Leola. It was a simple town - neither proesperious nor poor. Everyone worked hard to get the life they had, and recent inflation was making living hard.
Everyone including the Hojo family. Especally one certain part of it.
Rina, mother of five kids - Riku, Zecco, Elly, Diego and Dimitri - with two spouses - Diana and Maxwell, struggled just as much - if not more then anyone else. being with such a large family it was hard to provide for them all but their no less love to share. she adored all her children, their were hardly any fights between her wife and husband... no life was good. she considered herself lucky.
She even kept good ties with her siblings, which nowadays in american culture, was a very hard thing to do.
But today, a simple question was going to wreck havoc among the family. it was going to turn things into something... well different.
So, as they sat there at the table at the dinner table, eating a simple meal of spaggeti, Rina spoke. "Riku, Zecco, Elly, your school called me today."
"but wait i havent even started there yet!" Elly complained. now this was strange. it was the start of summer and the next school year was not to start for another three monthes! She was to become a freshmen. "it was them!" she pointed at her brothers accusingly.
Rina chuckled. "no one is in trouble."
