It was said that two thousand years ago the subject known as Jenova had fallen from the skies, and was the source of the extinction of every ancient's death. Though it is unknown how, the creature was found by Shinra scientist and quickly, but falsely identified as a perfectly preserved frozen Ancient specimen. With this discovery blood samples were taken and since then used to be implanted into various children... those gifted or cursed with Jenova's power.
Since the discovery only three scientist have since then tampered with the cells, Gast, Hojo, and Hollander... Proffessor Gast was the first to drop out from the project and has since then been marked in the Shinra records as killed in action. Proffesor Hollander after losing rights to the head of the Shinra science division to Proffessor Hojo has been marked as Missing in Action... his wereabouts are currently unknown.

Genisis spoke his hand lifted out towards the open sky his fingers motioning almost as if they were holding the sun in his very hand. His red hair blew in the wind as he continued to stare at the setting sun, the book "Loveless" cupped in his left hand held close to his chest " With her gifts... only then can happiness be truly achieved..." He was known for quoting the book, and held it dear and very much followed all of its words and stories like a religion. Often times Sephiroth would mock him, and laugh each time he quoted the book, but he knew better than to let such trivial things bother him.
But it was their last confrontation in the training room... he had broken Angeals sword while the two were training with sephiroth, he had gone a bit overboard and the blade and cut deep into his own shoulder, the wound still had not healed, nor was it showing any signs of getting better any time soon. He placed his hand over the wound sealed deep behind his own coat, the blood no longer poured from it but it just remained...

"Such trivial things... oh my... oh my..." Proffessor Hojo stared at his newest 'subject' confined to the tube of mako energy, they had found quite the find... two precious specimens in one week. Professor Gast's only son, and the only male Cetra left in this world, along with a blood sample of a new creature that he believed was not of this world at all. He grinned maliciously as he the needles were injected into the others body. The boy already had very little or no memory of who or what he was... he was uncivilized and uneducated when he found him, a jungle boy living at the city of the ancients. " This is a perfect way of getting at Gast... by turning his only son into a weapon... indeed... so perfect... the only question is should I add Jenova cells aswell?"

"So, am I this goddess?" A voice teased from behind him. If Genesis had turned around he would have seen this sight: A woman dressed in dark blue clothing, the wind around her whipping her medium-lengthed silver locks around, her green eyes glowing from ehind the beautiful strands. But he did not. that was of no surprise to her.
She walked forward. "Heard you got into a fight and lost it." She 'tsk'ed at him, coming up to his side. "You ever gonna learn?
Her name was Eve. She was Sephiroth's sister and though she wasn't exactly the strongest fighter around - her body had not adjusted well to the mako treatments once she hit purberty - she did have a known magical prowess that still amazed some SOLDIERs today. She could hold her own in a fight, and that;s what counted.

A quieter girl sat in the back of the lab, unseen and unheard as she watched the scentist work. Her hair was long, dipping into the backs of her knees like her elder brother's - the only really odd characteristic were the two strands sticking from the top like cockroch's antanne - and her eyes were blue. She hated that man before her - so much so because he had been the one to administer all her mako treatments - and was still being given them to this day.
But she couldnlt help but be... allured by the workings of science. Her interest in the subject had only grown from her childhood to her teenager years.
Her name? Rina.
Her game? Well, she was trying to steal a book actually, and the scentist was so distracted she probably could get away with it.
Rina tiptoed across the tiled floor, sneaking glances every now and then at his new specimen. Poor kid. But it wasn;t of her concern. all she wanted was that damn book!

Genesis eyes remained on the setting sun and he put his book inside his coat letting out a small sigh " Word gets around fast doesnt it...?" he asked gripping the sun outwards then suddenly turned staring towards her. " The world needs to realize... that Sephiroth is not the only hero that protects it..." he sighed placing his hand upon her cheek brushing it gently, she was truly a peice of which he held dear to his heart. " Your brother... is well over rated..."

Hojo would continue to tamper until his eyes would narrow upon the girl sneaking inside his lab " Come here my little daughter" he said suddenly setting down one of the needles, he knew the interest Rina hand in science, and as much as he loved tormenting his children sometimes he would share his little secrets with them, specifically her. " Remember... that wasnt a request it was an order." he had a grin upon his face as he looked over at her.

Eve chuckled, smiling up at him. "Believe me I know." She rolled her eyes. "Your not the only one hiding in his shadow." She eprsonally hated how much attention her brother cuaght - as much as she hated being the center of it, she still wanted to be recognized for the things she accomplished as well.

Rina tensed when he caught her, her muscles clenching uncomfortably. "Fuck." she whispered under her beath - knowing it would be worse if she ignored him she walked over, stepping up by his side. "what can I do for you Father?" she said, using the term father as deragatory as she could.
She wasn't as strong as her brother Sephiroth - but she was still a force to be reckoned with. when she fought she seeked out her opponents weakness and strukc for them - she fought with her brain when she fought wth those stronger then her, and took them down. Yet... when it came to her father... she couldn;t say a word in arguement too often.

" How goes school, my soon to be doctor Eve?" he asked remembering she was about to finish her degree and finally become a psychiatrist like she had almost dreamed, she tended to have a thing about believing she could help people through their minds and thoughts. It was one of the many things he loved about this woman, she was actually intellectual unlike most woman who paraded around him, and the other first class Soldiers, he knew exactly what they wanted, but there was only one woman whom caught his eyes...

" President Shinra wants new results... a new weapon so to speak..." he said suddenly looking towards the figure " This boy... is the last of the Ancient's besides the girl in the slums, that the Turks keep such a watchful eye upon." he chuckled " Your mother... often times spoke of the nonsense about the weapons that would one day destroy us if we continued upon our sinful deeds... so in return I will create a weapon from one of the very people whom created those weapons..."

"goes good." she said smirking, running a finger under his chin. "Why, need an appointment my oh so trouble Gen?" She teased. He was one of the few people who supported her decision into going to psychiatry. Him and her sister. Everone else said she would drive HERSELF crazy doing it. But she was determined to prove them wrong. She wasn;t an idiot...

Rina crossed her arms. "Why would the Ancients create weapons anyways?" She asked after a few moments. "Did they secretly want to destroy mankind or something?"

Genesis nodded then suddenly leaned forward kissing her shutting his eyes, he would try his best to hide his wound from her, it was best she didnt know he had been injured in his little sparring match against her brother.

" The very reason that they were brought into extinction..." he smirked suddenly " The weapons were a defense mechanism... very few people realize that..." he reached over grabbing an old book that belonged to Lucrecia and threw it at Rina suddenly " This is your whore of a mothers notes, everything she knew about the ancients and the weapons." his eyes narrowed " You can keep it brat, ive gotten what I needed from it."

Eve smiled, shutting her eyes and kissing back. Her arms wrapped around him.

Rina caught the book effortlessly, smirking. "Alright. I'd be happy to take it off your hands." She sounded like she was doing him a favor. "Have fun with your new pet." she said, nodding towards the teenager in the container before walking off.

He winced slightly breaking away, the pain... how was there that much pain... this small of a wound had never effected him this much before! He grimaced taking a step back placing his hand over the wound, it was bleeding again... he pulled his hand from his coat to reveal the blood that it was covered in " Why...?"

A girl had been watching from not to far away, she wore a suit that every turk wore and she had curly orange hair. She had really started to question what Shinra was really doing... allowing their science departments to do whatever it was that they pleased, experimenting on whomever they wanted, it seemed atleast once every few months people would disapear, and erased so to speak, it was a part of the Turks job, a part of her job that she discusted... She was one of the Turks that had accompanied Proffessor Hojo when they found the boy, he didnt speak any language, he just seemed lost and confused until they had apprehended and soon brought him unconcious, and now... this was where he was... " Poor kid..." she whispered, she herself was only ninteen, the youngest Turk in her group, but that still gave her the right to call him a kid! She was older...!

Eve blinked in surprise but her eyes narrowed when she saw the blood. "You got HURT too?!" She sighed, shaking her head. "Gen..." She hated it when he tried to hide these things from her.

Ri na walked by her, taking a glance at her. "Just be glad it;s not you in there." The woman said easily. she knew the life of an experiment. It sucked like hell... but she had no power to go against it. the science department held so much pwoer in this company it was ridiculous! but they relied on hojo to bring out 'the better soldier'.

" I'm fine..." he muttered placing his hand back over the wound, he had to get back to medical to try and get it to seal again... it just... the wound wasnt healing... why tough...?
