hand over Terra's chest again as he slid from his pants. He softly pulled away from the kiss and moved to Terra's neck. He licked the other softly and sucked a few places, leaving love bites.
"Terra...." He whispered against the other's wet skin as he pressed his tongue harder on the other's neck.

[Reno]

"Yeah..." Aqua murmured darkly, but then she looked up at Fuujin and smiled. "but we'll be ready for it." Hopefully.


Seifer shrugged and chuckled. "Nothing you want them fighting with." He teased.


The wolf head tilted as the other came forward hesitantly, watching him.
His tail thumped in approval as the other came close enough to nuzzle, giving a low growl at the licks that almost sounded like a purr.
He licked the top of the other's head softly to reassure the smaller.

The brunette could hear the hakama slipping off and it made him shudder again. His hands slipped from Ven's hair and laid down across the other's back as the kiss was broken, his breath a little more heavy. His darkening blue eyes watching the other, eyes skimming over the body he had seen countless times before but never had gotten tired of gazing at.

"Ha-ahh..." Terra moaned lightly as the other started to lick and bite at his neck. He shut his eyes, tilting his head back to give the other more access, smiling as he heard his name whispered.

Ven's eyes darkened as well but not like the deep dark they become all the other times. He continued to lick the other, slowly getting a salty taste as their body heat started to make the sweat glans work.
His hand continued to roam around the other's body, slowly moving down to his thighs. He rubbed Terra's inner thigh gently, ghosting over the hairs.

He pulled away for a few moments, smelling the pheromones Terra was letting out. He closed his eyes and leaned closer, smelling the scent and letting it take over his body.

More of the scent went through his nose and body. His eyes started to gloss over as he could feel his body react. He was still shy about the whole thing... but once he heard his name, he grew more confidant. He slowly pulled away and moved up, feeling the last of the pants coming off him.

He placed his hands on each side of Terra's hips and pressed his lower body down so that their members were pressed against each other. He moved down and started to engulf one side of Terra's neck, his mouth hot and wet.
