Rina moaned a bit but smiled up at him, "i love you too."
Rufus looked at her evenly. he didn;t approve of the way she was acting. in fact he admitted he was downright cold to her when it came to his family against her. but even she refused to help Diana. he wondered breifly if what all Sephiroth did could compare to this or would this be worse? he couldn;t imagine the pain Diana must be feeling. well actually he could... but not this prolonged.

Rufus stood and walked over to her and looked at her straight in the eye, "Pann, it doesn;t matter what YOU feel. it matters what she feels. and right now she;s feeling horrible enough to kill herself. isn;t there any way you can convince her life is still worth living?"

Pann shook her head " I dont care Rufus..." she said looking away from him " your just trying to trick me into liking your family... I am so god damn sick and tired of hearing about your damn family!"

Rufus' eyes lowered and pain flashed in his eyes and he whispered, "then i'll leave and you'll be free of me forever. that'll make you happy apparently." he stood his eyes holding sadness and he turned and walked out of the house.

Pann stared blankly, it took a while to realize what had just happend... " Rufus no..." suddenly she got up as she ran out the door after him and grabbed his arm " Rufus you cant leave me... you cant just walk out on me and the kids like that!" she stared at him with tears in her eyes, she couldnt imagine living without him.

Rufus looked at her once over then rasied an eyebrow, "what you're feeling right now is a trillion times worse for your sister you know that? i don;t know Pann, you seemed convinced 5 years ago you could take care of the kids without me. and apparently... i'm starting to wonder what happened to us. i still love you i always will, but... sixteen years abgo when we first found each other i saw a girl who loved me, who was willing to listen to me and trust me. what happened to that?"

Pann stared at him blankly " you arent your family..." she said holding onto his hand tightly " but fine... leave... throw away 16 years of marriage..." she said letting go of his hand as she started to back away " you dont care anymore... about me or the kids!" she shouted as her tears only got worse " ive worked so hard to give you everything that you ever wanted because you could never get a job... and this is the thanks I get... I see where my love for you has gotten me... nothing at all..."

Rufus' resolve was breaking. he had to do something fast to get it through her head before he was the one crying and begging for her back. how did she do this to him!? she reached over taking her chin in his hand and looked straight into her eyes, "Pann... my family IS me. i couldn;t have done it without them and hell i wouldn;t be here if it weasn;t for them! so many times they have saved me. i owe them so much and i love them. they were all i had growing up. i'm surronded by a world that HATES me. and even some of us can;t find solance with the family we marry into cause theres so much god damned hate! if someone doesn;t go help the people around us who will?! you're sister is in hell right now and you can;t care even to even go see her! how bad is that?!"

Pann pulled away from him as she backed up " I cant... I couldnt tell her anything..." she turned around and started to walk off " I know im not perfect but... if you want to leave me go ahead... ill just tell the kids that... you went away for a very long time..."
