Eve blinked in surprise, "well... this is going to seem like a poor reason but... i became an officer because when i was in school i was always picked on for being mute. so i joined so i could seem well... more important and better then they'd ever thought i could be. you'd be surprised at how many people i caught that had once tortured me in school.
