" I mean... he is like a bajllion years old... and... he was around when Jenova killed off the Cetra I think...?"

Oh yeah because she was too busy freakign out on trying to find a way to fix it.

" Very well..." he paused for a moment " When Jenova came onto this world she did not only infect the Cetra... but the Hylden aswell, this was before the Hylden were banished by the Cetra into the hell world that they now inhabit. Because Your children have come in contact with the Hylden whom might I add are immortal much like myself, they contracted the very virus which killed the Cetra, and brought it back to our world."
Raichu gave a stare " W... what...!? I... but... wouldnt the Virus kill the Hylden aswell!?"
" Did you not hear me say they are immortal? Just like myself the only way to kill a hylden is to stab one in the heart or chop off its head... by the time the Cetra found the cure many of them had already either been dead or turned into vampires by the curse that the Hylden had inflicted upon them..."
Raichu gave him an odd stare " Vampires... wait you mean...?"
" Yes... the vampires that you know as Gradd are descendents of the Cetra." Magus said then suddenly turned heading for his palace " Come..."

When the cure was finally made less than 50 Cetra remained in our world..." he lead them into a room that looked like an alchemist room potions and elixirs of all sorts all t hrough out the room but the paused infront of one potion it was very small maybe enough for a small sip " this is all that remains of the cure..."
Raichu stared down upon it... " That... won't be enough for everyone will it...?"
" No... for one and one only" he said then glanced over at Rina " With my efforts I have no been able to duplicate it, with fear of losing it completley."
