Surrounded by Mountains

[Reno]

Hojo shivered as the cold wind whipped by. Why president ShinRa thought they could find anything on the Northern continent was beyond him. What he hated though was the fact that it was fucking freezing. Going through snowy mountains was not his idea of a 'temproary vacation.'

he glanced back and smiled slightly. at least he had his college friends still. unlucky that they ended up working for ShinRa. they thought it would be great but...

There was Lucrecia right behind him. she was adorible. he had loved her the minute he saw her and they were dating shamelessly. he still needed to propose to her though... he would knw when the time was right.

Behind her was Gast. Gast was his best friend and the head of the science department. he was jealous but he knew Gast was a much better scientist them himself.

Ilfana was next to him huddled close for warmth. he knew she liked Gast a lot and Gast liked her back. he was dumbfounded though because they wouldn;t date!

and behind them was the leader of the turks, Vincent Valentine. Hojo's eyes narrowed. he was getting wary of the man. he;d seen the way the other man looked at Lucrecia. personally he didn;t like it. not at all. he didn;t know why they needed a bodyguard anyways. monsters or no!

Hojo walked back to be next to Lucreecia and walked with her, "you doing ok?"

OOC: ok... its a before fic! um... its basically centered around the whole they find Jenova and then the whole neilblem thing. as for characters i control Hojo and Ilfana and you control Lucrecia Gast and Vincent. lets just say Ilfana doesn;t know she;s an ancient yet ok?

Lucrecia nodded slightly " Yeah... ill be fine..." she shivered slightly " its just really cold thats all..."

Vincent frowned watching Hojo... he was taking Lucrecia away from him... theyd been together for so long and now there was nothing he could do about it... he sighed shaking his head.

Gast looked ahead holding Ifalna close he sighed shaking his head " you doing ok? I told you to wear more than just a coat and a dress you know?"

[Reno]

Hojo wrapped an arm around her drawing her closer and smiled, "yeah i know. i;d like to kill that bastard for sending us here."

Ilfana giggled, "i know but you know me. i can;t help myself. i'm just so unprepared."

[Jade]

" yes but... its work though..." she shivered leaning against him " what are we suppost to find anyway?"

" I guess..." Gast smiled at her then looked ahead " I just hope we find this thing and fast"

[Reno]

"Mako supplements. i swear he;s obsessed with it." he shook his head, "oh well... at least it proides us with electricity."

Ilfana nodded.

[Jade]

" there are other ways to get electricity..." she said with a frown on her face " using Mako is too dangerous"

Gast sighed shaking his head then glanced over at Vincent " how you doing over there?"
" fine..." he said silently

[Reno]

"not our choice," Hojo said curtly and sighed.

[Jade]

" I know..." Lucrecia pulled away slightly and sped up " lets just hurry"

[Reno]

Hojo blinked and grinned following her, "you always were the quick one."

when they reached the top they came to a crater. Hojo looked around in wondermnt, "wow... this is amazing." he led them down the trail and they got out of the wind quickly so it was less cold.

Ilfana looked around, "i wonder what hit it..."

[Jade]

" Looks like an ancient prison?" Gast said walking further out " I studied them at the city of the ancients when i was their a few years back"

Lucrecia blinked " what do you mean...? its not a prison its beautiful..."

[Reno]

Hojo smiled. as they continued to walk, "i agree with Lucre" he found it tiring to say her full name at times and he loved to shorten it. it always annoyed her.

[Jade]

" Cia" she added walkign further out " what do you think is in here?"

[Reno]

"thats why were here," Ilfana said with a smile, "to find out."

as they continued walking they came to a huge mako pool.

Hojo gasped but not because of the mako. right in the middle crsytalized was a mako tower that rasied above the pool like a glacier. Inside that glacier though was an alien. some sort of creature, "i think we just discovered something totally different."

[Jade]

Gast stood forward aproaching the thing " oh my god..."

[Reno]

Ilfana shook her head frowning then winced rubbing her temples. she;d been getting these headaches so often...

Hojo licked his lips, "Gast... we've got to study her."
