The brunette opened his mouth as if to yell, then snapped it closed his teeth sounding like a trap as the clacked together. He blinked at the other as if he was suddenly so peculiar, and suddenly, the yellow in his eyes lightened some, allowing swirls of blue to be seen. He almost looked quite hurt by the other's words, his nose twitching as if to hold back the unpleasantness of rising tears. "I see... that is truly what you think?"
The Dhampir started to answer, but hardly was able to gasp before the brunette pounced at him and his hand was in his coat. He used his weight and superior strength to push and pin the other against the wall, both of them growling as the looked at each other's eyes. And then there was a shift, and Sora jumped back.
In his hand there was a glint of silver which he raised, twisting it to be seen accurately. It was the scent he had caught before - many Vampirs could not even scent it's poison but Sora had been living with it under his nose for weeks not. Silver now had a very distinct scent to him. "Yet who is the one with the weapon in their left pocket?" The other seemed to growl, his hair actually frizzing some like it might on a humid day. But Sora only frowned and shook his head, throwing the weapon down the alley, hearing it clack into the ground.
"You judge me like a white man judges a black one. With shaded eyes and high stereotypes. You know not even mine name! You know nothing of my family or history or how I came to be here or there. You have never seen my ways or my life, and you have never heard my heart." The other snorted obviously disbelieving such a creature as he could even have one. "Mine may not beat Riku, but if I can still worry of my siblings, or watch after Lilo, or pray to God I am certain I still have one within me!" The silverette seemed a bit shocked at the mention of his name or perhaps at the strength and conviction in the other's words.
Sora crossed his arms and sighed. "I had suspected but now I see it is true. Your life has been consumed with nothing but hate. You know not how to live and to love. What a shame it is, that you go day by day with nothing in your mind but the blood and death of others, never stopping to wonder upon the color of a night flower or the shifting phases of the moon." He glanced up towards the sky, where the nearly full moon was, murmuring softly, "Do you even see it's beauty?"
"The woman - the silver-haired noble. She is paying... five-hundred pounds for Raijin!" Roxas was hissing but his eyes widened as his master started to cross the floor. "Make haste from sight!" He hissed gripping onto the other and pulling him to the side where they would not be spotted as the door flew open and his master bellowed in a terrible way. Axel soothed the shivers that rushed through the younger, the touch a small reminder he would not need to do as the blacks still in the field did now.
"Find the one named Raijin and bring him here. Quickly now or it will be five lashings!" The others flinched but were quick to spread out. Within a few minutes, one of them - a young woman named Amadea - was bringing back a limping man, his eyes full of worry for his fate. This time Roxas had to hold himself back from rushing over - it was Raijin!

It sounded like vicious, wild dogs in the alley as the vampir jumped at the dhampir, pushing him against the bricks in a speed he had never seen but from the master himself... and then he was gone, the shimmering light from his own blade catching him in the eye. "You are daft enough to come unguarded? It is not a show of thievery but one of brains. Any true man with a head and brain would know better." He snapped back, supporting himself. However, his eyes widened a fraction as the vampire spoke... though most was nothing of nonsense.
He could only relax his muscles some as he head shook, some silver liquid strands shifting against his black cape. "You can speak until your useless lungs give for I shall never care of what your life details. I was placed upon this earth like a hound to a pheasant. I am to hunt vampir until God one day lays me to rest. No poisoned words from your vial mouth will I listen, nor do I care what it has to offer. I only find peace in my soul when I know I have slain one of your kind."
Slowly his eyes looked up, seeing the moon though he frowned. "I have seen the moon from my birth and it bores me like those who have seen the sun all their lives. It is but a heavenly body that stirs the sin upon the forest."
The other lord, one much older that the master of this manor, watch as the dark skinned people hurried around the small space, looking in the most peculiar of places in which to find the man by the name of Raijin. He always found it amusing; the odd names these people had. They were not well with legend nor religion and they were far from common among this place. Still, he was surprised that the man who went by the name was very strong and tall, his face full of pride and years of discipline. His muscles bulged from his very poor shirt and all that seemed to really be his was a necklace around his neck.
"Do you not find it peculiar that such an event has happened upon this night for it is the same night you have come for him?" The redhead whispered as the man was brought back inside the grand hallway and the doors closed. Once it was secure, Roxas went back to peeping as Axel watched the dark skins talk amongst themselves, coming up with suspicions and rumors already. Five-hundred pounds was an absolute ridiculous amount for a slave, no matter how well of one he was. What on earth was this woman planning on doing with him...?

"How is it you can not see? The way it glows and makes the land around us a shade of silvery blue, lightening the darkness and returning from each phase. A true show of life - there is always light in even the darkest of times." Sora murmured, his voice soft and thoughtful. "How of the stars? Like little glittering diamonds of the sky? Small yet precious and priceless in their gift."
He heard the other snort, clearly not understanding. The brunette crossed his arms behind his head, and looked towards the other curiously. "Riku, I wish to show you life. It is something you have missed. There is more beyond the sight you are seeing - God has a purpose for you. Perhaps it is to kill mine kind, but he does too pronounce that life is precious and shall not be wasted. And simply doing a routine and never stopping to see something at a new angle... to never excite your mind with anything but the next plan of action... do you not wish to be happy - and yes I know what you will say. That the only time you are happy is when another of us falls but... how do you know that is all when you have never tried something else?"
"Sometimes fate is a funny thing Lord Axel," Roxas whispered as he flighted back to the peephole and stood at it, looking in with care. It was true, he could not understand God sometimes. Taking away everything from him - his parents and his brothers - only to bring him back to his siblings in later age and discover the truth of his heritage. Yet, in a way things turned out for the better for he.
Now he had Axel.
"Ah, this is he." The lord of the manor said as if he knew all along and was suddenly very polite - only so for his gaze was on the pound and not the purpose. "Is he suited for your needs mi'lady?"
Roxas could not see Raijin's expression, but he could hear his heart. It was speedy and jumbled, as if he were quite frightened. His head was tilted towards the ground and he was shifting nervously doing all he could not to look at the woman. He knew not that he was mis-reading the signs.

Still, the vampire was none amused as the vampir looked him straight in the eye. "I had my time of life when I was a child. I lived it as well as any could without a mother. I blessed every day that I was in the well hands of a judge and not in a poorer situation in which I knew it could of happened if it were not for where my mother had birthed me. I thanked God every night for the food placed upon the table though I could slightly but enjoy it. I could still do very little for my skin was too sensitive in the sun and I would have to wear an oversize hat upon my head to block most of it which brought the other children's cruel words and jokes."
He frowned and looked down at the bricks that were cracked and could easily take out a wagon wheel if any carriage could actually fit in such a tight area. "I find it humorous that you wish to show me life though I have more of a sense than you. You are but a dead marionette as far as I am concerned. One that uses the weak of mind to take and slaughter so you can trick again. Why ever would I wish to see the life through thine eyes?"
The woman looked up as she saw the black skinned man hobble his way in, the lady of the manor seeming to frown in discuss as he left some dirt upon the floor. It was a house that only the black women would do the chores and no men were allowed inside. There were horrible tales that male black slaves were know to rape white women inside the home and she was damned it would happen in her manor.
But the paler woman from the north seemed to gasp, her eyes widening in worry as she saw the negro limp all the way towards her. At the question though, the Scottish woman nodded before looking at the servant. He was quick to present the money to the lord as his lady walked up to the tall man. Since he had some height on her, it was easy for her to look up at him as he continued to try and avert his eyes. "Raijin..." A sweet voice hit his ears as a gentle hand came up, touching his cheek. "Do you... recognize me?"

The other looked at him, tilting his head this way and that, before finally smiling jovially. "Well now isn't that the joy of a mystery? To be kept guessing about the truth and to become surprised at the answers?" He chuckled then, before he started down the ally. He paused and reached down, picking up the silver dagger and looked down at it, before before softly across it. His nail ran down the harsh metal making little sound as he did. "If nothing else it would be a good study for you. Learning of a full Vampir's life. You know not when such information may come in handy. It is simply an idea to think over."
He turned the blade over, breathing softly again, his nail still tracing an unseen pattern - perhaps simply random. However when he was finished he lifted the blade and smiled, "Perhaps let us begin with the name. It is a powerful thing to have of another." He tossed the dagger and it flipped before landing in the dirt at the man's feet. When he picked it up it was to his confusion and possible comfort no mark had been made across the fine silver.
"Good evening Riku the hunter." The other spoke, and with a powerful jump he was upon the roof of a home and off to his home, leaving the other alone for a long time. But it was obvious something had been done to the blade and as the other studied it - perhaps remembering a time in which he made shapes in the mirror or watching the fog settled upon the windows in a rainfall - suddenly blew hot breath across the silver. Suddenly, a word revealed itself:
Wilkinson
And on the other side:
Sora
Dark eyes finally, shyly, looked upon the woman's face. A tentative smile fell upon his lips and he nodded. "I never forget, ya know?" He grew nervous, shifting again, "But... Fuu... are you sure this is... okay that you are here?"

It seemed this vampir was daft. He was not near close interested in learning the life of the demon. But as he glanced upon the name in the sword, he believed that this only helped his situation. He was lucky and thankful that the vampir could not smell out the wicked plan that was coming to head as the hunter turned and headed back inside his home. All he had to do was hold his hate and temper as the vampir relaxed around him, gaining his friendship until this Sora had no worries upon the hunter.
Then... he would see who the fool was.
The woman could only smile as she saw the deep brown eyes from the man look into her single one. At the question, she was ready to speak only for her to silence herself. She slowly turned away from the dark skinned man before looking upon the owners of this manor. "I thank you for allowing me to purchase one of your fine workers. Once again, I am so very sorry that I have come at such a Godly hour of the night to disturb you from your slumber. I will take my leave and wish you best of many years ahead." She bowed before her and her parents servant turned, making their way back outside with the slave limping with them.
Oddly enough, it was the same time that the coachman awoke from his daze that the vampir had placed him in, shaking his head and looking around only to see the woman walking back. He quickly stood and dusted himself as he opened the door for her.

Again, Roxas had to chase his way to the edge of the home to not be spotted with Axel, watching as the pale woman and the African man got into the coach then he looked towards Axel. "What are we to do now?!" He hissed in worry and panic. Should they simply flight after the couch? Who know how far they would travel and then sun might be up before they reach their destination.
Briefly the idea of attacking the coach as it was in motion played through his head. If his friend was in trouble and he did nothing to help he would feel terrible for many years to come. Who know what this woman wanted with him - nothing good came from the white man to the black. He had seen it all his life, how cruelly they were treated. Even lived in such a shame of one for awhile just by association and status.

How odd was it that a slave, black man of all people, were to ride inside the coach with the noble, a white woman of all people. Eyes narrowed as the lord watched the carriage be pulled, seeing the servant upon the back of the wagon load up his gun. He wasn't sure if this was some very expensive assassination or if he were merely in charge of watching the back of the wagon. If it were the later, he were very smart to keep the back protected especially so close to a full moon. But at the suggestion, the servant would be hard to trick if they followed suit. He knew his lover would be worried sick until he knew the truth so it needed to be. "Hmmm...."
It was then that it hit him, an idea that he knew would work. "Come, follow my lead!" He called as he pulled his lover and both disappeared and reappeared at the edge of the wood, looking upon the carriage. "AR-AR-ARRRROOOOOOO!!!" Axel called out, cupping his hands around his mouth before hurrying along, making bushes shake. "Stay down!" He whispered before sounding another howl. As predicted, the servant became spooked. The gun went off aimlessly into the dark forest before he quickly started to load his gun again.
From within, the noble child looked back through the small window. "What is it?" She cried in fear but the servant only replied that it was but pesky wild dogs. "Ah, do be careful then. We can stop and you can climb about to the coachman if you wish for higher ground if you become too frightened." As he nodded, she took the draw curtain and pulled it down on the back window and the window upon the door and side, making only the lantern be the only light inside. The silverette slowly looked at the man who was still tense sitting next to her before she smile. "I cannot believe I have found you. Oh Raijin... please forgive me. This is all but my fault. I have searched for you as long as I knew how but I fear it is much too late for you are so certainly wounded..."

This was quite insane! Roxas did not quite know what his lover was up too, rushing about after the carriage and like he, howled and bayed to the moon. "RRRRRRRR-OOOOOOOOOOO!!" Shots rang randomly through the forest and his eyes were so clear and his feet were so fast he was stunned to find he could actually track the passage of the silver bullet whizzing past.
It was not until the servant grew so nervous of the continuous howls and, quite possibly the lady inside grew tired of the sound of gunshots that the man called for the coach to halt. The next he knew the servant had jumped from the back and was hurrying to the front.
"Ah, it is quite alright... it was bound to happen." Raijin was saying, reaching down to rub his foot untying the cloth he wrapped about it as a mimic of shoes as the coach stopped. It seemed her servant didn't have much of a heart for dogs.
His toes stretching some, one foot having a nasty scar wrapped about the ankle. Even as he spoke he sounded proud of it, "It was perhaps a bit of a blabs to try and take flight. And now I'm a bit of a slap-"
Roxas tilted his head but blinked as Axel tugged him along and suddenly he understood. He hurried along the ground and with a jump he landed noiselessly upon the back, Axel hurrying to his side. So close and with such good hearing, even as the coach started along again he could hear clearly. He lent close engaged by the conversation within.
"-my master sure was skrik though, ya know?" The male was laughing, a comforting sound for Roxas' worried heart. And he certainly knew what a skirk was - it was a term he used too. To say in the nicest way possible, the master was not too appealing in looks...
"However did you discover where I was...? I am sure there are plenty of slave farms about."

Claws gripped at the edge of the top of the wagon, making sure he wouldn't be booted off as his lover took the flat seat in which was still warm from the servant's bum. He sighed softly, enjoying the ride as Roxas listened to the two inside, wondering what they were talking about. It was a good thing that they had come this night or he knew that Roxas would of worried sick to come to see the slave missing. It would tear at him like a blade a piece of meat.
Roxas could hear a giggle from within, the silverette covering her mouth at she heard the truth that this man told. "He was indeed and I shocked that he nor his wife tried to become presentable." At the next question though, her eyes became soft. "Well, after I was adopted and transferred to Scotland, I was taught to read, write, sew and so many other things. It was tortuousness at first for I was routy like a street boy before it all happened but I suppose I gave it up for it were only better tools to find you. I sent letters to many officials asking for lists of each slave holder's record so I was sure that was where you ended from your muscles."
She paused as she reached up, her hand gently running over the course bristles upon his face. "I received so many and looked them over twice. Every village and city from the tip to Scotland to the bottom of England. If I could not find you among those places, I was ready to begin travel to other places in finding their records as well. To the New World even I would of gone."

"I see..." He said gently, a smile upon his face suddenly. "I am glad to hear this, Fuujin. There have been many a night I had fallen to sleep and wondered and worried. That was why I tried to escape - I wished to find you as well but the dogs sniffed me out in the hollows of the woods and I was returned and injured, never to get away again. Over such times I started to worry that you had become like I." This made her curious, stating she had never heard of a white slave before. "Neither had I... but then Roxas happened upon our doors and I grew rather fearful. He was a chum of mine, had a leg already quite wrecked from misfortunes of life. But very, very white that is for certain. He was as pale as ye, ya know!" His voice was teasing now.
Meanwhile outside the carriage, Roxas was surprised he had been mentioned even and listened ever more carefully. He had not thought what his disappearance might to to his friend. It was not as if he could have told him where he was going, such decisions were not made with thought.
She playfully seemed offended but slowly asked him if he would like to go back for the white slave but the man shook his head and sighed. "I fear to say, he is no longer among us. A fortnight and some more ago he was injured by a horse and left to rest in the barn. He later disappeared and my only guess upon which had happened is he died or possibly dragged away by the wild creatures of the forest as the doors had been wide open that coming morn'. I had been terribly sad at the loss... but seeing you had cheered me greatly! At least I have not lost all things, ya know?"
The blonde outside tilted his head quite curiously, before he finally felt somewhat settled. It was obvious from their living and caring tones, that they were quite familiar with each other. What luck Rai had had in life to make not one friend but two of the opposite color - what an unheard of predicament. Furthermore, his friends had been dutifully and completely loyal. So she, Fuujin it must be, had come to help free he just as he had.

"Oh... what a pity it is." The woman's face seemed to become sad as she learned the thought truth of the white slave. If he were not in such a status, he could of perhaps been treated by a doctor and even still, if he could not make it, he would of had a proper burial. She didn't even wish to think of the horrible outcome other slaves must of dealt with. "Well, do not worry a bit for you are now a free man. We shall head back to mine home and I will see to it that your leg be looked upon and suited the best it can so no further injury can come to you. For the night, I believe an inn would be suitable since I have traveled no stop to come here for you and the dear people along my side as well as I are quite exhausted from the trip."
Her lips slowly shifted into a smile as she looked up at the strong had been slave before her hand reached out and took his. "Perhaps now we can catch up with what we have missed with each other..." Suddenly, she boldly leaned in, her eye lidding as she placed her lips upon his.

"M-Mmmm..." A strong hand gripped the back of Fuujin's delicate neck, bringing her ever closer.
Errr.... perhaps much more than a friend!
Roxas blushed quite a bit, feeling like a true peeping tom now. He tugged on Axel's coat and after sharing a glance with him they were quick to jump from the carriage, dust rising as they landed. He watched the cart waddle along on the weary horses hooves and before long it was out of sight. When his lover inquired he nodded and smiled. What luck that when they both were given freedom they also found love. "Yes, I am quite satisfied. I am glad to see how things had turned out." If only he could help them all... but even he knew that was a daft idea.
"Let us return home."
In the depths of sleep, the day passed shortly, and soon enough the moon rose again. Just a day from being full. It was still uncertain what the wolves were going to do in the wake of their serious loss, but it was obvious that Terra would not be up for the battle if their was one. This did not particularly thrill his father and leader, but after some sharp words from his mate he let him be. No one bothered him as he left again for the night, heading at a slow pace to the library.
Regardless if the pack attacked or not, Demyx was still quite aware of a problem as he sat near Saix, who seemed in pain of a great headache, and nuzzled him. He knew he too was still deeply grieving, but the problem at hand was what will happen the next night. He wished to bring it up, but he knew the other's mind was very preoccupied and he was unsure how without appearing insensitive.
He just wished to help...
Meanwhile, already in town as he now resided there, Sora had a brilliant grin upon his face as he sat on the branch of a tree, his hands holding onto the bark as he lent forward with glee like he was watching a great show. And he truly was, seeing how Lilo, now quite furious, was standing before Riku and giving him a piece of her mind. He actually seemed kind of pale - or well more pale than before - when confronted by this strong woman who had little fear of him. Even the strongest of Vampirs were wary of he yet she approached him as he was nothing but a dormouse! And for another point, for all his strong talk and hate of the night before, when face to face upon her it was obvious that words held no real threat. It was as if they had all been swept away by the mere sight of her... curious.
"Lilo if you continue on we will never even get to the play let alone ask the hunter if he would like to join us~" Sora said in a teasing way, laughing. "Although I fear you may have talked his ears into running away as it is, so he might not enjoy it deaf."

As the door opened and the bell over it rang, the brunette lycan could easily see that the blonde had found his way towards this house of books before him. His blonde locks shifted as he looked back, their blue eyes meeting and a smile ran over the younger of the beasts. His face seemed dull and tired, his life seeming to of been sucked from him in no intention of a pun. "Good evening, Terra." He started as the man came around the table, only to see some desserts upon it with tea. "I brought some strawberry cheese curd pastries. I've never tried the stuff and it was the last upon the window that I did see." He explained as Terra sat down, looking upon them.
With a sigh, he looked away. "It is unfortunate that I cannot enjoy them with such tastes that I have now acquired. Any sort of food beyond..." He paused, glancing at the librarian who passed by. "my normal meal makes me feel sluggish and tired for my body really doesn't need it." Slowly he looked back at the brunette before biting his lip. "How are you fairing?"
"And another thing----" The woman stopped, glancing back and up at the tree in which her lover was mounted before crossing her arms and her brows pinched. Sora had led her from the scent of the dhampir and it was rather peculiar that he come out of the forest without any blood upon him. These were his prime nights to hunt so why was he coming back to the city when he should be out all night? It didn't matter to her any but she was shocked that he was able to pay for the damages in full. Then again, what shock would that be with having a father as a judge.
"Hmph..." She pouted before glaring back at the silverette. "Right. Sora and I will be attending the late showing of The Beaux' Stratagem. It is my first play to attend and I am in no mood to be late for it. Shall you attend with us?" The hunter seemed to cork an eyebrow, as if he was wondering if they were serious. The look upon Lilo's face though was far from humorous. "A play? At such a night for---" "Did I question what else you could be doing?" Lilo snapped, making Riku's lip pull back some. Silence spread over the three before his sword was slowly sheathed. "I suppose if I don't have the choice."

Terra's nose twitched some as the smell of the sweetness wafting from the dessert the blonde had brought. Even still he had not hunted for awhile as he had been so preoccupied and his stomach suddenly rumbled with hunger, as if remembering for the first time he was quite starving. When had he last eaten?
"I am... alright." The male sighed as he picked up a pastry, biting into it with little care for manners. He ate more crudely as a wolf. "Time is meant to heal wounds," He mumbled once he had swallowed, quickly taking another bite. The flavor of powered sugar and strawberry preserves were strong, but quite good. Very sweet too. He rather liked it.
The more he ate the better he seemed to feel - at least physically. But it spurred his mind some just as he was licking the taste from his fingers and reaching for a second. "You can really not taste this?" The blonde hesitated before explaining that was not quite what he meant. He could indeed taste it, but it was dull and unappetizing compared to his staple.
"How... peculiar." Like Ven had Terra glanced about before he lent somewhat close and asked quite brashly. It seemed even in his sorrow he was still quite curious. Exciting his knowledge did help him. "What of your victims? Does the taste vary? Or does all blood taste the same?"
"Excellent!" Sora chirped from the tree as he jumped down, his eyes bright. He knew bringing Lilo along would help the silverette to agree - he seemed rather cowed by her. And quite possibly he was believing he was keeping her safe from him if he went along with it. "Let us go along then so we do not miss a word!"
It was easy enough for he to carry Lilo as Riku road his horse to his abode as well as his sword - though when he returned, Sora still breathed the stank of silver and knew he again had the dagger hidden upon his coat tails. As they walked to the play house, Sora and Lilo arm-in-arm and Riku at her other side, Sora could feel the glanced and hard gazes given to he. It was a relief that when they reached the play house his attention was quite stolen by a scent quite familiar.
It made Sora smile as the admittance was purchased, recognizing the scent of his brother and lover. Even as they went within the large house though it took him a time to spot them, only able to for Axel's vibrant hair, many rows down. He did his best to get seats far from them knowing what trouble his brother's lover shall be in if it is detected he had contact with him... but perhaps after the show he could catch his sibling. He had yet to even see Lilo - nor Ven!
