"Mmmmm..." Came a soft moan from the lycan, claws fingers winding their way into the untamed blonde locks, feeling the strong scalp press against his fingers as he brought him ever closer. It was nothing like kissing Aqua - it felt more electrifying, perhaps what it might feel like when your lips touch a static bolt. Somehow... better. All his thoughts about his purpose and his duty disappeared in this simple action.
It had really been innocent. All she had planned was a simple disruption of Terra's bath time yet again - maybe perhaps to even tease him with her body yet again. Mating season was here and their desire for one another had grown to incredible heights but unlike her, Terra was always sent running to the nearest bush after he got a whiff of her heat.
She rather liked seeing him bothered.
But as she approached the stream and heard a strange noise, her ears perked some in worry, brushing a branch back with her nose to give her a clear view of the river.
And her blue eyes widened in horror at the sight.
Neither of them heard it, preoccupied by themseleves. Now did they smell it, their noses full of only each other's scents and rising sex. But Terra's mind did snap from his dazed trance when he heard the furious snarl, but had not the mind to react before it occurred and he cried in surprise when Ven was wrenched from him and again found himself flat on his back.
Unfortunately, the fangs snapping towards him this time would not be as forgiving.

"Aaaahh...." Ventus breathed out as his head tilted a new direction, his body starting to shake as his insides started to work against him. Senses in his mind and nerves started to make things react and blood flow started to concentrate on a lower organ as a new scent pushed through his pores. His eyes slowly lidded as Terra seemed to hesitate, wondering what could be wrong but he quickly found out as he was slammed into, his body flying some feet before he skidded hard upon the rocks around the area.
He hissed as he slid, the rocks ripping at his skin before he scrambled to his feet, seeing the wild wolf between himself and the brunette. Everything in his gut screamed to run away.... but he was no coward. He had human blood in his veins and a head upon his shoulders. His claws were sharp and so were his fangs. Even though he had no trained like his blonde brother, he was a natural fighter, a Crusader! Lips pulled back, revealing his grown fangs as his eyes quickly changed from blue to pearl while the wolf snarled at both of them, hissing right back.

The situation could of turned quite deadly quite quickly, but Terra jumped from the river, dripping pearls of dewdrop water as he shifted form, the glorious black and brown wolf standing tall as he cut right in the midst of both of them. His size compared to the blue-silver wolf was quite massive - a head taller at least - and as he turned his eyes on her and snarled fiercely, her tail shifted downward and she backed off some, her body lowering some to the ground.
But even in such a submissive position, she snarled at him, "Terra! What were you thinking!?" "It is of no matter to your mind! Make haste and leave this area!" "But he is a Vampir! And you were-" "Silence!" He snapped, snarling once more. "We are not going to discuss it with you in such a state." "A state?!" She cried, jumping to her feet. It was at these times, Terra did not like her independence as much. "You call my anger at seeing you swapping spit with the enemy when you are meant to be MY mate... a 'STATE'?!"

Ven shifted in his stance as the large wolf came between him and the female, making him relaxes only a bit. He knew he shouldn't let his muscles relax since the scene could change as fast as it started. His eyes glanced around quickly as the two lycan spoke, seeing if any else would come at the vicious snarls and their loud voices would travel. It was then that he saw a gleam of eyes still hidden behind the bushes on the other side of the river. The owner was well concealed and it was unsure just what wolf was watching them.
"I had.... better leave this place..." He spoke lowly for Terra to pick up as he started to back away, keeping a close eye on both the hidden wolf and the very upset bitch before him.

"Yes you cur! Get out of here-" Aqua started to snarl but yelped as Terra head-butted her. She backed up some, giving a whimper and at his stern glare she lowered back to the floor. The large wolf turned to face Ven and gave a nod. "That is for the best for now, I apologize Ven." He ignored the slight sneer he heard from Aqua as he spoke to him by name and watched silently as the Vampir took his leave. It filled his heart with some despair to watch him go, but he had no time to wonder upon it before Aqua was back to her feet to break his eardrums with her screams.
"Whatever is wrong with your mind?! Are you sick or just mad?! When we are so close, you think it right to do stunts such as this?!" She growled, her anger only growing as the wolf sighed and brushed past her without a word. She spun on her paws, tramping after him with ferocity in her eyes, "What in the world possessed you... and with our enemy! And his name... what ties and loyalties do you have Terra?!" They were getting further and further into the woods, her words of anger, soon echoing only to his ears. She continued to shot questions and accusations, until finally she realized he was not going to give her peace unless she forced it.
She jumped forward, stepping into his path and snarling, "Answer me!" The larger wolf paused and looked away, gritting his teeth. "It is your own fault, spurring my lust all the time!" He finally snapped back, placing the blame upon her despite the fact she had little to do with his actions. "My...?! I was under the impression you wanted me!" He growled in frustration, shaking his head as if he had an itch he couldn't reach. "Of course I do! But you know I can not have you until the time it right and yet you insist and insist to push my limits until I am mad with hunger!" "That still does not answer why you seem so jovial with that blood-drinker! You can not honestly tell me it is simply a ploy of knowing thy enemy! I am certain that does not attest to a need to know their mouth!" "It... It's... he is..." His lips turned down, an answer not forthcoming.

Another hiss came from the young vampir's mouth as the bitch ordered him to leave but when he saw the blue eyes of Terra, his own returned and he nodded. Quickly he turned and vanished in speed so no wolf could catch up to him as he headed back to the manor. What ever was he thinking? Kissing such a fiend, an enemy and... and enjoying it so. Was he surely mad? He knew if he had a heart, it would be racing as he panted, coming to a slightly slower run as he came closer to his haven. For some awful reason, he felt some underlying evil vibes at his fingertips.
He finally stopped himself as his arms wrapped around a tree trunk, his eyes looking back to the way he came. "Please God, hear my prayer and keep Terra safe this night."
Hazel eyes narrowed as the slightly smaller wolf watched from afar as the two arguing canines disappeared to the right. Though she was the delta's guardian, she knew she was safer with the gamma so she slowly turned around and started heading back towards the pack for some rest. It had been a rough month for her.
As the two traveled through the woods, passing trees and occupying their minds on another matter, it was easy to tell that they were not paying mind to the strong scents around them until a chuckle brother their argument. Both were quick to look up at a ledge, some boulders collecting around the edge and upon one, a large black and white wolf stood, his single golden eye peering down at them as his mouth opened in a grin. "How amusing, your situation, nephew~ I never thought you'd become a betrayer like I!" He suddenly started to jump down from the high ledge, so skillfully that it was frightening. When he reached their level, his body language showed no fear as he slowly strode over.
"Seems like it runs in the family~" He taunted as he came closer.

"Whatever do you know?! Step away!" Terra snarled, his ears flipping back as he quickly stood in front of Aqua, his back hunching defensively. Behind him he heard Aqua's intake of fear, knowing how the sight of the other bothered her so. It only increased his fury as his uncle ignored him, his turmoil at the previous occurrence erased. He snarled in warning, his eyes narrowed. "I am nothing like you. You are but a monster who knows nothing but the joy in causing chaos and pain."
"T-Terra..." Came a hesitant call from behind him, the female watching fearfully as the rogue wolf continued to advance, seeing in his posture an intent quite clear. "We should make haste from this area..." "No!" He snapped. "If you do not believe me then I will prove to you that you are all I want." He growled at Xigbar this time offensively, his tail raised high. "I will take your mate's life, here and now, and then we may become mates." He grinned, just to infuriate his uncle with his confidence and surety. "That is what you want, no doubt Xigbar? A fight to the death. It is what you intended that night and ever since you have tried to finish the job. but I swear you will fail again this night and it will be your last!"

Xigbar continued to chuckle at every word Terra spoke as he continued to come near, smelling the fear that Aqua was releasing between her legs. It was an intriguing smell, only making him that much more confidant. "Who are you trying to convince, boy? Aqua... or yourself? The many nights you've been 'training' on reading the foolish writings of the Christian faith to that demon while this pretty young bitch fears for her life." The light wolf seemed to gasp, not understanding Xigbar's words. "Oh? You haven't told her of your nightly hobby? When were you going to share that with her?"
He was silenced quickly as Terra brought up the battle to death once more and how all of what the elder wolf spoke of was of the past. "You are but all bark but no BITE!" Claws dug into the ground as Xigbar finally pounced, his front paws tangling with that of his nephew before he was slammed into the ground but his hind legs gave a powerful kick and Terra went flying over his head. He made a quick recovery as he dashed towards the gamma, sinking his teeth into his shoulder, snarling pushing the blood out of his mouth.

"YEEEEEEE!" Came a high yelp of pain, before a vicious snarl ripped from the younger's mouth, swinging his head to crack his uncle in the face. The teeth were dislodged, though they left nasty, bleeding scraps behind. Terra spun around to face him, his body shaking with adrenalin as the fight got heated, charging towards him, jumping onto his back and pushing him to the ground, his teeth finding purchase into his flank.
More blood of the Tellus family began to spill.
All the while, with wide eyes, Aqua watched from the sidelines, looking between one and the other. She knew this was how it was meant to end but... but she did not know how truly brutal it would look! "S-Stop!" She called, her voice mixing with their cries and growls, unheard.

A loud howl came from the elder wolf as his body was tossed to the ground some, feeling a weight on his back and the teeth in his skin. "I hope you will go easier on the girl if you live to know it!" He called before a powerful arm swung up and smashed into the side of Terra's face, dislodging his teeth as well and kicking him off. His lips pulled back again, his row of sharp fangs exposed to the younger as he started to recover before once more they pounced at each other.
They started to move throughout the opening, getting closer to the high ledge and even started to bounce upon the rocks to get some higher ground. Blood splattered upon the gray rocks as teeth continued to sink into flesh. Bits of skin were even ripped off, either being spit out quickly or swallowed before the neck attack began. "Give it up, boy!" Xigbar cried as he rushed up a rock as swiped Terra across the face as the boy tried to come down on him. There was a cry of pain and an evil cackle as a golden eye widened in amusement. "Look, you are already much like me if you lose that eye!"
As the two fought, the female too followed and watched as the two battled for their rightful place at her side during the season, her heart on Terra's victory.

"Terra..." Came a whisper from below, Aqua standing at the bottom of the ledge and looking up towards the battle, seeing him get smacked back and hearing her mate's cackle. Her ears lowered and she whimpered, pacing nervously at the bottom as he recovered.
Blue eyes narrowed in fury as he balanced on the unsure rocks, an eye closing as blood trickled from the wound just above his eye. At the other's words his lips pulled back in a fierce snarl. "I would sooner perish then look anything like you!" He pounced but was knocked back by his uncle's front claws and he sailed backwards and hit a rock. He gave another loud yelp, pain racing from his spine. Below he heard Aqua's fearful call, and had it not been for that he possibly would not have found the will to move just as Xigbar leaped for him. He moved for the next rock up, hearing paws smack into the rock just where he had been laying.
Yet his movements were somewhat sluggish and it was easy for teeth to clamp around his tail, threatening to pull him back. His claws scrambled on the rock, slowly losing purchase. In a wild move, much like a furious, wild horse, he kicked out both back legs and smacked into the other, sending him sailing.

Snarling filled the air as jaws clenched tightly around the boy's tail, feeling how it flinched to struggle free from his grasps. With a bad eye though, he couldn't catch everything. The tail was ripped from his hold just before he was smashed in the face with powerful hind legs, making him yip in pain as he was pushed back. He hit the ground hard but rolled until a large boulder stopped him, the force hitting it smacking the breath from his lung. He would of caught his breath and arose once more but it was the fearful feeling of the huge rock.... falling back.
"AAAAAAAAAH!!!" He cried as he rolled off with it, the rest of the rock bed becoming loose and tumbled down the ridge. Hundreds of rocks fell, their impact making dust fly and made it near impossible to see the flat land below. The cries of the elder wolf disappeared under the roar of the clashing stone until all that were left were the clicks that small rocks and pebbles left as they hit. Still, the dust kicked up and the way down to the area was now harder to reach without some skillful climbing knowledge.
As Terra tried to make his way down, some rocks shifted and were violently tossed as harsh panting filled the air, the old black and whitish wolf slowly dragging himself from the rubble. His body was beaten and broken, his own tail limp as well as one of his hips. Blood filtered through his fur as he hobbled about the mess, his golden eye weary but he paused, his nose going to the air to realize... Aqua's scent was no longer. "Aqua?" He called, looking out at the blackened forest before putting his nose to the rocks... and picking up a whiff of her scent. "AQUA!"
Though in great pain, the large wolf moved around the rubble, his nose plastered to it before his single eye widened, seeing a white paw sticking out of the rocks. "AQUA!!" He called again as he hurried over, his nose pressing the limp limb and he knew... Paws pushed rock after rock away, revealing the horrible sight they covered. One of a beautiful young wolf with silky gorgeous color of fur.... broken. The side of her face was smashed in where a rock had laid and some limbs were in the wrong direction but still, Xigbar pulled at her gruff and her body limply dragged from her natural grave.
It was then that the younger male came into sight but Xigbar seemed to care less as he bowed his head. "Aqua...." Though his voice was rustic and harsh, it was pained and full of sorrow before he started to lick her beaten face.

Paws shook as they met the earth, not from pain or the rush of battle, but now from fear and anxiety. As the dust settled it revealed a heart-breaking sight. "Aqua..." Came the whisper of the young wolf, looking upon the crushed form of his would-be mate. His ears fell as pain found it's way into his heart, the sight of his lost friend crude and ugly as he sat down heavily at her other side.
He laid his head down against her flank, nuzzling her fur as tears welled in his eyes and matted and darkened his fur as they fell, is ears a sad sight against his head. Never again would she dance about him in a teasing manner as she lead a hunt with her excellent scenting skills. Never again would she be at his side during a battle, the assurance of her eyes and ears a strong one. Never again would they jest and tease each other in the grass or fight aimlessly well into the night to reconcile by morning. So much lost....
He shut his eyes before lifting his body and suddenly threw his head back and howled, the song of sorrow ripping the night sky apart. There was something to be sad of a wolf's howl. At times it was a call of strength and preparation for a fight - whether it be with a rival pack, the vampir, or simply prey. There were howls of alarm and calls of help when danger was nearly afoot, so the pack could become one to protect their own.
Yet, nothing was quite like the wolf's howl of loss. The beautiful song was so terrible and distressing it could bring tears to even a Vampir's eyes. The call that honored and say goodbye to those lost. No one deserved that more than Aqua which in her strength she guided and in her wit she protected many a wolf and stood her ground many a time.

With the howl, ears went flat upon the elder's hear, water building up in his own eye. But he did not let it take over him for he reached out at took her gruff again, using his bit of strength to pull her down from the rocks even more until they came down to the earth. A patch of unseeded grass was where he paused and started to dig feverishly, dirt being picked up quickly and shoved between his back legs. It wasn't long after that a shallow grave was made and the broken body of the once beautiful Umi daughter was laid in it.
His snout pulled up, grabbing a few flowered branches before carefully laying them over her. Then.... he lowered himself to the ground for his hip gave out.
Terra's howl came through the land, the whole pack picking up their ears and knowing the call well. It was sorrow filled and from their gamma. Immediately, the guardian stood and ran as fast as she could to the sound, coming to the clearing and realizing that the rumble upon her feet was of more importance than she thought. Hazel eyes went wide as she came to Terra's side, seeing the familiar body in the grave. "I...." She had fail. She had failed herself, the pack, Terra and most of all... Aqua. "No..." Tears too darkened her already dark fur before she too swung her head up and joined the sorrowing chorus.
And of course her howl hit the ears of one other wolf that came to the call, this one large and of silverish blue fur. He appeared at the top of the ridge and looked down, his golden eyes taking in the scene. His sister... the one who he was suppose to protect. The one he told his father would see no harm as long as he lived. Dead. "AAAAAAAAARRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!"

Quick to his side, a yellow wolf stepped aside the brother, looking down upon the horrible sight, able to feel the pain of the other wolf beside him as he grieved his lost relative. His ears lowered in sorrow, before he too tilted his head back and joined the song. And one by one a wolf came near to follow suit as if every note was planned - even the alpha and beta of the pack called to the sky to pay their respects to the lost delta. The song grew so loud, it awoke some humans from their beds and caused them to shiver quite greatly at the calm not understand it was not one of harm.
Soon enough the forest was settled again. The job the mate of the woman was finished by some of the other wolves, until the beautiful delta's body was hidden until the dirt of the earth the sight less cruel then the previous grave she had been buried under. Then one by one, as they had come, the wolves of the pack left, leaving only a few in the area. The beta attended to her grieving son's side, the guardian merely laid in shame upon the floor, the brother and his fellow laid more flowers upon grave's dirt as if to provide a marker, and the alpha approached the other - his injured brother - sitting down at his side and silence reigned for a long time.
"....... I am sorry brother." The alpha spoke finally.
