I should not be allowed near the internet... I accidentally clicked on a link and filled out some information, now I have an appointment to test drive a 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer and have my '03 lancer appraised for trade-in. Chances are good, Friday, I will have a brand new car, that i never intended to buy.

it's easier than you'd think. You see, i was looking for an owner's manual for my car and after checking for it at the nearby dealership, i went to the mitsubishi motors website and I saw the '08 lancer, and clicked on it, started looking at it. then i saw a link that said "Click here for free online trade-in appraisal" so i thought to myself, "Hmm, i wonder what i could get in trade for my car" and i clicked. but in order to actually get the appraisal (which was just a rough estimate) i had to fill out basic info... name, address (fakes) email and phone. well, i was tired, and, while i remembered to fill in a fake name and address and use one of my spam email accounts, after the phone number failed on my usual 5555551212 number, i put in my real phone number... a big mistake, i know... so the salesman sent me 2 emails, most likely auto-generated, and then called me. and, well... i didn't want to hurt his feelings... so i agreed to an appointment to test drive the car, fully intending to state at the end that it "wasn't what i was looking for" but then the more i looked at it, the better of an idea it seemed, and then i went to the specific dealer's website again and saw they had the trim level i wanted, with the no extra options, in the colour i want (grey)... so yeah... completely accidental...
of course i do have to explain why my driver's license doesn't say Herman T. Glick, and i don't live on 123 Fake street, Mid-Nowhere, NJ
