"It's the day after Thanksgiving!" Sora cried, so very excited. He was jumping up and down, watching his father bring in the tree. They were - if nothing else - traditional. the day after thanksgiving, a tree was cut in and brought to be put up so ornaments and decoration could be put upon it.
It was Sora's favorite time of year. He klvoed the caroling and being in school plays, he loved the christmas speacials especally the Grinch! he loved the presents and finding gifts for his family and friends - even if he was six this concept had not been lost to him. Last year he had tried his best to get gifts for everyone, no matter how silly they seemed to be.
Aeris, his mother, had been laughing uproariously, when she found in her kleenex wrapped box some of her old earrings she had thought she had lost weeks before. It tutrned out - because Sora could not buy anything - he had stolen people's things to wrap and give again.
But this year, Sora knew better. he had to find gifts that people didn;t already have. they needed new things!
And after the tree was decorating and the lights on the house were up he'd begin.

Raichu carried the tree inside the house, Josh was behind him helping him carry the thing inside, how he let Raichu talk him into helping him out... well he did know, Tifa was there and she gave him a death glare that didnt allow him too refuse the king gesture. The two carried it too the end of the family room setting it at the corner not too far away from the fireplace, right where Santa would be sure too drop down and set fire too his fat little bum.
Raichu grinned as they stood it upwards putting it inside the stand " Wow now thats a beauty!" he shouted smirking looking up at his tree.
" You owe me" Josh grumbled looking up at the tree, he had too admit... it was a nice tree, they had cut it down themselves, buying a tree was just too expensive... he was probrably going too end up doing the same thing... then again he had thought about buying one of those plastic trees that you could use over and over again...
Ryten watched with his brother as the two looked at the tree it was huge...! Though he wondered where the candy canes were that hung all over it the year before! The rainbow colored ones... he remembered he and Sora would contantly get in trouble for eating them when told too wait for christmas! But he couldnt help it!

Sora grinned jumping excitedly. "I can;t wait! maybe we can get mommy to string popcorn!" he loved that! he couldn;t help but try and it it though - he loved garnishing the tree with yummy things.
Aeris smiled, walking into the room, casrrying Adan. "It's a beautiful choice." she said.

Raichu glanced over at Aeris and smiled " I thought you might like it! Do we still have the decorations from last year?" he asked looking at her
" Mommy wheres the candy canes!?" Ryten asked suddenly
Josh eyes narrowed at his sister, he wondered if Tifa had taken off with Tenks and Pann...?

"Of course." Aeris said laughing then looked down at Ryten. "I'm not telling you - lest you eat them again."
"Mommmmy can wed make stringy popcorn?" Sora begged.
"And let you eat that instead?"

Ryten pouted looking at his mother running up " Mommy I promise I won't!"
Josh gave a faint smile then turned " I um... ill see you guys later I guess"
Raichu blinked " You and your family are still coming over for christmas dinner right?" he asked smiling at his brother in law
" I uh... well..." Josh eyes narrowed, he knew he didnt have a choice in the matter " Ill see... maybe..."

Aeris giggled. "we'll see."
Sora glanced over at Josh, his little attention span wavering as he ran over to his uncle, hugging his legs. "please uncle please!!! you have ta come! and and we can bring Riku and Kairi too and and!"

It was just a little bit later Ryten and Sora were sitting at a small table in their room, Adan was nearby watching at the two schemed " We have too get the candy canes" Ryten said suddenly drawing a map on a piece of paper, it was a map of what they thought in their own little six year old minds of what the house looked like. " Mommy only has seven different hiding spots, there all marked with red X's!" he said pointing at the paper " But we can't find them which means... do you know what that means sora!?"
" Whats it mean big bwother!?" Adan asked staring at his brothers in utter awe, they were so smart!

Sora grinned excitedly. "It means a scavanger hunt!" he said excitedly. he sure hoped so. he loved searching around for stuff!!

" Well yes... but it also means mom has a new hiding spot that we don't know about!" he pointed at his parents room " It has too bein their room!" he grinned " Sora we will have those candy canes... even if it means our LIVES!"
" Can I get some too?" Adan asked smiling, he didnt even know what a candy cane was but if they wanted them it must be good!
