Nesses blinked then looked ahead of her. the plains were long and seemed to go on forever. she looked up at the sky and frowned. "this journey will take us a month by foot." she sniffed the air and could smell the rotting of human flesh. a vampire clan was near. she looked back at gradd. "let us get going."

Gradd nodded as he looked ahead " where are we going exactly.. I dont know where Kains castle or what ever he lives in is at..." he looked at her oddly as he began to walk... " thock never told me at all... he always just said I would know but I dont know..."

Zelda surpressed a growl. she was still jealous no matter what anyone dsaid. she had to stay clam or she would go insane! this was crazy she had been betrayed so many times. why try again?

Nesses pointed to the east. "there, we follow the footsteps of the vampire till we get to camp. then we can find a map. the world has changed very much since i have romed it." she looked back at zelda and nodded. she then walked down the path towards the east. she didn't feel right. even though gradd was her guardian for this trip, she felt alone, very alone.

Gradd sighed as he followed after Nesses he wasnt sure of what he was going to do in the end if he ever did find kain.. this was to hard for him... and he had to protect Nesses and Zelda... slowly he glanced over at Nesses " how long has it been...?"

Zelda frowned glaring at them. she didnlt like nesses. why pretend to? what if Gradd betrayed her? hell why did she even bother trusting them?!

She looked back at Zelda and stopped. "Are you coming Zelda? Please walk with us, won't you?" She smiled and looked at the sky and frowned. there was something up there. she could feel it. Something was flying over head behind the clouds. She pushed gradd away from her and looked up at the shadow. A screach was heard from up above and Nesses took her staff tightly. It started to glow and the sky turned black. The creature swooped down and came right for Nesses. The creature was bright red with 5 large wings. "Thunder!" Nesses shouted over the cries of the beast. A large thunderbolt came down and hit the beast's wing. It started to thrash violently in the air as it lost control of it's wing power. It started to fall to earth fast as it cries out in pain. "Gradd! Get down!" she looked over at Zelda and gasped. "Move!" she grabbed Zelda's arm and pulled her back, both falling to the ground. the Beast fell and a large dust wave blew. some trees collapesed and Nesses held on tightly to Zelda. when the dust cleared, Nesses opened her eyes and looked at the large beast that laid there, breathing deeply.

Gradd had moved just in the nick of time as he coughed from the dust. Slowly he stood upwards as he aproached the creature growing out his claws and fangs. " Slowly he glanced over at Zelda and Nesses " areyou two alright?" he asked as he poked at the creature... he had never seen anything like it ever..

Zelda thought her heart was moving a mile a minute. she slowly opened her eyes and looked at Nesse then the creature then Gradd then Nesses again, "t..thanks..." she said. she sloly but her hand over Nesses and dislotched it from her arm. she stood and slowly grabbed both off Nesses' arms and helped her up whether she had liked it or not.

"Thank you." Nesses brushed herself off and walked to the creature. "It's was going to eat us." she placed her hand on the creature and smiled. "Cura." the wound in the creatures wing started to mend slowly. The creatures growl stopped and it looked up at her. She was saving it.

"you may be right gradd but not all creatures are the same," Zelda said in a wise type tone, "after all humans are never the same." she muttered looking away. she hated to say it but she didnlt like her race. to be vampriie... be one of no emotion.... that would be a godsend!

That's why we have aeons. do you think they gave us their power because they wanted to?" she shook her head. "We summoners had to fight to gain their honor. I had to fight them and prove yourself worthy. If you hurt them badly, you must ahve the heart to aid them."

Gradd looked at her oddly " I understand but... even vampires have to eat aswell and they drink human blood... it doesnt make sense to me... there both creatures... same with demons"

"cats also eat mice. humans eat meat. we kill just like vampriies theres no denying that." Zelda said and sighed, "we hate it though because we can feel the pain of loss. animals yes have feelings but there lifes are short and memory is bad so it doesn;t always stick with them but for humans it does. we all have to take our hate on something..."
