i need some help... or advice or something... tho i don't know if any of you can really help... my school is closing and transferring us all to the local community college (that's right TSK, starting sept 7 i'm going to OCC) we have the choice, to just finish our curriculum at their facility (which since all i have left is Solaris, i don't know if they can finish it...) or to actually transfer to their associates program... they will give us a certain amount of credits for the classes we've finished, plus i have 17 credits from my other college... so likely i'd be there a year maybe more cuz i need most of my general education classes... all i have is english and my liberal arts (with all those acting classes, one of them had better count!! i know i passed 2 of em...)... my question is what should i do? should i finish the curriculum which will prolly finish at the end of the semster? or should i go for the associates degree push me education back a year or more?? or should i go insane and take a semester at occ get the credits and then transfer to Rutgers and go for a bachelors degree in computer science and take about 2 to 2 1/2 years??

Well dude all that I can tell you is that getting more years into just adds to the paycheck when your ready to go out and look for a real job.
What is it that you want to do exactly?

i say personally finish the curriculum then decide what to do from there. you don;t want to get into something you may regret later.

What is it that you want to do exactly? i'm studying PC repair and networking... if i decide to transfer (and i'm leaning in that direction right now (sorry reno.... ur advice is sound and all... but the "safe" thing to do just isn't me...)) i'd be getting an associates degree in applied sciences...

actually... i talked it over with my parents... they think (and i quite agree) that i should go to OCC for a semester and then xfer over to rutgers... since i've been at brick for a full year it prolly won't push my graduation back much from where i had originally planned (when i went to college the 1st time... ) and i'll get to live in a dorm again (i loved living in the dorm at cal... such intersting ppl )

*raises eyebrow* that would be scary to live in a dorm. with strangers... how could you trust them?! it's not as bad as u'd think... u get to know the ppl around u pretty quick... i thought the same as u when i first moved into the dorms at cal... but after a month or so, not only did i not lock my door most of the time, i often left it wide open...

around 5-6000... including 19 meals each week... tuition at a college like Cal was only 3000 (that's including the discount for choosing theatre as my major... would have been 6000 without it...) then there are the other expenses besides room and board... it worked out to about 13000/semester to attend... which, all in all isn't that bad for a college... cal may not have been the best school in Pennsylvania... but it isn't the worst either...
