I was startled. My wings folded back into my back and I turned to Ryten. "No. I'm not an--" The rain was pouring harder. "I don't know what I am. I was born this way. Please don't be scared." he stood there is awe. My skirt was wet once more. I choked. What do I do now? Run?

Ulrica swallowed, "we both where.... we don;t know anything all we know is we were gifted... and damned."
Ulrica was shaking and she moved closer to Noa hugged her legs. she was acting like a child but she felt she was protected this way.

Slowly he aproached her "dont worry im not afraid. I have no reason to be at all." he had a smile on his face then he turned towards Ulrica "dont be afraid im not here to harm you. your wings do not frighten me at all. Trust me my name is ryten im from nibelheim im just a stranger in these parts." He then looked towards Noa "im not afraid at all there just wings you know nothing to be scared of." He smiled at her but felt the rain pouring down every time it hit his body it irritated him but he didnt show it.

Ulrica was looking at him still uncertain and she held onto Noa tighter. she had been lied to a lot in her life. how did she know she could trust him?

I calmed down. the stranger who was grabbing her legs was shaking. I looked at Ryten. I smiled. I felt his sadness. I took out my angel wings again and streached them over him. "I'll keep you dry........for your mother's sake."

Ulrica sensed afeeling she never thought she would feel since her birthhood. non-belonging. she felt like... if she ran away it wouldn;t matter. she almost wanted to but if she left the one of her own kind... what would she do?

Ryten looked at her shocked "what... how did you. How do you know about my mother. Did you know her?" He asked in a serious voice. He didnt know how that she could know of his mother at all his mother died long ago when he was only a boy and from what he saw Noa looked younger than him by atleast 2 or 3 years. "please how is it you know of her she died long ago how could you know?"

Ulrica curled up closer to Noa. the tears still falling where not noticable but she could feel the sadness as well running around him like sparks. she wanted to comfort him but every time she tried she was afarid of what would happen.

"i don't know how I know your mother, I just do." I looked down at the creature. I toot its arm and picked it off the ground. Its legs were weak and i had to drag it up to me. I held it tight in my arms. "I wont let you go." I looked at Ryten. "This is my friend. he wont harm you." The creature still seemed shakey. I rubbed my face against .......hers. I put my other wing over her which left me the only one in the rain.

Slowly ryten walked to the edge of the room and sat down with his legs dangling. He was staring down he didnt want help from the rain he felt it would be best just to deal with it. He sighed he hated thinking of his mothers death it always made him cry even now that he was a man. He had one small tear come from his right cheek he hated thinking about it. He didnt want them to notice so he put up the sides of his coat covering his face. He was tough he shouldnt be crying at all but that was the one thing that always made him cry. "why couldnt you of been there dad..." he whispered silently.

Ulrica had a werid feeling shoot through her. this felt so... different. it was caring. she never knew this. but it made her smile and move closer, "you'll get wet to... we all should get out of the rain."
She glanced over to Ryten. she frowned slightly. she wished she could help him.

I put my hand on the creature's shoulder and smiled. i then put my wings in my back and walked to Ryten. I sat down next to him and put my arm around him. "Please, we must get out of the rain. you'll get a cold." I smiled at him but he didn't look at me. I choked once more. i could not longer cry. I had cried all my life. teras never formed anymore. His tear made me sad. he had saved me from another beating and who knows what else. "Please. take my body if it would make you feel better."

Ulrica was shocked to hear it. she'd give her body to him? Ulrica frowned and shook her head. now she still felt like she didn't belong. she didn;t want to leave though. this was scareing her though.

Ryten looked at her sadly "I cant do that... you shouldnt ever offer yourself to anybody but the one you love understand that is a sacred thing for you and him who ever that is to have nobody else, and im not going to take that from you." He then looked down at the ground towards the street he hated remembering his mothers death the loud gun shot that sounded everything. Slowly he stodd up "im going inside i cant stand it out here not like this."

Ryten jumped off and returned inside the Inn. i looked down and sighed. I then stood up and looked over at the creature. She seemed so fragile. "Please, I'm sorry. I would like to know your name. My name is--Noa." the creature stood silent. "My body........is not important to me. My mind is what I need. Do you understand?" Still silence. "Do you have a human form?"
