Sora meanwhile was watching Roxas, curious at why the other was so nervous. In a way... the paopu fruit was like proposing and even marriage itself. At least, thats how islanders who grew up on his world believed. And it was one of the few legends Roxas had always asked to ehar again and again.

"It;s a fruit of course you can eat it!" Roxas said. "considering Sora and Riku live off of it, i determine it;s not poisonious either."

[Rikugurl]

Riku leaned back more, one of his arms sliding off the couch and landing around Sora's shoulders. Maybe if Roxas put it just that simple, the prick would understand.

Axel laughed as he took the fruit from Roxas's hand and studied it. "Well, I don't know if it's not poison or not. I mean, look at them." He looked at Riku and Sora and laughed.

"Hey!" Riku frowned.

"Just kidding~~~" Axel taunted as he looked down at the fruit again. So weird. Then again, he figured a lot of people thought the ice-cream was weird too. He shrugged and took a bight out of the fruit. He already died once, what was worry.

Tasting a Paopu fruit for the first time was... well, quite amazing. He had never tasted anything so full of flavor and it was so juicy. He smiled happily at the taste and took another bright.

[Reno]

Sora pouted at the taunt, laying his head on Riku;s shoulder but didn;t say anything.

Roxas watched his red-haired lover, smiling a bit. once Axel had took the second bite, he couldn;t wait any longer. He softly took the fruit out of his hands and took his own bite. It was... well it was quite an amazing taste. He'd never had a fruit quite like this before!

Sora watched the semi-intimate scene, giggling a bit, and hide his face, unable to stop smiling.

Riku looked down at him and smiled a bit but when Sora went into his girly mode, he just rolled his eyes. He bet he cried while watching sad movies for all he knew.

Axel blinked as the fruit was taken away from him. A pout was given to the blonde. He wanted to eat it... Roxas could always ask Sora fo--
Axel stopped his thought. His green eyes seemed to wonder a bit ass he felt something weird where his heart was. He looked out the window to see the Kingdom glow a little but. What did that mean?

[Reno]

Sora knew Riku probably didn;t approve of his girly actions but he could help it. he LOVED happy endings!

Roxas was about to take another bite when he felt the same sensation Axel did. Kind of like a sharp tug. His eyes darted towards in the window worriedly, and also saw Kingdom Hearts glowing up like a nightlihg.t he stood. "Why is it doing that?" he walked to the window, looking out.

Sora looked up worried, frowning. "What is what?"

[Rikugurl]

Axel frowned and walked to the window too, towering over Roxas. He was worried something would happen to the Kingdom... he didn't want his fears to come true... not right after they finished making this place so great.

Everyone seemed worried, except for Riku.
"Kingdom Hearts is gowning stronger than the Darkness." He put simply.
"Kingdom Hearts is Light. Love is also Light. Every act of real love... I guess makes the Kingdom stronger." That made sense. Seeing that the two had probably done the most loving thing, the Kingdom shown with strength.

"It's nothing to worry about. It's actually a good thing. If the Kingdom gets strong enough with Light... people won't be so afraid of the Darkness...."

Axel looked back at him and blinked. "I just ate a fruit... how did that make it stronger? Does it like me or something??"




....Axel was a complete idiot.

[Reno]

Sora grinned at Riku, liking the almost poetic saying. If kingdom hearts really was getting stronger... then they really did have nothing to worry about anymore. the struggle was over.

I just ate a fruit...

Roxas' brow furrowed, then he looked towards Axel. A very long hush fell over the four, before Roxas grabbed Axel's hand, put the fruit in it. "Axel...?" he started off sweetly, and Sora was the first to realize the hidden malice in that tone.

Smack!

"You're an idiot!" Roxas snapped, then sulked from the room.

[Rikugurl]

Axel blinked as he got smack. Hurt ran over his face as Roxas left the room. What did he say wrong? He... just didn't understand. He looked at Sora and Riku for an explanation. Damnit... he hated when Roxas was mad at him.

Riku couldn't help but chuckle. He knew Axel was a bit slow on things... but that was when he DIDN'T have a heart.

[Reno]

Roxas grumbled, going upstairs towards his room. he;ld probably had overreacted... but god it felt nice. He huffed, laying out on his bed.

Sora shook his head, tsking at the red-head, but he in his good-nature, merely explained. "you really need to go to school or something Axel, in retrospect Roxas just sorta..." he waved his hands, "Well, let me put it this way. People from our world grow up learning that story about the paopu fruit because it;s romantic and cute. i mean, destinies intertwine... and all."

He pausded for a moment then murmured. "To a lot of us... the sharing of a paopu fruit is even more of a loving gesture than... than giving an engagement ring," There he couldn;t make it ANY clearer for the red-head. if he didn;t get it now, he was hopeless.

[Rikugurl]

Axel blinked, gasping a bit as he jerked back. He looked in shock. Yea, then it hit like a brick in his face. He looked up the stairs where Roxas had gone. "An... an engagement?" Ugh, he hated himself.
He sighed, his shoulders slouching. He thought he was doing really well with this heart thing. It seemed he had more to learn.

Sad eyes finally rose to look at the two on the couch. He walked to a desk an looked through some papers on the city. He grabbed two, than a third, walking to the two. "Here.... they're free night stays at the best hotel in Nobodia..." His voice wasn't chipper like it had been before. "We don't have a room for you to stay here... we kind of forgot to make one.... I hope you don't mind...."
He looked at the stairs again. "But... do you think you could find something to do for the rest of the day and come back tomorrow morning?"

Riku took two of the tickets, putting away one for Kairi and one for himself. He looked at it, seeing like it was a nice suite. He looked up at Axel then stood. "Sora and I understand. We'll see you guys in the morning..."

[Reno]

Standing as well, Sora nodded in sympathy, giving Axel a light pat on the shoulder. "Good luck." his brother could be hard to deal with when he was angry. He smiled reassuringly. Though, if Roxas was anything like him, he;d forgive Axel... with time.

The brunette took Riku's hand in his before tugging him towards the front door. "Hey we can go back to the swings."

Roxas glared at a wall heatedly, curling onto that bed. "Stupid son of a..." he cursed under his breath,. Why did it even matter so much?

[Rikugurl]

Axel smiled slightly. "Thanks... Oh! and if anyone gives you a hard time... which I doubt anyway... just let them know you're the brother to one of the leaders... they'll understand..."

Riku nodded, getting tugged away with Sora. They left the house and closed the door behind him. The streets were more busy down below now. It must of been afternoon by now. He wondered... why all the world's time seemed to go so much faster than theirs. He looked down at Sora and smiled. "So... to the swings?"

Axel sighed as the door closed. He was... even too ashamed to go up there. He plopped on the couch and looked at the fruit. It wasn't that he was stupid... just.... how would a fruit be able to do that.... or maybe it was just a symbolism of some sort. He didn't understand... but all he knew was that Roxas was angry at him again.

He sighed, holding his head and shaking it.

[Reno]

Sora gave a nod and smile back to Axel, waving in goodbye, before he and Riku walked outside to the bustling and rustlings of town life. The brunette looked around, then looked at Riku with a wide grin. "Yes!"

Roxas sighed, kicking off his shoes and toed off his socks before getting under the covers. He probably shouldn;t be mad at Axel. He didn;t grow up with this lgend - technically neither had Roxas but a lot of desires and hopes Sora had were ingrained into Roxas' personality to. Sharing a poapu fruit was one of them.

Riku smiled as Sora and he walked hand in hand down the street towards the park again. He didn't know a 18 year old still liking to swing on swings... but then again, he didn't know anyone quite like Sora. That... was indeed a good thing. When they reached the park, there was still a seat available. Sora took it quick quickly. Riku smiled softly as he stood behind, grabbing the chains and tugging back. When he was at the highest he could pull, he let go.
When Sora returned, he pushed his back, making him go higher. He had to admit... this was pretty fun...

The rest of the day consisted of looking around the rest of Nobodia. There were way too many shops for them to look at all in one day... that was probably why Kairi was still missing. However, they were able to get some of that Sea-salt ice cream, and it too became a classic treat for the silver-haired man. They did stop at some stores and ate out where the food seemed exotic. Daring each other to eat weird things. Riku managed to have one of Sora's wish come true... buy getting him a PLUSH of a Moomba, made after their leaders Moomba. It was better than the real thing he thought.

By the time they were done, it was... evening... which they only found out to what the clocktower read, seeing that it was always nighttime here. Again, together, holding hands, they went back to the park and looked around. Crossing a bridge over a man made river, Riku stopped and wrapped his arms around Sora's waist. They stopped in the middle and his ocean eyes looked up at the view of the heart-shaped moon. So... this was what it was like to be romantic.... the kind of thing Sora liked. It... wasn't so bad after all.

"There you guys are~~" Came a voice about 15 minutes later. A woman with bright eyes walked towards them with tons of bags. "How were your friends??"



Axel on the other hand didn't have the best day. He left the Moomba outside to exercise and play while he cleaned up the whole bottom of the house. Even if it didn't need to be cleaned, he cleaned it. All that went through his head was how big of an idiot he really was. He basically looked at an engagement ring and shrugged it off. It wasn't like he didn't care... After awhile, he couldn't find anything left to do and opened the back door to let his pet in.

The Moomba walked in sluggishly and collapsed on its bed. Why was it so tired?? He looked at the clock and blinked. Well... maybe playing for 11 hours straight could of done that. It was now 9pm. He sighed as he looked up at the stairs. He hadn't even come down for food.... he must of been really pissed. He shook his head and pulled his hair out of the ponytail, slowly heading for the stairs.

He walked up quietly and saw their bedroom door closed. Slowly, he walked towards in and pressed his ear to the wall. Silence. Bitting his lip, he pressed his back against the door and slid down it, putting his elbows on his knees.

"Roxas...."
Silence.
"Roxas.... I'm sorry...."
Nothing.
He closed his eyes and sighed, then looked up at the hallway ceiling.
"I love you Roxas..."
He didn't think he needed a fruit to prove how much he loved the other boy....
"Got that memorized?"

[Reno]

The day had been exhileratingly wonderful. Swinging on the swing, eatting some of the most insane foods, trying sea-salt ice cream - well ok he already knew the tatse thanks to roxas but it was still wonderful, like he was trying it for the first time just because Riku was there.

It had been like a real date, and the best spin on it all was the little mommba he had been giving - eve if it was a plush toy. Maybe it should worry him that a stuffed animal made him squeal like a girl would have...

And when Riku led him to the bridge he was left in speechless wonder and full of so much love he worried his heart would burst.

And then Kairi came. Not that she ruined the mood too terribly, they needed to get to bed soon. it was late. He waved to the red, head, smiling. "They;re having relationship troubles." Who knew a fruit could cause such problems?


Roxas meanwhile was left staring at the endless abyss of his room, unwilling to go down and too upset to so anything else. He paced around his room, he cursed, he tried to sleep (failed) he even, shamefully, got close to tears.

And each time he kept trying to figure out why he was so pissed. It wasn;t really Axel's fault, shouldn;t he forgive the other? It;s not like he HAD to believe in the stupid legend... no matter how much Roxas loved it...

The truth was the moment Sora had shared the story with him he had been enchanted. And ever since he and Axel had gotten their hearts back... it was that legend that kept lingering in the back of his mind, just waiting to be fulfilled.

Roxas had been sititng on the floor, his legs crossed and arms held out, trying to either meditate or get calm when Axel had interuppeted.

"Roxas..."
The blonde did not answer. But Axel was speaking so quietly, that he had to turn his head.
"Roxas... I'm sorry..."
he said nothing, merely stood turning to face the door. on the other side was the pyro, waiting for a response.
"I love you Roxas..."
His breath caught in his throat, and he silently walked towards the door.
There was another pause between them.
"Got that memorized?" Axel was sounding a little desperate.

The blonde laid a hand on the door, then answered. "Yeah, i got it memorized." his voice sounded choked up, as if he were crying.
