The Taming of the Darkness... uh 2!

OOC: well since i don;t think my eyes are fooling me... i believe i shall try and... continue from where we left off? *looks around* *thinks about this*

Background: This continues from Destiny Islands. Sora and Kairi are the king and queen of Radiant Gardens - were crowned at eighteen. It has been six years since then. They have had three children - Yolei a five year old girl with purple eyes and brown hair, a three year old boy named Takuya with spiky red hair and green eyes and a baby girl Chiko who had black hair and blue eyes.
As king and queen, Sora and Kairi must handle many things - the wealth dispersed, the alliances made, the buildings created. They take care of much but are always genrous and they listen toevery person's need.
Along with them, Riku and Iris live at the castle as well. Riku is the king;s advisor and the first knight - a job he;d wanted since his young childhood. Iris is a healer, though only moderate at best compared to her mother she is skilled in her cetra art. At 18, Iris got married to Riku, and now they have a two year old son named Kouji - who holds the trademark silver hair and his mother's forest green eyes.
Also, Rina works at the castle as a scenitist and a medicine creator. She handles what Iris can not in times of need and is always one of Sora's best sources of knowledge. She is just simply happy to have a bigger lab then the one in her basement.
As for the rest of Sora's family, they have decided to walk their own paths - either staying at Destiny Islands or traveling the space for whatever they wish. They all do visit at times and Sora constantly reminds them that they are are all welcome to stay whenever they like.

Ryten is one such brother. He, in recent times, had married Orihime Inoue - a beautiful woman from the world called Karakura. Though ditzy at times, she holds some magical power - healing and protecting mostly. Ryten and Orihime, however, have not yet have had a child - it is suspected that Ryten is sterile but he at current, is too afarid and emmbarrassed by this defect to search for help - and though his mother has advised him to go to a doctor, he will not listen - in fact he was so angry at this notion that he snapped at Aeris and ran off.
Adan, another brother, has at length traveled to some worlds but for the most part he had found his own home in Destiny. He, sadly, feel very inadequete compared to his older and stronger siblings. To him, it seems even Kenji is stronger.

Before i get to far ahead of myself, lets explain the story so far.

All is never calm for long. The hylden still run free, Hatori is out there and new threats are coming to birth.
premonitions were being made. Magus, the old guardian elf of Raichu and Aeris' previous world, came to the battle-hardened warrior, warning Raichu of things to come and his near death. Though Raichu did not seen to want to believe his death was upon him, he remembered the predicitons of a witch long ago, who told him the same such words. he staied silent however, he could never tell Aeris. he would not let himself die.
Also, at a ball hosted at the Gardens castle, Hatori finally appeared. His demeaneor was strange, his dialogue in riddles but his threats true. He told Sora that he was going to capture his children and feed them to the Hylden, and that he would take Kairi as his own. Sora was angered by this and told Hatori he;d never let him, that he would protect them with his life.
But once Hatori had gone, Kairi became worried. she did not want her husband to fight and die. meanwhile Riku advised Sora to go to Raichu and inquire about some of the things Hatori had said.

However, Sora was still quite cross with his father - after all it was Raichu who had overreacted when he had hurt Kenji and was ignorant to Raine;s absence six years ago - and Sora in a rage fought his father and was thrown from the house - told never to return.

He never did.

But now he has returned but no less angry. the two fought a bit and Raichu demanded to know what wrong he had really done while Sora was left unable to repond. Though the fight seemed over, Sora's anger was still in his heart.
Neveertheless, Raichu told Sora the things he needed to know. The hylden - creatures the cetra had sealed had somehow been released and they were after his mother and siblings and cousins too! But he was told of a worse threat, even moreso then Hatori. He was told of Deathsiege. a demon from the depths of hell, so terrible that the universe could be destroyed if he was revived. If that was who Hatori was trying to help rise, they were all in grave danger.

However, when Sora returned, he returned to chaos. His kingdom was in disarray, heartl;ess ran amuck, destroying his home. The world had been unsealed - by none other then Hatori. Though the keyblade wielder jumped into the fray and helped his army fight, Hatori swooped down quickly and the two fought a mighty battle. Though, when it appeared Sora was winning, a new demon appeared. Malekai.
Malekai, it seemed, had been using Hatori;s body as a host, and now he was free. He demanded from Sora the wherabouts of Raichu and Aeris, and when Sora refused Malekai suffocated the townspeople, letting them hang on a threat of life. Sora helpless... told him - Malekai left, and his people were saved.
But Raichu was in danger.
Hatori took this opportunity and struck Sroa through with the dark keyblade, and Sora... was seperated - a nobody and anheartless once again. And though Riku and Rina tried to stand in his way, Hatori got to Kairi... and took her.

Back at Destiny, Adan, bashful and saddened, inquired to his father of his worth. Raichu amended the boys fears, told him he was part of this faily and loved like everyone else, no matter what his siblings did. Adan would always be himself and they would be proud of him.
Malekai cut the talk short however, proudly annuing that Sora had been killed and attcking Raichu. Raichu, overcome by anger at his words but unmatched to the demon's strength, fought and lost. Adan, angered, joined the fray and was hurt as well.
Aeris joined the scene not long after, horrified by what she saw. She tried to heal both of them, But Maleki would not allow it. instead he attacked her, his strikes meant to kill.
Adan struggled to help but was only smacked back down again.
Angered, Raichu fought through the pain of his wounds and fought Melaki back, saving his wife and son. Malekai, surprised by Raichus new power, fled.

OOC: damn this is gonna take forever. Let's see what was next?

After Malekai had left, Raichu, worried of the demon;s words went to go find his first born son, and Aeris followed him.
However, it was to their shock that they came upon a desolte and broken Radiant Gardens. the town ablaze, the castle in shambles and no one was left but heartless and Hylden. They searched dutifully, but just as Raichu was beginning to believe their was nothing and no one to find...
out stumbled a familar blonde nobody. Roxas. he was sharp-tongued and short-tempered, scared for Kairi unknwowing to where Soras was and uncertain of what these people thought of him.
However, Raichu and Aeris welcomed him just like they always had. he was there son no matter what being he was. it calmed Roxas greatly, and he asked them for help. he needed to find Kairi.

Meanwhile the said redhead queen was in Hatori's clutches. Though he acted sweet and nice to her, it was a ruse. Deathsiege wanted her as his sacrifice and though Hatori refused, the minute Kairi tried to come upon his room to kill him, he attempted to rape her - and succeeded had not Magus intervened and turned the time back. The elf took her away and brought her back to safety - to Destiny Islands.

However, though Roxas was thrilled, Kairi was not, unable to forget the experience even after it never technically happened, she was unable to be happy nor did she want Roxas. She wanted to see Sora...
Roxas was angered by her flippant attitude, and tried to reach out to Namine, to get her to give Kairi a clear head, but Kairi instead fought with Roxas and she told him she hated him.
Roxas, hurt and feeling betrayedm ran from the room,. had it not been for Ryten telling the blonde that even if he was a nobody he still was Sora, he still had his feelings, the blonde might never have returned.
Though they were shaky at first, Kairi and Roxas headed out with a agreed goal in mind. Find their children.
At the same time, Rina and Riku, safe but alone, could not help but also want to search for there missing family. Iris and Kouji were out there somewhere, alone and possibly hurt, and driven by his possessive need to protect them Riku had to look and Rina could not help but agree.

From town to town, world to world, they went, looking fiercely, but found nothing. But finally Kairi had a break through. What of Traverse Town?
However, Hatori caught their thoughts short. He demanded to have Kairi back, but Roxas possessively stood in front of her, protecting her.
However, Hatori brought in a wild card, a cage... and within that cage was a heartless, but one so strikingly familar to the two their was no mistake. It was Sora, tattered and bloody from torture but no less fierce. He urged his nobody to run, to forget of him and save Kairi. The staied true to their words, they would put their lives on the line for her.
And even with a sword to Sora's neck, Roxas did not give in. he instead created a dark portal and threw Kairi in before he ran for Hatori. the cage was flung and the two fought but it was quickly determined that Roxas did not have enough dstrength to win. without his other half, there was no hope.
Hwoever, Hatori made a fatal mistake by forgetting Sora. the little heartless was free from his cage and he joined the fray. Hatori, outmatched, ran into a dark protal to search for Kairi. Sora and Roxas didn;t pause though, they followed.

Instead, they found... Malekai. In a surprising twist, Malekai turned Sora back into his original form only to suffocate both boys to near death. he also taunted the poor boy, telling him he was an orphan and that his blood would never match his parents. had not Roxas have acted quickly to distract the demon to give the two time to run, they would have died.
It was a quick trek to finding Kairi and soon the two remerged and headed for Traverse Town.

Meanwhile, Kenji, Sora's younger brother, was wandering an unfamilar world without a clkue of where he was. It seemed he had been visiting Sora when the attack happened but he was lucky enough to escape without getting hurt.
Unfortunately for this hot-tempered boy, he landed on one of the worst worlds possible - the world owned by the rest of Riku and Rina's family.
Crimson, the beauiful daughter of Eve and Sol badguy, was the one to stumble upon him. instinctively, she interrogated the boy, drawing her sword on him just like she had always been taught. outsiders were never welcome.
But Kenji had been taught as well - to never give up and always fight back. the two got into a little scuffle, and the boy was surprised to find that for all the girl's fragile looking nature, she was stronger then she looked. Alas, he was overtaken by her beauty as well, and she strangely enamored by his charm. the next thing the quarreling boy and girl new, they were kissing as if they always had.
It was not to be for long. Malekai, angered to see his past love with the san boy, cruelly intervened, hurting Kenji and holding him down, before turning on Crimson. By making her look into his eyes, he brought forth her forgotten past, and she rememebred everything - from heaven to being a demon queen alongside Malekai to loving Kenji.
But in this life, she was not hungry for power, he could not manipulate her like he used to. she refused his offers, backed away from his advances and fought back fiercely. But Malekai, as always, proved to be the stronger of the two. It didn;t take much to force her too the ground, and as he began to rip away her clothes, Crimson could do nothing but cry out for help.
Malekai made a mistake, he forgot Kenji. the boy, won over completely by her, used hidden strength within him to rip Malekai away. Though Crimson was grateful, she was also uncertain because Kenji had always lost to the demon before, gotten hurt terribly...
But today Kenji showed his strength and Malekai fled for the moment. He knew he could not face the enraged San.
Calmer, Kenji transported himself and Crimson away to his room. And Crimson, unwilling to allow Malekai to steal from her what she always wanted to give to Kenji, advanced on the boy. Surprised yet pleanstly responsive to her seduction, the two made love and at the moment are pleasantly happy, though Crimson ahd warned the boy that one day they will have to tell her parents... and his own.

Meanwhile, Sora and Kairi were stumbling along. Reaching Traverse Town, Sora was enthralled and it was with childlike wonder he retook in the first world he ever visited. He couldn;t help but race up the steps and dance back in forth to see what had changed.
Kairi regarded his actions with a smile, but the truth was all she wanted to be with was her children, and she wouldn;t allow her husband not to know it.
Suddenly serious, Sora agreed, and taking his wife;s hand he led her into the third district where his suspicion was that his children would be in the old home he used to have. curious, Kairi wondered aloud if this world had been Sora's home during that time so long ago. Strangely saddened Sora agreed with the statement but pronounced that is just hadn;t been the same without his brother, father, her and Riku.
However the time for talk was short, because they soon came upon the little shack. Sora, hopeful, knocked on the door.
It was opened by a very familar sister. Iris was shocked yet joyous to see her brother and sister-in-law. two people she had thought were dead. she hugged them both, nearly crying in relief.
But the surprise were not over, Yolei ran from the door, yelling out happyily for her parents. the overjoyed parents hugged her, unable to contain there happiness at seeing the girl. When Kairi questioned her on the whereabouts of her other children, Yolei told her that they were all inside and soon the little girl was leading her mother inside to go see them.
Calm, Sora could only smile. his family was safe.
However Iris could not help but question, had he seen Riku? it was with a heavy heart that Sora told his deeply in-love sister that no he had not but he promised to go look for him just like he always had.
Kairi, understandingly sad as well, she knew how much and how long Iris had loved the silver-haired man, could only try to lighten the mood and threaten that if Sora didn't, he be on the couch for a year.

Needless to say, Sora headed out.

Riku and Rina were still seraching valiantly, but turning up with nothing. And on the same world, Sora, with his brother Ryten, was looking for Riku. Though he knew he'd find Riku, Sora could not qualm some of his worries. Jusdt as Ryten was noting that Sora was so like their father, Sora could not help but address words that Malekai had told him. he wondered to Ryten, did he think he was an orphan. Ryten, appaled and shocked to hear his brother ever say such a thing, told him he was being an idiot for believeing a demon and that he would break their mother;s heart if she ever heard it. did he not realize that Raichu had nearly lost Ayane over Aeris and him?
Sora, feeling better, noted that sometimes Ryten could be the older brother and he was grateful to him.
At that same moment Rina picked up on their energy signals. She was shocked but happy to feel Sora because unbeknownst to her, she still thought the boy was split.
It was a race accross town to reach the two, but Riku and Rina found the boys. Riku, unable to help himself, jumped in front of the two, scaring Sora and angering Ryten. The two boys always seemed to have qualms.
It was with a happy heart though that Sora told Riku that Iris and Kouji were safe at Traverse town and Orihime Kairi and his kids was there too. And without anymore delay, the four headed out back to Traverse Town.

Meanwhile, Magus came to Aeris and Raichu again, but this time it was to tell the woman that she would have to sacrifice herself in order to save the universe. This fight would mean not only Raichu's death, but Aeris' as well.
Though she was willing to accept her fate, Raichu would never allow it. he fought wiuth Magus, telling him to not involve his wife, but Magus only fought back, yelling of how the boy wasn;t even from this world.
The world stung Raichu and he backed off, but Aeris followed him, trying to calm him. Raichu, feeling betrayed, asked her if she always had known. she consented that she had but it had never mattered to her, so why should it to him?
But Raichu still did not want his wife to put herself in danger, she did not want her to die. Aeris fought back, saying that soemthing needed to be done and she could do it. If it killed her and saved many, then that was ok. Besides Ayane was probabl lonely.
Raichu, stricken by her first wife's name and fearful of what was going on, couldn't help but ask what if there is no afterlife?
Aeris could only assure him that, without a doubt, there was. But it changed nothing. Raichu rpomised he;d protect her, that he wouldn;t let her die and that she should trust him like she always had.
Aeris, eyes full of tears, could no longer argue. She did not want her husband to die, she did not want her children to die, but until the time arised, she could do nothing but feel weask and helpless. But in the back of her mind, she promised to herself that she would make a difference.

And now we come to where are story is being spun from. Sora, Riku and Ryten are sharing coffee, trying to plan out something together - but Riku and Ryten make it difficult. they two can not help but fight, and though Sora commands them to stop, the two can not help it.
Sora tries to turn the conversation inward, thinking of all the dangers being proposed to them. The hylden who were after cetra, Hatori who was after him, Malekai who no one really knew of his true goals and then this other threat, this master that was no doubt worse then Malekai. Anything worse... how could they possibly stand up to it?
Ryten, always concerned about his younger brother, then suddenly adds in about Adan. Had anyone seen him? Sora tells him that yes he had but two months before the attack. he couldn;t help but mention that the boy had seemed saddened, but he would not talk to him about it and relayed that Adan had wanted to see Ryten.
Hwoever Ryten relays that he had not seen his brother recently and was still worried about him.

And now to the story.

Sora frowned, taking another sip of his drink. "I do remember that Adan said he was going to head for home... to Destiny that is. maybe we should all go there too. it would be... safer for all of us."

Ryten thought momentarily " Hime... I left her back... in Traverse Town..." he said staring downwards, thinking of her also made him think of his little problem... and going home meant he would have too face his mother... after what he said...

[Reno]

Sora looked at his brother, frowning a bit. he recognized the reluctant tone his brother was taking and he knew why too. he sighed. "Ryten..." he shook his head "it;s... it;s up to you but.... i think it would be a good idea." he glanced towards Riku curiously looking for agreement.

if there families were together... they could protect them...

[Jade]

Riku nodded " I agree, were stronger when were together, separated... thats when they can take us apart right?"

Ryten looked up at the two " since when have we ever been together?" Ryten asked looking at Riku glaring slightly

[Reno]

Sora huffed. "I told you to quit it." he snapped to Ryten. "we can;t be fighting each other. we have worse problems."

[Jade]

Ryten stood suddenly " Yea im so sure" he grumbled looking at him

[Reno]

Sora looked at his brother, then stood as well. "i'm serious Ry!" he looked between the two. "i don;t know what your guys' problems are with each other and personally i don;t care but right now the people we care about are in danger, does that mean nothing?"

[Jade]

" Your brother is just selfish" Riku muttered looking at him

" Selfish!?"

[Reno]

"Riku!" Sora admonished, then groaned. "that isn;t going to help..."

[Jade]

Ryten scoffed glaring at him then turned " Fuck you!" he shouted as he started too walk away

Riku glared " asshole thats right run away just like you always have whenever a problem arrises!"

[Reno]

"Ryten!" Sora cried, lookingrom one to the other, but he was helpless to stop this. "Riku don;t say that." he hissed.

[Jade]

" Why not Sora!? You know its true damnit! Look at him!" he pointed towards Ryten

Ryten scoffed just walking away, he didnt... he didnt need them!

[Reno]

"i..." he looked down, struggling to find the right words, then looked up at Ryten's back frowning. "no it;s not... he just follows his own path..." he suddenly continued, but there was no malice in his tone. "he just sometimes forgets his family along the way." he looked at Riku pointedly, because the other boy had done such things as well before.
