Morning would come, he had dragged Sora through the alleways into an old abandoned apartment building, there was a small room that he had claimed as his own. Alot of homeless seemed to congregate in this building. None of the electricity or water worked, so he used candels for light, and used the money he got off the streets to buy cases or gallons of water, water was indeed the most important thing they needed to survive. But this time he was lucky, he had gotten a whole loaf of bread and it was fresh and new just for washing some guys windows! He was grateful, getting real food was hard... digging through garbage cans was a normal way of life, but getting real food... like tihs bread... it was truly a gift from god...
Carrying Sora in asnt so bad, he had given the boy his bed, laying covers over him taking off his shoes. The kid had a odd familiarity to him... but eventually he himself had gone to sleep passing out on the floor.
When he awoke he just sat there staring out the window of his small room, still wondering... why was he even here, why was he alive if he had no memory of anything. Kyojo wasnt even his real name, it was a name one of the other bums had started calling him, unfortunatley that very friend... had died a long while ago from an illness. This life... it was so hard and cruel... why couldnt he have had a normal life like everyone else...?

Sora groaned softly as the light from a broken window shined in through the window. His head was pounding like crazy!!
"God..." He moaned as he awoke, eyes blinking open and shut serval times desperately trying to get used to the sun. He threw his arm over his eyes. "How much did i drink?" He whispered softly. God... how much MONEY did he waste. "Oh shiiiit." He whispered, sitting ups slowly. He hissed, feeling pain in his hands and looked down, seeing his knuckles on both ahnds were bright red and caked with dried blood. He was punching something hard last night. His right hand was ugl with dark purple bruises covering the majority of it.
"fucking IDIOT!" He chastised, smacking his palm into the ground again and again. "the hell were you thinking!"

The man walked over after breaking the loaf of bread in half and knelt down infront of the bed " Its not the best but... you hungry?" he asked suddenly offering him the bread, he really wasnt sure what was going on with this kids life... but... it was usually best to stay away from the normals... he had already broken enough rules as it was bringing this kid as far as he did. He wondered if he would freak out... yell or do something... maybe even try to attack him? Who knew... so instead he just kept his bright smile up " You were throwing up on the side of the road... so I brought you here..."
He scratched the back of his head nervously holding each of the halves of bread in each hand, the other offered out towards Sora " Food usually helps me get things off my mind... you know?"

Sora blinked looking towards the man his eyes widened when he saw his appearence. The tattered rags of clothes, the filthy skin the unshaven appearence... he was a bum no doubt. He looked down at the food that was offered out to him. It was clean and fresh, soft and yummy looking. But... he couldn;t take it from him.
"I... no thanks I'm not hungry." He murmured softly, looking away from him. "I'm sorry I cause you so much trouble. I just recently found out my brother died so heh I be an idiot and try to do what he always did. He was a drinker ya know and so I drank... a lot... too much... and yeah sorry."

The man nodded slightly a frown on his face " You know... I am very sorry about your brother... but... its rude to not take hospitality in a mans home when its given." he said suddenly still offering out the bread " I may be be a bum... but im still human enough to offer somebody food when they come into my home... it will make you feel better trust me, breads good for the stomache." he forced the bread into Sora's hands then stood " Alcohol is never good... it doesnt bring the ones back that you love... I wouldnt know though..."

He stared at the bread silently, ripping off a small piece and nibbling on it. He felt horrible stealing it. "I don;t desereve your food." He whispered. "you shouldn't offer it to someone like me. I'm not worth it."

" I offer my food to who ever I want." he said right back sitting in a seat across from him taking another bite from the loaf swallowing it down. " You should get home... your family is probrably worried about you... you know? Though thats hat ive been told... families worry about their own right? I wouldnt know..." he sighed shaking his head it was like his entire life started just three years ago...

"Y-Yeah... familaies love and take care of each other." He murmured softly, looking at the strange man who was too kind for his own good. A lesser man would have pick-pocketed him of everything he had and left him to stew in his own vomit...
This man... was so very kind. "What... is your name?"

" Well... I don't know my real name... but my friends call me Kyoji." he said answering Sora's question " I don't have a full name to give you, because like I said I don't really know what my real name is so Kyoji works fine!" he chuckled slightly taking another bite from the bread " Whats your name kid... I mean if you have a name? Im sure we could find you a name too if you don't have one you know? Mine got picked off from the T. V. I think... not too sure..."

Sora was silent not sure if he should ask and decided against it. maybe he had always lived on the streets...
"I have one." He said. "San. Sora San." He was quiet for a few moments then murmured. "Kyoji... why don't you know your real name? Were you an orphen all your life?"

" I..." he frowned slightly not certain how to answer the kids question " I don't... remember..." he said suddenly " I don't have any memory of anything past three years ago... the first memory I have was in this very room... I was laying on that same bed a rag tied over my head here a wound was." he pointed to a scar near his temple " My friend... said he found me almost dead, he was able to stop the bleeding though."
He sighed shaking his head " I don't know anything at all... all I know are the alleys, the streets and begging, but I always make sure to keep a smile, it helps people in this world you know? When you have that one big smiel on your face its almost like having an ultimate weapon." he chuckled slightly " Corney huh?"

"N-No actually... that's... exactly what my dad always used to tell me." Sora said softly. He looked down, blinking. "He always told me 'Sora never lose your smile. You have no idea what the true power of it is.' He always went off on stuff like that... cause he thought my smile always made things better or at least bearable even through the worst of times. That's why... I hardly ever let my siblings see me angry or sad... cause they need me you know? They're all I got to keep them going in this world now that we've lost all our parents."
He sighed, slumping against the wall. "Except last night I lost it... I better be going home with one hell of a fucking smile." He laughed lightly, showing off bright white teeth to the other man with a small grin. "And then my girl Kairi's gonna wipe it off by slapping me silly and telling me how worried she was about me."
He shook his head some, looking up at the other man. "You're a reallly good person Kyoji."

" Your dad sounds like he was a smart man..." Kyoji said in return listening to Sora talk about his family, he could really tell how much this kid cared about them, it was a good thing... he had a pure heart and that was necessary in a family right?
" Thanks..." he said suddenly " But I couldnt have just left you there last night, it wouldnt have been right, choose the right you know? I heard it once... somewhere I think it was at a church, not to sure..." he chuckled slightly. " Things will look up for you and your family I promise you... god has a plan for all of us, so says the good book...."

"Your right...: Sora murmured softly and then, "You're right!" e stood up suddenly, knowing exactly what he needed to do. "Oh gosh! And when things fall into your lap that opens up world's of possilbities... you take them and do the good thing with them!" He suddenly knew what he needed to do. "Kyoji! I need to go home!" He set the bread in his lap, barely any of it had been eaten but it was no longer concerning because Sora's eyes had grown bright with determination and purpose. "I'm in your debt sir! One day I swear to repay you!"
He hurried for the door then slid to a halt, laughing. "Oh uh, where's my car?" He grinned sheepishly.

"I'm home!" Sora called as he opened the door. He didn;t smell too great - in fact he still smelled like alcohol, he was a bit dirty from being out all night and both his hands were badly cut and bruises but the look on his face was one of someone who had had an epiphany. He looked ready to take on the world all of a sudden - and his eyes were alight with a purpose they had yet to know.
"Nii-san!" Iris cried, jumping from the couch and was the first to run and embrace him.
He laughed a bit, hugging her back. "Hey sorry about that Ir~" He looked up, seeing his whole family - and even Orihime, all gathered in the room. "I'm sorry if I worried you guys... I won't do it again I swear!"

Raine was the next to latch onto his leg hugging onto him tightly " Sora-Nii! Sora-Nii! You didnt tuck me into bed last night or read me a bed time story!" she complained hugging him tightly " Hime-Chan did instead though! She tells stories alot more funnier than you do!"
Kairi was standing behind them all just watching, she tightened her fist as badly as she wanted to hit him right now... she just couldnt bring herself to do it... she just watched letting the kids gather around him. They needed him right now... All of the children did... Kairi glanced at Orihime and ten back at the family again. This was their family... she would fight till the end for it... no matter how hard it was... " Sora..." she whispered smiling at him.
