i'm in the mood to brag about my new computer
After several months of working in my secret laboratory (AKA my bed room, directly in front of a window, where almost anyone can see me...) my masterpiece is nearly complete... i have been slowly, yet surely, replacing all the old, obsolete parts in my computer, now it is nearing completion! i just replaced the motherboard and processor, and a month earlier i replaced the video card and cd- burner (upgraded to a dvd+/- rw) here are the specs as they stand right now...
3.0 Ghz p4 Asus P4p8x MoBo (800 Mhz FSB, HT, SATA, GB LAN, 24 bit on board audio) ATI Radeon 9600 XT (the 9800 was and is out of my price range) 512 MB DDR 400 2 IDE HDD
next month i upgrade to 1 SATA 120 GB HDD(i'm still keeping the IDE's if possible)... and add another 512 MB DDR 400... then i will finally have the computer i dreamt of over 3 months ago!!

well... for sound card... i have an Audigy Platinum... but due to wee little error, the installation failed and i had to pull it to get the machine running... so i'm using the on board audio from the MoBo... its a soundMAX or something like that... 6 channel, 24 bit audio... sounds almost as good as the audigy... as for other multimedia components... i have 10x DVD ROM and 4x/2.4x/28x/16x DVD +/- RW (dvd write, rewrite, cd write/rewrite, read) i have dolbi 5.1 surround speakers by altec lansing (but the rear channel is broken... ) and a 17 in CRT monitor that i will replace with an LCD in a couple months

As long as your computer meets your needs and expectations, there's no need for you to upgrade. I think Jobiwon seems quite happy with his configuration.

Well, there are other video games stores in the mall. Try any of them?

in freehold there are just the 2, gamestop and planet x... they're both the same company and pass employees back and forth... and i don't want to go to the Ocean County mall... its too much out of the way... i'm gonna try the circuit city that's across the street from my school... i'd love to sell comps there... tho there would always be the temptation to say " no this comp suxx... buy the parts and put it together urself... it's cheaper and more fun! "
