No californias brea just starts before most states thats why it seems shorter but its about the same length.

I dont know what your talking about I live in California and I live in the middle of nowhere surrounded by big mountains that are used as a training environment for Marines, just one big desert with a crap load of hills.
Hollywood....? I dun see it anywhere....

actually no, most schools in california go by the september scehdule its just a few choice ones in my area go like this: we begin the semester in the first monday of august, then fall break is the last week of september and it ends in the second week of october, then winter break is ends the friday before christmas then end after the first week in janurary then the last two weeks of march is spring break then the schoo year ends on the second week of june on a thrusday.
it all comes out to be 180 days long.
anyways my first day was great. i have friends in all my classes!
