Sai frowned as he was called out, looking off to nip at the blonde who seemed to crack a chuckle.
"A walk, I plea." The guardian spoke as she shifted her head, her shaggy main shifting so that it was easy to hear the beads that were stuck in there sound. The two females slowly walked off, heading into the woods and around the grounds. "I hope you will not find me bothersome, I know my attitude does not suit all who I watch over. My true name was lost many years ago, for I was only but a prostitute before I was changed. I bless the new life for now I can do something better with my body. You may call me Fang."
The redhead only bowed his head slightly at his thanks and two of the three boys walked off, having seem odd than the night before. Had the truth of their fate finally dawn to them? That they were damned, the cursed vision of God's people as they walled this earth still dead? It was not as soon as it hit him, after murdering the man who had fancied his wife, his madness had drowned and he knew he would live the life of a murderer until someone else killed him. He had to take it with a grain of salt, now claiming to be a new man. For if he didn't, he would surely go mad to still be the man he once was before his rage.
Slowly his eyes moved to look at the single child before him, a small smile appearing in the gloomy atmosphere of the court yard. He had to wonder, would his own son look so precious at this newborn's age? Both their gazes broke as the blonde child spoke up, calling forth his brother to join him. The redhead only nodded as he was addressed, watching the three wonder down the eastern path to a large gate that took them to the outside of the manor. Slowly he looked away before he readied his cello and continued to play.
When the gates opened and they stepped out into the woods beyond the gates, they were all suddenly tripped and a net engulfed them. "AAAAAAH!!!" Ventus cried as he was suddenly smooched against his brothers, all hanging in a tree quite a few feet up in the air. "Ceci ne fera pas!" A French, exquisite accent made them only relax some as a rose hair man came over, frowning some. "Nous baisser d'ici!" Ventus called down, making both brothers gasp as a romantic language came from their middle brother's lips. Marluxia only smiled a toothy grin as he stood there before showing his hands, his nails growing to claws. "Vous avez des griffes, n'est-ce pas?"

Demyx watched the two females walk away before batting his paw against Saix's nose, smiling playfully. "so what are we to do today?"
Aqua merely nodded to her, following after her for some privacy. "It is of little matter if you are bothersome or not." She spoke softly, drawing the other wolf's attention. She sighed tilting her head to stare up upon the trees. "I almost wish I had fallen to the position you are at now. A life of never having pups sounds nice compared to the state I am in now."
She shut her eyes before shaking her head as if shaking out a bad tone from her ears. She could only hope Terra would keep his word to her.
"What madness is this?!" Roxas choked out one of his brother;s elbows having clipped him right in the neck when they had risen from the ground. He rubbed it irritably, but paused as he heard his brother speaking such a delicately beautiful language. It was much more stunning then the rough African speech he's heard some of the newer slaves spout out before the others could teach them their version of English slang. Beside him, his eyebrow rose though and Sora leaned close to his youngest brother, murmuring softly, "Did he ask us if we are griffins?" There was a chuckle, Roxas unable to contain it. "Somehow brother I highly doubt that. Have you not learned the art of reading body language?" He reached out and with surprising ease cut one string of the net. Beside him, Ven was doing the same, both of them cutting larger and larger holes but Sora saw the flaw in this quite quickly as he gripped the netting "Brothers I don't think-" And then it broke before his warning could finish there was a yell as gravity and their weight snapped the rest of the net and Roxas and Ven hit the ground toppling on each other. Sora looked down at them from where he hung, thankful not to be part of the pile and chuckled, "I do believe there was a less painful way to go about getting free..." When his brothers moved from their space he let go, landing on the ground and stood beside them. He turned his head to the Frenchman then glanced at the net. "Why did you trap us?"

The older wolf seemed to grin, listening to the younger's wishes. "You wouldn't be saying such things if it were you were to bare kin with a desired mate." The two continued to walk deeper into the woods, away from the pack more and more. "The beta has assigned I to you to accomplish two tasks. One is so that your winning mate does not take you before the seasons begin... and not to mate with your desired mate before the seasons begin." She leaned in closer, so her words could only be heard by Aqua. "Ida wishes for you to be with her son but in the laws of the pack."
This news seemed to startle the delta, making her pretty eyes look up into the others.
"UUFF!" Ventus cried as he hit the ground hard, only for Roxas to fall atop him. There was laughter, making him frown and get up, being helped by his sibling to his feet. Soon after, Sora hopped down from the net, a smug smile on his features as he thought he was so smart. At the question, the vampir walked over, looking down at the boys. "Why should I of not? As a vampir, we get caught in many situations in which we must think fast. Would you still be in that net if I had not reminded you of your claws?" He turned before chuckling to himself. "We have much training to do before you can leave the manor safely~"

To say Aqua was shocked was a far cry from what she was feeling. Of course she expected Ida to want the best for her child and to respect his wishes but... "I had no idea she thought so highly of us being together..." She murmured softly, wondering what Hatori's thoughts upon the matter was. Probably a little less favorable...
She nodded to the terms, "I understand. Your assisstance is greatly appreciated."
Sora tilted his head some at the explanation then frowned, looking upon the grass, thinking of the hunter that nearly did himself and Roxas in the night of the great battle. Maybe he didn't have to like being a vampir... but he did have the best interest of siblings in his heart. And with many out there that hoped to hurt them... no, he would not allow harm to befall them. Not before it befell himself at least. He nodded and ignored his brothers' slight surprise at his willingness as he spoke. "Alright then, what is our first lesson?"

Lesson upon lesson were learned that night, not only to the three newborns but the young delta as well. They may not be where they wanted but they were there nonetheless. As Luxord would say, you must play with the hand you are given for that is all you will receive.
Nights and days passed, unknowing if it was progressing or decaying as things that were once up could also be seen as down. The newborns passed their training, was given word to be able to leave from their master... and yet, where would they go? What should they do? Their hunger was increasing and the goblets at dinner could do so much. Larxene spoke that the only way to fill that hungry was to actually go out and take their own blood. There was no teachings as to do it, this lesson was to be on their own to learn.
With refusal from their eldest brother, the mirrored siblings decided it would need be time to do their first hunt and the knew the man that would be their first victim. It was far out enough that the hunter would not come yet still risky as it was. To their hometown they went, their movements fast and uneven as they took to the town by foot. Their remarkable speed got them there in a half hour, jumping the walls and climbing the rest to avoid the main gate. They found a cottage not too far from a large town house that was burn many years ago, having passed a fountain that held a burned corpse. The smell of her flesh was still fresh in the air and it was easy to say that she had lost her life that very same night.
To the cottage they went still and peered through a window that passed the door guard. Inside was an elder man, his hair now an easy gray as his bright red coat hung from the hook next to his bed. A quill was in his hand as he wrote some sort of paper. They spotted that this was not his home but quite possibly the one the woman lived in before she died. From word of mouth, this man now lived in a manor from found money under a house as old as the one burned. Had they known that it was their father's very own money that this man stole to make his riches, they would add they fury as well while they climbed in without a sound...
An oiled drenched cloth was pushed into his mouth, making his cries unheard. Nails racked into his skin, peeling it from his muscles as the twin tortured the man who took their mother. Another sin was committed that night, adding to their others. The sin of Wrath. Intestines were pull from his gut as he was still alive, his gushing blood being sucked upon like sweet syrup. Their actions were fed by one another, once again losing their minds to their wicked, demonic urges.
The wolves too were training, though their power was dulling by the day for the moon was undressing slowly. Two new wolves had joined but they all had more problems to worry about. Wolves that were not a part of this pack started to attack them randomly and taking down those who ventured in the woods on their own. It was no doubt an order from Xigbar but it could not be proven to call upon a hunt. The hunter was also more active these days, having shot down three within the days. It was common around this time of year that he gave them a visit for it was near mating season and the less wolves they had, the less offspring they could produce.
If it were not for Fang, Aqua would have been attack twice by the wolf that was bound to take her. Keeping the ways of the law, the one eyed hound only backed down from the guardian as she recited the pack ways. Aqua was indeed his but he had no right to take her before the mating season unless she submitted to him before that. Any further attempt would get him killed. If not by her, but by the pack itself. To keep the young wolf's mind off the subject, Fang took Aqua to the town more and more, guiding her to the library that Terra would read his material and watch them from afar as they socialized.
And she realized that their love was more human... Their love could be an issue for the pack to stay strong.
It was now the night before the new moon, a night where the wolves took down large numbers of pray to accommodate them for the night to come where they could not turn. It was a night that most vampir stayed away from the woods, taking their place in the manor or at the town.
One decided to go to town with the others, to socialize himself among the people and places he had never known even existed.
It was a crowded place, smelling strong of whiskey and smoke. There was also sweat and dirt from the days work before. The sound of an upbeat string instrument, bagpipe and drums filled the air, heels clicking against the wooden floor and people clapping to the music. Ladies were twirling as their dancing partners in suspenders danced around the main floor. Legs kicked up and hips shifted as they bounced and swayed around and around. A fair young woman laughed drunkenly as her dancing partner twirled around her wildly, his red hair bouncing as he moved his feet easily.
"WOOO!!" Their arms locked as their spun around each other, their legs kicking up high. As the music became faster, their arms unhinged and she was taken by another man as the tall dancer moved to a table in the back, watching out for a drunken fellow who fell and broke a table neck to him. Laughter was in his voice as he reached the table, two blondes enjoying a drink. His green eyes fixed on the youngest and his hand extended. "May I have a dance, master Roxas?"
There was a less upbeat scene in the forest as blue eyes looked up at the sliver of moon that hung in the sky. His eldest brother had become modest of them all, having been living off the animals that escaped into the courtyard. The night before, he had attended a church in town but could not even step through the door for even the symbol of the cross pained him to look at. He could not confess, he could not control the demon inside him. He was damned and it was eating him inside more than he ate his meal at night.
He could not even sit by the river that cleared this forest to meditate and collect his thoughts for the absence of his reflection drove him mad; one more sin that took over. Pride. So instead, he sat in a small clearing, not all too far from the manor. He had thought of finding the hunter and have him be killed so he could not sin anymore... but his love for his brothers were stronger. He was far from virgin after the nights he had spent with them these past days...
So lost in his negative mind, he did not realized that he was being watched... until he was sure it was too late once he heard a growl from the darkness.

Blue eyes peered out from the branches, nostrils flaring some as he sniffed the air carefully. He scented the smell of a steed and hot coal left upon the air. So, the hunter had already been hence, possibly not long ago. He jumped carefully from tree to tree, the leaves rustling from his weight as he rapidly made his path through the forest, keeping his eyes and ears open for the sound of the rider who might take his life.
It did not take him long to reach the end of the forest, but again he paused. The trial here was old - he must still be in the forest. He sighed in relief and hopped down to the trial and reached into his pocket, pulling out an item from it. It was a beautiful gold watch he found in the drawers of their room, not tarnished from the dust and age as it had been safely tucked in a box. He flipped open the top, satisfied with the clicking. It had been frozen in time when he had found it - stuck upon the hour of five and three quarters, but his claws proved useful yet again as he carefully took apart the little mechanism until it started to click once more.
He flipped it close and placed it for safe keeping into his pocket, knowing he had more than enough time before sunrise. He started to run down the trial, heading a way his brothers had taken many a weeks before to do a very ugly deed. But his purpose would not be the same as theirs.
Like they, he reached the edge of the town in the half of the hour, and walked bravely down a dusty road, knowing from the lack of lights most were in bed. He paused in front of a tremendous building, looking up at it with slight scorn, remembering the many days he had spent laying hungry in his bed, and holding his siblings close as they cried in fear and confusion over their predicament... until they were slowly split apart.
Had he been as his brothers, he might of walked within the walls to find the man who had so cruelly treated them and slit his throat with his claws... but it was not why he was here. His quick feet danced along the moonlight grass before he paused in front of a great oak it's branch even more grand then when he was but a child. "You have grown even more beautiful." He spoke to the tree, running his hand gently on the bark before leaning down, running his fingers along a small scar in one of it's upraised roots. "What if we can't find it again?" Ven asked in worry but watched as Sora picked up a rock, scratching along the root nearby, first one way and then the other. "Dis will help us! Now it is an X on da spot! Like a tweasuwe map!"
He smiled fondly, nodding with confidence and started to dig at the earth, uprooted grass as he did so, digging under the hollow of the root. It was a surprisingly smart plan that the boys of their age had not considered. The roots of the tree were bound to grow every year, further out and wild. Right under one, however, it was unlikely harm would come to any items stored underneath. Much quicker then his young hands, he happened upon the box, and after a few tugs was able to pull it free of the dirt. He ran his hands over the top of it, brushing away the dirt. The top was ruined, worn away by erosion and the mechanisms of the puzzle box seemed tough and unyielding. Yet when he shook it, hearing the items still inside, he smiled in relief. He filled the hole and stood, holding the box near as he patted the tree. "Thank you for your vigilant watch old friend."
He turned away and walked away, heading even further into town.
"Oh I am certain you must cheat!" Roxas laughed as he glanced at the cards between them, sipping the ale given to him at the bar. "Oh that's a high accusation mate." The other blonde, his British accent quite thick now that he was pleasantly drunk, proclaimed. He threw an arm over the blonde's shoulder, raising his drink high, "Listen chap. I do believe I am quite arseholed so I can't of possibly of managed the effort. So... belt up and bottoms up, ya?" Roxas blinked at the strange ending, remembering another man, one of darker skin. He shook his mind of them and nodded raising his glass. "Alright, cheers." The two clinked glasses before downing them both. With a loud slam both glasses hit the table, surprisingly intact, and Luxord was about to call for another round, hoping to drink the other blonde right under the table - but his eyesight caught a red-head's that was coming over to their table. He rose an eyebrow when the curious question was asked.
Even drunk, the blonde shifted uneasily under the man's gaze. At first he hadn't quite understood that he was no longer a slave or a servant. It was hard for him to accept he was on the same level as everyone else - well, except master Kuku of course. Sora had adapted to it the easiest, seeming relieved that he could speak his mind now however he wished and he took that bit for granted sometimes, his words sometimes very bold to the others.
For Roxas, his own relief came from finally feeling free. He no longer felt invisible shackles holding him down and needed no longer to look upon his shoulder for watching eyes and a waiting whip if he made mistakes. Yes, he was slowly growing to be able to talk to these people........ except this man. "I..." He finally found his tongue as he looked up at the other, unsure if he was joking or not. Had he caught his gazes? The ones of desire to be upon that floor? The stares he always spared Larxene and Axel whenever they took to their fun? "I do not believe my feet would compliment yours on that floor Lord Axel..."
Bloody teeth pulled away from the small rabbit carcass, leaving the rest for some scavenger to take. The night had been boring, the game had been short. He traveled through the forest, tail flickering behind him, wishing he could find a thrill to his night. The days had been quite long and arduous, full of mistake and trouble. With the vampir hunter hot on their flanks and wolves invading their space, there was nearly always a battle to be fought. Hunting paled in comparison to the thrill those nights brought.
He was about to turn about, maybe try and find the trails of a panther, when he caught a scent that made his nose wrinkle with disgust and his belly jump in hope. Vampir. What a great catch that would be - a story worth telling when he got home!
He licked his chops and held in a chuckle, following the scent quickly. The longer he trailed, the more vibrant it got, letting him know it was fresh. His paws calmed when the scent was so overcoming it burning his nostrils, and he lowered himself, walking slowly along the grass, doing his best not to make a sound.
Just as he reached the north most tree, he spotted him. His ears rose in surprise, then grinned, recognizing the Vampir that time ago had been stupid enough to wrap a wound. By now he had found his hate for them and was ready to fight. He was not far from the manor, and there was little telling who was about to rescue him if need be. But if he happened upon him quickly enough and got his fangs around his neck, it would be an easy kill.
He gave a snarl, a good warning, before his body sprung from the woods and powerful paws charged the land quickly for the newborn, his teeth gleaming and ready to take his head as he dived for him.

"How do you know it? Have you tried it yet?" The lord replied, his hand still offered to the youth. "I must admit, drunken feet are the most skilled at ever for this sort of dance. Simply do not think but do and the music will do its job." The blonde still hesitated, probably glancing at the dance behind the tall man to see how they danced so well. It was then that he tried to decline again but the lord refused it. "I too did not know how to dance. Had no means to do so with an estate and riches. I was but a mere wallflower upon parties, watching the young girls. I found that my feet were talented as they were dead... and I would of never learned to dance if I had not tried."
His exotic eyes looked deep into the other's, his ever so slightly smirk making his slightly drunken face look handsome and suave. He seemed to hypnotize the young vampir as his eyes flickered to a pearl color. "My night would feel complete if you just gave it a try."
Though he could speed walk, his reaction time was still very poor. Blue eyes widened as he heard a horrible snarl, making him scramble to his feet, whipped around only to see something large and furry flying at him with great speed. In seconds flat, he was on his back, the breath pushed from his longs. Luckily, he had eaten recently and still had astonishing strength. "AA-AAAAAH!!" He cried as his claws gripped onto the wolf's open jaw that was dripping with a poisonous saliva. Their muscles struggled as one wanted to bit a windpipe and the other wanted to fling one off.
The two wrestled some, the wolf being the stronger of the two, keeping the young vampir on the forest floor. Fangs bared, sharp and deadly as Vantus hissed as his legs tried to hit the stomach or sides but this wolf was tactful. His pearl colored eyes opened, hatefully looking up at his natural foe before they suddenly widened, turning a true blue once more. "Y-you! I-I t-t-t-told you THAT I....rrrrrgh!! Don't want to.... f-fight you!" He struggled to speak as the jaws tossed around viciously and violently, trying to overpower Ven's arms so he could snap his pretty little neck.

Further away from the fun and fancy, Sora stared silently at the wooden door before sneaking about the darkened house, glancing within the windows. Most rooms were quiet empty - both of people and things. One room was a living room he recalled but all that was left of what he was knew of it was a rug on the floor and the fireplace in the corner. He shifted to the next one, seeing the kitchen now. Most cupboard doors were gone and they were mostly empty and bare but a few cans on their shelves.
He shook his head moving once more to see now an empty bedroom. His eyes grew sad remembering the hours he'd play with dolls in this room with his siblings and friend while two women talked down the hall. He moved finally to the last window expected to see much the same in the bedroom - and was slightly shocked when he saw two women in the room, laying on a bed. the closet doors were gone, displaying their meager supply.
They seemed fast asleep under the thin sheet and the sight of him made him grow sad, realizing why the rooms looked so desolate. They must have been slowly selling everything they had to survive year from year... now that Gin was not around. They did not even have the money for a dowry to find Lilo a husband.
He set the treasure box on the floor and carefully with his claws pried the window open. He snuck in, his toes floating just a little above the floor - a trick he pulled off surprisingly quickly even to Marluxia's shock - and he glided across the room to their bedside, looking down upon them. He stared silently for a time, sighing in sadness for young Lilo. She was turning into a beautiful woman, her face already lost of chubbiness and her breasts full. Firi, her mother, has seen better days. Her face showed lines from long years of grief and sorrow.
He bowed his head his feet touching the floor softly. Even still now, he remembered the way Gin stood on that trial, so brave and strong as they gunned him down. It was a memory that would live with him always. But because of his action... he left his family to suffer. Now he must give back to them for what their brave, noble kin had given him. He was forever in their debt.
He reached into his pocket, pulling out the watch, looking at it's pure gold, antique face. He had been so proud of fixing it, having kept it at his side for weeks now. But he did not need it - not as they did. He leaned over them, breathing softly, and a small mist breathed over them, furthering them into their dreams. He reached out, picking up Firi's hand - saddened to find even her wedding ring was gone - and with care he laid the watch upon her palm. "I am sorry this has happened to you both..." He laid her hand back down and smiled before he walked out, not caring the noise his feet made as he left by the window and closed it behind him. There would be questions without answers he knew, concerns and hopes of good luck... he would have to write them a letter soon if he did this again - which he knew in his heart he would.
He picked up the treasure box looking down upon it and back at the house. He hesitated as if paying with the idea of leaving it too... but he knew he could not. Part of the possessions were not his own and the ones he did have... he needed for a different purpose. He started to walk back towards the edge of town glancing at the stars. "I am in your debt... so I will watch over them Gin. I will ascertain they find the good life you all deserved."
"I.......... I suppose... it can not hurt..." Roxas finally gave in weakly, reaching out his hand, feeling proud it was not shaking. He gripped the other's fingers, and would have squeaked at the strength the other used to pull him to his feet and lead him to the dance floor.
His eyes shifted nervously about him as they entered the throng of guests, and this time he truly did squeak when a hand curled around his waist, holding him closer. Axel was amused by this, chuckling at him. He blushed, "Should... you really be holding me as if I am a women?" He hissed lowly, as not to ensure his own emasculation.
"Is that so?" Terrs said - or tried to say. With Ven's hands holding his jaw apart, it came out more like 'Izh zat zo?'. He continued to yank his head about, the blonde's fingers slipping on the slimey teeth as drool dribbled from his fangs, grip nearly broken. If the blonde was less preoccupied with saving his life, he would of took note of something strange. The scent of the wolf's teeth and the meat and blood smeared on them belaided he had recently had his feast of the night.
But what was truly odd was that one side of his mouth was completely clean, the teeth still a pearly white, as if he decided to not eat on that side. The reason why was discovered quite abruptly as Terra turned his head yet again, the yank harsh enough to make Ven's fingers slip even further back, running along one of the molars that he couldn't see in the darkness of his mouth. It ran over a tooth no longer white but yellow and brown, some spots of it even black, a sign of rot. The fingers unknowingly closed around it, the pressure immense.
The young vampir was again shocked as Terra suddenly yelped wildly and yanked his head back the mouth so unexpected his hands slipped free. But instead of going for the kill the pressure of the wolf was gone as he stumbled off of him and walked in a nervous circle to face the vampir from a distance holding his jaw open some, his eyes watering from the pain. "Damn..." He cursed, shaking his head being careful as he closed his mouth the rest of the way and he snarled at the other.

As the young vampir left the house, one of the women stirred before beautiful eyes opened, his pale skin only making them more precious. They said in town that her eyes looked like they had captured the stars, in which they did since there were such small little bits of light that shinned it seemed. Slowly she rose, looking at the bare window. "Sora...?" She whispered, her breath coming in front of her as it was awfully cold in the house. Had she gone completely mad? She had sworn that she had seen a man around her age with wild brown spiky hair leaning over her only a moment ago. Perhaps... it was just a dream. Sora had died in the house fire so very long ago....
The man grinned as his hand was taken, only able to pull the blonde right from his chair and bring him to the middle of where people were dancing. They danced around them as long arms wrapped around the blonde's waist and he could hear over the music of his issue. "Pardon my ways, young master but I only know how to dance with a woman. Let this be a lesson for both of us!" He started to move his feet, dragging the blonde with him as they bounced a bit, following the motions of the ones around them. "Loosen up! Don't think!" He called to the boy who was still stiff with novice.
If a matter of minutes, the two were twirling around, their shoes hitting the wooden floor hard as their arms sung to move their bodies. The lord's coat shifted as he danced, a smile on his face. Even Luxord started to come over with his mug, clapping the best he could as he watched both have faces of laughter.
"NAA!! S-STOP!" The vampir cried out as the vicious struggle continued, making his nice clothes spoil in the dirt. Why had he not listen to the warning that the others gave to stay out of the forest tonight. He was bound to meet this wolf one day but he was hoping not so soon. It was a blessing for him, though he believe he was not worth it, that since it was but a sliver in the sky, the wolf wasn't nearly as strong as he could of been any other night.
"TCH!!" He gasped as another powerful thrust came from the wolf's head, his fingers soaked with saliva dug even deeper into the jowls. He knew it wasn't the broken neck that would kill him... but the poison in the saliva that would kill him. That and the lose of blood of course. But what made his eye widened as the sudden action of the wolf pulling away. He laid on the ground for only a second, panting harshly to catch his breath before sitting up, watching the wolf walk around him. His face seemed all wrong, crooked in a way as his tongue lapped out a bit.
What had he done?
At the snarl, the vampir frowned. "What is it that pained you?"

He was not quite sure if it was a spell or he truly had little inhibition as he danced upon the floor, his confidence growing even as he stumbled upon their shows. The greatest comfort he had was that Axel's hands would catch his elbow or arms surprisingly warm like the fires he used to burn buildings down encircled him, never letting him fall.
"This is quite enjoyable..." Roxas admitted with a smile as Axel lead him into a twirl, the flash of excitement in his eyes showing so freely telling the other he loved the spinning motion. He continued to speak though, feeling braver to him then ever before as they spoke in confidence. "I fear to say I was growing quite jealous and feeling so left out all these years. Even those of black skin danced and I, grown with such a poor leg, always had to sit to the side and watch and wonder."
At the question, triangular ears shot up some and he snarled, shaking his head ferociously. "Like I would tell you such a weakness! I am not such a fool!" But the blonde nudged for answers again, and something about his tone dripped with sincere concern. It made the wolf falter - once, again in confusion. He had been in the presence of newborns - had snapped the bones of many.
Not once in his years had he met once so far upon his weeks still so humane. And truly, what could he do with the knowledge? It was not weakness that affected much but his eating habits. "If you really must know for your inane reasons, it is but a tooth upon the back of my jaws that has gone bad. I had noticed it weeks ago, and it has grown inflamed and infected. But I will warm you, the strength of my bite is not hindered by it so do not believe you are safe from this teeth." He gave a great smirk then, showing off the menacing jagged teeth.
Again he was surprised when the blonde did not raise to the bait of his challenge - and yet instead asked why he had not yet pulled it. Terra had to freeze his tail from wagging, hating the excitement he was finding in this idea of speaking knowledge to another. This was not the thrill he had been seeking. Perhaps he was spending too much time with humans. Even still, he found himself answering.
"I should not be surprised you know so little of canine anatomy." He licked his teeth, and nodded. "I suppose enlightening you about what you will face is a nice to terrify you with. Count your teeth vampir. You have twenty-eight. Thirty-two if your last molars have grown though I suspect by your age they did not and they will not. However if you were to count mine, you would find forty-two. Ten of them are only exposed to air when I am upon this form and I am unlucky that this is one of them. I can not pull it. That is but a small hindrance to not having thumbs at this stage."

"Ah, then the rebirth was kind to you then!" Axel called as he twirled the young one again before pulling him close, their eyes locking onto one another. "For a lame leg, your spirit of dance is well in you. Perhaps it was waiting for this moment all its life." He smiled once more, his elegant and charming face seemed to captivate the blonde as they danced only a few moments more before the song ended. They panted softly though filled with a bout of laughter was they walked towards Luxord, all heading back to their table in the back.
They all sat down and a drink was placed in front of the redhead by a pretty little wench that made Axel lick his lips. "I give ye thanks~" He grinned, making her blush as she walked off. Slowly he turned back to his table, taking a sip of his drink. "So, dear Roxas, why your leg was so lame? Many reasons it could be but I am curious."
Ventus continued to sit upon the ground, his eyes narrowed and still panting some through his fangs as he listened to the other. Very untrusting was the dog as he seemed to hesitate his answer before enlightening him. The talk of teeth actually brought him back to his years where his mother's warmth was still in his home. Very seldom did the elder man come to their home and placed them in a seat that his assistant tilted back. It was only when they were a tad older that they used their mother's fainting chair for it.
He would gather information on their teeth, clicking them around the end of the exception to make them laugh with a song. It was only once that he made one of the three boys cry as he pulled a tooth right from his head! Said that the boy was finding stray pieces of candy too much. Roxas was miserable though funny looking with a heap of wet cloth upon his face.
The two stood in silence for a moment before Ventus slowly sat up, making the wolf get into a defensive stance. "I have thumbs though, you see?" He spoke, presenting a hand for the wolf to gaze upon. "So happens that my grandfather was a dentist and thought us some things to remember. I can certainly aid you in pulling the tooth... only if you promise you will not break my arm while doing so."

After such an exhilarating dance - though he was still under great awares that Axel's feet put his own to a great shame, he sipped upon the new glass of ale, enjoying its coolness spreading down his throat. He was silent at the exchange between Axel and the waitress, feeling oddly bothered by it but unsure why... and then even more was the peculiar moment when he felt pleased Axel was paying attention to he once more.
This topic made him frown, setting his glass down. He ran a finger carefully along the rim, before telling the story softly. "I was given it upon my birth date. A fine May spring it was, warmer then most and unfavorable. Mother had had nearly a perfect birth though everyone knew she was quite large - unnaturally so. She never knew she had the stomach of three. She fell once - father told us. Only once - a slip in the kitchen and by the grace of God she landed upon her back. When she went into labor as seemed fine. First Sora came, a head of brown and a mouth that can scream for everyone to hear. Then Ven was next, a soft blonde... and making a fuss as he always seems to. And then finally I did..."
He paused, and sighed a hand running over his hip by habit though it was now perfect. "Yet I did not leave like they did. I was born by my bottom first. The Africans call it a breech birth as it breeches the natural. My right leg came out fine but during the labor my left got twisted up to my chest and the pressure and the soft bones twisted my hip outwards. The doctor and midwife urged my mother to force my death that day as what life could I live as such... but my mother was gracious with her love to me and did not allow harm to befall. I was awkward compared to everyone else, but I got by."
Moonshine eyes blinked, and then to Ven's surprise they shifted to a crystallized blue and a wide grin split the vicious mouth as he threw back his head and howled with laughter. Baffled and offended, the blonde demanded whatever was so funny. "Are you so naive?!" Terra said his mirth obvious even still. "Can you believe but a word? Is that your only protection from my bite if I were to give it to you? And I, do you believe me such a jest in mind that I would allow you to be so intimately close upon my throat in which you could tear out my esophagus?" He shook his head, laughing even moreso. "Vampir with thoughts like that of your enemies you will not live out the next full moon!"

The man seemed to be fixated on the story that the young blonde spoke, nodding as he explained his situation. His forehead pinched however as he heard the last bit, a frown on his face. "I would presume you were once child to a rich family for the stories our master has spoken. What ever did they believe a lame legs child should be butchered down to a house of riches? Not spoken that any mother who loved her child, whether poor or rich should fathom the option. As long as you are present, there for them when needed, there is no handicap at all."
He took another sip from his mug before licking his lips, the tips of his fangs barely seen. If he was not with respected company, they would be completely hidden. "My own kin had a fault. His mind was abstract and he did not understand the topics of study. With my profession and... obsession, I still found the time to sit and be a father. He would not of hindered... if it were not for my madness..." Slowly he strayed off, his eyes moving elsewhere as he ran a finger around the mouth of the mug. It was easy to spot that he was no longer in this conversation.
Luckily, Luxord picked it up, knowing that all conversations that brought up the son of the lord ended in sorrow. It was one of the only connection he had of his past that haunted him still.
Fangs bared as he suddenly heard a rude laugh, making his fist clench but carefully as to not break his skin. "What are you laughing about!?" He cried, anger boiling within him. This laughter only reminded him of the wicked Hayner, whom laughed at every idea he carried from his mouth.
"I believe upon a word for the sake of honor, you hound! If trickery pleases you, you will not win even if you take my life. It would be a poor excuse of a catch and a faulty victory on your part!" He cursed before frowning more. "And you are yet my enemy for I do not understand this war in which I am forced to fight. I only believe you as an enemy of you have wronged me or my siblings on a personal basis in which you have not. I know of your bullying ways and neither you nor I would be selfish enough to give into it."
Slowly he calmed himself, sighing softly before looking at the wolf again. "And I will not force my help upon you. If you are stubborn enough not to take kindness from one not of your own, I do not wish to help you. You judge me for who I am, like a master to his servant... than what I really am and what I can offer in truth. This, my wolf, his your own hindrance, not my own."

Talk at the table started again steering clear of the approaching topic and Roxas inwardly felt guilty for the fear and disgust he once held for Axel for killing his own son. Sure, he did not believe it to a be very justifiable to kill one's kin... but the mourn and grief in his eyes told him he knew of his sin and wished to repent terribly and was now too far from God's hand to accept that aid. It was a horrible position to be frozen in...
And dearly he wished he could offer more comfort that night then he did, laying his hand gently upon his arm before the nervous fingers moved away as the green gaze landed on him, unnerved by their stare. He kept his hands to himself the rest of the night.
"Mmm....." Came the soft rumble, the wolf seeming to look to the side as if uncaring for his words. It lowered Ven's guard just a bit, and there was a jerk and a blur and then Terra's paws hit his chest forcing him to the ground yet again. But his eyes were still blue, and his tail was actually flicking, showing his amusement. He was actually playing with the Vampir!
He blamed the pain of his tooth. He would not of fancied such notions otherwise!
"You speak words and passions of humans, fascinating as they are. I can image you too must even be deeply enthralled with their religions still, your words are very Christian." There was a spark of recognition and surprise. "Twas easy to pick that out. Your faith is that a human shares upon another." He chuckled before leaning down, purring softly, "I have no fear of you young one. Would you be so treacherous as to betray me I could catch you before you accomplished a feat. But do you truly believe so easily...? Or is your faith wavering? I dare upon you..." He grinned before opened his mouth wide, teeth gleaming wet. An open invitation. One he did not expect Ven to follow through with but shrink back from, mocking his old ways.

The the chatter began between the three once more it was to Axel's shock that he felt a hand on his arm. Slowly his eyes wandered down, glancing at the smaller hand before slowly following the limb it was attached to until he saw the blue eyes he became accustom to. They stared at one another for some time before the elder blonde threw them some cards. Even so, all bars must sleep and they were the last ones to be escorted out. Dawn would be upon them in three hours and as they walked, both the elder vampir paused as their noses lift to smell a familiar scent.
"The dhampir has return for rest, it would be wise to make haste back to the manor." The hunter killed only wolves this night but he knew best that he would hunt them in the new moon for they were free to walk without conflict. They did so, entering through the front door before Luxord drunkenly went to the kitchen where the servants were. It was Axel who paused, glancing at the somewhat lost blonde. He was always found with his siblings and it seemed none were in the home. "Would you accompany me to my room, Roxas?" He asked before jumping up onto the balcony in which his room were down the hall.
This was the first invitation any of the newborn had to go into another's private quarters.
"AAhh!" Ventus called as he was sudden back on the ground, about to struggle before realizing their was no true threat. His eyes widened as he talked of his faith, making his eyes dark with guilt... but then lightened with a chance of hope. Could he still be a Christian and vampir? Was it possible? Of course not... he would be merely a hypocrite.
A breath was taken as the large jaws were opened, exposing the rows of sharp teeth. The blonde swallowed, his hand hesitating as he pulled it from the ground, slowly brushing off the dirt onto his shirt. One bite and he was a goner. Would his brothers hate him for such a foolish thought? No, for they were Christian too! He needed to help this poor hound... for it was the right thing to do.
He gave one good look into the wolf's eyes before slowly passing his hand inside a bit. "Lay your tongue as flat as you can... and what side would it be?" When the wolf's tongue pointed to the spot, he nodded the best he could in his position. Slowly, he pushed the cheek away so that the molars in the back were easily seen. With his enhanced sight, he could see them clearly and most of all, he could see the rotten tooth. The gums around it were red, most likely from the irritation he caused to it during the struggle. "This will pain you greatly but please find no threat." Ventus warned before his hand reached back further until his fingers were above the back teeth.
Slowly, his index and thumb grabbed each side of the tooth before wiggling it some, hearing the strange sounds from the wolf's throat. It was painful and he could feel the jaws lower around him.... but not threatening. Ven's eyes closed before he knew what he had to do. His thumb claw ripped through the gums that clung onto the tooth as did his index before giving one strong yank. The tooth came loose, root and all before it was quickly pulled away from the powerful jaws. The poor wolf cried in pain, making Ven pant with worry. Quickly, he reached under his jacket to a clean part of his under shirt before ripping a large piece off, crumpling it together before taking the wolf's snout and shoved the ball of cloth all the way back to pause the bleeding.
He pulled away quick again before backing away, watching the wolf shake his head. "Keep that cloth there for some time and replace it when you can. It will be sore for some time but if you clean it, put clean cloth over it and make sure no substance gets caught in it.... it will surely heal." His hand opened, bloody some from the gums but he revealed the rotten tooth that he had pulled.
