A teenager was sitting under a tree in the late afternoon. He had been asleep for a few hours in the shade. He held a sword close to his body, as if it was a teddy bear. Two large goat horns stuck out of his head and curved to the back. His brown hair was down to his shoulders. He wore loose clothing and a red headband. A few yards away from him was a broken post, smashed in half by his sword.

The area around them had grown residentiallly... a few homes where built a few miles away. A young girl named Felicia with long blonde hair knelt down next to him staring at him oddly, it seemed like him and that sword where unseperatable. She then shook his " ruinic wake up, I thought id find you here. Skipping school again?"

Ruinic blinked and grabbed his sword. He flung it up and the tip touched Felicia's thoat. He looked up and sighed. "Oh...it's just you...what are you doing here?"

She stared at him blankly pulling away " I just... just came to see what you... where doing...." she said trembling slightly

"Oh...well...don't wake me up like that ok?" He stood up and sheathed his sword. He was about 6 feet tall, built but slim. "I wasn't skipping school...I was...just...catching up with some moves."

" right... doing anything outside of school ruinic while its still going is skipping" she said standing up " dont your parents get mad?"

"They don't know about it..." He looked back at her ahdn frowned, "And they don't need to...as in keep your mouth shut ok?" He sighed and scrathed his head.

" alright..." she sighed leaning against the tree brushing her hair out of her face " youll never get anywhere in life though swinging that thing around though" she said with a frown on her face " Ruinic im your friend I just want to help... you know...?"

He looked back at her and sighed. "Yea...I know...but it's what I do best, I don't feel right at school...like I don't belong there." He sighed and he looked at her.

She just stood there watching him... she didnt know what to tell him at all... well it wasnt that he wasnt smart he just didnt try, and she could see that!

Ruinic walked up to the house and went inside. He sighed as he walked up to his bedroom and sat on his bed. He yawned and placed his sword on the wall. Why was she always around?

She frowned turning around and started to head home, shed known him since kindergarden... hed always tried to distance himself from everyone... was it her guilt for him that always made her talk to him? She shook her head " I just dont get him"

He walked to the window and looked out. He watched her untill she was out of view. He sighed looking at himself in the window. He didn't look human at all...His eyes were oval, not round. And those horns...they gave it away. He sighed again and looked at the hill that she disappeared on. "Am I in love....?"
