"Bye..." he murmured sadly, watching her leave. If he was normal... if he had the chance of not being as crazy as he was... would he of had a chance with her...? He sat up, kissing both his hands on final time before he stood and started to head home.
He needed to get better.
He WANTED to get better.

A week later Eve had already been by the house and had two more sessions with Sora. she wcould finally give her findings.
"well, i believe without a doubt i know whats wrong with him." she announced to her parents, Sora was in the corner of the room, looking at the floor. did she really know?

Sora looked uo, listening intently.
Eve sighed but smiled. "it;s a disorder in the brain. Let me put it this way. In your brain, when an action needs to be completed, a signal comes through the mind, and sets out the encessary tasks needed to perform that action. when the action is completed, the signal is shut away. but for people with this disorder the signal never goes away, causing actions that need to be... repeated over and over again because the brain is not sure that it was ever done."
"But thats doesn;t explain the hand kissing." Aeris said.
"Oh yes it does." Eve looked over. "Sora? tell me again how the handkissing started."
"I..." Sora looked at the floor. "i was tying my shoes... and... and i had to keep retying them every day... thirth-six times before i could stop. So then i thought if i kissed my hands i wouldn;t have to do it so many times and i wouldn;t have to be late for school anymore and it worked... and now... i just have to do it whenever i do something with them..."
Eve nodded then looked at Sora's parents. "Sora's had MANY different behavoirs in the last four years, many evolving from repetive behavoirs to more advanced and crazy-looking rituals. Thats only one of them. There also seems to be a connection in the brain between the actions and the emotional side of things. Persya, being unable to step within the kitchen without counting the tiles. or trying to rememebr every oens phone number. It's caused by a defect in the emotional side of the brain that caused panic, anxiety and fear. Sora feels if he doesn;t so certian things certain ways something terrible will happen to himself or to the people he loves."

"No." Eve said. "the only crazy peopl;e are the ones who don;t know they are crazy. oppsessive compulsive people, unfortunetly, know how inane or silly their actions are - they just can;t help doing them. but its not untreatable."
"Sio... you can help him." Aeris said hopefully.
"Yes - by medication... which coems with bad side effects or behavoir therapy."

The medication will cost." Eve said. "How much depends onw hat prescription is needed but it can get pricy. The therapy... i'm willing to do for free."
