The Chasers: New World Locket

Ven blinked as he felt the hand then smile as tears were brushed away. His idea worked and---
He stopped and could only close his eyes as he felt lips press against his. He slowly pulled the other one into a passionate kiss for a few minutes, then pulled away.
"It's ok now..." He said softly before brushing the back of his hand against Terra's cheek.

It was cold in the open room so he slowly brought Terra back inside. He didn't have to ask what was wrong... he already kind of knew. They were connected... and well.... He had a bad dream too.


Riku blinked as he saw the dance then fell back onto the pillows in defeat. "I give up."

Xio yipped as he watched the two. It didn't phase him much... he'd seen odder things with Roxas and Axel. Maybe almost the same thing. He jumped down and started to circle around them as they... danced?


Reno blinked as he heard the voice from behind him. He stood, and looked back, seeing a man in white standing close by. "Yo...." He blinked a few times, wondering if he was dreaming. The wheelchair was in the corner of the room. So... Rufus could actually walk. It was all a charade. That was good ol Rufus...

He smiled slightly and shook his head. "Yea, yea... I guess you're right." He chuckled before picking up his EMR and walked pass his boss. "I'll be on the conference room couch." There was no point going all the way back to the apartment. Besides... the conference room was still pretty close by.

[Reno]

Terra smiled softly, nodding in agreement. "Yeah..." As Ven led him back, he clasped their hands together, the bad dream and panic attack seemingly forgotten.

They were heading towards their room when a strange... noise came from down the hall. Terra paused, which forced Ven to come to a halt. He looked down the hall, seeing a light on further down. what were...


Sora and Roxas contiued to laugh, their mirth only heightening by Riku's words.

Invidia just laid down, resting against Riku's leg.

And the suddenly Sora and Roxas' legs accidently hit together, throwing Sora off balance and he fell back with a yelp of surprise, falling out the still open door, Roxas spiraled atop him.

"Sora you idiot!" Roxas chastised as they continued to laugh.


Terra's eyebrows furrowed when Sora and Roxas suddenly seeming to just... fall out from the doorway, their laughter carrying down to him and Ven. he looked at his lover. "you think you could have gotten more NORMAL brothers?" he teased.


Rufus watched him sand chuckled. "If thats what you wish." He said simply, stretching his legs some. He hadn't been on them for quite awhile and the wheelchair got to be a hinderance at times...

Ven blinked and could only laugh as he saw his brothers one the floor. He looked at Terra and shrugged. "Unfortunately, I think is is normal for Akbartans."


People were settled back into their room. It was decided that Axel had to be in Midgar. Luckily, he wasn't any further in some Connection that hadn't explored yet. They would wait till morning to head down below.

In the morning... Terra and Ventus decided to take a shower... together. It had been a loooooong time since they had done that. Last time they did, Terra stitched up a missing piece in Ven's shoulder... but now that hole was gone thanks to the healing spring. Ven almost kicked himself that he didn't stop by to tell Aerith that he had found it... but he could tell her another time when things weren't so hectic.

All ten of them and the two pets sat at the large table for breakfast. Since there wasn't much food left, everyone had cereal except for Terra of course.

Ventus and Terra gave the bad news that they were heading to Midgar again today... the good news was that they weren't after the keyblades... but to find Axel.
He looked at the four who had gone down for the first time.
"Did anyone you see seem like they could fit Axel's.... Somebody?" The blonde asked, hoping that they would have an easier time finding Axel if someone seemed familiar down there.

Before anyone could answer, there was odd padding that came into the room. Everyone turned to look at the doorway. Everyone was accounted for at the table but...

"Can I have some cereal too?"
A little brunette asked as he rubbed his eyes. When he pulled his hands down, green glowing eyes looked at the ten pair looking at him.

"GUNNAR!" Olette cried as she quickly got out of her chair, rushing to the boy and pulled him up on her hip. "My baby..." Tears of joy ran down her cheeks as she nuzzled the little boy.

Terra grinned. "Oh joy. Family reunions must be fun."


Riku was happy when it was decided that they;d worry about it all IN THE MORNING. sora could only giggle ecstatically, but he did as Terra and Ven ordered and went back to bed. Roxas did as well, though sleep didn't come easily. He just wanted to jump down their right now and go looking for him...

He dozed off eventually, a content smile over his face, Bond of flames held over his heart.


The shower together had been fun. Terra remembered dropping plenty of kisses down wet shoulders, lovingly stroking and cleaning blonde hair, along with... other fun things...

By the time they got to the table, Roxas already looked ready to leave. Sora was wide awake, feet swinging back and forth excitedly. Riku, who seemed to suffer from low blood sugar like Terra did, just grumbled and ate. Aqua took the new news with a grin. Things were finally get back into place.

And things only got better. Everyone's head turned as a new set of footsteps came into the room.

"Gunnar!" Seifer cried, jumping from his seat like his wife and ended up embracing both of them, unable to hide the happy grin over his face. His son...

Lucina watched quietly, pouting a bit. She jumped from the table, walking over and hugged both her parent's legs, trying not to be left out.

Sora grinned happily at seeing the boy alright. Believeing in people really did help...

Terra smiled softly, watching the family. THAT was how it was supposed to be.

Roxas looked on as well, his smile brightening also. Good things were just suddenly falling back into place again. Once they got Axel back, everything would be perfect.

Aqua grinned, watching the display, but then Ven;s previous question hit her. REALLY hit her. Someone who could have been Axel's somebody.... and that damned red-head who aggravated her and made her feel like she hit the epitome of deja vu....

She hit herself in the forehead. "Stupid!" she snapped quietly to herself. SHE HAD KNOWN WHERE AXEL WAS THE WHOLE FUCKING TIME?!

The boy blinked, seeing all the love he was getting. He could only giggle at the warmth. He nuzzled his mother and father as they gave him the love and was soon put down. The little boy embraced his sister too, not wanting her to get left out! He looked around, seeing everyone look really happy. Had he done something right? The thought he was going to get yelled at.

His glowing Mako eyes looked up at his parents. Well... he was sure he'd get yelled at at some point.


Riku smile softly and looked at Sora. He was right. Sora was usually always right. Hope really did go a long way. He learned that from his second best friend too...


Fuu smiled but blinked when the woman next to her hit herself. "Uh... Aqua? What's wrong?"
Ven could only grin. "Yea Aquafina... what are you stupid for this time?"

[Reno]

OOC: honey you have magical powers or something because the minute you 'threw me in bed' guess what happened? XD all the cable in Apple Valley went out (which sucks since I have a cable modem)! don't worry it's back now. But yeah that's why i disappeared so unexpectedly last night XD

Lucina grinned and hugged back, giggling. "Yay we can play hide and seek again! Mr. duckie wasn't very good at it and mr. doggie was too tall!"

Seifer looked down at his kids, chuckling affectionately. "Okay okay, time for breakfast you two." Lucina pouted but nodded, jumping into her chair. Seifer chuckled picking up his son, setting him in the seat next to Lucina while Olette got him his own bowl of cereal.


Sora grinned back at Riku, clasping a hand in his. He leaned up, kissing on his cheek. Everything could only get better from here - hopefully.

Aqua's eyes narrowed at the familar nickname, kicking Ven's leg from under the table. "Well Ventura if you must know I'm certain I saw Axel - or at least his somebody." She looked at Fuujin, grinning faintly. "No wonder that bastard pissed me off so much..." Axel may have been her friend but their elements - and personalities still clashed. Even as a somebody! Heh, ironic, she tried to kill his nobody and wanted to kill his somebody when she first met him.

That meant... another trip to that god awful building though. And if they were going to do that... Aqua, Fuujin, Olette and Seifer definitely couldn't go. They'd be instantly recognized.

Roxas looked around. "Alright then lets go! Let's go now!"

"Calm down. We need to think first. Last time we barged into that place it didn't turn pretty." Terra said, remembering how the others had gotten caught in quite a mess. "We don't want a repeat performance."

Olette couldn't get the smile off her face. Her son had accepted the virus... and even if those glowing eyes would take awhile to get use too... it was still her son... and he was going to live. She quickly rushed to the kitchen and poured some cereal into a bowl and filled it with milk. She came out and put it in front of him with his spoon and leaned over, kissing his cheek.

The little boy smiled at the cereal but then looked up at Olette and then Seifer. "I'm sorry I used your teley...I lost it too..."
Olette sighed but nodded. "It's ok.... as long as you're safe... that's all that matters... but may this be a lesson to both of you. When mommy and daddy sad 'no' you had better listen!"


Fuu blinked when Aqua turned to her. She stopped and though. "AH! I feel so stupid too!" She shook her head and sighed. She looked at Roxas and nodded. "Yea... that had to be his Somebody. If we were looking for him in the first place... he could of just kicked his ass and brought him on board.

Ven could feel how anxious his brother was... but Terra was right. These people were under tight security for some odd reason. This world wasn't as simple as some. It had a lot of history.
"Well.... since Aqua, Fuu, Olette and Seifer already made a mess down there... they should stay here."
He looked at Terra and smiled slightly. "You should stay here too." Everyone looked at Ven as he said it.

The blonde hair shifted over bright blue eyes as he looked around and then back at Terra. "There's open energy of the planet at the surface called Mako right...? I know those nightmares last night were because of the power. You shouldn't be exposed to it again..." He said softly then looked towards the others.

"So... It looks like the other keybladers and myself will go down. Roxas, Sora and Riku. I'm sure we can handle what will be thrown to us."
There were just nods until the blonde turned to the ones who had already been down there. "So... What does Axel's Somebody look like... and where can we find him?"

Fuu frowned and chuckled. "I'm sure you'll notice him when you see him... unlike us obviously people." He shook her head and leaned back. "He has spiky red hair atop his head with a scrawny long ponytail in the back. He ironically... has red tattoos on his cheekbones... and has the exact exotic looking shaped eyes... and I wasn't able to get close enough to tell... but I'm guessing they're green like Axel's. His skinny... and lanky... but nothing as skinny as Axel." The silverette looked at Roxas and laughed. "You need to feed that man!"

She shook her head again and couldn't help but laughed more. "I can't believe how stupid we were... because... now that I think of it... he had the exact same voice as Axel too."

Ven could only snicker. "Hey... who said any of you were bright." The table just glared at him. "Well... I suppose if you didn't now if Axel was missing, why would you be looking for another one right? Besides... I'm sure you were too busy trying to save your own asses."

Fuu and Olette huffed.

"Alright... well... Did you get a name of him? Lea? Ael? Anything like that?"

"No... I don't remember anyone saying his name..." Fuu answered. "But he's a part of what seems like a mob... or.... something? They call themselves 'Turks'... and I'm guessing they work for the 'Shin-Ra Electric Power Company'. We also got news that the president... named 'Rufus' has a keyblade... but he's not a keyblader. I'm guessing 'Rufus' is the 'ruler' of Midgar... and the 'Turks' are his body guard."

She nodded, that sounded about right.
"The building is the biggest I've ever seen... so I'm sure you can find it easily. It's also where the more cleaner air is." She looked at Roxas and smiled. "This Somebody has a nasty attitude... nothing like Axel. But he does have the wise remarks like your lover does. But... I'm sure you'll know him when you see him... at least your heart will."

Lucina pouted a bit, not understanding why SHE was getting in trouble too but nodded all the same. "okay mommy."

Seifer just ruffled his son;s hair. "Eat." he murmured, smiling. He'd had enough scares for one week. He was ready for a nice long nap... knowiung everything was okay again really helped.


Terra looked at Ven, smiling a bit too. He knew why the other was saying it. something about this world brought about bad reactions with him. His inner Atterian side went CRAZY. that energy was just... nerve-driving.

"Right." Terra said, nodding.

Roxas listened quietly to the description, her eyebrows furrowing curiously. That... reminded him...

"Hey Rox?!" Axel cried from the kitchen. "what do you think about me putting my hair in a pony tail?!"
Roxas walked in from the living room, brows furrowing. "I think you'd look ridiculous."
Axel pouted. "But, but..."
The blonde walked over, grabbing a clump of hair and tugged it into a pony tail, none too gently, using his fists as the band.
"OW!"
"Besides it hurts see?" The blonde teased.
"you're so mean Roxy~"
"I love you too."

Well that answers were THAT question came from... Roxas looked up as Fuujin spoke and he smiled lightly, nodding. "Yeah..." Hopefully that was true...

Aqua scoffed at the comment about saving their asses, kicking Ven under the table again. "Yes, he definitely has green eyes." she added once Fuujin had finished. She had gotten close enough to the red-head to know. "now the only problem is is getting to see him. when we tried the receptionist she turned us away and said we'd have to wait for monthes... So we took the back way and well you know how that all worked out. I sincerely doubt they'd say okay for the president's bodyguards."

"Well, what if we took Xio or Invidia and had THEM sneak in?" Sora suggested. "Axel would be bound to remember one of them right?"

"No. you're not taking either of them." Terra said.

"What?! why not? their noses would be perfect! if this place is as big asd it seems wouldn't that help us out?" Sora asked.

"Because one, they'd set you apart immediately from everyone else - something in this case that you MIGHT want to try and avoid... besides even if you did - what if they got captured? If these people are crazy enough to inject mako into their own people, who knows what they do to animals. I can guarentee there ain't no animal cruelty laws." Terra said.

"Okay so.. what do we do...?" Roxas asked with a frown.

Terra thought. "well you COULD create a racket on purpose - try and bring him out of hiding on purpose."

"I thought we were trying to avoid making a mess! Well a bigger one!" Aqua said.

Terra waved his hand. "Just listen. Axel should be able to recognize Roxas too, right? And Axel wouldn't hurt him, right?"

"Well..." Sora stepped in. "Not... EXACTLY. Only if he knows he's there will Axel be able to hold any sway real over his Somebody. Then again the paopu fruit still works so it might change that field a bit... but there's no real guarentee he'll remember right away..."

Roxas frowned, looking towards the ground. That was right... this wasn't Axel's heart he was dealing with anymore... He wondered what that meant for him, whose heart did HE have? it obviously wasn't really his because his REAL heart... was sitting right next to him... Was he going to disappear back to sora one day too when this person's real body was re-awakened?

Was there really any happy ending here for him and Axel...? Nobodies... doomed not to exist outside of their somebodies...

"you could fly." Terra broke into Roxas' thought, smirking teasingly.

"Oh yeah Terra, that sounds SO much better." Seifer threw in. "And just whisk Axel the fuck away in a pretty sunset and all that crap too."

"Daddy..." Lucina said. "Thats four munny."

Terra smirked at Seifer. "Another thing you could do is just wait it out until he comes out of the building - he can't STAY in there forever. But who knows maybe he lvies in there too." He leant back. "so finally you could figure out how the building operates, how the employees get inside - say cards or whatnot, steal some clothes and pose as workers - with so many levels it;s got to have too many people to be remembered - and then just dance around inside the building until you find him." That one could actually work - depending on what system they used...

He leant backwards in his chair, nibbling on his muffins. "whatever you guys decide to do just remember not to give us chasers a bad name. So if you get in a fight, don't lose. And don't get yourseleves thrown in jail cause none of us want to go down and save your asses if you do."

"Terrrra. two muuuunny" Lucina sing-songed.

"Olette your daughter's stealing all my retirement munny." Terra complained.

Ven nodded as he listened to Terra. He blinked as he heard Luci. He grinned and leaned down to her, whispering softly.
"Actually Luci... asses is another name for donkeys."
He wanted to save some munny for his lover! She was taking it all away!
He frowned as he leaned back up right. "Actually... we might have to put a pause to your swear jar. We don't have as much munny as we use to because of the extra people... we needed to buy more food." He patted her on the head and smiled... "Only for two weeks maybe? You have enough in that jar to buy a new airship!"

He looked back at the group as Terra talked more... but when he was done, he butted in.
"Actually... the posing as employees would work.... except Riku wouldn't be able to go."

Riku blinked and looked up. "What...? Why not?"

"Because... no one down there has silver hair... except for clones." Ven put bluntly. "I did my research and it seems the only ones on the world who have silver hair are clones of a man named 'Sephiroth'."

Riku frowned and looked at Sora. He remembered his husband had battled a man named Sephiroth twice at the colosseum. It had to be the same one...

Ven frowned again and tilted his head. "That means the guy who was around Gunnar when we found him was a clone."
"He was scary..." Gunnar added softly.

Fuu frowned too. No one seemed to have a problem with her... and she had silver hair of her own. "The guy in the weapon's bed also had silver hair... he must of been a clone too."

Ven nodded then looked back at Riku. "I don't think this Shinra company would hire clones." He sighed and thought. "Maybe we should just go down and learn more about the company and these 'Turks' from local people. With the information we gain... perhaps we can come up with an idea on how to lure Axel's Somebody out."

Fuu crossed her arms and sighed. What she was worried about was.... what if Axel was no longer there? What if he completely fused completely with his Somebody already? That guy didn't seem to recognized them at all... but... hopefully Roxas would have better luck...
"Wait a minute..."

The table looked at her.

"When Roxas was created... and returned to Sora... Riku had to give Sora half his soul so Roxas could exist on his own... what is Axel's Somebody..." She slowly trailed off...

[Reno]

Lucina pouted but nodded. "Well if you stopped swearing you would have more money." She teased.

Seifer merely patted her on the head. Ven was right, they would need the extra munny or they'd starve.

"Tch figures." Sora grumbled. What if Sephiroth himself was down there? That's what scared him. The last time he had seen that man, Cloud and Sephiroth had disappeared together and Tifa had guessed that they had gone back to their world... so... if he was there... Sora wasn't sure he had to skill alone to fight him anymore. He took a hell of a lot of energy, luck, skill and stamina to even LIVE against him. Defeating him? Well... that was another arena he didn't want to be forced to step into.

But he had to say, his lover looked nothing like that psycho freak. Sure, they had similar hair but Riku's was more... 'purplish' he guessed. Sora looked at Riku, shrugging. If they did meet him... well that was gonna suck but he'd fight him again if he had too. If he lived before he could do it again.

Aqua scoffed. "with our luck that crazy company made the clones." she grumbled, shaking her head. They all seemed like maniacs to her. Who needed security for an electric company? Honestly! Something was seriously OFF about that place.

Silence did fall over the table. Sora frowned. It took a real strong heart - or a nobody with real strong desires to even still EXIST in the body of their somebody. Namaine had been perfectly happy merging back with Kairi - Roxas had not. He had determined that it wasn't his life and rather then merging back with Sora and all the color of his life, he stayed in the black and white, guarding over the darker side of his heart and waiting for his chance to have control - to have a life of his own. Waiting to control Sora's body like it was rightfully his.

"Well then," Roxas stated simply, almost cruelly because he didn't want to give up yet, "I guess Axel just has to beat his somebody and come to the surface instead - and keep it." Ah the amazing things greed did to you. It had been his goal at one point to - to hurt Sora so badly, to destroy his control so completely that instead he'd be the somebody, and Sora the nobody. But, he and Sora had grown a strong bond of friendship, and slowly that desire had gone away. As long as Axel and his somebody weren;t friends though... it wasnt impossible for the other to just... fight him down right?

"Roxas..." Sora said, a bit stunned. Sometimes he wondered if - by having someone's elses heart, he didn't act a little strange himself sometimes. Something had always been off about Axel, and something would alwyas be off about Roxas too.

Ven looked at his 'brother' and frowned. Sora was the one who created Roxas's image... and he knew all he had to go through.
"Roxas... how would you like it if Sora was your nobody... and made the bonds you did... how would you like it if he pushed you away and you couldn't be with Axel anymore because Sora wanted to be with Riku, To be a teacher and everything? What if Aqua's Nobody came back and pushed her away... not caring about her being a Chaser or about Fuu? What if my Nobody came back and pushed me away... took my role and didn't care about Terra or Sora.... or you?"

He looked down, his blonde hair shifting. "What Axel had done was dangerous... and love can make you do things without thinking. You're... a Nobody with someone else's heart. I don't know how hard it is for you... or the people of Delshad... but... you do know... that you're not suppose to exist at all. Axel isn't suppose to exist. If the Darkness never came... you guys would still be Sora and Axel's Somebody... The only way you can exist is what Sora and Riku did for you... Also... you have to thank Riku... even if it's bitter... but he destroyed souls... so there are extra hearts out there that will never join with their spirit... and a Nobody can exist without worrying."

He looked at Roxas and sighed. "Axel's Somebody might have a loved one... or a job he really loves." He shook his head again. "I know you love Axel... but his Somebody is the main person... even if he happens to be an asshole. Remember... his Somebody hadn't lived for more than 20 years... he probably missed his life too you know...?"

[Reno]

You do know... your not supposed to exist at all. Roxas felt the familar layer of anger shoot up at those words, fingers clenching into fists hard enough to break the skin. That was one of the main reasons he had been so spiteful towards Riku in those past years, had been so snippy with King Mickey... Sora had been the only somebody to believe he had had reason to exist...

And he had even tried to hurt him. Yeah love made you do some fucked up things. He remembered being on the verge of breaking Sora down - splitting them apart again. He had teared at his friend's psyche... all because he wanted to hurt RIKU for saying he didn't exist - all because he blamed AXEL for what was happening to the worlds...

Funny how Riku had turned out to be right. If he hadn't of been... well that scene would have turned out to be quite a mess. "Yeah well he won't have to worry he can miss the rest of it." he grumbled bitterly.

Sora frowned angrily, then smacked the blonde upside the head. "Stop it Roxas."

"ow!" Roxas rubbed his head and then looked up glaring angrily at all of them, but more so at Ven and Sora. "Well what the hell am i SUPPOSED to say?! Oh okay it's useless let's get the fuck out of here because you know I'm not supposed to exist, he's not supposed to exist okay all this fucking nonsense for the past twenty years was NOTHING cause you know we don't EXIST! Everything's as it should be! And of course, you somebodies get to have fucking everything and we nobodies do what we do best. We fade. End of fucking story?!"

"No of course not!" Sora cried in response. "We just have to find a better way!"

"Oh okay Sora," Roxas stood, chair scrapping as he did, laughing bitterly. "This is real funny cause for some reason your the only one who ever thought I was supposed to be around." He took a few steps away, turning his back on them.

"Roxas will you calm down?!" Sora snapped, standing as well. "If you just stop to think for a moment we could just simply do the same thing that me and you did!"

"What? Have Axel's sombody's fucking LOVER give him half a soul?"

Sora's mouth formed an 'o' suddenly realiing exactly what was making Roxas so upset - Axel being gone, having faded, and this Somebody of his already resuming his happy life with the person he had loved - if he loved anyone at all. That's what your scared about? "Roxas... he's not gone."

Roxas stayed silent, and with his back turned no one could see his expression.

Sora walked up to his side, putting a hand on his shoulder. "He didn't fade Roxas. Why would he? He loves you Roxas, he'll always love you... just like you loved him while I loved Riku... He;s probably doing exactly what you did... hiding in the shadow of his somebody's heart and waiting for you to find him this time... heh, Axel is nothing else, is too stupid and stubborn to give up so easily." The brunette reached up, wiping something from Roxas' face - most likely tears. "Now stop it. I didn't go through hell and back for you just to have this happen and you give up. That's not like you."

"There isn't technically a me now is there?" Roxas choked.

"Do I have to punch you too?!"

"...maybe." Roxas mumbled faintly.

Ven stood up too, listening to Sora. He sighed and shook his head. "I didn't mean it like that Roxas... I know you exist. I can clearly see that..."

"What Diz and Ten Sid said were completely wrong." Riku added slowly.

Ven looked at Riku then nodded, looking back at his brothers. "What I mean was that... you know... you're a part of Sora that was ripped away because of darkness. A half of him. If the darkness didn't exist... then... you'd still be Sora." He frowned a bit. "But you exist now... but what you have to remember is that all Nobodies have a Somebody... and technically they are suppose to fuse back once the darkness lets go of the heart. Just because this is something natural to do... you don't have to do it... but don't expect Axel to just rule over his Somebody... because his Somebody has all the right to exist too."

He walked closer to his brother and smiled. "There can be both of you... and no matter the situation... we'll try everything to get Axel out of his Somebody for you... but his Somebody has to exist too... because he too has the right... just as much as Axel."

Fuu nodded and smiled. "Besides.. with an attitude that guy had... I can't image ANYONE loving him." She laughed softly. Ven turned around and stuck his tongue out. "Hey! I wasn't very lovable either!" He turned back to Roxas and smiled softly. "Besides... if Axel's Somebody does have a lover... it would make it easier to get Axel out of him if his Somebody and lover do what Riku and Sora did... but I know Axel is still inside... he wouldn't just fuse with the guy. He loves you too much."

He reached down to Roxas's belt and pulled something off, handing it to his twin. "This proves it." The Bonds keychain glowed brightly as he dangled it in front of blue eyes.

Sora glanced back at Riku. Now why couldn't he have said that 20 years ago when Roxas was trying to KILL him? Ah well, he supposed it didn't matter.

Aqua laughed at Ven's statement. "that's only cause Terra's fucking crazy."

"Oi!" The brunette land keyblader cried.

Roxas looked at the Bond of flames as it dangled back and forth, before he reached out, slowly taking hold of it. He cupped it in his hands, looking down at the keychain then looked first at Ven, then to Sora. "Did you two take the same speech class or something?"

The brunette laughed, wrapping an arm around Roxas' shoulders. "Hey now come on, we're all here for you. Now, smile!"

"Why, does this ship run off happy faces too?" Roxas grumbled.

"No, actually I'm pretty sure it runs off swearing." Sora laughed. "And fucking bunnies and rainbows remember?"

Terra rolled his eyes. "I swear you all get a little gayer each time you meet up."

All three brothers turned towards him. "What does that mean?!"

"It means stop dicking around, get your asses ready because you have some fucking research to do." Terra ordered. "At the rate you guys go Axel'll have gray hair."

"You know... I think the swearing actually got worse." Seifer intoned with a chuckle. It appaeared the swear jar was only going to have a negative upon negative effect on the members of this ship.

It took maybe twenty minutes for the four to get cimpletely ready - mostly because Sora wanted to finish breakfast and stubbornly refused to move until he did. "It's sugary yummy goodness! you can't tear me away from that!" Had been his excuse. Again, he would blame his kids on his lack of creativity with words.

But after that, they were given their communicators and they got the basic run down speech - this time from Terra. The yadda yadda, do this do that, be careful speech don't screw up or die cause I don't wanna clean up your guts type of thing (of course Ven got a quiter, speacial speech that sounded suspiciosly suggestive).

And of course, Ven was also the lucky one who got to be in charge of the other three.

The portal was made and they were gone.


Roxas breathed in the air, then his face twisted, eye watering a bit. "The hell?" what in the world had they done to this place? It felt as if... they heart of this world had been scarred - badly.

Sora didn't even react to the air, or the sight or anything. His eyes had gone blank as he stared forward, out in the streets. He could feel it. Under his feet, the moving life force underneath his very feet... and it sounded... like it was... whispering? As the master he had to be closest to a planet's heart - to be aware of its pain and know how to help - but he had never felt THIS close before. It felt like this world was on the verge of death. He shivered slightly. He didn;t know if he liked the feel of this place... at all.

A brush on the cheek was the last movement he made before leaving the land keyblader. He pulled on his communicator and got into his outfit. Aero Maxim appeared in his hand... and they were gone.

Black boots stepped onto the concrete ground, making the gravel crunch. The smog blew weakly through his pathetic blonde ponytail. Blue eyes moved under long blonde spikes. He moved easily with his one brother, following him close behind. The silver symbol on his shoulder stood out boldly as he walked with a sense of pride.

A silverette not too far away was having the same reaction as the blonde next to him. He covered his nose as his face twisted. He was use to extremely fresh and pollution free air on the tropical world he was born and raised on.
He looked at the blonde next to him and shrugged, following the other's lead.


Ventus stopped as he looked around a rather large open square with a fountain in the middle of it. He frowned as he looked around. "Well... I guess we should split up. Try and get as much information about the ShinRa Electric Power Company as possible. What it is, how it works, what is it for, how long it's been around and so forth." He turned to the three and nodded. "Also... let's see if we can learn more about these Turk people too. Apparently Axel's Somebody is a Turk."

He reached into the bag attached to his hip and pulled out the large map that Fujin had given him. He opened it up for everyone to see. He frowned as he saw the large red dot and pointed to it. "That must be the ShinRa building. So... how about two hours to get as much information as possible... and then we'll meet in the front of the building."

He looked at the three again. "Also... don't even think of starting a fight. Riku... make sure Roxas keeps his cool since you'll be going with him. Me and Sora will go together another way."

The silverette nodded and looked down at Roxas, giving him a grin.

"Also... if anyone asks about your hair... just tell them you dyed it. You're not a clone. Tell them.... I don't know... you're in a play and you're playing a clone." Riku nodded. "Will do."

"Alright... I guess that's all we needed for now." He looked at his watch and nodded. "Meet you all at the Shinra building at 1400 hours."

Riku blinked at the number. "Wha...?"
"Two o'clock."
He blushed a bit and nodded. "Gotcha." He looked at Roxas as nodded, turning and going the opposite direction.



It a few Connections away, a woman with a long brown french braid pulled on a metal door.
"Trying to open that thing again?" A man's voice came from behind her and she looked back, seeing a brunette with a scar down the middle of his face. She stood and clasped her hands together, nodding. "Why don't you leave it alone? It's just a basement door... probably nothing down there but old junk." Then again... he knew she loved old junk.

"I'm just curious... you know Ansem the Wise use to live here... maybe we could learn more about his experiments if we could get this door open."
"Like I said... there's probably nothing down there." He waved it off but smiled. "If you're that determined, Aerith, go ask Yuffie for help... she's the queen of breaking into things." He laughed as he slowly turned away and walked down the hall.

"Yuffie..." She put her hand next to her mouth and nodded. She walked down the hallway where she knew her klepto friend would be... and she was right... at the safe.
She giggled and shook her head as she walked in, poking the girl on the shoulder. "Yuffie... do you think you could help me get the basement door open? It's stuck tight."
