Sage's father walked into Sage's room and turned on the light. Sage sat up and looked at his father in fear. His father walked to Sage's desk and went through all the papers and cubbes. He found a stack of papers and growled. "Is this what you do in your free time!?" he glared at his son. "yes father..." His father walked to the fireplace and threw the papers into the crackling fire. Tears ran down Sage's cheek as he saw his drawings go up in flames. His father growled and left the room, slamming the door.

Tay's eyes opened as his father picked him up by his collar and scowled. Tay's noise sacrunched up at the smell of whisky on his father's breath.
"get to bed." was the only thing said and Tay was thrown to the floor. he scrambled to his feet and ran hastily to his room.

Sage watched as his drawing crumble under the fire and sighed, wipping the tears away. he turned and laid down, closing his eyes. He hated his life so much. No one understood him...no one saw his talent.

Tay hid under his covers and shiveired. he so deeply wished his older brother hadn;t run away without him. he really missed him. now what would he do with no one near tp protect him? his life was really going downhill...

In the morning, Sage woke up by the bell of his clock. He crawled out of bed and started to put on his school clothes. He winced as he felt his side and sighed. That's right....he was attacked. He walked to the closet and put on his coat. He ran downstairs and grabbed his lunchbox. He ran out the door and down the street before his parents awoke.

Tay saighed opening hi window and jumping out. there was no way in hell he would even think of going through the house. his father was awake. he's be dead before he got to the front door. Tay sighed and walked towards school.

Sage walked down the crowded halls to his locker. He was in the 3rd grade. He was stuck in the middle school oddly enough. The grades ranked from 2nd grade to 7th grade. This was his second year at the all boy private school.
As he got to his locker, his eyes widened. His locker was open and tons of scraps of paper were flying out of it. He ran over and looked into it. All his hidden drawings had been ripped into small pieces. Tears ran down his cheek. He had put his heart into those drawings. He hit the floor and started to sob while the other boys started to laugh at him.

Tay sighed running into the school. he glanced around frowning and started walking down a hall. 3rd grade. school just seemed to be getting harder by the minute. Tay's wonderings didn;t get far. he heard laughs. but not the kind of laughs thst were made about a joke. they were cruel laughs. he frowned. walked foreward seeing a crowd of boys laughing and then he heard it. crying. his eyes narrowed, "whats going on!?"

It was the 5th graders who had done this. The ones who had tried to kill him the day before. "Yea, that's right...cry it up you little faggot!" The group continued to laugh as the leader walked up behind Sage. He grabbed Sage's long black hair and pushed his head into the locker. Sage winced and started to cry harder.

Tay frowned and pushed through the kids until he got close enough to see a boy being thrown into a locker. he knew that boy... he scowled at the leader and walked up and without another word punched the leader boy in the face, "leave him alone already!"

The leader growled as he glared at the boy. The other boys of the group started to close in on Tay. "What the Hell!?" Suddenly a teacher walked by. "Hey you kids, knock it off and get to class, the bell has rung." The group split up. The leader look back and frowned. "After school kid, you're dead!"
Sage took a handful of his broken drawings and sobbed.

Tay's eyes narrowed and he just scowled then he frowned and looked down at Sage. he kneeled down, "hey... its alright."

Sage looked up at him and smiled slightly. His nose was bleeding badly. He closed his eyes and hugged Tay tightly. "Thank you....for watching over me."

Sage nodded as he broke away and stood up. He wipped his tears away as he tasted blood in his mouth. He walked to the bathroom with Tay and opened the door. The bathroom was clear and quiet. Sage walked up to the sink and turned the water on.
